Call of Duty: Ghosts

overview pic

Howdy, and welcome to the True Achievements walkthrough for Call of Duty: Ghosts on the Xbox One.

In the following pages, I will detail how to earn each achievement in the game - across Single Player and Extinction modes.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is the 10th installment in the Call of Duty franchise. The campaign was written by award-winning writer Stephen Gaghan (Syriana, Traffic), and developed by Infinity Ward. Here is a brief synopsis of the campaign:

"Set to occur ten years after a devastating mass event, the United States of America is no longer a superpower, with its economy and government in ashes. The remainder of the nation's Special Operations forces, the Ghosts, fight a newly emerged technologically-superior global power, not for freedom, or liberty, but simply to survive."

Good luck, as the game's a relatively short, fun completion.

Campaign Hints & Tips

The single-player campaign in this game, as with most Call of Duty games, is very straight-forward because you will always have an objective marker in each mission (where you're supposed to go, who you're supposed to follow, what to destroy, etc.). Because of this, I won't write what you're supposed to be doing at every single point in each mission. However, I will always mark points of interest where you're required to grab a collectible or do something else for a miscellaneous achievement. Therefore, I recommend you read ahead a bit to see what and where your next achievement will be.

There are a total of 18 collectibles to grab, one per mission, called "Rorke Files". I'll provide locations of the intel via text as specific as possible, but they are also all hyperlinked to this video by PowerPyx in case you need a visual guide. All intel is easy enough to gather on Veteran difficulty, which will be the difficulty you select for your first playthrough, but some miscellaneous achievements might be easier to grab via chapter select on Recruit difficulty after you've completed the story.

In the main menu, choose Campaign > New Game > Veteran. It is far more efficient to have your first playthrough be on Veteran difficulty so you can grab all of the collectibles and miscellaneous achievements in one playthrough. However, if some miscellaneous achievements / collectibles end up being too difficult for you to complete on Veteran difficulty, you can always mop them up on an easier difficulty via chapter select after you complete the main story.

While I found Ghosts' veteran campaign to be easier than previous Call of Duty games, you'll find it is still a very challenging difficulty. Here are some tips before you begin:

  • Take cover as much as possible, and proceed slowly. If you're out in the open, even just one enemy can tear you apart and send you back to your last checkpoint.
  • Take advantage of the auto-aim system in this game by quickly snapping to an enemy with cn_LT, shoot, and repeat with other enemies.
  • Your squadmates in this game are much more helpful than in previous Call of Duty campaigns, and they'll even provide you with helpful callouts (i.e., follow and listen to your squadmates).
  • If you feel like you've hit a wall and simply can't proceed, take a break. Seriously. There are a few sections that can cause excruciating frustration. When this happens, it's best to just put the controller down, take a break, and come back refreshed.

Mission 1: Ghost Stories

The prologue consists of an introduction to the Ghost's, the main characters (Elias, Hesh, and Logan) and an overview of the 'mass event' that occurs at a space station, and on Earth.

Objective: Return to ODIN control

Once you're in the flashback in space, your station will be hijacked by enemies. The game will naturally provide you with a gun during this section, and once you kill an enemy, you'll unlock:

Once the space section ends, you'll be back in the present with Hesh. As you sprint forward and avoid the destruction, keep to the right side and you'll quickly come upon a house that has a car parked in the driveway. Vault over the car, enter the already opened door to the house, and laying on the floor is Rorke File 1/18.

Continue to follow Hesh. Upon completing the mission, you'll unlock:

Mission 2: Brave New World

Objective: Backup Team at LA River Checkpoint

Once you've fought through the sewer section and reach the end (green smoke with friendlies), you'll be told to pick up a launcher that's laying on a crate (the "MAAWS). Holding cn_LT aims a laser that directs the shot of your rocket after firing with cn_RT. Shortly after you pick up the launcher, 2 attack choppers will fly in. Your goal is to take out both of the choppers using the launcher. The first attack chopper flies in low and will go away if you're not quick enough to take it out (if this happens, simply reload your checkpoint). Once you've destroyed the first chopper, do the same thing with the second chopper flying above. Once you've taken out both choppers, you'll unlock:

Liberty Wall

Take down both attack helicopters in Brave New World.

Objective: Report to Elias with Hesh

Once you've reunited with Elias, follow him upstairs with Hesh, and sitting on the table just before the balcony is Rorke File 2/18. Follow Elias and Hesh out on to the balcony, and the mission will end. Upon completing the mission, you'll unlock:

Mission 3: No Man's Land

Objective: Gather Intel on Federation Activity in the Area; Meet Up with Recon Team

Early on in the mission, you will be in control of Riley (the dog) to sneak up on and attack enemies. There will be two different instances where you play as Riley in this mission. For your next achievement, you need to kill a total of 10 enemies as Riley. This is quite easy to complete as long as you're patient and avoid getting spotted. The first time you play as Riley, there are a total of 4 enemies to kill. Once you've killed the fourth enemy, you will automatically progress in the mission. Later on in the mission, when you play as Riley again, there will be more than enough enemies for you to kill the 6 left for your achievement. To avoid getting spotted, make sure you stay in the tall grass as much as possible, and try and predict enemy movements. Once you've gotten your 10th kill as Riley, you'll unlock:

Blimey O'Riley

Pounce on 10 enemies whilst controlling Riley.

Shortly after your first time being in control of Riley, you will come across an old construction site that has a lot of debris. At the end of this site, you'll see a metal building (it's the only building in this area). Inside of the building, on the middle table, is Rorke File 3/18.

Mission 4: Struck Down

During this mission, you will be in control of a remote sniper a total of 4 times. While you're in control of the remote sniper, you need to make sure you do not miss a single shot for an achievement. Some people have reported that when they've missed a shot, they reloaded their checkpoint, continued on with the mission, and earned the achievement. However, this doesn't seem to be the case for everyone. You can certainly try and reload your checkpoint and try again if you do miss a shot. However, if it doesn't work for you, then simply skip this achievement for now and play it on an easier difficulty via chapter select later.

Objective: Rescue Ajax

Once you ambush the convoy and drive up into the stadium, you need to clear the entire upper balcony and progress forward until you'll be given control of the remote sniper for the first time. During this sequence, you just need to kill 1 or 2 enemies, then your teammates will do the rest (remember, you can't miss a shot!).

Shortly after this, you will be in control of the sniper again. This time, there are a total of 4 RPG-wielding enemies you need to kill before you can proceed with the mission.

Later on in the mission, you'll breach another door. Once it's breached and the enemies are dead, go to the left side from where you entered, and resting inside of a locker is Rorke File 4/18.

Objective: Escape From the Enemy Base

Shortly after collecting the Rorke file, you'll enter your third remote sniper segment. This one is the trickiest, because there are a lot of enemies for you to kill, and they move around a lot. Simply take your time and make sure you will hit your shot before you fire. Once it's clear, head to the chopper, and you'll soon enter your fourth and final sniper segment. This one is fairly easy, since all you need to do is shoot the gunners that are on top of the vehicles. For not missing a single shot with the remote sniper for the entire mission, you'll unlock:

Mission 5: Homecoming

Objective: Get to the Front Lines

At the very beginning of the mission, follow your squad through the camp until you enter a small house. Before heading up the stairs in front of you, go left to the small room, where sitting on a table is Rorke File 5/18.

Objective: Defend the Beach from the Federation Invasion

As you're defending the attack, you'll eventually be given the option of calling in A-10 attack drones at several different points. Make sure you use these attacks whenever they're available, along with ensuring the drone strike is aimed at a large group of enemies. The attack itself is very powerful, and you shouldn't have any problem killing a total of 50 enemies during the mission. Although you're supposed to use the drone strikes to take out choppers and tanks, you can simply use the attack to take out large groups of infantry as well. Once you've killed a total of 50 enemies with the drone strikes, you'll unlock:

Mission 6: Legends Never Die

Objective: Get to Higher Ground; Locate Almagro

Early on in the mission, you will fail your objective, and the city will flood. Once you reach the roof, it will collapse, then you'll be swept by the flood and left with only your knife. Rorke will tell you to sneak up on an enemy and take him out with your knife. When you do this, make sure you are crouched underwater as you press the melee button, since you need to work on killing a total of 6 enemies with your knife while you're underwater. Although this is possible to complete on Veteran, this might be one that you want to mop-up later on an easier difficulty if you're struggling.

Just after you get the first underwater knife kill, you'll follow Rorke up to the high ground, where you'll then have to cross a long, moving platform to get to the building on the other side. Once you've made it to the building, there will be two enemies in the first room to kill. Once they're taken care of, head to the computer desk behind them and grab Rorke File 6/18.

Objective: Regroup with Merrick

Shortly after grabbing the Rorke file, you'll come up to some enemy sections where some enemies are above water on high ground, while others are in the water. This is where you need to continue killing enemies with your knife while you are crouched underwater. Enemies will still see you when you're crouched underwater, so you can't really take a "stealthy" approach here. However, just try your best to maneuver through the water to get close to enemies, then quickly crouch and kill them with your knife. Again, if you find this to be too difficult (you likely will), then you can mop this up later on an easier difficulty. However, once you do manage to kill 6 enemies with your knife while you're crouched underwater, you'll unlock:

Mission 7: Federation Day

Objective: Capture the HVT

Play through the opening scenes until you cut open the window and enter the building. Once inside, go around the left-hand side wall and enter the first room on your left. In the back right corner of this room, on one of the desks, you'll find Rorke File 7/18.

Objective: Upload Virus to the Power System

Shortly after gathering the Rorke file, you'll be tasked with uploading the virus. Once that's done, you'll hook back up to your rappel. Once you're on the rappel again, look down and to the left for a balcony with two enemies on it. Take them out, then descend two more floors down and look inside of the window to find an enemy sleeping on a chair. Shoot him to unlock:

Continue the rappel section, then you'll end up back inside of the building. During these sections, you'll go through several rooms of enemies to kill. Continue onwards until you disable the elevators and hook up to the ropes. While you're rappeling on the ropes, an explosion will occur above you and debris will start flying out. One of these pieces of debris is a large, white photocopy machine. Simply let the machine hit you as it's falling (it may or may not kill you), and you'll unlock:

Mission 8: Birds of Prey

At the beginning of this mission, you'll be in control of an Apache helicopter. The helicopter has lock-on missiles as well as a machine gun for you to use.

Objective: Assault Factory

Use a combination of your lock-on missiles as well as your machine gun to take out the targets marked on your screen. As you are flying around, you'll notice that there are a bunch of fuel canisters in nearly every building. As you are flying around, check every rooftop, house, and bridge for fuel canisters. When you see one, shoot it so that it explodes. You need to destroy a total of 80 fuel canisters, which might seem like a lot, but they're everywhere. Here's a visual guide for you, just in case there's some hidden away in areas you may have missed. Once you've destroyed 80 fuel canisters, you'll unlock:

Objective: Find Rorke

Once the helicopter section ends, you'll be on the ground with your squad. Keep progressing forward, taking out enemies along the way, and you'll eventually end up back in the Apache helicopter again. Once that's done, you'll be back on the ground. Continue forward, and you'll end up in a room with Rorke himself. While your teammate deals with Rorke, quickly head to the desk in the middle of the room that he was leaning on for Rorke File 8/18.

Shortly after grabbing the Rorke file, the mission will end, unlocking:

Mission 9: The Hunted

During this mission, you will end up alone in enemy territory. For an achievement, you need to make it through the entire mission without being spotted. In general, you need to be patient in predicting enemy movements. Furthermore, you should not engage any enemies unless you are told to do so, or if you absolutely need to in order to avoid being spotted. If you are spotted, you can quickly reload your last checkpoint and try again.

Objective: Regroup with Ghosts

Once you're in the jungle, you need to meet up with your squad without getting spotted. This isn't very difficult to accomplish, as long as you take it slow and are constantly looking at your heartbeat sensor for enemies. Remember, I recommend you don't engage with enemies unless it's absolutely necessary to proceed. At your first checkpoint, you'll come upon some burning rubble. To get through this area, stick to the left side and proceed forward in a clockwise-motion, using the natural cover when necessary. At the end of this area, there will be a waterfall on the left-hand side (this is where you regroup with the Ghosts). Before proceeding forward, look on the left side rocks just before the waterfall to find Rorke File 9/18.

Objective: Evac to the River for Exfill

Now that you've regrouped with the Ghosts, you need to complete the remainder of the mission without being spotted. This is fairly easy to accomplish now that you're with your squad again, since they will tell you what to do in most sections. After you get through the river section, you'll be in another forest. Again, just stick with your squad and proceed slowly in order to avoid detection. Once you're through the forest, you'll be in some tall grass while enemies are heading in your direction. To avoid being spotted here, simply stay directly behind one of the Ghosts and keep crouched the entire time.

Once you've made it through the tall grass, Hesh will say, "Holy shit. Is that nuclear?" -- when this happens, you need to sprint ahead to the rocks in front of you, then immediately go prone in the tall grass just prior to them, because a chopper will quickly appear on your position. If you're not quick enough going prone in the tall grass, you will be spotted.

Once the chopper passes, you're home free. Simply follow your squad to the exfill, where you'll complete the mission and unlock:

Mission 10: Clockwork

Objective: Get Into Base Undetected

Once you and your squad drive into the base and the power goes out, you'll be told to use your night vision goggles to kill the enemies. Once the enemies by the gate are taken care of, head up the stairs and into the room on your right that's labeled "Sector 2". Inside of this room, sitting on the table with a computer is Rorke File 10/18.

Continue playing the mission and you'll get to a section where you have to defend a room while a file downloads. During this section, make use of all your equipment (i.e., mines, turrets) along with your tactical and lethal grenades. I found it best to stay in the equipment room for a while, then gradually move out to the catwalks as more enemies spawn in at different areas in the room. Once you hold off the attack while the download completes, you'll exit the facility.

Objective: Get to the Extraction Point

As you're escaping the facility in a vehicle, you will take control of a grenade launcher turret while enemy vehicles are chasing you. With this turret, you'll be going for an achievement to make a total of 8 vehicles fall into ice holes. In order to create an ice hole, you simply need to aim the grenade launcher a bit in front of one of the vehicles chasing you and shoot the ice. Once you've shot a hole open in the ice, the enemy vehicle will fall into the hole once it drives over it. Note that not every vehicle will actually "fall" into the hole, and they'll sometimes just hit the hole and spin out -- this counts as them "falling" into the hole. Once you've destroyed a total of 8 vehicles via the ice holes, you'll unlock:

Mission 11: Atlas Falls

As you play through the first half of the mission, make sure you do not use any of your flashbangs or grenades. Both of these are essential for an achievement you'll be going for about halfway through the mission (while on Veteran difficulty).

Although you won't be using lethal or tactical grenades for the first half of the mission, don't worry -- there aren't a ton of enemies, and your squadmates are very helpful in the beginning sections.

Objective: Fight to the Pressure Regulators

Once you've ascended using the grapple gun, you'll have to clear out a few rooms of enemies. Once you've moved up to deck two, Hesh will use tape to blow open a door, then you'll head upstairs. At the end of this area, a quick cinematic will occur where you'll breach a door and Merrick will throw you down so you avoid the gunfire. Once the door is opened, do not enter it -- this room is known as the "common room", and you need to clear it without taking any damage while on Veteran. This is easier than it sounds, as long as you've hung on to your flashbangs and grenades.

To start, simply edge your way to the doorway and toss in a couple of flashbangs, followed by some frag grenades. Be very careful with how far you peek into the room, as you can take damage almost instantly if you're too exposed. Once you've exhausted all of your frags and flashbangs, then slowly sweep the room with your guns. It's worth noting that Merrick and Hesh can also be helpful in taking out some enemies, so just take this section slow. You'll know the room is clear once you've earned a checkpoint. Speaking of which, if you do get hurt, you can simply restart your checkpoint and try again. Once all of the enemies are dead, and you never took any damage, you'll unlock:

Once you've cleared the common room, you'll go through another door into a control room, where Merrick deals with the foreman. Before you interact with the controls, enter the small room on the right side, and grab Rorke File 11/18.

Objective: Take out the Enemies on MG's

Later on in the mission, after you've taken out the enemy MG's, you'll head up some stairs and will be told to maintain the water pressure while Merrick overloads the pumps. This is done by interacting with the console to remove the dead body, then you'll be in control of the water pressure valves. All you need to do is move cn_LSu and cn_LSd and try to keep the three bars in the middle, such that they are colored green. If they move into the yellow for a bit, that's okay, as long as you quickly adjust them so they're green again. If it turns red, you'll fail and will need to reload the checkpoint or the entire mission and try again. Once all of the pumps have been blown up, and you kept the pressure bars from entering the red zone, you'll unlock:

Mission 13: End of the Line

In the very beginning of the mission, you will be given a prompt to drop down and kill an enemy with your knife. This is the first out of five silent kills you need to obtain at the beginning of this mission. The remaining 4 silent kills need to be done by you, and not your teammates. If you do end up getting spotted, you can simply reload the entire mission and try again. Here is a visual guide you can follow along with:

Objective: Infiltrate the Factory

After your first silent kill, proceed forward and slide out of the forest into the train yard. On your left side, just near the first set of train tracks, there will be a single enemy patrolling. You can either take him out with a well-placed headshot, or sneak up behind him and melee him for your second stealthy kill.

Next, continue to follow your teammates towards the building on the left. You will come to an area where there are 3 enemies ahead of you, and your teammate will tell you to take the shot. Headshot any one of these enemies, and your teammates will clear up the rest, giving you your third stealthy kill.

Just after that, your teammate will open up the garage door in front of you. As the door opens, go prone and quickly take out the next 2 enemies that will appear right in front of you. Since these are your last 2 enemies to take out, you can spray your suppressed weapon to quickly take them out without being noticed. You will eventually come to a set of stairs that lead down to a large, Egyptian-styled casino (on your left will be "The Pharaoh's Club", and on your right will be the "Bar Lounge"). This room will be loaded with enemies, so take your time killing them all.

Once this area is clear enough for you to proceed, continue forward to the next set of stairs. At the bottom of these stairs, there will be more enemies, along with a bunch of slot machines. After you've cleared out all of the enemies in this section, begin shooting the screens of all 20 slot machines. After they're all destroyed, follow your teammates to the next room by sliding under the gate that Keegan is holding open for you. Immediately after this, look to your left to find Rorke File 14/18 sitting on a table in a rest area.

Mission 17: Loki

Objective: Assault the Station

This mission puts you back into space. Simply take your time killing the enemies here, then make your way towards the open hatch, which will trigger an explosion. Once you're back in control, head a bit forward and take out the two enemies in front of you. Once they're taken care of, quickly look to your left for a shiny, orange piece of debris. Floating just to the left of this piece of debris is Rorke File 17/18.

Once you've breached the control room, interact with the console, and you'll be in control of the rods.

Once you're in control of the rods, you'll be going for one of the more difficult achievements in the game. You'll be in control of the rods and can use cn_RT to fire up to 3 rods at a time at the ground enemies. Once you've fired a sequence of 3 rods, you can immediately fire more rods again. Your goal is to eliminate all of the enemies (excluding helicopters) with the rods, but without killing any of your allies. If you think you've accidentally killed an ally (you won't always get a message on your radio stating you've killed an ally), immediately restart your checkpoint. You should pause your game and look at the video below to see how it's done.

Objective: Eliminate the Incoming Federation Forces

Once you're in control of the rods, your screen will light up with a ton of enemies. Simply use as many rods (cn_RT) as you need to clear them all, as there aren't any allies around this part. After this, your allies will light up on your screen as well as the enemies, so you need to now carefully position your rod shots such that they kill all of the enemies without harming any of your allies. Remember to quickly reload your checkpoint if you do end up killing one of your allies. Check the video below if you'd like a visual guide to see how this is properly executed. Once you've destroyed all enemies with the rods, without killing any of your allies, you'll unlock:

They look like ants

Follow Hesh as you progress through the train, taking out enemies along the way.

Objective: Take Out the Enemy Helo's

Once you've progressed far enough in the train, enemy choppers will fly in for you to destroy. Simply stay in cover (don't proceed too far ahead) and shoot the gunners, then the pilots, to quickly destroy the choppers. Once they're destroyed, continue forward and be on the lookout for enemies that are rappeling in on the sides of the train. You need to shoot and kill 2 of these rappeling enemies before they reach the top of the train, although there are a total of 4 enemies rappeling in. If you aren't quick enough in killing 2 of the rappelling enemies before they reach the top, you can quickly reload your checkpoint and try again to successfully unlock:

Miscellaneous Achievement: Safeguard

There is one "multiplayer" achievement in the game, although you can complete it entirely solo and offline. However, it is strongly recommended you do this with other people, as some of the later waves can prove to be quite challenging in solo. Your goal is to reach wave 20 in "Safeguard", which is a survival-based game mode.

In safeguard, you and your teammates will start out with a pistol and face waves of increasingly difficult enemies to kill. As the rounds progress, the game will drop in weapons, perks, and killstreaks for you to collect. Furthermore, some waves you'll be given a field order to complete (i.e., get 10 headshots, 10 knife kills, etc.), which, when successfully completed, will provide you with more powerful weapons and killstreaks.

In the main menu, go to Squads > Safeguard (not Safeguard Extended) and choose if you want to play solo or cooperatively. Pick any map you want, then survive until wave 20. If you're struggling to reach round 20, here is a nice method by YouTube user "TheZombieProject" that shows you how to easily reach round 20 on the map "Warhawk":

Once the game ends after you've completed 20 waves, you'll unlock:

Welcome to the section for the Extinction mode achievements. Extinction should take you the longest to complete (in terms of achievements), clocking in at around 10 or so hours.

"Extinction is a completely new 4 player, co-op game mode featuring a unique blend of fast-paced survival gameplay, base defense, player customization and class leveling rounding out this robust new Call of Duty: Ghosts game mode. Teamwork and communication are essential when playing Extinction, as your team faces an inhuman menace that has overrun an isolated Colorado town and you must eliminate the threat via any means necessary."

The items that you pick from trash bag are upgrades for your weapons, ammo boxes, lethal- and tactical grenades. This is best done by yourself, so I suggest you are level 22, so that you can take a Sentry Gun with you.

If you do not feel comfortable doing this by yourself, get a friend or several friends to do this with whom you know will not take the drops.

You should get the achievement in the third area - the cabin area.

You have to detonate the Nuke at the end of Extinction Mode and reach the bottom of the Map before the timer runs out. I suggest having a good team. I did the achievement with a group of friends that I have done boosting for all of the Call of Duty games with. Some of you may not be that luxury, so why not make/create some: Gaming Sessions. If you do end up escaping with the four people, you will earn the following achievements:

When running back, drop down Feral Instincts or have some else do so. This will improve sprinting endurance.

When running back after arming the nuke, there will be an alien hive before each section blocking your way until you hold off enemies for 30 seconds or so. To keep enemies busy, use a sentry gun. I would recommend doing this with 4 players as it will be much easier. Note: Not all of your team has to be in the helicopter for this to unlock; you can just be in there.

4 guidesOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeDifficulty SpecificStackableLevel

To unlock this achievement, you must escape in the Extinction mode with a relic active. You can choose a relic once you prestige after completing level 30 for the first time. Special credit goes out to Tgamesmaster for letting me use his solution to make the guide bigger.

Below are the relics:
Take More Damage - Aliens do increased damaged with their attacks.
Pistols Only - Weapon purchases are not allowed.
Smaller Wallet - Earn and carry less cash.
Mortal - No class selection available.
Do Less Damage - Inflict less damage against the aliens.

Here are some tips:

1. It is best to escape with 3 or 4 players, but if you are feeling lucky enough, try doing so by yourself or with another person.
2. Use the 'Smaller Wallet' relic for this achievement.

Additional Information:
1. Once you reset levels, and get to Prestige 1 - Level 1; all items will still be unlocked.
2. You can get rid of an active relic in your loadout and choose another relic, or get rid of the relic.
3. Only the person with the relic active in their loadout will get the achievement.

No doubt, this is the hardest achievement in the game. Be extremely diligent in regards to the challenges. Also, have four people you know are good and who you trust.

This achievement is best done with 4 players so I've wrote this guide accordingly. Regardless, I've also listed the solo requirements if you feel you're up for it.

RECOMMENDED LOAD-OUTS: (Highly recommend level 22 for sentry turret and 25 for armor piercing ammo)

Player 1: Priority is Armor Piercing Ammo.
Class: Tank
Pistol Type: MP-443 Grach Pistol (Can change this to your preferred/best available)
Ammo Type: Armor Piercing Ammo (Can change this to your best available)
Team Support: Armor
Strike Package: Sentry Gun (If not then I.M.S.)
Equalizer: Riot Shield (Might help with the rhinos at the end)

Player 2: Priority is Team Booster.
Class: Tank
Pistol Type: MP-443 Grach Pistol (Can change this to your preferred/best available)
Ammo Type: Armor Piercing Ammo
Team Support: Team Booster
Strike Package: Sentry Gun (If not then I.M.S.)
Equalizer: Riot Shield (Might help with the rhinos at the end)

Player 3: Priority is Armor.
Class: Medic
Pistol Type: MP-443 Grach Pistol (Can change this to your preferred/best available)
Ammo Type: Armor Piercing Ammo
Team Support: Feral Instincts
Strike Package: Sentry Gun (If not then I.M.S.)
Equalizer: Minigun or Riot Shield (Might help with the barrier hives and rhinos at the end)

Player 4: Priority is Armor.
Class: Medic
Pistol Type: MP-443 Grach Pistol (Can change this to your preferred/best available)
Ammo Type: Armor Piercing Ammo
Team Support: Armor
Strike Package: Sentry Gun (If not then I.M.S.)
Equalizer: Minigun or Riot Shield (Might help with the barrier hives and rhinos at the end)

GENERAL SURVIVAL IDEA:

AREA 1 of 3 (MOTEL):
With the first four points (from the first two hives) fully upgrade your specific support type.

Player 1: Armor Piercing Ammo, then Pistols, then Feral Instincts
Player 2: Team Booster
Player 3: Feral Instincts
Player 4: Armor

Deploy the level 4 armor and ammo. Team booster won't be needed until the barrier hive. From here work on fully upgrading your sentry gun/I.M.S. On these next two barriers just finish their respective challenges and drop ammo/armor if needed. At this point you might want a primary weapon and personally the vector works pretty well for me.

Now you'll be at the first barrier hive. The trick to getting this done A.S.A.P. is to put down a turret/I.M.S. each facing away from the barrier hive to cover you. Then as soon as you see the hive's health bar appear, immediately put down team booster and lay into the inside of the largest spore (death machines especially will make this go fastest). Put down ammo/armor regularly with another team booster the second the 60 seconds of the first are up. This will make the barrier go a lot faster than if you waited for the chopper. With the barrier hive destroyed the enemy will stop re-spawning and you'll get 3,000 cash.

AREA 2 of 3 (CITY):
In this second area it is pretty much the same deal except all equipment will need to be put down more frequently. Keep the call-outs coming so that everyone knows what you need. You can start putting turrets down to cover the hives too at this point but be ready to turn them around if a challenge requires kills with X weapon. Once you turret/I.M.S. is fully upgraded start to work on tank/medic (only upgrade tank to 4/5 or you'll be slow at the end) as you'll need it for the next area then on whichever will best help you.

Once you get to the second barrier hive put down 2 turrets each and I.M.S.'s if you've got them. Don't worry about the points as you'll get them back in no time from the turrets. Just like the first barrier hive drop team booster/ammo/armor and lay into it. Just remember to kill the scorpions on the wall behind it before they spit on you.

AREA 3 of 3 (CABIN):
Last area! Every hive at this point will NEED the turrets/I.M.S.'s to cover the drill. Ammo/armor/team booster will need to continuously be put down. Especially armor (can't emphasize this enough)! This is pretty much the make or break for this achievement. If you get offered the sniper challenge or the trap one then things could get a little tricky but it might be worth still trying anyway. The accuracy one might also seem hard at this point but as long as you shoot the 1 bullet for 100% then let the turrets/I.M.S. do the work, you'll be fine. You should also keep dropping armor and knife them to help get things moving.

ONCE YOU GET THE OPTION TO ARM THE NUKE... WAIT! There is a little trick that will make a world of difference. Get your team to run back towards the alley leading from the city. Then with your back to it put down half of your equipment (turrets/I.M.S.'s) so that they'll cover you when you get there. Now with your other equipment do the same thing but at the first barrier in between the starting area and the city on the road. They won't be there yet but they'll spawn as you'll approach them on the way back from the nuke.

It is very important that you know that you CAN'T help the barrier along. No matter what each will take 20 seconds to disappear so just keep dropping equipment and focusing fire on the rhinos until then. Knowing this have everyone fully armored, at maximum ammo and next to the nuke ready. THEN drop team boost for everyone to pick up before quickly arming the nuke.

ESCAPE:
NOW arm the nuke and run to the first barrier. AS SOON AS you arrive drop all equipment, deploy riot shields if you have them (may need to melee to actually equip it on your back... you can see a shield icon by your health bar if it is in fact equipped) and lay into the rhinos. Have the medics revive anyone that goes down immediately. If you have a flare now would be a good time to drop it to draw attention away. Once the barrier is down run to the last and put down more turrets/I.M.S's if you can and again lay into the rhinos. From here it is a straight forward run to the end. Just remember that if so many go into the ring and the last person gets downed, you'll go without them and they'll miss out. So DON'T enter the ring until everyone is next to it ready.

CHALLENGES:

Now that we've covered the general idea to survive I'll go through each challenge and the most efficient way of doing them. The first is always one of two:

Use only melee attacks to damage aliens until the hive is destroyed.
Pretty straight forward, just stay close to the drill only using your knife to damage the aliens.

or...

Do not take any damage from aliens before the hive is destroyed.
Again easy enough. Stay back, stay together, stay focused.

Now the rest of the challenges aren't all too predictable but with some luck you'll get the easier ones. ALWAYS wait before you put the drill down just in case there is a challenge for not spending money/using ability for so long. This way you can have all the equipment already in play. Anyway, below you'll find a list of the other challenges.

Kill 25 aliens using pistols before the hive is destroyed. (15 solo)
Let me start off by saying that using special ammo with ANY of these weapon challenges will make them so much easier. This one specifically is insanely easy as it is your default weapon.

Find and kill the Leper in 30 seconds.
This is easy if you actually know what you're looking for. Basically it is just like the scout (normal alien) except it is slightly larger and has a red glow opposed to yellow/orange. One thing about it though is that it will sometimes be outside the playable zone in the first two areas. In the first I have seen him on the mound to the left of the barrier hive and in the second on a roof near the second barrier hive. However, this is not always the case - half the time he will be in the map. A REALLY helpful tip for this one is to have someone with feral instincts as they'll get a new vision which will highlight all the enemies in orange and more importantly the leper red! Making this A LOT easier.

Kill 25 aliens using shotguns before the hive is destroyed. (15 solo)
Use armor piercing ammo and have at least 2 players actively work on this. All equipment should be turned away/moved/not placed. The others shouldn't be killing at all. In the motel area there is a FP6 shotgun leaning against the lower floor of the motel under the stairs, next to a hive spawn. In the city area there is a bulldog against the electric wall on the far right coming from spawn. The cabin area has another bulldog on the wooden decking above the chopper contribution laptop room and a MTS-255 in the crater to your immediate right ahead.

Kill 25 aliens using SMGs before the hive is destroyed. (15 solo)
Same idea as shotgun. In the motel area there is a vector-CRB against the arch sitting on the right of the road and a vepr up the road against the building next to the motel sign. The city area has a CBJ-MS lying on the sidewalk by the electric wall.

Kill 25 aliens using assault rifles before the hive is destroyed. (15 solo)
Same idea as shotgun. The motel area has a AK-12 next to the second hive. The city has a SA-805 lying against the wall of the building on the right as you enter. The cabin area has a honey badger at the bottom of the barn and a MTAR-X at the top of the ladder from the crater.

Kill 25 aliens using LMGs before the hive is destroyed. (15 solo)
Same idea as shotgun. In the motel area there is a MR-28 in the grass to the right through the arch. In the city area there is a M27-IAR on top a wooden platform to the left as you first enter. In the cabin area there is a chain SAW at the top floor of the barn.

Kill 25 aliens using sniper rifles before the hive is destroyed. (15 solo)
Same idea as shotgun. There is a VKS in the motel area at the start on a mound of dirt to the right after the very first hive. In the cabin area there is a L115 around on the raised decking of the building straight ahead at the top of the road and another VKS under the decking (with the bulldog sitting on it) of the house to the left at the top of the road.

Spend $X before the hive is destroyed.
You'll get this just putting out equipment and turrets/I.M.S.'s as you go.

Kill 5 aliens while they are in the air before the hive is destroyed.
This one is quite tricky and will require some timing and guessing. Try to lead one or two crawlers along keeping your distance and timing your shots every time they jump (when they do). You may well find that this is easier to do with the scorpions if you get given the challenge far enough in as all they do is jump to get around.

Kill 10 aliens with turrets before the hive is destroyed. (5 solo)
If you have someone with a sentry turret this will be done in no time especially if you have a flare. Just stick it down in front of the turret and watch it do work.

Kill a scorpion with a melee before the hive is destroyed.
Like most challenges, divert your turret's attentions and move I.M.S.'s out of the way. Then get everyone to keep an eye out and knife it. Don't forget armor whilst you wait.

Protect a random player from entering last stand.
As long as the armor and ammo keeps coming, the turrets and I.M.S.'s are going, you'll all be fine. Any point after the first barrier hive put down team booster as much as possible too.

Do not bleed out before the hive is destroyed.
Same as protect X.

Do not go into last stand before the hive is destroyed.
Same as protect X.

Do not let the drill go below 50 health before the hive is destroyed.
There is no way to go wrong with this as you'll be able to repair it if it even manages to hit 75. Which it shouldn't with all the turrets and I.M.S's.

Keep shot accuracy at 75% or above before the hive is destroyed.
The trick to this is to hit 1 bullet then knife the rest of the enemies or if you're far enough in just get your turrets/I.M.S.'s to kill the aliens. Be sure to deploy plenty armor during this.

Keep shot accuracy at 50% or above before the hive is destroyed.
Exactly the same as the previous.

Kill 10 aliens with traps before the hive is destroyed. (5 solo)
If you're in the first area, use the electric fences. The second area, the fire trap or the electricity wall. With the third area having the electric fence or electricity running into the water. If you get this challenge in the third area it is going to be really difficult unless you're in the barn as you're equipment will most likely take all the kills. However if you are, turn your turrets away and drop a flare by a trap or run circles by it. Shouldn't be too troublesome.

Do not take any damage from exploding seeker aliens until the hive is destroyed.
Have your turrets and I.M.S.'s in place with you behind them then just focus your attention towards the meteors which start to appear after the half-way point. Each one spawns about 4 seekers - they are the little red tickers.

Don't reload for 60 seconds.
Just remember one thing whilst waiting out the time. Picking up ammo WILL reload your weapon if it has a full mag or not. However, if you quickly switch weapon you'll be fine. In the meantime put down equipment, armor and just use your knife.

Don't use any abilities for 90 seconds.
Don't touch your D-PAD. It's as simple as that. You can still pay to use an already placed turret. Other than that just use your knife to keep the aliens off the drill.

Don't spend any money for 2 minutes.
Same idea as don't use any abilities except you can't pay to use turrets either. So again just use your knife.

Kill 10 aliens with propane tanks before the hive is destroyed. (5 solo)
For this challenge I like to get a propane tank and place it in a fairly open area and run circles around it until there's a reasonable amount of enemies nearby. You can get around 3-5 aliens each time doing this. If you have a flare you could also place that next to the tank to make it even easier. There are plenty of tanks to go through in both areas so no worries if you're only getting a couple each time.

This is completely luck based --as far as which challenges you get-- so just restart if you fail a challenge and just keep trying. Eventually they'll give you the right challenges at the right times.

There are two types of intel: classified intel, and encrypted intel.

Classified intel can be picked up by searching random supply boxes.

Encrypted intel are permanent intel, and the following are their locations:

1. Area 2 - Upon entering area 2, use the stairs to the right side. Follow the balcony to find the laptop on the ground.

2. Area 2 - Upon entering area 2, head to the left to find a container with a fire trap next to it. Now with your pistol, get a running start, going towards the left side of the container, and jump onto the platform. You will find the laptop on the roof near the fencing.

3. Area 3 - Upon entering the Facility, there is a small booth on the left side, with some crates next to it. use the crates to get on top of the booth, and find the laptop here.

4.Area 3 - Upon entering the Facility, use the large ladder to get to the 3rd story on the outside of the area. Follow the scaffolding around the perimeter and jump over the broken section to find the laptop on the ground.

5. Final Area - During the final boss battle, if you run all the way across the area from where you enter, you will see a small toll booth. On the ground inside this toll booth, you will find this laptop.

This is the third-most difficult achievement on the DLC. This is difficult because you have to go into multiplayer and shoot the hives on the four maps.

The most efficient, and currently, the only way to do this is to go to the 'Onslaught' playlist. Once you shoot a hive, a counter on the top left of the screen will show how many hives you have shot.

Here are the locations for each map, followed by a video:

Ignition - This hive is located in the underground section of the map. If you do not spawn as the Federation originally, go to the disfigured plane shell and go down the ramp. On the other hand, if you DO spawn as the Federation, you will see a bunker-type entrance as soon as you spawn. Go down the entrance to the bunker, and look on your right. You will see the hive on the right side. 1/4 complete!

Bay View - This is the most difficult hive to locate. The hive is located on the underside of the pier just outside the map. Go to the right corner of the map (by the lighthouse-type thing, you should be standing on three diagonal lines) and look across the way. Note: you will need at least an assault rifle to shoot the said hive. 2/4 complete!

Fog - For this one, you will need to look on the minimap. Go to the middle of the minimap. You should see light blue on the mini map. Go there, and go inside the cave. Find the light blue part (which should be a waterfall) and look to the left side of the said waterfall to find the hive. 3/4 complete!

Containment - This one is just outside the map. Go to the northernmost part of the map, off to the right on top of the white building that has barred windows, you should see something that resembles a hive. Climb on top of the green dumpster for a better shot, and fire! 4/4 complete!

To get the achievement, load up a game of Xbox Live Point of Contact or Nightfall and destroy a hive to gain the achievement.

2 guidesOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeDifficulty Specific

For this achievement, you have to kill a Rhino with only a pistol. You CANNOT shoot the rhino even once with anything other than a pistol, the achievement will be null and void.

The easiest place to get this achievement is directly after clearing all the hives in Area 2. After clearing every hive from the second part, a rhino should spawn and start attacking you. At first, have your teamates fire with ONLY their pistols, and after around 10 seconds, have them stop firing, and only fire by yourself.

For the following achievement, turn on a relic and escape to earn the following achievements. Note: I recommend to use the 'less damage' relic ONLY:

You can choose to do the aforementioned achievement with a relic on, but it is not reccomended.

Here are some tips:

1. Make sure each team member has at least 4 shots left on their Venom-X weapon. With the Venom-X weapon, when the breeder is down, fire on it. It will take 2-4 shots to bring the breeder down. Note: do not fire when the breeder is down on the ground, it will not work.

2. Time yourself. Every team member should run out of the final room at the same time, and run like the wind. It will take nearly 5 minutes to kill the breeder.

3. Use explosive ammo. With an LMG, and the breeder is on the ground, unload on it -- making sure someone has fully maxed-out team boosters.

4. Speed it up! Work as fast as you can, especially in the middle part, when the three rhino's spawn. You will need to fire constantly and accurately in order to earn the achievement in five minutes.

Nightfall Completionist

Complete all challenges and kill the Breeder in Nightfall.

Nightfall Completionist
2 guidesOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeDifficulty SpecificStackable

Complete all challenges. If you fail one, restart. Rinse and repeat until you have completed all challenges without failing one. To achieve this goal you have to complete all the 14 challenges posed during the game and defeat the final boss, the breeder. First of all, you'll need four skilled and sensible players with a mic. Any loadout is fine, choose the one which you feel more comfortable with, but avoid using relics to make everything easier.

This is my favorite loadout (not the best):
Class: Weapon Specialist;
Pistol: MP-443 Grach;
Ammo type: Explosive Ammo;
Team support: Armour or random supplies;
Strike: IMS or Sentry Gun;
Equalizer: Portable minigun turret.

Before dropping the drill, start searching every area for useful items like trophy systems or flares. When dropping the drill make sure that all the players are close and ready for the challenge. When everybody's ready start the drill. Then, here are some suggestions to complete challenges:

EASY CHALLENGES

Kill X scout aliens with melee attacks
Just self explanatory. Push the right thumbstick down to kill enemies with your knife.
During the entire first area you can save ammo and money by using only melee attacks against all the scout aliens.

Kill a scorpion with melee attacks
Scorpions are like snipers, they shoot from high positions. Toss a flare when a few spawn in order to attract them and don't shoot until the challenge is accomplished.

Kill X enemies with pistols
Again, self explanatory and easy to do: unsheathe, aim and shoot. .44 Magnum and MP-443 are the best choice. Equip some explosive ammo and watch out for explosive objects that could void the kill.

Keep aiming accuracy above X%
Designate one of your teammate as the shooter. The chosen one will have to shoot one single bullet against a creature, hitting it. Precision indicator will automatically increase to 100%. Use a flare to simplify the whole thing, or wait that a creature attacks the drill in order to have a clear and steady target.

Now only use melee attacks to kill the remaining aliens.
If a scorpion or a phantom appears, you have to keep calm, use some tactic and kill them with your knife or some traps, sentries, IMS, explosives, SOFLAM, etc. (throwing a flare can be useful in these circumstances).

Don't reload your weapon for X seconds
"You will not laugh! You will not cry! You will not press the X button!" Also, you will not change weapon, pick up items or dispense any ammo. And do not shoot if your weapon have a small magazine with high rate of fire.

Don't use abilities for X seconds
Don't drop any ammo, don't use team support, strike or equalizer abilities.

Kill X enemies at middle air
Activate all the traps in the nearby and this challenge will be an easy win. Alternatively reach a high platform, equip a powerful weapon, wait for a lucky jumping alien and destroy it at middle air (or vice versa).

Kill X enemies when your health bar is full
This challenge is equivocal and pretty easy indeed. Health is auto-regenerative, so even if you get hit by an enemy the challenge isn't void, wait until the health is restored and shoot as many aliens as possible. Only the aliens killed while the health bar is at its maximum will count. Using armour is convenient, those will get damaged first instead of your health bar.

Don't enter in survival state before the drill has finished
Protect yourself and the entire team. Armour will be useful.

Protect a random player
The team will have to prevent that a random player enters the survival state. Drop some armour and use Venom-X (if available) against your teammate if surrounded by enemies.

Defeat the breeder in X seconds
This is the best and fastest method that I've found.

Works nicely without maxing out the turret, just use two or three of them. Your teammates have to stay over the platform, behind the tower and watch your back, or help with fire suppression over the breeder from the right side of the tower. Don't go around and make sure that the breeder look towards the tower in order to be an easy target for the turret. Trophies can be useful against the red mist by putting a couple of them next to the turret so as to protect you.

Destroy X alien eggs before defeating the breeder
The breeder has three types of long ranged attacks, one of them is laying (read: launching) three eggs at a time. Your teammates will call the launch of the eggs, screaming "destroy the eggs!". Follow the path of the eggs and once landed immediately shoot them before they can hatch, releasing the hunters. Eggs are launched at random occasions in pairs of two or three.
Spawn locations of these are the following: left from the yellow truck in front of the breeder, in front of the bunker where you can purchase the LSAT and on the right hand side of the breeder in front of a dark vehicle.

Spend X amount of money
"This is a poor excuse to pick a man's pockets", someone would say. Don't be greedy, always share ammo and armour. Place turrets and activate traps. Kill as many enemies as possible to ensure a constant flow of money to be spent immediately. This challenge can be tough if tackled during the first half of area 2, the drill is faster and there are fewer enemies from which to obtain money. A teammate with fully upgraded engineer class will be your best friend. He will earn cash from traps, to hold in a larger wallet (max $ 8.000). If you spent almost all of your money and if you are in area 3, prepare to struggle at the next hive.

Kill X aliens with turrets
Any kind of turret will be fine. If you use a basic sentry and combine it with flare, it will be useful to group your targets. Don't steal kills at the turrets, but defend them from the Cryptids’ attacks.

Kill X enemies at a certain distance
Aim away and shoot the highlighted enemies in a white outline. When enemies are too close, the outline will disappear and the killing will not be valid for the challenge. In this case, just back away. The best weapons for the challenge are the ones with a wide operational range and good damage, like the LSAT, any assault rifle or even a maxed out portable minigun turret.

Kill X enemies in Y seconds
Be fast and brutal, the amount of seconds usually is: 30 seconds! A bunch of LMG’s combined with some explosive ammo: that is the recipe for victory. Be careful, sometimes enemies will not appear until you'll go looking for them.

Kill X seekers before they self-destruct
Look for spots where meteors will land (electricity above ground level) and once that has happened unload your gun at their base, where the seekers comes out. Don't let them get too close, just shoot from a distance. Activating traps might be a great help as well, but beware that some seekers mount buildings to flank you and your team.

Don't spend money for 2 minutes
Two minutes can be a lot of time if this challenge pops up during the third area. Otherwise it's a relatively simple challenge: don't use any abilities, do not activate traps and do not buy any weapon until the two minutes have passed.

Kill X aliens with Y weapon
At least two people on your team should use skill-points on the pistol unlocking the ability to bring a third weapon. This way you'll always have your favourite gun on your side while the other one can be something different in terms of category. When arriving in a new area, take a tour and mind the location of each weapon, in order to remember the location when prompted by a challenge. If you haven't equipped the right weapon for the challenge, don't steal kills to your fellow teammates, but simply protect yourself and the drill, and deploy some explosive rounds (recent purchased weapons need ammo).

HARD CHALLENGES

Kill X aliens with Sniper Rifles
This challenge often takes place during the last hive of the third area (the last hive). The best thing is already having the sniper rifle. At the end of area 2, go back to buy the VKS as a third weapon. At least two players should do that, preferably the weapon specialists. If this challenge occurs during the last hive, players armed with sniper rifles should stay on the walkway that runs along the walls in order to attract the aliens and get them on the same line of fire. Flares at this moment are priceless! Two players, two sentries and one IMS should defend the drill from close. Good luck.

Don't get damage by the seekers
If you have good visual over the field, without any obstacle, immediately spot where meteors will land and once it did, unload your gun at their base. Traps like electric fence are a good ally, except for gasoline traps, they can block the view preventing the sighting of the seekers. If you have some flares, throw them one at a time. Seekers observing them, will become easy targets.

Kill X enemies without get any damage
Stay together, try to have a good view of the field, activate some traps, use sentries to watch your back and destroy enemies at a distance. Assault Rifles and LMG’s work wonderfully, as well as portable minigun turrets. Throwing a flare at a certain distance is convenient. Watch out for seekers, scorpions and hunters. Trophy systems can protect you from the Scorpion's acid attack (four times), while if a Rhino appears a teammate with riot shield should keep him busy while the others will shoot him (fully upgraded portable minigun turrets works like a charm against Rhinos).

Found and kill the leper within X seconds
The leper is a coward. If you spot a hunter that runs away from the firefight, this is the leper! The leper's face also isn't so bright but almost gray. When you start a drill at a random hive when this challenge pops up, be sure you have no turrets on the battle ground. That way, the leper will come your way making this challenge easy. Do not use Feral Instincts since this will prevent the leper from coming towards you and/or your team, just keep killing the enemies as you normally would.

Kill X aliens retrieving damage from all the squad members
This can be tough if you and your teammates don't collaborate. Stay together, facing the same direction. Shoot a single bullet at every enemy that is approaching; these aliens will be marked (outlined in white) for your teammates. Now another player must hit the highlighted alien once, marking it for the next player that will do the same for the last player and so on until the alien is dead. This challenge will be easier during the second half of the game, when enemies will become stronger, withstanding more hits.

Kill X amount of Cryptids from the designated area
A circle with white edges and rotating lights will appear. Stay inside of this circle and kill the requested number of enemies. Use armour, heavy weapon and be fast because the entire squad will be an easy target during this challenge. If you're outdoors, watch out for meteors: yes, they can actually land inside the circle, destroy the entire squad and destroy the mission in a single strike (this happened to me LOL). Also watch out for the Scorpion's venom: spot these creatures and destroy them before they will be able to deliver venom attacks. Use a trophy system as a defense. If you have the Venom-X you can detonate some gas bullets inside the circle in order to protect the squad.

Kill the highlighted aliens first
Be careful, the highlighted aliens will come together with the other ones. Shoot wisely and with some accuracy. Get some damage from other aliens rather than failing the challenge. Sometimes not highlighted seekers comes early; when they explode it counts as a kill and the challenge is void. Tossing a flare can be useful, then carefully shoot and cross your fingers. Lottery basically.

Kill X enemies by prone
This is an easy challenge until the third area, when it can become tough (especially during the last hive). Using the Venom-X by prone will help. Keep the team together, wait for enemies to surround you, take turn and shoot at short distance using the Venom-X. Armour will be useful too.

Everytime I play I take note of each challenge, trying to find a scheme useful to predict the next challenge. I invite you to do the same, then we shall match our data and find a pattern, if there is one.

Hey guys,

Since my good friend AFalcon90 will not be buying this DLC pack, I’ll write this one real quick. My name is MC0REBE and you may already be familiar with any of my published guides, so I’ll do my best to guide you through this DLC as best as I can.

Mayday is the second chapter in the Extinction game-mode and allows us to meet a new enemy: The Seeder (don't confuse this one with the red Seeker). This new enemy can be compared with the Scorpion from the two previous maps, but this one rarely shoots out any vomit/poison that hurts you. Instead, they release spores that shoot out needles that can do heavy damage. Scorpions are not included here, so that’s a good thing. A new element in this game is crafting which allows you to build tactical or lethal grenades, but also the Venom X weapon in four different versions and some other useful tools. Of course, more information can be found below; all credit for the included videos goes to Maka91Productions.

Let’s get on with the achievements:

Egg-stra Devastation!

Complete the Egg-Stra XP challenge and then destroy a hive in the Devastation DLC package.

Just like in Nightfall, there are 4 hidden hives in the new multiplayer maps. The location of these can be found in the following summary:

- Ruins: Found under a roof near the Federation spawn location, just outside the map.
- Behemoth: Near the Federation spawn location, go to the left hand side of the railing and look across the map towards the spawn point to see it.
- Unearthed (Dome remake): Near the Ghosts spawn location, look for the building with the rock in the middle going into the building. Look around the rock to see a small gap in which you can see the hive through.
- Collision: Near the Ghosts spawn location, make your way to the right hand side of the map to spot this hive underneath a bridge in the distance.

All hives can be shot with any weapon, although an Assault Rifle with any sight (Reflex, ACOG, …) to make sure you can see the hive clearly. Upon shooting all 4 hives, destroy the first hive in Mayday to unlock the achievement. If you rather have a visual, take a look at the video below:

The two aforementioned achievements can be unlocked while progressing naturally through the area. ‘The Belly of The Beast’ will be unlocked right after you destroyed the hive while facing the Kraken tentacle and ‘Come Up for Air’ will be unlocked after you get to the topside of the ship after pressing a button in the sealed control room.

The new enemy, the Seeder, will start throwing his venom around which will cause turrets to spawn all over the map on random places. While playing Mayday, you should make it your priority to either take out the Cryptids first or, if any turrets have spawned, to destroy these turrets. Going from the first hive until the Kraken will give you plenty of chances to do so. It’s unclear whether or not this has to be in one game, but personally, I unlocked this in my second game when I started from zero Seeder Turrets destroyed. An image can be found below:

Inquisitive Mind

Find all of the Intel in Mayday.

Inquisitive Mind
3 guidesOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeCollectable

Just like in the Devastation map, there’s intel to find (and for you enthusiasts to enjoy as well). There are 4 pieces of intel to find in lootable boxes, which can be grinded in the first area while playing solo. There are 5 tablets of intel to find as well, which can be found on the following places:

- In the first area, unlock the door with the drill up top. Enter the room and destroy the window. Follow the pipe around the corner to see this in front of you.
- Just before the second area, after you’ve encountered the Kraken’s tentacle and after breaching the door in the corridor behind the hive, instead of walking to the bay area to you right, go straight onto a destroyed catwalk to find this on the right hand side in a corner.
- In the second area, where a hive could be on top of some containers, look for a container that allows you to cross towards the upper catwalk. Jump over diagonally to an explosive barrel (and it can kill you, found out the hard way). Climb up another small container from that barrel, turn around and jump over to see it lying on a container of the same size.
- In the fourth area, when you get to the labs, there is a pillar next to a door you can breach. Go behind it to find it on the floor.
- In the area where you fight the Kraken, go all the way to the back of the area from where you dropped in to find this in a corner on the right hand side.

There are 10 craftable items on this map. To craft an item, you first need to pick up a schematic and then loot the red toolboxes. Once you’ve found all 3 parts, press the Back-button and then press X to acquire the new item(s). The 10 different items are described below:

- Pipe Bombs, schematic can be found in the first area in a room on the right hand side after scaling a stair set. These act like Canister Bombs and are very powerful. With each schematic, you craft 5. This schematic can also be found on the Deck, in the third area on the left hand side near the entrance of the Labs.

- Sticky Flares, schematic can be found in the same room as the Pipe Bombs. Acts like normal flares but explode when their timer expires. Don’t get to close. With each schematic you craft 2. No other flares can be carried once you have these 2.

- Hypno Trap, schematic can be found on the opposite side of the bay area entrance. This acts like the Hypno Knife in the previous two maps but the only difference here is that you need to lead the Cryptid you want as a friendly through the platform.

- Tesla Trap, schematic can be found on the same desk as the Hypno Trap. This acts like an electric trap and comes in very handy during an entire session. There are 3 different ones to craft, and the difference can be found in the batteries:
* Basic Tesla: Cell Battery
* Medium Tesla: Liquid Battery
* Advanced: Nucleic Battery

- Venom X, the schematic can be found inside the room on the left hand side after entering the bay area and after breaching the according door. These will craft an entire weapon but they do not fill up a weapon slot once obtained. There are 4 different types to craft, and the difference can be found in the Biolum component:
* Biolum: creates the regular green Venom X which does damage over time with venom
* Blue Biolum: creates an electric type of Venom X which can create a safe area for a few seconds
* Red Biolum: creates a fire type of Venom X which spreads fire, does damage over time and which can create a safe are for a few seconds
* Amethyst Biolum: creates a Seeder type of Venom X which spawns friendly Seeder Turrets wherever the bullets explode. This is the least powerful out of the four in my opinion and not recommended when going to the Kraken.
This schematic can also be found on the Deck, in the third area on the left hand side near the entrance of the Labs.

With the Hypno Trap, you will be able to make a Rhino your ally. Chances are that when you are playing either solo or in co-op, that a Rhino will spawn while you are breaching a door. Quickly craft the item and lead him through it. Fairly easy achievement, although luck might play a role in this as well if you are attempting this while clearing a hive.

Upping the Ante

Kill the Kraken using a Relic in Mayday in Regular or Hardcore difficulty.

Upping the Ante
1 guideOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeDifficulty SpecificStackableLevel

The Kraken is fairly easy while using the right classes and strategy. I would recommend you pick the Weapon Specialist class, as well as the Do Less Damage relic. The reason for this is when you max out the Weapon Specialist tree; you do 50% more damage as well as faster reloading (which allows you to pick something else instead of the Team Booster (Armor or Feral Instincts always come in handy). If you are playing this in co-op, another strategy isn’t needed either since every player in your team can be a Weapon Specialist (although a Medic or an Engineer can be a big help as well). Another good combination might be the Smaller Waller relic while playing as an Engineer since you will be able to carry $6,000 after maxing out that particular class.

Clear all hives like usual and when you get to the Kraken, make sure that there is one person with either the LSAT or the Chainsaw (Muzzle Break and Grip attachments do help, but are completely optional). Another person should have full ammo in either the Electric or Fire Venom-X and the two others need to have a fairly good weapon. The Honey Badger is a very good weapon with a good clipsize and a very good rate of fire. All four of you should be on the hive in the middle of the deck while the player with the LMG empties his gun at the Kraken. The person with the Venom-X should only keep the hive area clear of Cryptics spawning all over the place and the two other persons should cover the outside area, while taking out the Seeders (and their Turrets) as a priority. Venom-X ammo should only be picked up from the person who’s covering the red area while the person with the LMG shouldn’t do any drops since he is not making a lot of money while shooting the Kraken. Doing it using this method will take less than 10 minutes and will cause you the least amount of troubles. Remember to set up Sentry Guns or to call in Vultures to keep you and your team safe and this should be a walk in the park.

My load out (and the recommended one) was the following:

Class: Weapon Specialist
Pistol: MP-433 Grach
Ammo: Armor Piercing Rounds (combine this with a Bulldog and Rhino’s go down in less than a clip)
Team Support: Armor
Strike: Vulture
Equalizer: Riot Shield

The other three members of my team were using the same load out except that some preferred to use the Sentry Gun or the Feral Instincts. Play with whatever you feel most comfortable with though, but if you feel yourself struggling, don’t hesitate to experiment a little bit.

Here we go again! There are 14 hives in Mayday, which will allow you to complete 14 additional challenges. These aren’t much different than the ones you’ve already had in the previous map, with one addition and one glitchy one. More information can be found below (with special thanks to AFalcon90!):

Defeat the tentacle before the hive is destroyed
Honestly, this is a joke. Have one person go on the turret on the right hand side while facing the tentacle and cover him from spawning in Cryptids while he is shredding it. Might take two clips, but is relatively easy to finish and hard to not complete.

Spend X amount of money
"This is a poor excuse to pick a man's pockets", someone would say. Don't be greedy, always share ammo and armor. Place turrets and activate traps. Note: this is the glitchy one! This was my last challenge while I was going for this achievement and our team only had one Seeker spawning in.

Don't spend money for 2 minutes

This challenge will be easier during the second half of the game, when enemies will become stronger, withstanding more hits.

Kill X amount of Cryptids from the designated area
A circle with white edges and rotating lights will appear. Stay inside of this circle and kill the requested number of enemies. Use armor, heavy weapon and be fast because the entire squad will be an easy target during this challenge.

This is an easy challenge until the third area, when it can become tough Using the Venom-X by prone will help. Keep the team together, wait for enemies to surround you, take turn and shoot at short distance using the Venom-X. Armor will be useful too.

That’s it for this map, if you have any questions; please feel free to spam my inbox! Have fun and good luck slaying the Cryptids!

"Invasion" is the third DLC in the horrid game called Call of Duty: Ghosts. "Invasion" was released on June 3rd, 2014 for a price of $14.99 (USD) and includes four multiplayer maps: Pharaoh, Departed, Mutiny, and the remade Favela, but no additional weapon. Additionally, there is a new Extinction map, Awakening, which takes place in the alien underworld, and more specifically, the aliens catacombs - called Ball's Pyramid.

Now onto the good stuff...

Egg-stra Awakening!

Complete the Egg-Stra XP challenge and then scan an obelisk in the Invasion DLC package.

Egg-stra Awakening!
4 guidesOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeVersusCollectable

Before you go into the Extinction map, I would recommend you go into a ranked (ranked match is the key, you cannot obtain the achievement in a private match, you can only find the egg) multiplayer match to find the hives in them and set up the "Eggstra awakening" achievement. You can go into each multiplayer map in any order, but I digress:

  • Mutiny: To obtain this egg, go to the pirate ship in the middle of the map. From there, go to the ships deck and prone and look down near the cargo bay (a wooden grate is over it). You should see the egg, again, in the cargo bay.
  • Pharoah: This one is very tricky to see, let alone find; in the northeast tomb room, look out beyond the rubble and a little to the right, the Egg is slightly obstructed from the smoke coming from the many fires coming from inside of the room. I found it best to use a thermal scoped sniper rifle when going for this, as the hive emits heat. Additionally, if all else fails, be sure to carry a grenade and hope that the grenade will destroy the hive.
  • Favela: To obtain this hive, go to the barbershop, go to the top of the set of stairs that are looking straight to the outside of the map, and look straight out and slightly to the left to find the hive!
  • Departed: Near the Ghosts spawn and on a concrete block of a different assortment of vases (with and without flowers ) there is a red vase with white zig-zagged stripes. Behind it is a breachable piece of wall (there will be an option to blow the vase and wall up with X). Breach the wall, and a hole will appear. Shoot inside of the whole, and you can

Then, load up Awakening, scan an obelisk, and the achievement is yours.

In order to get this achievement, you must escape Awakening four different times, one time as an engineer, once as a tank, once as a weapons specialist, and the last as a medic. As is true in life, practice and perservence is key, so keep at it!

Additionally, before starting the game, make sure two relics are equipped for the following achievement:

I recommend being a weapons specialist and using the following relics:

1. Do less damage. The weapons specialist class basically neutralizes the effect of the relic.

2. Stand your ground. Another easy one, except for the fact that you cannot reload while sprinting, only while standing or walking.

*************MUST ALL BE DONE IN ONE PLAYTHROUGH**************

First, play a solo match on regular difficulty.

At the start, run around and open regular boxes and hope you get a locker key. This isn't 100% necessary but makes it much easier at the beginning.

Now for reference sake, there are 3 weapon schematic spawns. The will NOT always have schematics, but these are the 3 locations they can be at.

Number One is to your immediate left as you exit the tunnel at the start if you hug the zone wall. Facing out from that one, #2 is straight across the ravine as you round the first bend in the trail when LEAVING #1. Number three is pretty far from the exit tunnel, but if you exit the tunnel and turn to your right instead of left and hug the zone wall, you will run into it.

Spawns 2 and 3 ALWAYS spawn a Mammoth.

Once you've opened boxes and got a key, or some incendiary or explosive ammo or what not, head back to the cave exit you first come out of and head to Schematic Spawn #1. Either scorpions or a Rhino will spawn here every time. Kill the Rhino (or scorpions) and look for the Ark attachment, or a Venom X weapon schematic, or both if you're lucky.

If you get ah Ark attachment you can ignore spawns 2 and 3 entirely. You can either restart if you don't get the Ark attachment here if you have a hard time fighting Mammoths, or if you get the Venom schematic (or are really good) and want to you can continue on. If you choose to, build your Venom or kill an obelisk or two for some funds for a good weapon, then head to spawn 2 and use it to kill the Mammoth and check for the Ark. If it isn't there head to spawn 3. It will always be in one of the 3 spawns.

Once you have the ark, if you only killed Spawn 1 you may not have enough $$ for a weapon. Whenever you have enough cash, start buying the weapons, starting with the cheaper ones and working your way up. I do advise doing the VKS first to get it out of the way since it's a sniper and they're kinda a PITA if it gets hectic with lots of enemies.

You can get all the weapons in the first area save for the USR and Bulldog. I'm putting them in the order I suggest for utility and ease of use, and the expensive ones last since you can get infinite $$ during the final phase of area 1.

1. VKS - From the entrance tunnel, take an immediate right and jump up onto the small ledge. Follow up the cliffside. You will pass the TAC 12 auto shotgun and see an Obelisk above you. Past the Obelisk is a ledge with a 'mushroom' below it. The VKS is in the small ledge area in front of this before the next zone-wall Obelisk and can be jumped up to from the ground or from this mushroom.

2. TAC 12 - See above. Just head back along the zone wall and grab it.

3. Ripper - Facing the Exit from the first area, look to your right up against the wall and you'll see it pretty near to the exit door.

4. K7 - Facing the Exit from the first area, look to your left and you will see a small ledge. Jump up onto this ledge and you'll find the K7 semi-hidden in the weeds.

5. IA2 - Standing at the exit of the tunnel at the beginning and looking straight out, you will see a ramp like rock structure that ends in a ledge. To the right of this you will see two of the big mushroom tree looking things. Not the ones growing out of cliffs, but the free-standing ones. They are at about the one-oclock and two-oclock positions when facing straight out from the exit. The IA2 is below the left one (one oclock one), the one that has an Obelisk to the left of it from this perspective.

6. Remington - Coming from schematic spawn area #2, hug the zone wall on your left to the end of the ledge as you come back out into the open area and you'll find the Chainsaw on the wall to your left. Drop down straight ahead of the SAW into an orange-tinted cave. It's in here against the wall.

7. MK14 EBR - Go to the ripper and face the wall where it is located. Now turn 180 degrees and look to your left. You will see a tall stone pillar that connects to the cliff above (there's one to your right too). The MK14 is behind this left-hand pillar down over the ledge on a lower ledge.

8. Chainsaw - see the Remington above. It's on the small ledge above the Remington's cave between it and schematic spawn point 2.

9. Ameli - Face the zone exit up against it, then turn around 180 degrees. Head down the slope until it levels off and you see a small raised piece of rock roughly diamond shaped in front of you. Now look slightly to your right up against the wall at your 1-oclock and you'll see it at the start of the 'ravine' like area in the middle of this first portion.

10. Maverick - Saved the best for last, but you can do this one earlier as it's one of the cheaper ones. Just head back to the entrance tunnel at the very beginning. It's on the right just before you exit the tunnel, hard to miss.

AREA 2 --

11. USR - It is up against the wall right opposite the predator control laptop.

12. Bulldog - When you exit the tunnel coming into area 2, turn 90 degrees to your right and head up the nearest Obelisk on the higher ground (this is the same direction you'd head to go to the predator laptop/USR). A little further ahead on a ledge overlooking this Obelisk is the Bulldog.

A couple of tips:

If there's a gargoyle out, just ignore it and hide under a ledge/mushroom/etc near the Obelisk and deal with the smaller enemies. The gargoyles, when they're high up, will likely waste your ammo and maybe even kill you or get you killed by smaller enemies. Eventually they'll come down and walk near you allowing for an easier kill. Or deal with them after an Obelisk is done and the other enemies are dead.

Also if you have a Venom weapon use it liberally if you get into trouble. You'll get plenty of ammo for it and worst case scenario you can farm ALL the kills in area 1 with ALL the weapons except the USR and Bulldog during the final part with the predator as the enemies spawn infinitely.

Lastly if you do happen to go to more than one schematic spawn area, look for sticky flares even if you don't get a Venom schematic. They can save your bacon, and if you're down to the last weapon or two at the end of area 1 or the USR/Bulldog in area 2, it would suck to fail.

To obtain this achievement, you must successfully obtain every intel item in Call of Duty Ghosts. Like the previous two maps, some are obtained via the searchable boxes, and others are obtained via finding the various laptops around the map. Note: epilogue intel item is not required to obtain this achievement.

1. Fugitive - Area 1 - There is a small cave-like room accessible on the mountain face that is located on the right of the entrance. Use the mushrooms or platforms to access the area. The laptop should be in the cave.
2. Defector - Area 2 - Again, there is another small cave to the right of the entrance to the second area. You can either jump into the area, or go around the back of it to get to the laptop.
3. Executioner - Final Room - Upon reaching the final area, jump onto any of the two side edges of the final room. Then, jump up onto the higher ledge, and go through the doorway, and the piece of intel should be right there.

Use the drone to first kill the Gargoyle (see achievement below) and then destory the five obelisks, and the achievement is yours.

The Gargoyle is a new enemy type in Awakening. These Gargoyle's look like flying dragons, and can be killed at the end of the first area of the game. Awakening Completionist

Complete all Challenges and escape Awakening in Regular or Hardcore difficulty.

Awakening Completionist
1 guideOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeDifficulty SpecificStackable

Some challenges you could face are as follows:

EASY CHALLENGES

Kill X scout aliens with melee attacks
Self-explanatory. Push the right thumbstick down to kill enemies with your knife. During the entire first area you can save ammo and money by using only melee attacks against all the scout aliens.

Kill X enemies with pistols
Again, self-explanatory and easy to do: unsheathe, aim and shoot. .44 Magnum and MP-443 are the best choice.

If a seeder, rhino or a phantom appears, you have to keep calm, use some tactic and kill them with your knife or some traps, sentries, IMS, explosives, SOFLAM, etc. (throwing a flare can be useful in these circumstances).

Don't reload your weapon for X seconds
"You will not laugh! You will not cry! You will not press the X button!" Also, you will not change weapon, pick up items or dispense any ammo. And do not shoot if your weapon has a small magazine with high rate of fire. Sentry Guns and/or Vultures can be used, so feel free to call these in when you don’t have any flares to throw.

Don't use abilities for X seconds
Don't drop any ammo, don't use team support, strike or equalizer abilities.

Kill X enemies in mid-air
Activate all the traps in the nearby and this challenge will be an easy win. Alternatively reach a high platform, equip a powerful weapon, wait for a lucky jumping alien and destroy it at middle air (or vice versa).

Kill X enemies when your health bar is full
This challenge is equivocal and pretty easy indeed. Health is auto-regenerative, so even if you get hit by an enemy the challenge isn't void, wait until the health is restored and shoot as many aliens as possible. Only the aliens killed while the health bar is at its maximum will count. Using armor is convenient; those will get damaged first instead of your health bar.

Protect a random player
The team will have to prevent that a random player enters the survival state. Drop some armour and use Venom-X (if available) against your teammate if surrounded by enemies.

Spend X amount of money
"This is a poor excuse to pick a man's pockets", someone would say. Don't be greedy, always share ammo and armor. Place turrets and activate traps.

Don't steal kills at the turrets, but defend them from the Cryptid’s attacks.

These are the red Seekers, not the new Yellow Seeders. Don't let them get too close, just shoot from a distance. Activating traps might be a great help as well, but beware that some Seekers mount buildings to flank you and your team.

Note: this is the glitchy one! This was my last challenge while I was going for this achievement and our team only had one Seeker spawning in.

Don't spend money for 2 minutes
Two minutes can be a lot of time if this challenge pops up during the third or fourth area.

This way you'll always have your favorite gun on your side while the other one can be something different in terms of category.

Kill X bombers

This challenge is easy, but when the game does not spawn them, you can't do the challenge.

Kill a gargoyle with melee

Easy enough, shoot the gargoyle, and then knife it until it dies.

Have every player buy a new gun

Buy a cheap, but still effective gun, and you should be fine.

HARD CHALLENGES

Don't get damaged by the Seekers
Traps like electric fence are a good ally, except for gasoline traps, they can block the view preventing the sighting of the Seekers. If you have some flares, throw them one at a time. While observing Seekers, they will become easy targets

Kill X enemies (bombers, etc) without getting any damage

Stay together, try to have a good view of the field, activate some traps, use sentries to watch your back and destroy enemies at a distance. Assault Rifles and LMG’s work wonderfully, as well as portable minigun turrets. Throwing a flare at a certain distance is convenient. Watch out for Seekers, Seeder, Rhino's and Hunters. If a Rhino appears a teammate with riot shield should keep him busy while the others will shoot him (fully upgraded portable minigun turrets works like a charm against Rhinos).

Find and kill the leper within X seconds

Use armor, heavy weapon and be fast because the entire squad will be an easy target during this challenge. If you have the Venom-X you can detonate some gas bullets inside the circle in order to protect the squad.

Kill the highlighted aliens first

Sometimes not highlighted Seekers comes early; when they explode it counts as a kill and the challenge is void. Tossing a flare can be useful, then carefully shoot and cross your fingers. Lottery basically.

Kill X enemies while prone
This is an easy challenge until the third area, when it can become tough Using the Venom-X by prone will help. Keep the team together, wait for enemies to surround you, take turn and shoot at short distance using the Venom-X. Armor will be useful too.

Kill X enemies that are higher than you

While the exact range that enemies can be killed isn't set in stone, but i have killed enemies that are as close as arms lengths away, and they have counted.

That’s it for this map, if you have any questions; please feel free to spam my inbox! Have fun and good luck slaying the Cryptids!

"Nemesis" is the fourth DLC in the horrid game called Call of Duty: Ghosts. Eggstra Nemesis!
6 guidesOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeVersusCollectable

Like previous DLC's, you must find and shoot an alien hive in each of the 4 new maps in a public multiplayer match. After you have found them, load up Exodus and activate a generator (there aren't any hives in Exodus like there were in previous maps).

Goldrush: Head south. You should be inside of a cave. The hive is located near the "Danger, explosives above" sign. Progress slightly further past the sign. Once you reach the first support beam, go to the edge and look down a corridor. If you look straight ahead, you should see a portion of the hive sticking out. Shoot it, and you should have three of the four hives done.

Dynasty: Head southwest on the map. Go to the edge of the map; you should see a boat with a red sail in the distance. On that boat should also be an egg. If you can't seem to locate it on the boat, I advise that you spray all over the boat. After you shoot the egg, a message along the lines of "1/4 eggs found" will appear.

Subzero: This hive is nestled in the northeast of the map inside of a missile silo. When you are near the missile silo, crouch near what appears to be a ladder and look down. Look around until you find the hive.

Showtime: Of the four hives, the hive in Showtime is the hardest to shoot. First off, you must head west on the map. If you see rigging/a podium and quite a few black boxes which appear to be housing cargo, then you are in the right place. Go to the stack of the black boxes, climb them, and jump to the platform on the right. Jump up and you should see the egg, which is right behind the partially broken glass window.

Again, with "Exodus," you must collect all of the intelligence in the map. In total, there are three encrypted intelligence laptops and four additional classified intelligence items. Classified intelligence items can be randomly acquired by searching ammunition boxes around the map, and you'll unlock the classified intelligence in order. Also, something else of note: the intelligence item that you unlock upon escaping the map is not required for the completion of this achievement.

  1. Entitled "The Final Option," you must turn right from the first spawn area and into the hut where you will find the laptop on the bed.
  2. Dubbed "Caller ID: Unknown," you must go through the middle gate from the first spawn area. Then, turn left and use the blue crate to get on top of the truck to find the laptop which doubles as intelligence.
  3. "More Than Human." When inside the parking garage, use the door with "EXIT" plastered atop it which is near to and to the right of the first generator. Once you go through the door, follow the hall. Once outside, you will find the laptop on the ground near a sign.

Postmaster
1 guideOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeMain StorylineDifficulty Specific

This achievement is best done at the gas station as it is the easiest to defend. In order to get to the gas station, open the gate on the far left. The gas station has both upper and lower generators (you must do both generators in any given area).

Before starting the generators, accumulate some skill points so that you can upgrade yourself and thus stand much better of a chance in defending the generator. As well as that, make sure that you have reasonable guns - the pistol will not work, but the new NX-1, which kills Rhino's in approximately four shots and disables ancestors (the new boss) shields, will most assuredly suffice; this is especially true because it has an infinite amount of ammunition. After you hold out for the two generators, you will pop the achievement!

In order to make the NX-1, you must find the following parts:

  • Cortex Substrate
  • Cortex Housing
  • Liquid Battery

These items can be found from toolboxes scattered around the second area of the map and beyond. After all of the parts are found, craft the item. The NX-1 acts as a third weapon, so there is no need to worry about sacrificing one of your great weapons!

After you have acquired the NX-1 Disruptor, you must use it to kill three aliens with one round of ammunition.

Gather three of the smaller aliens and group them up. This can be done by letting them hit you, but you can also train them. After you have three enemies bunched together, charge up the gun by holding cn_LT and plant an energy bolt in the middle of all three aliens. In doing so, you will earn yourself an achievement and kill all three of the enemies.

Ancestors, this "boss enemies" of this map, spawn when certain generators are activated. In order to be able to hit an ancestor with a Hypno Knife (which can be obtained through searching in the searchable ammunition boxes that are scattered around the map) you must fire an overcharged shot of the aforementioned NX-1 at the ancestors. Once the ancestor's shields are down, throw the Hypno Knife nife at the ancestor using cn_LB, thus unlocking another achievement!

Mass Exodus

Complete the final Ancestor encounter in Regular or Hardcore difficulty.

Mass Exodus
1 guideOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeMain StorylineDifficulty SpecificStackable

"Mass Exodus" can be unlocked by finishing Exodus. In order to progress relatively farther, I recommend practicing the following strategies:

1. Good communication: No good team can survive without good communication.

2. A good leader: A good leader isn't bossy, but leads while keeping the group on track (so people don't run off and do their own thing).

3. Predetermined loadouts: Make sure that you have predetermined loadouts; this will ensure that all of your bases are covered

Once you've powered up all 6 generators, you will reach the final battle of the map, which is back at the original spawn, where you'll find Dr. Cross next to the Medusa. Once you interact with the Medusa, the final battle will begin. Note that you will never have to worry about aliens attacking the Medusa, as it will never be destroyed.

During this final battle, there will be a flood of all alien forms attacking you, your teammates, and the Medusa. Furthermore, there will be a total of 3 Ancestors that will spawn in at different phases of the battle. Your goal is to simply stay alive while the Cortex charges, which increases by you killing aliens, especially Rhinos and the 3 Ancestors.

Once the Cortex is fully charged, have everyone on the team interact with it, which will activate the Medusa and complete the game.

Timing is Everything

Timing is Everything
4 guidesOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeDifficulty SpecificStackableTime/Date

In order to unlock "Timing is Everything", during the final boss battle, DO NOT kill any ancestors until the Cortex is fully loaded. Instead, you'll have to slowly charge the Cortex up by running around (avoiding the Ancestor's attacks) and focusing on all other aliens, especially the rhinos. Once the Cortex is fully loaded, gather everyone near it and hold cn_X. In doing so, you will immediately kill all three ancestors on the map and unlock another achievement. This process is instantaneous and doesn't take 10 seconds like the description says.

Unstoppable

Complete the final Ancestor with at least 1 relic in Regular or Hardcore difficulty.

Unstoppable
1 guideOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperativeDifficulty SpecificStackableLevel

"Unstoppable" can be unlocked by beating Exodus while carrying a relic.

After defeating the last battle and activating the cortex, you will unlock the achievement.

With the aforementioned tips in mind, set your difficulty to Hardcore. Additionally, make sure that you have a relic active (again, refer to the aforementioned tips regarding which relic(s) to use). While playing on Hardcore difficulty, make sure you craft the NX-1 as quick as possible, as it is very effective on killing rhinos and ancestors, which is extremely useful for the final battle.

Here is the best route to take on Hardcore difficulty:

1) The wide gate straight ahead of spawn.
2) The gate to the right of your spawn.
3) The bottom generator on the right-hand side of the map (Through the right gate).
4) The top generator on the right-hand side of the map (Probably the most difficult one).

The following four generators are conveniently covered by a Tesla coil air trap. There is one in the parking garage (directly adjacent the first generator) and two at the gas station (one directly right of the generator on the roof and one down the ramp from the roof and to the right)

5) The first generator you encounter in the parking structure (Middle area).
6) The second generator you encounter in the parking structure.
7) The gate to the left of your spawn point.
8) The generator on the bottom of the gas station.
9) The generator on the roof of the gas station.

For the final boss battle, make sure you prioritize killing phantoms, rhinos, and ancestors, as they will be dealing the most damage to you. Furthermore, make sure you're constantly using your equipment whenever you can afford it.

After you have completed the mission on hardcore with a relic active, you will unlock the achievement. Congratulations!

A note: You DO NOT have to do the challenges for every door of the mission. That means you DO NOT have to open the optional doors leading to an area that is absent a generator.

However, you have to do the three final challenge during the final battle. These new challenges are as follows.

  • Do not take damage from an Ancestor for 120 seconds
  • Kill an Ancestor in 180 seconds or less
  • Deal 20,000 damage to Ancestors by hitting their weak points (i.e., shoot the ancestor in the head after their shield is down)

HARD CHALLENGES

Don't get damaged by the Seekers
Traps like electric fence are a good ally, except for gasoline traps, they can block the view preventing the sighting of the Seekers. If you have some flares, throw them one at a time. While observing Seekers, they will become easy targets

Kill X enemies (bombers, etc) without taking any damage

Stay together, try to have a good view of the field, activate some traps, use sentries to watch your back and destroy enemies at a distance. Assault Rifles and LMG’s work wonderfully, as well as portable minigun turrets. Throwing a flare at a certain distance is convenient. Watch out for Seekers, Seeder, Rhino's and Hunters. If a Rhino appears a teammate with riot shield should keep him busy while the others will shoot him (fully upgraded portable minigun turrets works like a charm against Rhinos).

Find and kill the leper within X seconds

Use armor, heavy weapon and be fast because the entire squad will be an easy target during this challenge. If you have the Venom-X you can detonate some gas bullets inside the circle in order to protect the squad.
