Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga (EU)

Note : This walkthrough was originally written for the US version of the game. However, there are no differences, so you should have no problems using this walkthrough!

So what we have here is a walkthrough for Divinity 2:DKS. Divinity is an ARPG made by Larian Studios. DKS is the much improved version of ED. Menus are clearer, frame rate issues have been fixed, other similiar issues have been addressed, and a new expansion, Flames of Veangeance, has been added. After you finish the main game, you'll automatically start the Flames of Vengeance expansion, though you can create a character from scratch for FoV if you like. I'm rather fond of the game myself, but there's no hiding the fact it's got a certain B-movie feel to it. The game can be played on casual difficulty and you'll need between 30 and 40 hours to complete all the achievemets.

The game is somewhat difficult early game regardless of difficulty setting, but it's much easier than ED, as you're given more experience for quests and can pick the experience reward from quests. The penalty for fighting enemies higher level than you is also lower, so it's a much easier version of the game, and it only gets easier as you level up and get more skill points.

The game has a number of missables achievements, with 2 real points of no return. The 1st is mentioned to you in-game, and the last is whe you enter the final dungeon of the game. However, as long as you do everything before each point, you'll be fine. Only one achievement has one chance to unlock, which is a quiz you need to get all the answers right on. The walkthrough points out what to do when, of course, so simply following it will unlock every achievement in the game. The expansion has it's own point of no return which is technically when you start the final fight of the game. However some achievements need to be done before entering the final dungeon. Again, the walkthrough covers all of this.

There's not much to break down on our path to 100%. We'll play through the game once and get every achievement in that playthrough

First off set the difficulty to easy. No real benefit to playing on normal. As all RPGs, make sure you save often. I try to mention parts where you should save because something difficult or possible to fail is about to show up, but you should absolutely be saving every 15 minutes or so. If you die you have to load a save, so you can lose a lot of effort if you aren't careful.

On this page I'll cover controls, combat, builds, and missables.

cn_LSc - Move character
cn_RSc - Camera
cn_RT - Jump
cn_LB - Use/activate/loot

cn_dpad and cn_Acn_Bcn_Xcn_Y are all configurable. You can put weapons, potions, other items, spells, or skills on any of these buttons. If you hold a button down for a second or two a hotkey menu will appear and you can choose between all the possible things you can slot. Generally speaking, I use the buttons for combat and the cn_dpad for potions, teleport stone and the like. You can use them how you prefer, of course

Like most ARPGs, you can choose between melee, ranged or magic. I play through the game as a melee, so the guide is written from this prospective. The build I'm providing here is the build I've used through the US and EU versions of both ED and DKS. Does it work? Certainly. Do you need to use it? Nope! Divinity 2 is pretty good at being managable regardless of what you decide to build, at least on casual difficulty and perhaps normal. For example, you could be an archer and focus on splitting arrows and way of the ranger, or you could also be a mage and use the summon spells and your creature to keep enemies busy while you kill them. It's really up to you. I'm just providing my build if you are interested in a straight forward build to finish the game.

The easiest way to get through the beginning of the game is with a bow. Enemies that use ranged attacks are easily dealt with this way. With mages and archers, their fireballs and arrows do not track you, so you can typically get 2-3 arrows off in between each of their shots, and then move left or right when they shoot to avoid all damage. For melee, most enemies do not move as fast as you, so you can walk backward, take shots until they get close and move away again, and repeat. You can also stand on rocks and other things to shoot melee enemies with no reprecussions. Just make sure the object can't be walked on.

Of course, you can certainly play melee early on but against more than 2 enemies you will likely die. Later on we'll have enough points in survival skills that we can comfortably melee enemies, and at that point there's no real use for a bow. Melee has a skill that allows you to instantly close a gap so long as no terrain is in the way, so that all negates the advantage of a bow. Still, since you can have both melee and ranged weapons equipped there's no reason not to upgrade your bow. The stat bonuses it might give are given even when using a melee weapon, so it's worth it. Anyway, on the build.

Stat Points

Split stat points between strength (melee damage and melee resistence) and vitality (HP). Once you've got them maxed you can start putting points into dexterity, as this increases the damage critical hits do, and we'll be aiming for as big of a crit chance as possible. The other stats don't do much for us. However, don't start putting points into Dexterity until you feel comfortable with how much life you have. In other words, don't do it if you're struggling to survive fights. If you find yourself doing that, leaning more toward vitality would be better. Still, you get much more experience in this version, so you shouldn't be struggling too much.

Skill Points

Skills have a level cap based on your level, and there's another cap only a trainer can unlock, and you won't get one until what's basically the 2nd half of the game. I'm going to separate my skill suggestions into 3 categories, priority for ones you want to put points into when you can, secondary for ones you want to get eventually or only want a few points in, and consideration for ones that are of limited use but may be something you want to invest in.

Priority

Battle Rage - Greatly increases melee damage but decreases melee resistence. This skill got a massive buff in DKS. Instead of the penalty increasing with each level, it starts at the max and drops with each level. At max level, there is no penalty. Just a straight up 120% melee damage buff that lasts a few minutes at a time. I would level it up but not use it early game because of the penalty. Once you've got 5-10 levels in it though, you can start using it, and should pretty much being using it every time it's off cooldown.

Life Leech - Gives a chance to steal life when you hit enemies. Pretty standard melee build stuff. The chance to occur is low but once you're getting critical hits for 500-1000 damage every time it procs can potentially give hundreds of health.

Death Blow - Increases critical hit chance. Self-explanatory!

"Expertise" skill - There is an expertise skill for each weapon type (two-handed, dual wield, etc), the one for your weapon type should be a priority.

Lockpick - Allows you to pick locks, obviously. There's a ton of locked chests out there. Of course, the items are random so you never know if you'll get something good, but you're bound to get a few good things out of chests as you go.

Fatality - Absolutely silly skill. Allows you to instantly execute anyone under a certain HP threshold, based on skill level. As far as I can tell, nothing is immune to this as I could execute everything I tried to. It only gets more useful as enemies get stronger. It even works on the final boss laugh

Mindread - Reduces the experience penalty you get for mindreading someone. Not really necessary for the main game, but once we get into the Flames of Vengeance expasion, mindreads start costing 10k+ experience, and we have to do quite a few for achievements. As a result putting points into it in the latter half of the game is a good idea. At max level you get free mindreads, so try to get there before you get too deep into Flames of Vengeance.

Secondary

Rush Attack - This allows us to gap close to any enemy so long as terrain is not in the way. This can even be used to get on a higher platform an enemy an is on. Very useful. We only need 1 point here though.

Mana leech - Same as Life Leech but for mana. However, has a much higher chance of occuring. One point will be enough here, since we won't be using mana often.

Regenerate - Increases life regeneration. One point is good enough. The difference between max level and 1 is .5%, and that's just not worth that many skill points.

Explosive Arrow - Damage isn't based on ranged damage, so it's good for clusters of enemies even if you are a melee character. Sadly got nerfed in DKS, so it's not worth as many points.

Consideration

Wisdom - Increases experience gain. Experience gain is based on enemy level, so leveling up faster just means they give less experience faster. However, quest reward experience isn't affected by level. Still, unless you absolutely want to min/max experience gains, this isn't worth the points.

Healing - Does what it says on the box. The mana cost is high but with mana leech you shouldn't have too much trouble keeping mana for it. High cooldown though.

Missables

Lovis Lore-Master is missable if you fail the test in Maxos Temple. It's the only achievement you can miss at a random time. There's 2 points of no return. There are 2 real landmasses in the game, Broken Valley and the Fjords. Pretty much everything in Broken Valley will be unaccesible once you proceed far enough into the story. The game will warn you when you reach this point, and of course I will too. If you're interested in what it is, read the spoiler.

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

The following achievements will becomes unobtainable at this point.

Chicken Out
Off the Leash
She Never Saw it Coming
Cave In

These 4 are missed because the quests related to these achievements automatically fail, or the area cannot be reached (or both).

Bounty Hunter - This requires killing all 10 bounties. If you don't kill the 5 in Broken Valley before the point of no return you are screwed, regardless of whether you kill the 5 in the Fjords or not.
Bunny Bagger - For this you need to kill 30 bunnies and then beat the boss that spawns. I'm about 99.9% positive there aren't 30 bunnies in the Fjords, though there are some. So if you get close to 30 you'll be fine. Still, you can shoot it from atop a rock with no reprecussion and there's more than 30 in Broken Valley, so just do it then.
Family Fortune - If you don't read the mind of the first 2 Gremory siblings then you are screwed out of this one.

The second point of no return occurs in the Fjords. It starts the end of the game. The game isn't quite as obvious about this part, but I'll tell you when it comes. Again, check the spoiler if you want to know.

Needless to say, as the start of the end of the game everything will be missed aside from the final story achievement once you go past this point.

You'll need to make a lot of dialog choices during the game. I tell you which options to choose when it matters. If I don't specify an option, just choose option 1 until either the conversation ends of the responses just repeat. Then you can just end the conversation.

Choose New Game - Ego Draconis for a few cut-scenes. Afterward you create your character. None of the options matter as far as achievements are concerned, so pick what you like.

Map

Afterward you'll have another cutscene. You'll find yourself in a conversation next, and after it you'll see your first rabbit hopping along, innocently. Walk up to it and mercilessly punch it with cn_X. The game will explain the controls while you go up the hill. There's 5 rabbits on this hill, and 2 that are typically by the guy at the gate. If you get too close a conversation will start, if this happens just finish it and then track down the 2 rabbits. Remember to keep track of how many you've killed so you can stop at 29 and be prepared for the boss fight the 30th spawns. Once the conversation ends and you've slaughtered all the rabbits (I counted 7 or so), enter the village and head west over the bridge, and then north to find a guy in purple robes behind a table named Tiresias (1). Remember this guy and head south, you'll find an 8th rabbit on the way.

Once you reach the waterfall you'll get an scene (2). Approach Morgana for a conversation. Afterward backtrack to Tiresias and choose option 1, and then choose 1 again. Press cn_A twice for an achievement.

Next head west to the bridge for a conversation. After some talking you'll have a short scene, then press cn_X and press cn_A to mindread her and get an achievement.

From here head across the bridge and go south. You'll find Gawain (3) on a bench near the gate and training dummy (or possibly hitting the training dummy), talk to him. Head north to the gate, and talk to Edmund (4) and mindread him, then head south to the gate near Gawain for a conversation. Head inside and kill the enemies. In the north end is a campfire, on the rocks near it will be a key (5), grab it. Leave the training area and head to Tiresias. Follow the house behind him around to a chest behind some bushes, loot it (6). We're done here, so return to where you started the game (7) for a conversation. You'll get an achievement after it.

Map

Northeast of you you'll see the first teleport shrine. Keep an eye out for these so you can activate them. They allow you to teleport to other shrines and will be very useful throughout the game. Head south to the town gate and then head east. Once you pass the big tree turn right and you'll run into Merchant Lamotte (1). You should have at least one thing to sell, do so for an achievement.

Sell anything else you might have and buy a bow if he has one and you can afford it. Head south across the bridge to find 2 people arguing, one of them has a ! above their head (2). Talk to Richard (the one in armor) and choose option 1 both times for a quest. It's an ongoing quest in which he gives you money for any goblin hearts you bring him. Talk to the farmer Folo (the other guy) and choose option 1 both times for another quest, we'll do it soon enough. Head inside the watermill, it's the house in the middle of town with the clotheslines by it (3). Inside you'll find a bunch of stuff you can loot, but our objective is the black pot with a bunch of lettuce in it, in the kitchen. Loot all the lettuce and you'll find a key in the bottom of the pot, take it. You'll see some stairs going down nearby, head down and open the caged door, then use the trapdoor. Pick up the plants in the small pots on the left, and the 2 scrolls on the desks. Head through the door and pick up the plants on the wall (on the left), and check the iron vein on the left as well.

The tree will talk to you when you approach it, choose option 2 and then end the conversation. Check around the room for more plants (special interest is the ginseng to the left of the tree, if you're facing it), then talk to the tree again and choose option 1. You'll be able to make some potions with the ginseng, earning an achievement.

Now go back up and talk to Miller Upton, then pick option 3 for a quest. Talk to Linda and mindread her, then exhaust her dialog options. Leave the watermill. Talk to Rose in the house Folo was by (across the bridge) and choose option 1. North and a bit east of Rose's house is the church (4), Romon is outside of it with a quest, take it and also use all the dialog options for the main quest. Head into the church and check under the stairs to the left of the altar to find Linda's money. Head back to her and give it to her with option 1. Enter the barracks (5) now. It's the rather tall building by the gate, take the stairs near the gate up and enter the nearby door. Talk to Louis next to Rhodes and answer option 1 all the way through. You'll find a small board with papers on it opposite the door we came in, use it and read every note (option 1-5). Up the stairs next to the board you'll find Captain Rodney, talk to him.

Now leave and talk to Ollie, who is north and a bit east of the barracks outside the bar (6) and choose option 2. Head south of the barracks and find Winthrop (7) outside a building (near the drill sergeant insulting troops) and answer option 1 all the way through. Enter the building by Ollie and pick up the rope to your right when you enter. Take it and don't sell it as we need it later. Head up the ramp for a scene, then talk to Barmaid Else (she has a ! above her head). Talk to Anthony and choose answer 1 and then 2 twice. Choose option 2 in the next conversation. Now talk to Tim behind the counter nearby. Choose the experience award and you should hit level 2, earning an achievement.

Locke should be walking into the bar (or will be shortly), talk to him and answer option 1 to get a quest. Go up the ramp nearby to the next floor and talk to Brave Sir Robin for another quest we'll do later. Keane should be next to the entrance to the barracks we just used, talk to him and choose option 3, then option 1 followed by option 2. Return to Locke. He sells uncommon and rare items, so it's not a bad idea to check his shop often. Return to Rhode to finish the dragon quest. Assuming you've been choosing the experience award, you'll be level 5 now, which just so happens to be a great level for the upcoming boss.

If either merchant (Locke or Lamotte) has a nice 2 handed weapon, buy it (or a one hand weapon if they don't). Head into the church and enter the door in the back. I'd make a save just to be safe, this is the first real fight where you might die. Follow the path to a big room, you'll find a ghost here, ignore its allies and defeat it. You'll see a key on the table near where the ghost was, take it. If you turn around you'll see the chest the key belongs to. East of the chest is another chest and a stats book on the table near it. Reading the stats book will give you a stat point. Leave the tomb and Rhode will take the sword from you and complete a quest. Leave the town and explore, kill goblins and look around. Points of interest include the small square on the map west of town, you'll find a watchtower with a guy stuck on it. Answer option 1 until the conversation ends, kill the goblins and loot them, talk and choose option 1 again, we'll finish this later.

Map

Northwest of that tower you'll find Mouse (1) by a tree, and he'll be near a chest and a lever, use it. South and a bit west of that you'll find Hjalmar (2) and a bunch of goblins. You can pick them off with a bow before you approach them if you think they will be too much all together (they probably will be). Always make sure to loot bounty hunts like Hjalmar, as the item you need to finish the quest always has to be looted from them.

Map

West of Mouse is the Old Cave (1) up a hill (there's a shrine on the way), inside you'll find a bunch of chests (the key for the small box is in the nearby bathtub). At the end of the path you'll find Naberius, option 1 all the way through for a quest. Head outside and go east (before the shrine) to find a trap door for a cave (2), enter. Follow the path until you reach a big bonfire, get the key off the bone chair nearby. Follow the path to a locked door, head inside and loot everything.

Leave and head to the burned building (3) south and a tad west of the Old Cave to find Jesse, choose option 1 both times. Check the altar behind Jesse after killing him to enter a dungeon. Head south at the first fork and then east at the next, followed by north at the 3rd fork. Head north at the next one and follow the path to some jail cells. Get the key on the ground in front of one of the doors on the east wall and open the door on the east side next to it for a chest. Then head up the ladder in a cell on the south side of the room in one of the open cells. Talk to the guy (option 1 both times) and then go back down via the hatch. Head back to the last for and head south (a cave in will occur if you try the other way). Follow the path to a door (use the lever) and then leave. Answer option 2 and then 1.

West of here is a little village, head there and talk to the pig Kevin in the pig pen, by the armored soldiers. Talk to Lomax (guy in armor nearby) and choose option 2 twice, then talk to Kevin the pig again and choose option 1. Dana should be wandering around the town with a ! over her head, talk to her for a quest. Also enter the only house here (Johnson house). If you look up and to the right you'll see a key on the beam by 2 boxes (DO NOT HIT THEM!), jump on the boxes and get the key, then enter the trapdoor nearby. Get the diary off the desk and read it, then leave.

Head back to the first village and talk to Richard, mindread him, then option 1 all the way. Talk to Derk, the blacksmith with a station next to Folo's farm to finish another quest. Talk to Folo to finish yet another, and talk to Rodney to finish 2 (Hjalmar and the diary) and Louis in the barracks to finish more. Use the ladder in the room with Louis and then go into the door on the left up a bit of stairs. Pick option 2, then option 1 until the conversation ends.

Head into the watermill. Save, then head down the stairs to find an assassin. Kill her after the conversation. She does quite a bit of damage, so be prepared to use a healing potion or two. Head to the other village now, at the Johnson house you'll have a scene of Rodney taking a guy away, make sure to watch it or Rodney won't be at his table in the barracks. Talk to Lomax (one of the armored guys by where the pigs were) and answer option 1 all the way through. Head north to where Mouse is (the lone soldier standing near the tree by the lever) and talk to him. Head back to the first village and talk Richard to finish a quest.

If you have 3k gold, buy the 2 Malachite Gems from Lamotte after mind-reading him, we'll need them much later. If you don't have the money or don't want to spend it right now you can buy them right before we have to leave Broken Valley forever, I'll remind you. It's time for us to move on, so head for the second village and head straight west. You'll find a small passage that turns south and leads to what seems like a rock formation, approach it for a conversation and then you'll be in a new area. Go forward and follow the path, the game will tell you the controls. This gives you a preview of what you'll be able to do later. Kill the enemies you come across with cn_LT to lock on and cn_RT to spew fire, once you reach a fortress a cutscene will start and afterward you'll get an achievement.

And with that, the vast majority of the rest of this landmass is available to you. Thanks to your new powers, your jump is about twice as good. You obviously have other powers you got a taste of, but they won't come into play until much later. We have quite a bit to do now. Note that the enemies around here are 7-8 or higher, so care needs to be taken so you don't die. Keep potions in a quick-slot, and be ready to dance around with the bow if necessary. So long as you don't pull a bunch of enemies at once, though, you shouldn't have much trouble. If you look at the map, you'll see a scroll icon on a structure southwest of you, a lot of the directions I give you for awhile will refer to it, though obviously you'll have maps as well.

Map

Head south across the bridge and you'll be accosted by a man named Willy. He tries to get money out of you, but he's a scammer. He'll show up multiple times, just tell him where to stuff it every time. Our first objective is straight west of the scroll icon on your map, you'll see a circle of stones. North of it is a ledge, you'll find Casper (1) wandering around on it (you can only go up on the west side). Talk to him and then head to the circle of stones south of him (2). Bellegar will appear and summon 3 goblins, kill them all. They can potentially decimate you if you let all 3 attack you at once. Jumping on one of the rocks nearby and shooting them is the safe option. Afterward look around for the lone white chicken and kill it for an achievement.

You'll see paths leading back up, use the one on the left. You'll find some rabbits on the way up, kill 'em all. When you reach the top of the hill there's another rabbit or 2 to the west down a slight incline, get them. Once that's done, head north across the river and then west, you'll come across 3 rabbits. Kill the rabbits but don't go too far west. Further west will be cutscene and a bunch of level 11 goblins. Once you kill the rabbits save and head west and trigger the ambush, then kill them. Heading further west will lead to a forest. On the south side of the stream are a bunch of rabbits, and if you go south to the next stream there's some on the north side. There's also some running around the forest. It would be prudent to kill all the enemies before searching though. I counted 8 total. Make sure you keep track of how close you are to 30 rabbits killed, as this isn't the best place to face the killer rabbit. You can absolutely reach 30 or more rabbits here if you kill them carelessly, so be careful.

Map

South of that stream at the bottom of the map you'll find a person dying named Kagar (1). Talk to him and the head inside the nearby cave (2). Head forward and then go north at the fork, kill the 2 creatures and loot the crystal skull and a key from one of them. Then return to the fork and head east to find a chest. The skull is for a quest we'll finish later. Leave the cave. On the ledge overlooking the cave you'll find 3 more rabbits (3). Assuming you got to 29 rabbits in the forest, you can SAVE and then scare one of the rabbits to the rocks northeast of you and kill it, it's ideal for this. Get the killer rabbit's attention once it spawns and then jump on the rock, try to get it on the northeast side as it'll get stuck there. Here's a picture of what I mean.

Killer Bunny

It cannot hit you from here, so lock on it and mash cn_A until it dies for an achievement, a bunch of experience, and some items. If you prefer (or are simply annoyed by how long it takes), you can sit on 29 rabbits until we're about to leave Broken Valley forever and do it then, as you'll be a higher level. Or until you have a better bow. Whatever you prefer.

You can ignore rabbits now if you killed it, I'll remind you to do it later if you didn't. Northwest of this rock, across the stream on the west side of the map, is Sosotra (4). Talk to her and answer option 1 all the way through. Head to where the rock we just used was, north of it should be some blue sparkles, approach them (5). A white bunny will spawn and move northwest of you (it'll still have sparkles on it) follow it until it turns into a treasure chest, then return to Sosotra and get another fortune. The next step in this quest we will do later.

Map

For now head north, across the stream the bunny was at, to find a shrine and a wall of wood, behind it is a wishing well and a person. Talk to the well (1), pay 1k, and then choose either the item or the experience (I always choose experience). Talk to Dreavan (2) and answer option 1 all the way through to finish a quest if you have some red ore on you, and mindread the guy if you'd like to enter his nearby storage (3) trapdoor and loot some chests. The key to the backroom is under a box near the door. If you don't have red ore you'll likely come across some before you have to leave, and might find it in one of the merchant's wares. If not it's not a particularly important quest. Just some experience.

Dreavan can enchant items with open enchant slots for you or remove enchantments an item already has, but it takes materials you probably don't have, and you likely won't have any enchant formulas worth using anyway, so forget it for now. Now head straight east of the scroll icon on the map. In order to get there you'll need to go to the northern cliff face north of the scroll icon and follow it east and then south. You'll find a goblin camp, and near it will be a shrine and a trapdoor, enter it. Follow the path to a fork and head west, then south at the next fork. Ignore the small dead end and continue following the path to run into Hallorn, kill him and loot him. Continue to the exit.

Now if you look at the region map you'll see there are 2 paths south of the tower with the scroll icon, one in the southwest, and one southeast. We want the southwest one. Easiest way to get there is to use the West Valley shrine that puts you near Draevan and heading south. You'll come across some bandits and regular people across the way, answer option 1 and then 2. After the fight mindread the guy for a stat point. Northeast of this is a cliff (you'll have to head south first to go up it) and Bellegar is at the top, kill the enemies he spawns. Now go south across the bridge and then save. A bit further south and on the left will be a bridge with a guy on it, he will challenge you when you reach him. Make sure to mindread him before fighting him if you want a good 2 handed sword.

Map

Instead of going over the bridge afterward though, stay on the west side and continue south to find Bellegar at another circle of stones. Defeat the demon and get the claw to finish a quest later. Backtrack to the bridge and cross it and head east. Once you reach the top of the hill, head southeast to find George Gremory (1) at some ruins, talk to him and make sure to mindread him for an achievement later. Follow the cliff south to find a shrine, and you can follow it further south to find Viper's camp (2). You'll fight 5 enemies here, and may attract more while chasing the archer and mages, so now is a good time to return to the village and stock up on potions if you're low, and buy better stuff if you can. Head back to the village via the shrine. Check all the stores and finish some quests. Talk to Brave Sir Robin to finish his quest. Then head to the Old Cave Naberius is in (west of Mouse, north of the second village) and talk to him in finish a quest.

Now put the Crystal Skull he gives you in a quick-slot and use it for an achievement.

Once you've stocked up and got any new equipment the shops have, head back to Viper's camp via the shrine and cut him down. If you jump down the cliff to the east you'll find a hole with a guard in it (3). When you approach he will ask for rope, which you hopefully kept the one I told you to get in the bar in the first village. Otherwise you'll have to try and find one in a shop. Once you give it to him a troll will attack, make sure the troll doesn't kill him or you'll fail. Since the guard is an archer this isn't too hard. You'll finish the quest afterward.

Map

East of the hole you'll see another circle of stones (1), head to it for more Bellegar action. Head northeast to find an alcove with Yupik (2) in it, cut him down. From here you'll find mines to the north, but there's little you can do here right now so ignore it and keep going north.

Map

Further north you'll find Eugene (1) by a tree near the river by the west cliffs, talk to him for a quest. Southeast of him is an entrance to a bandit camp (2), head in here now. This is another good place to summon the killer rabbit, as there's a few rabbits and tons of rocks to stand on. You can also potentially get help from the village guards in here if you lead the killer rabbit to them. Anyway, follow the path to Emily and a temple, talk to her and then head inside. Make sure to save your game before you do anything in here though.

Straight ahead of you you'll see bodies with lines of blood between them heading to the left, you must follow this trail of bodies/blood to avoid poison damage, as you can most certainly die if you aren't careful. When the bodies lead you to jump over a stream, you'll see Jagon on the left, hit him with your bow until he leaves, then continue following the path to the next room. In here jump on the ramp and then head down to the ladders and climb up all of them. At the top you'll have a scene. The lava hurts, so go into the stream and head forward to the waterfall and head behind it for a door. Past the door you'll find Jagon, kill him. You'll also find a portal behind him, head in for a conversation and scene. You'll be kicked out and finish a quest. You'll see a burning portal thing by the rock slide, use this to leave the cave.

Continuing on, to the north in the dead end above the stream is a merchant, but all the stuff he sells is fake, so ignore him. If you look at the map, southeast of the island with the scroll icon is an island of sorts with one bridge to it and a broken circle of stones, head there now. The bridge you need is straight south of the tribal shrine. Follow the path to the west side of the island, then up the cliff to the circle of stones. Kill the troll, then head to the first circle of stones we reached (where you had the dragon scene). Bellegar will have you fight all his enemies again (they're level 12, so be ready to use potions) and then you'll get a bunch of bags with some gold and other stuff in them to loot. Head back to the village via the shrines.

Give any goblin hearts to Richard you might have, and talk to Rodney in the barracks to finish all the bounty hunter quests. Talk to Doctor Needleman (in the door on the floor above the bar) and answer option 2. He will eventually ask you which you want to save. Clyde will give you a one-handed axe, Jackal gives a ring, so Jackal is best if you're using a two handed weapon. Check the shops for new stuff, we're about to finally get going on the story. Check the map, you'll notice the scroll icon is in the middle of a big tower. You'll see a platform jutting out of it going northwest, that's our entry path.

You'll find a ladder on the northeast end of it, use this to climb up and get to the tower. Inside you'll find a shrine and a gate. If you look to your right you'll see a fallen piece of rock you can climb, use it to jump up the platforms to the switch. You'll find 2 gates up ahead, and a switch on the ground. This opens the side gate. For the other gate turn around and you'll see a platform you can jump on, again jump across the platforms to the switch. Ahead you'll find yet another gate, take the ramp on the left and follow the path up to some fire breathing statues.

Assuming the one closest to you is 1, and the one by the gate ahead is 4, you want to hit 1, 2, 4, 3. Ahead you'll find 2 paths, the game has blue sparkles on the one going down, but ignore that one for now. The other path leads to a door, head inside. A button is in the perpetually burning room, it won't do enough damage to kill you, or even close to it. Jump in and hit the button to reveal a stone, take it. If you look in the rooms with torches you'll find chests, and one will have a skeleton merchant. He typically sells some great stuff, so mindread him for a discount and buy stuff if you find something you like. DO NOT choose any conversation options with him, just press cn_Y to trade. He'll disappear forever if you exhaust all his conversation options.

Head out and go back to the fork and take the path going down now. It'll put you back into the tower, behind the gate in front of the ramp. Hit the switch by the gate to open it for later, then head inside the door. Turn left and jump over the rubble, grab the scroll from the dead body in the incline. Turn around you'll see a platform with 4 chains on it, stand in the middle and then use the reveal spell in your inventory. Use the lever that appears and then loot all the chests.

Once you're ready, SAVE and then check the book on the pedestal by the throne. Answer 1 to take the test, then give the following answers.

Option 3 : Anastas
Option 1 : Ouroboros
Option 1 : The Battle of Ten Thousand
Option 3 : Ba'al
Option 2 : The Valley of Shrines

Assuming you answered correctly, you'll get an achievement.

Mindread this guy so you can open the chest to his left (your right) afterward. After the conversation you'll unlock another achievement.

Map

Now our objective is the Maxos Temple. This is the scroll marker in the northwest corner of the map. Before going to the scroll, once you get to the area head northwest to find a spot that looks sorta like a Bellegar shrine on the map, you'll find Zixzax (1) here. Mindread him for a tasty 2 skill points, then choose option 3 or 4, the one about language. Head east to find a shrine, then use it to go to the South Valley Shrine. Talk to George here (by the ruins). Kill the level 13 demon and then talk to him again. Now go back to the shrine and go to the west valley shrine. Talk to Sosotra, the fortune teller. Then go back the shrine and head to the temple shrine. Head south until you get a scene with Bellegar. Return to Sosotra for an achievement.

Return to the Maxos Temple and head to the scroll icon for a fight. Shouldn't be a problem at this stage of the game. After the fight head into the temple to the north for an achievement.

Head inside after the conversation and check the book on the pedestal, then use the urn by the door on a pedestal to open the door. Go straight ahead until you enter a passageway and the door closes behind you, use the book and then go into the teleporter behind it. Head inside until you see the 2 little bone throne type things. On the low wall on the left, by the 2 pillars, is a cup, use it. Here's a picture of it.

Cup

From here head back into the main room. Kill the enemies then use the pedestal on the south side. Go inside the door for a lovely puzzle. Go straight ahead and jump on the platform on the left. Climb the ladder, then jump to the platform to the northwest and use the switch.

If you look to the south you'll see a moving platform, you'll need to jump on it, then the stationary platform. From here jump to the platform to the north and use the switch. Drop down and enter the teleporter in the southwest corner of the room. Drop down to the platform with 3 switches by you. The switches control the platforms ahead of you. The far left one controls the closest one, the far right controls the farthest, the middle one controls the middle. You want the farthest one just under the far platform. The middle just below that, and the closest one just below that, like the picture below. Should take 1 pull on the right and middle lever, and 2 on the left one. Use the switch on the farthest platform once you get there.

Platforms

Return to the main room and kill the enemies, then check the northern pedestal Enter the room, but DO NOT touch anything. You'll get zapped for massive damage. Instead, use the pumpkin on the table, about half way through the room on the left. Return to the main room and kill the enemies. You can now use the teleporter on the west side of this room. Inside you'll have a conversation, mindread her. You'll have 4 rooms here, with an enemy ambush in each. You should see 2 rooms on the map that are faded gray, there's a switch in each you need to hit. To enter the 2 areas, use the odd colored brick on the wall where the path should be. Once you've hit both enter the door on the west side of the map. Fall down to the bottom of the stairs and read the pedestal at the bottom. I'd suggest saving.

Ahead you'll find a boss fight of sorts against a good number of enemies. 6-7. Use potions early and often. They are all lower level then you and if you chew through them before they surround you it's a fairly easy fight, so make sure they don't. If you have problems, retreating to the door and using it as a choke point of sorts will help. Sometimes the enemies will ignore you if you duck behind the door and you can snipe them with a bow, but not always. Now talk to the Librarian, who is the ghost with a ! over his head. Mindread him. Check the pedestal on the south side of the area for 2 stat points. Ahead (west) you'll find a shrine.

South of the shrine will be another ambush, but much easier. In here are 4 little alcoves in the corners of this room. First head to the northeast one to find Benedict's Diary (read it in your inventory) and a key. In the northwest room use the book on the bookshelf to open a passage. Take the key and phial, you can't open the chest quite yet. The southwest room has a diary you can read, and the southeast one has 2 books you can read. There's also a key on the ground by the beds, take it and open the chest. Head down to the area under the platform to the rooms and open the chest on the east side, and read the book you get.

Return to the Librarian and choose option 2. Now we want to head to the room west of the shrine. Save before going in. Walk in and mindread during the conversation, and then go across the bridge, the dragon will spit fire at you, but you should be fine chugging potions. Across the bridge you'll see dragon scales on the ground, grab them. Now head into your inventory and read the Orcus book. The boss is fairly strong, but he's weaker if you get him to draw his sword. Immediately use rush attack to hit him and make him take his sword out, and then slay him. Loot his body and use the book that appears for an achievement.

Head to the room south of the shrine, and head to the northeast alcove to open the chest with option 2 for some goodies. North of the shrine is our next objective. The next area is the last part of the game before we cannot return to Broken Valley. You should have a few quests outstanding still. Give Richard any goblin hearts you have, and talk to Romon in the village as well since you have his stone (head there via the village shrine). Head into the church and go forward, then pick up the notes on the altar and read them. Use a shrine to head to the lake shrine. West of the shrine is a door, use it and choose option 1. Inside you'll find a pedestal with no book on the right, and one on the left a bit further in, use both of them. Use the platforms near the entrance to find a button, hit it. The sword and hammer are one-handed, and we don't use shields, so the bow is the best option if you're using a two handed weapon. In the back is a body, search it to finish a quest. Leave and go to the tribal shrine. From here head south to where Eugene is and talk to him to finish the quest. Now head to the citadel shrine. We want to go back to Lovis, you don't need to take the long way though. Head up the path and enter the door (we opened the gate earlier, if you remember).

Go to Lovis and talk to him, then open the chest to your left and head back to the shrine. Use the Crypt shrine when you are. Head north for a scene, then kill the 2 enemies and enter the teleporter for an achievement.

Move on to the next page for the Sentinel Island walkthrough.

Map

In the new area, head forward to meet a lady. Mindread her for a nice chunk of experience. The first big quest here revolves around choosing between 2 people for each of the 4 platforms for your battle tower. You can choose the other choice if you like, but I picked the ones I did because they either offer better services or the required items for their quests aren't useful to us, so it's no loss. From here head north (get the shrine!) and then west to a peninsula with Jonah (1) on it, talk to him for a quest. You'll see another peninsula north of you, head to the western edge of it, and go into the cave (2) at sea level for an achievement.

Save before going too far though. You'll come across 2 women, choosing all option 1 will allow you to fight them both for some loot. One is 20, the other is level 16. Still, they should not be much trouble. Take down the level 20 first. Further inside are 2 big rooms with enemies, you can kill them and find stuff to loot, but not much else to do. Leave the cave and head up the peninsula the cave is on to find a tombstone (3), read it.

Map

After that, head east and at the lake you'll have a scene. The scene introduces the Necromancer Totem (1), remember where it is for later. Head east and then south to find Wesson (2), talk to him. Southwest of him is the Alchemy Totem (3), and south of it is a Necromancer Cave (4), head inside. Talk to both people here. Leave and head east of Wesson. It doesn't look like there's a path, but you can go under a bridge (5) to reach the beach.

Map

You'll see a big skeleton off to the left, head there. Talk to Catherine (1) and mindread her, she's the second Gremory sibling. West and a bit north of her is a shrine, and northeast of the shrine you'll find Allan (2) wandering around a small camp, talk to him.

Map

Now head south of Catherine to find a bunch of people on the left, past the rocks, in a big camp (1). You'll want to talk to Radcliff, Hermosa, Turgoyn and Barbatos and pick up the quests Hermosa and Turgoyn have. Head west from here to find a shrine and the Enchanter totem (2). Talk to it and choose Wesson.

Map

Now head south of the camp with everyone in it and then west after you pass under a rock formation to find a guy on a pillar, save him. Head east from him to find Kenneth (talk to him) and the Trainer totem. Choose the sexy Hermosa.

From here return to the Alchemist totem (south of Wesson) and choose Barbatos. Head to the Necromancer totem and choose Jonelath. After this the lady will show up again, mindread her for a skill point. Return to Jonah on the southern peninsula now. Head to the tombstone on the northern peninsula next, and read the arcane notebook. Light the 3 candles on the rocks, then talk to the lady. Head to the shrine and go to the sea side shrine now. Just north of it you'll find a door, go inside with option 1.

Follow the path to a room with chests, loot them all, including the small one on the desk. Head outside to be ambushed, though the 2 enemies should pose little problem at this point. One of them drops a key that opens the chest in the room you could not open before. Afterward leave and talk to Catherine (in the big whale skeleton) to complete a quest. Now return to the lady by the tombstone on the peninsula north of Jonah (use the nearby shrine to head to the beach shrine). You'll have to follow her to your next objective, then head up the long hill a bit south and then west to the Bandit Barracks.

Head up to the door and use the button on the left. Inside you'll find some enemies, kill them. There's a guy in a cell on the northern side you can rescue if you like, but it's not necessary. Our objective is the southeast cell, push the button to open the door, then head to the back. On the left is a wooden pillar and on it is a button, use the button. Follow the path to find 2 barrels on a table, take them. Leave the cell and head east, you'll find a cave in. Use the explosive barrel in your inventory while standing right by the rocks, then run away until it explodes.

Follow the new path to a fork, the west path can be opened with the other explosive for a key at the end of the path, not sure what it does though. Following the other path takes you to an elevator. Use the button on the left to go down. Kill the enemy ahead of you for a key, then head to the right for a shrine if you like. Straight ahead you'll find a guy you can talk to. Go back to the elevator and go up three times to the 2nd floor. Head in the room and go left to find an enemy, kill him and get the key. Go back to the elevator and head down one floor. Head in the door and mindread the goblin straight ahead. Now check the bookcase at the end of the other path and choose Gothe's Ballads. Open the white chest on the table.

Talena will now warn you that we approach the point of no return for Broken Valley, as it's about to get steamrolled. Indeed, it will be very different after the next story events, so anything you want to do needs to be done now or you can never do it. This includes almost everything on Sentinel Island but Turgoyn's quest as well, so do anything here you need to do too. The bottom floor has a shrine if you wish to leave and do anything. If you're ready, go to the elevator and go up twice. Head inside the door and a conversation and then a fight will start. After the fight mindread the lady for a stat point. You may want to choose option 2 and save, then talk to the lady again and choose option 1 for the next fight. The boss has quite a bit of HP and has 2 peons but they die easy. Once you've gotten him to half health, he runs. Mindread the lady again for another stat point. Now follow the path south to an elevator and save. Head up when you're ready for the real boss fight.

Mindread him in the conversation. When the fight starts, simply concentrate on the demon Razakel. Since you chose option 1 all the way through the conversation, your lady friend will heal you. This will make the battle fairly easy, as you can just pound on the demon until it dies, the other boss will die then too. Loot them both and then after some scenes, you'll have control again. Head into the battle tower door (opposite wall of the throne). Head forward for a scene. Press start immediately and any armor pieces you have in your inventory. Put Dragon Shield and Dragon Spirit each to a quick-slot. This is your first real dragon fight. cn_LT locks onto enemies, and cn_RT breathes fire. You have a fireball mapped to cn_Y already, and the shield and spirit I told you to quick-slot provide a small HP shield and some healing, respectively.

These are easier than they seem, as towers will almost never hit you so long as you keep moving erratically. They try to lead their shots, so if you're flying back and forth then the towers will have trouble hitting you. Of course, if enough towers are shooting at you, you are bound to get by one. So, if you're taking too much fire, back off and heal up, and remember to use your shield whenever it's up to help keep you alive. Your first objective should be the 3 nest towers that have claws at the top, they continually spawn enemies. From here keep destroying ballista towers until an achievement unlocks and the level ends.

You'll get a scene, and then you'll be back in your battle tower. Now the game gets a little more interesting. The battle tower has 4 platforms - Alchemy, Enchanter, Necromancer, and Trainer. The Enchanter allows you to enchant weapons and armor. The Necromancer allows you to buy stuff for your creature and change it's body parts, though we don't really need it. The Alchemy platform allows you to make potions that do a lot of things, and officially makes the game stupidly easy. Using the runners our lady friend introduced us to, we can get infinite ingredients and make all the healing potions we want. The trainer is the most important, as Hermosa allows us to increase the maximum possible skill level for our skills. Lastly, each platform owner has a few quests you can do that provide upgrades to the platform's uses. For example, upgrading the alchemy section reduces the amount of ingredients you need to make potions.

Feel free to wander around, use the door behind you and go to each platform. Mindreading each platform owner will provide a skill point, and each platform has a dragon skill book lying around that will provide a dragon skill point. Get the skill points and check out each platform. To make this easier, slot the dragon stone to a quick-slot (I use cn_right) and the dragon morph stone for later (I use cn_up myself). You can use the dragon stone to instantly teleport to a different platform, and you'll also get an achievement.

To take the quest for each platform owner just choose the option that goes something like "do you need something to..". For Hermosa choose option 3 though. Using Hermosa and Wesson, you can upgrade the weapon/armor for Harry, and you should do so. Lastly, there's a special chest of sorts we can open. Get the key from the alchemy garden, then open the chest in the Necromancer ring, Trainer station, and then the chest at the Enchanter area for the loot. From here go to the throne room and head to the elevator behind the throne. Open the chest here and take the scroll on the table by the bed for an achievement.

The coffer chest is your storage. Sassan is here (mindread her for a skill point), and can be used to buy and sell. The scraggly looking guy in the Necromancer ring sells body parts and can also be sold stuff to as well. If you need potions, use Harry to get what you need. Ginseng is required regardless, and you may need other ingredients depending on what better potions you have. In order to get your stuff, simply leave the tower with the shrine, then use the dragon stone to return here and talk to Harry. You have to make sure you wait a few seconds for Harry to leave before you go back to the world. Repeat until you have enough potions. Note that once you've left the tower the first time, you can teleport between the tower and wherever you are in the world with the dragon stone. Don't go too crazy though, as we upgrade the platform we need less ingredients to make potions, so wait until later to make a ton. For now just make some. You can head to the battle tower from almost anywhere in the world, so if you run out of potions you can fix it immediately. You'll get an achievement the first time you send a runner out too.

  • On the Run

You have sent one of your runners on a mission.

Offline Mode - These achievements require play in game modes that do not necessitate a connection to any online services.Single Player - These achievements can be obtained by a single player.

For now, use the shrine to head to Sentinel Island via the battle tower shrine. From here follow the path up to a clearing, then use the dragon morph stone for an achievement.

Kill any enemies or towers to the east of your battle tower, then head to the southeast corner of the island to find a ship on a branch. Head below deck and open the chest. Put the dragon morph stone in a quick-slot in dragon form and then use it. If you can't find a big enough space, save (in case you fall) and then jump out onto a branch, then use it.

Map

Head to the northeast corner of the map, about even with the top of the island, and look for a little raft by a rock. Check the body for a book to get an achievement.

Drop down by the shrine and talk to Turgoyn nearby and choose option 2 to finish a quest. Head back to the tower. Do anything you want to do, as we are heading to the next big area of the game. A good idea would be to use Hermosa to increase the max skill level of some of your skills. If you have plenty of money, you can upgrade them all, or save your money, though there aren't a lot of uses for it now that we have runners. You'll get an achievement after the first skill is upgraded.

We'll now move on to the last landmass of the main game. Head to the next page for the walkthrough of the Orobas Fjords.

Once you're ready, head to a shrine and go to the grand knight shrine to proceed, you'll get an achievement.

As an aside before I go further, this area is basically a ton of cliffs with a ton of "islands" on them. Little platforms on the cliffs that you can land on. You'll be doing a lot of flying as a dragon and things are at different altitudes, so for this reason giving directions is a struggle. If you look at the map, you'll see the cliffs are represented by brown, and the little "islands" on the cliffs are a light uh..tan color. If you are having trouble finding what I'm describing, look for these islands on the map to help you find what I'm talking about.

If you take the path up you'll find Crabbe, who gives a quest. Follow the path down to find a bunch of enemies that give a ton of experience. At the bottom head to the beach across a bit of water to find more enemies to kill, and 2 ladies near the end. After the conversation turn into a dragon.

Map

If you look at the map you'll see some anti-dragon zones south of you. These will kill you if you go into them. Kill the enemies and towers inside it with your fireball and breath. If you look above the northeast of the 3 anti-dragon zones, there is a teleporter (1), use it. Save and then climb the ladder nearby, both enemies are level 21 but shouldn't be too hard at this point. Once they are dead go up the stairs.

You'll find 2 people who will become shops, but more importantly 3 switches. Use them all to drop the anti-dragon shields around here. If you like, you can go down to the beach below this place and get the key, then let the girl out of the cage where you fought the 2 bosses and then open the chest on the top floor with the 2 shop people. You'll see an actual island with a big tree south of the shrine, head east of it to find another teleporter on an island (2) about half way up the cliff. Here you'll find Simeon. Option 1 all the way through for an achievement.

Before we go any further we'll take a bit of a detour. From the island with the 3 switches, head straight east to find a big castle and a harbor with anti-dragon shields on them. We want to get to the harbor (3). The simplest way to do so is fly as high as possible, get as close to the castle as you can without dying (between the 2 lower anti-dragon zones), and then morph into a human. You'll drop relatively close to the harbor. On the east side you'll find an elevator, ride it up. Take the quest from Zeppelin Master Page AND IGNORE THE TELEPORTER. It's a one way trip back to where Simeon is. Now go back down and enter the door to the Champion Harbor nearby. To the right you'll see a walkway, take the ramp up to it and take the quest from both guards at the table, and the last 5 bounty hunter quests from the noticeboard nearby. On the other side of the ship in here you'll find Morgan wandering around, talk to him. Aurelius is also in one of the houses near Morgan, talk to him for a quest. If you're interested in that chest lying out in the open, the gated area has a key sticking out of one of the pots.

Head to the training arena back home and talk to Hermosa (option 3) to finish her first quest, then talk to her again and take option 3 to get the next one. Head to the throne room and head to your chambers. Talk to Sassan when you have finished a platform operator quest and choose the option for the platform in quest to finish upgrading it. You need to do this for every upgrade, so keep that in mind. Use the shrine to head to the Fjord shrine again.

Map

Compass

Crystal

Rudder

First off let's get all the Zeppelin parts, refer to the map to find them. They are always in nests that look like bird nests, typically with what looks like broken parts of a zeppelin hull in them. See the pictures below the map for the 3 things you need 3 of. Note that near the bottom of the map in the hostile city you'll come across a boss that attacks you that is fairly strong, ignore the base and just fly past it to get the rest of the parts. Don't turn the quest in yet, a lot to do before that.

Map

Head east from the island with the 3 switches to find the Dark Cave (1) at about the same elevation. Follow the path (get the key) to find Sura and some enemies, she will drop a key when killed, take it. Head east at the fork, then hit the pads at the dead end in the following order : 3,1,4,2. 1 is the one closest to you (western-most) and 4 is the far east one. Head back to the fork and go west. You'll find Ragon here, mindread him and then kill him. If you mindread him, you'll find a tiny gold bag in the dead end with some potentially amazing loot. You'll see some gold statues, use them until they don't move anymore. A book will appear, take it. There's also a dragon skill book on one of the tables where Ragon was. We're done here.

Outside, head to the Depleted Ore Mine (2). To get there, head straight north from the Dark Cave and then down to the beach, you'll see the mine. When you get close you'll get a conversation with Lister, mindread him for a skill point then head inside. Inside, head east at the big fork. You'll find Alutiq at the bottom of the stairs along with a bunch of goblins, kill them all. In one of the 2 dead ends down here is a chest with Wesson's Goods, make sure to get it. If you're interested, the west path takes you to a rather obnoxious jumping , and the south section leads to a puzzle. Both give meh rewards, up to you whether you want to bother. Just a chest. Leave when you are finished.

We can bag 2 of the other bounty hunts easily. South of the harbor (but before the city) you'll find 2 islands, pretty close to the ocean, with Alrik (3) on the west side near some huts (the island has 2 "levels"), and Moor (4) on the east by a teleporter, kill and loot them both. South of the city you'll find a cave called New Miners Dig (5), enter it. It's close to the water, just before the path narrows again, on the east side. Inside, head south to the fork. West has more enemies, east has the ultimate creature boss you need to kill. The enemies here are 23 and the boss is quite strong, I would save before going too far into this cave. Once it's dead head back to the battle tower. Talk to the other 3 platform owners to turn in their items, Also remember to talk to each of them to get their 2nd quest. The 2nd quests cannot be completed until we tackle the flying fortresses, and that will require some more leveling before that can be done.

As an aside, when the Enchanter platform is upgraded, you get a choice. For the enchant station you can choose whether weapon/armor/jewelry gets the upgrade, I always choose weapon. Return with your dragon stone and leave the cave. Head back to near the Broken Valley exit. There's 2 waterfalls on the cliffs here, fly above the southern one and follow the path to find the Sinister Cavern (6). Follow the path inside to a lava pit. You need to turn into a dragon and enter the teleporters to remove the shield from Barnabus' platform. Head down to the bottom of the pit to find a teleporter on one of the little islands. Inside go east at the fork. As you can probably guess, the lava hurts, though it isn't instant death. Jump across the platforms to the end, then jump to the platform with a ladder and climb it. Walk onto the moving platform, then jump to the switch and use it.

Drop down and head into the teleporter. Jump across the moving platforms to the ladder on the south side and climb it. This next part is fun, you need to jump to the stationary platform to the north, but it starts falling once you do. So you have to jump on it and then on the moving one north of it immediately. You can jump on the next moving platform at your leisure, then to the stationary platform for a chest and then enter the teleport. You'll want to save now. There's a platform below you in the northwest corner, jump on it and another will appear below you. Do it again and hit the switch. Drop down to the platform from the scene and leave. You can now reach Barnabus, slay him for being annoying. We're done here.

Head to the champion harbor. Turn in all the bounty quests, and you'll get an achievement.

Talk to Page on the top level to finish his Zeppelin quest. Nearby is Sepp, talk to him and choose option 1 to go to Aleroth for an achievement.

After the scene you'll regain control. Follow the path north to find a small elevator, take it up. Follow the path to a scene. Talk to Augustus at the stairs in front of the temple. Mindread him for stat points. Now use the nearby shrine to enter the ministry. Head to the middle of the area for a quest to start. You have to protect the wizard from enemies. You must follow him as he walks around and then kill what spawns. He needs to go 15 seconds without getting hit to close the rift. Amusingly, if he gets hit but doesn't finish the dialog before the time counts down, you still close the portal. The best thing to do is stick close to the wizard and try to body block the enemies. Attack them to get their attention. You can also try using explosive arrow to knock enemies down. Once done talk to the wizard and mindread him for skill points. Repeat for the rest of the rifts. Once they're all done, talk to the wizard for an achievement.

  • Shielded

You have obtained the shield that will protect you in the Hall of Echoes.

    Shielded

Leave via the shrine. You should be 26 or close to it by now, so we can attempt the fortresses. Before we attempt them, it would be a good idea to upgrade any equipment we have. There's a trader in Aleroth, one in the hall north of the cliffs in the middle of the river split, and Sassan in the tower of course. Life Leech, Butchery, and Physical damage are all good weapon enchant slots. Life line and ranged/melee/magic protection in any armor slots, and health regeneration in the jewelry slots is probably the only enchant that is good. Make the best potions you can. Also put charms in any charm slots. If you haven't enchanted and/or put charms in an item, you'll get 2 achievements now.

Map

One thing we'll do real quick to get a nice weapon and an achievement first, though. Head to the Mysterious Cave (1), west of the champion harbor. If you look west and a tiny bit north, there's an alcove with an island on it, that's the cave. Save before going in. You'll come across 3 situations, and for an achievement we want to choose all good or all bad. All bad gets us a nice 2 handed sword (the good version is nice, but not quite as strong), so we're doing that. We also have to give up some stat points for the good path, so there's no point in being a good guy here. Option 2 in the first choice. Take the key in the 2nd room and choose option 2 again. In the 3rd room, flip the switch called death. You'll get an achievement once you reach the last room.

  • Saint or Satan

You have shown you are either utterly good or evil in Bellegar's cave.

Take the Sword of the Damned One (or a different weapon if you're not using a two-handed sword) from the stand and then leave via the teleporter. We might as well do one last thing now. Head to the cave almost directly southeast from Stone's Fortress portal to find the Imp's Lair (2). It's a trapdoor on a small island lower than Stone's fortress. Fight your way through the enemies, one will drop a key for the door. Enter the door and kill everything, then approach the guy in the cage. Mindread him for an achievement and then we're ready for the fortresses.

One last note before we start the fortresses : There's an achievement for acquiring a full equipment set, and there's a set that can be collected from mindreading and killing certain fortress bosses, so make sure to do so when I mention it. Also equip the pieces of the Ulthring set as you get them, as it's likely the best thing you'll have found in the main game. You get extra bonuses the more pieces you equip, so each piece gets stronger the more you have.

Map

As a general rule, the fortresses work like this : first, we destroy all the towers so they won't bother us. Then, we'll land on a certain platform that has a teleporter to the boss, or the next area. Then we'll kill the boss/es and move on to the next one. Let's try Stone's first. The portal to his fortress can be found where the river splits. On the east side of the cliff in the middle is the portal. Your first objective is destroying all the towers (nest towers first of course) outside of the anti-dragon zone. You'll see lightning and wizard towers in these fortresses, they can hit you much more often than the ballista towers can, so they should the next priority after the nest towers. Remember, keep dancing around and they'll rarely hit you, though you have a shield and healing if you need it. After you've cleared it all out, you can land on the various platforms for experience from enemies and treasure, but your main objective is the highest platform without a anti-dragon shield, and the teleporter on it. You've seen them before many times throughout the game. Inside, you'll find a bunch of skeletons to fight. The east alcove has a treasure chest with a dragon skill book, but a fireball trap will spawn after you take it, so be ready to move out of the way. The southern exit is where we need to go, though save before you go into it.

Xanloch awaits, mindread him so he drops the gauntlets we need, then kill his pet and then him. Loot them both and then hit the generator behind him to drop the anti-dragon field. Head to the teleporter at the top of this platform to go to the next area. You'll find Stone straight ahead, be sure to mindread him. Stone is quite strong, and you should absolutely kill the other enemies before even trying to fight him. Stay healthy with potions, then focus him down once his peons are dead. Before he dies he will run. Head to the eastern dead end and take the 3 jewels on the pedestals, then use the control panel in the back. Now head back to the room Stone was in and go in the teleporter. You'll have to face a ton of enemies and 4 bosses to fight Stone again, but all of them are much weaker than Stone. Once you've killed Stone loot his body and leave. If you're having problems beating Stone, feel free to go back to his fortress and clear it out for more experience or perhaps even skip to the next fortress, or go back to Fjord and do some other quests or something. The good news is Stone is probably the hardest fortress boss despite his comparatively low level, so it's all downhill from here. You can explore the rest of the area if you like after beating Stone, but we're done here.

Next up is Keara's fortress. The entrance is just south of the champion harbor's southern-most anti-dragon shield, rather close to the anti-dragon shield itself, not far from the sea. Inside do the same as the last one, destroy all the towers. Once they're gone, the second highest platform has the teleporter you need. Inside you'll find Keara, and a ghost. After the conversations here's the deal. There's 5 statues, you need to properly name them. They all lie, and if you like you can figure it out yourself. Or not. Just ask for the clue, and then use the list down below to name them properly. Note there is a shit ton of enemies in this area, and they will respawn if you fail, so make sure you get it right!

Straight ahead from entrance : "Mayhem is not in the same room as Havoc" Answer is Devastation.
Southwest corner of map, statue along south wall : "I am neither Chaos, nor Havoc" Answer is Havoc.
Southwest corner of map, statue along west wall : "I am in the same room as Waste" Answer is Mayhem.
Northwest corner of map, on the left of the teleporter : "I am neither devastation or chaos" Answer is Waste.
Northwest corner of map, on the right of the teleporter : "Mayhem is alone in his room" Answer is Chaos

Enter the teleporter between the last 2 and then go in the door ahead. Save as the boss battle awaits. Follow the path north. Now kill her, even though she's quite durable she does less damage than Stone, and should be easy. Leave once she's dead.

Our next fortress will be Raze's. It is just west of the champion harbor, on a cliff very close to an anti-dragon zone. You'll find the teleporter on the highest platform. Head inside and follow the path to 3 rooms, the far east one has the key you need. Follow the path to the stupid boss (make sure to mindread him). There's 2 pods helpfully shown in the scene, and a switch by each of them. The switch turns off the pod. If you damage the boss enough he goes below half health, he heads to one of the pods and heals completely. In order to beat him, you have to get him close to half, pull both switches, and then burst him down before they are up. It'll take as few tries, because along with this shitty gimmick, he continually spawns a bunch of the armor enemies that will constantly swarm you, body blocking you from the switches and stunning you. However, with Battle Rage you should be able to do this fairly easy. Remember to spam explosive arrow since it'll take out the armors and give you a bit of breathing room.

The second to last flying fortress is Kali's. The entrance is at the far south of the map, south of the harbor and south of the city with catapults that attack you. You'll spawn right by some towers, so be ready as soon as the loading screen ends. As usual, clear the place out and then head to the southern island. The teleporter is on the top platform as usual. At the first fork head west and east to find switches you need to hit. Now go south past the next 2 dead ends and then go east to find a chest with a key. Then return to the last fork and go west. Enter the locked door for a boss, mindread here. After you beat the easy boss, you'll get an achievement for having the last Ulthring piece.

Map

We have one last fortress to tackle, but it isn't marked like the other 4. To reach it, use the northwest exit of the Fjords that leads to Broken Valley. Our first objective is a bit northwest of the scroll icon on your map, it's the mine tower and it's on a small platform. It's north of where Viper and Yupik were. Enter it and kill the 2 bosses, then head upstairs and loot the chests and talk to the guy at the top. Also get the key on the table near him. Enemies will spawn, kill them. If your allies die, it's alright. Once you're done, leave and head to the scroll icon, enter the door. Note that inside there's a ton of enemies, and a lot of them can stun you, so make sure to save just in case.

Inside head to the far south path to find a lever handle in a chest. Next head north to the 4 way fork. Head east to find Amon and kill him for a key, and explore the path to the end (there's a key by the door, get that too). From here head back to the fork and go north to find a demon, kill its peons and then kill it. Once you loot the sigil from it, you'll get an achievement.

You can head north for some chests and a teleporter out. Leave, but we aren't done in Broken Valley quite yet. In the northwest corner of the map you'll find a teleporter to a boss where Maxos Temple was, mindread her and then kill her. Behind where she started will be a chest with some formulas in it. Leave and head to the northeast corner, where the village was. On the south side of the highest platform is a teleporter, enter it. Head east at the fork for the boss, mindread him (again, a small chest will be behind where he started). You'll get an achievement.

Map

On with the story. Head to where the Broken Valley entrance is. There's 2 waterfalls along the eastern cliffs, walk into the northern one and you'll find a cave. Follow the path to the elevator and go down. At the fork go south for a dragon skill book, and then go back to the fork and go west and use the dragon statues for a quest. Leave and head to the little actual island south of the Broken Valley exit, with a tree on it. Talk to the tree, then kill the imp near the tree on the other side for an achievement.

Talk to the tree again. Next tree we need to visit is north of Stone's fortress, on an island a bit higher. After talking to him, 3 wyverns will spawn, kill them in dragon form and talk to the tree again. The last tree is near Keara's fortress. If you follow the cliffs south you'll find the tree on an island much higher than the portal. When you talk to this one it will give you a riddle. There's are 3 possible questions, and he only asks one. Here's the possibilities and answers.

"It eats tales..." = Bookworm
"It swings by his thigh..." = A key
"Strange creatures..." = Amphora

Now head back to the dragon statues in the waterfall cave. Use each of them and then enter the door that opens behind them. Once you enter the room immediately turn left and head to the wall. Turn right 90 degrees, then head north and then west, and then north again to find a small chest. Before you open the chest, note that once you loot it a bunch of fireball spewing traps will activate, and they do splash damage, so be careful. Once you've looted it, head north to find a stone table with a spot to put the lever handle in, use it and then use the lever. Follow the path for an achievement and a scene, mindread your conversation partner for some dragon skill points.

We're now going to the point of no return. If there is anything at all you want to do, now is the time. If you're playing DKS, you'll have access to the battle tower in the expansion, so don't worry about that, and the expansion starts as soon as you finish the main story, so no need to worry about clear saves or the like. Any quests or caves or whatever you want to do though, now is the last chance to do them.

When you're ready, you'll find the hall of echoes south of Keara's fortress close to where the tree was. If you look at the map you'll see a break in the cliffs here, near sea level, the portal is there. Approach it and use the note from Maxos. Using the door will start the end of the game, and get you an achievement.

Kill the enemies and follow the path to the orb, and head into it. Head forward and mindread during the conversation. Continue forward and you'll reach an arena. You can mindread most of the bosses for skill points. Simply kill the boss, ignore the smaller enemies. The next boss will come, mindread it, repeat. Once you've killed them all use the portal on the east side of the arena. Head into the orb again. This is the final boss fight. The 2 obvious bosses should be left for last, as there are quite a few peons to kill. After they are all dead, concentrate on the melee fighter, then the healer last. The healer will heal himself quite a bit, all you can do is just keep pounding away until he goes down. Once h is down, you'll have a long scene and then an achievement, and another scene.

You'll be done with the main game now. Head on to the next page for the Flames of Vengeance expansion walkthrough!

Alright, so a few things to talk about before we dive into FoV here.

-You can only head to the throne room of your battle tower via the dragon stone at the start. However, once you do the rest of the battle tower opens up. Platform operators and your runners are still here and nothing has really changed.

-Mindreading costs a shit ton of experience now, and there's one quest we need to do for an achievement that costs 10k+ experience eight times. As a result respeccing to put points into mindreading is a good idea. With it fully maxed, mindreading costs no experience at all. This is fine, thanks to the next point...

-You get a TON of skill books, 1 for almost every quest you do. You'll be running out of things to put skills in by the time you're done with the expansion.

-If you look at the map, you'll see light and dark areas. There's actually 2 "floors" to this place and for some reason they're not split up on the map. Following the text is generally going to be easier here. In this case there's no zooming in on the map, so I'm simply going to include one picture with everything. Open it in a new tab and go about your business. After 9 I start using letters to make it a tad less cluttered.

After a bunch of scenes you'll regain control in a new place. Here in this market square, you'll find stalls with a bunch of sweet stuff around, including much better (though quite expensive) weapons. One goal you should have throughout this expansion is getting money to buy the weapons if you don't have it now, and eventually the armor if you like. The set we have now is good enough to get us through the expansion, though. Our first objective is the Prancing Seahorse, on the west side of the city. Exit west out of the shopping plaza and follow the path south, one of the first buildings is it (1). Head up to the top floor and use the pedestal, then give the password (168) and go inside. After the conversation you'll have another conversation and a bunch of finished quests. Look for the spell and elven alphabet book in one corner of this library and pick them both up. From here leave and head south to find Heleon (2), take his quest. Continue south and then east following the wall on the right until you find a shrine, activate it. If you look left when facing the shrine (3), you'll see a small alleyway, jump up to it and loot the body, we'll need this later.

Return to the shopping plaza and take the south exit, you'll come to an elevator, take it down. Follow the path to a blockade (4). Further south is a shrine and a trapdoor right by it, use it. Inside you're looking for 5 vials that faintly glow blue. At the bottom of the stairs are a bunch of pots, break them until you find the key. There's 2 vials outside the troll cave door, and 3 inside the troll cave door, down the hall from where you found the key. Remember this place, we have to come back soon enough. Return to Heleon to finish his quest (go to the Lanilor Lane shrine). Now head back to the blockade (to Mardaneus Plaza shrine).

Approach the blockade. After the scene approach the tree, then read the elven alphabet book you have and talk to it again. Mindread it as well. You'll get an achievement.

Follow the path east to enter a new section, and then continue following the path northeast to find a wooden gate, and a burning house on the left of it (5). Save, then talk to the woman. Answer option 1 twice and then option 4. You have a time limit and the flames will damage you as you move around the house, so make sure you save just in case. Head inside the burning house. Go in the west door (on your left) and get the love letters on the table in the back of the room. Return to the previous room and go in the north door and up the stairs. Turn right and get the key behind the bookcase, then enter the east door and get the baby in the crib on your right. In the north end of this room is a small end table with a small chest on it, open it for the ring. You can head back downstairs and leave now. Back outside, talk to Claire for the achievement after the conversation and scene.

Opposite Claire's house is another house, behind it is a teleporter with a guy at it. He will summon 3 enemies and they are annoying as hell. They constantly knock you down and heal, but you should be able to survive just from the life leech skill. Explosive Arrow, Whirlwind and Rush Attack have a chance of knock down, so you can try doing that. Or you can just keep hitting them until they go down, and activate the shrine by them. Once they're dead, head into the alley going east, slightly south of the shrine. You'll find a guy being ambushed, kill the enemy and mindread the peasant during the conversations after you beat the enemy.

Head back to the Lanilor shrine, and head west and enter Taurus' house (7), it's on the north side of the street. From the door head into the west room and into the sewer trapdoor. Ignore the first fork and go north, you'll reach a 4 way fork. Head west to find a bunch of statues. Set them up in the following order, south to north.

Red
Blue
Green
Blue

A chest will appear on the way out with the key, pick it up and then head to that fork we ignored and go south. In the new place, follow the path to an easy boss fight, then loot him and let the girl out of the cage. Mindread her and answer option 2 in the conversation. Exit out the nearby door, and then leave the house. Make a save here. Go to Tom's house, which is just past where Heleon was and south of the Prancing Seahorse, up some stairs south of him. Talk to Tom twice and mindread him during. Now talk to Anne (mindread for points) and choose option 3, option 2. After the scene you'll have an achievement.

Now we're going to do a quest that makes us travel all over the town. You may want to put skill points into mindread and perhaps max it if you haven't already, as we have to mindread 8 10k+ minds to do this quest, but we need the achievement of course. If you pay to have the skill cap raised to 15 and put 15 points in it, you mindread for free. You can respec with the trainer, get the achievement, and then reload if you like. Or just respec again, since money shouldn't be too big of an issue.

Head back to Mardaneus Plaza (from now on MP) and head just north to the inn (8), and go inside. U-turn around the first turn and go down the stairs. Talk to Messalina, and mindread her, then choose the option about the coin. Next go to the Healer House (9) in the market area, it's southwest of the shrine. Follow the path to the stairs and go up to the 2nd floor, Bernard will talk to you, mindread and choose the option about the book. Talk to him again and take the quest, we'll do it later. Head into the Phoenix Inn (A), which is straight ahead once you exit the Healer House, and talk to Bedwyr. You'll need the enchanter room key behind the ghost, and then open the door on the 2nd floor. Mindread him and give him the wine. Return to the inn by the MP shrine and talk to Dr. West in the basement (same room as Messalina). Next up is Casca, who is by the barricade near the tree, she's one of the soldiers.

Return to the market and head south as if you're going to MP. You'll see Virginius standing by the stairs with another guard, just south of the Healer's house and Circle of Trust inn. Next up is Flora in the Phoenix Inn, which you are close to. She's one of the NPCs at the bar. The last one is Valeri, he's on the way to Lanilor Lane. If you don't remember where that is, go to the market, exit west with the path by the shrine. You'll see a button (B) on the left shortly after the path turns southwest, pull it (I think you need to do this to make Valeri appear). Talk to him and then give him the rune for the achievement.

We've one last missable achievement to collect before we finish everything, but it's quite a process. It has 5 parts, and only one comes from the main story. The other require doing an assortment of various side quests and other things. Head to the Circle of Trust inn (north of MP shrine). Head to the stairs going up (through the bar) and then mindread the guards and choose option 2. Head inside and then try to leave. Mindread and then kill the boss, then loot him and the chest for the first of 5 clues. You'll have a scene with an old friend, just kill all the monsters that spawn and move on. Every time you get a clue you'll have to fight enemies, just make sure you kill them before the time is up, which should be painfully easy for you at this point. Occasionally it seems to glitch though, forcing you to reload a save. Generally the autosave will do it, but make sure you are saving often just in case.

Now head to Lanilor Lane. Follow the south wall to Madam Eve's (C), it's just past the healer and guard arguing about burning bodies. After the scene and the conversation with Eve, head into room 101 and mindread the pig, then pick up the blade by the bed. Go further in to find room 102. Between the 2 beds in the back is a weird piece of flesh, grab it. Our next objectives are talking to Dr. West about the flesh (basement of Circle of Trust inn) and Gofannon about the blade (he's the armorer in the market area). After those 2 steps head back to Madam Eve's. Talk to Sheridan in the back and choose option 3. Head inside room 103 and pick up the dust on the ground, then show it to Eve. Leave and head west, then enter the Chez Chanelle (D) by the guy on the bench. Talk to Chanelle and mention the dust.

Now head back to Madam Eve's and use the pixie dust in room 103. Near the bed, next to the picture of the woman is a button, hit it. Go in the door under the bed from the scene. Note that there's some malachite veins here, they are rocks with green gems on them. You can get malachite gems from them (need for level 10 enchants) so you might want to make sure you check any you see. You can potentially get anywhere from 0-4 it seems, but 3 and 4 are incredibly rare. I'd be happy with 2. You can save/load until you get if you like but it's no strictly necesary, you shouldn't be having too much issue with combat by now anyway. At the fork go east. There'll be some platforms that appear/disappear and you need to get the chest in the corner of the room. There's some malachite veins in here. Head back to the fork and go west, through the door to a boss fight. Kill her and loot her. Head back to the fork and go south. You'll find a door and a pedestal on each side of it, use the pedestals to open the door, then head inside for another boss fight. To beat him, we need to use 4 graves and kill the enemies that spawn (the graves glow purple). Locations...

Middle of the southern wall
Southeast corner of room
Just west of where you enter, the plaque on the wall

After you've killed all 4 (one gravestone has 2), kill Jake and then loot both him and the chest that appears on one of the tombs. Make sure to talk to Eve to finish the quest. For the next clue we've already done a few of the quests doing other stuff, and only need to do 2. One is the one we picked up from Bernard, let's do that now. Head to MP via the shrine. Darvash is who we need to talk to, he's near the shrine, between the shrine and the barricade, sitting on the ground. Choose option 1. Now head down the path you took to Claire's house (south of the market). Once you go through the tunnel straight ahead will be the sewer tunnels entrance, down a short incline, head inside. Follow the path to the fork and go west. Kill the enemy, loot him, then go up the ladder.

Choose option 1 and then option 2. Now we need to head to Gula's house. His house is right by the Lanilor Lane shrine. When you teleport to it, turn left. Talk to the guard, then choose option 1 and then 2. Head inside and go up both stairs to reach a troll, after the conversation head back to Gula's dig. It's right next to the MP shrine. Head to the room we found the last 3 vials in and put the plate on the pedestal closer to the door, then return to Gula. After the conversation open the chest in his room for the 3rd clue.

Go to the Crow's Nest shrine. Right up the small hill will be a sewer grate thing that leads to the forgotten crypt, head inside. The beginning is simple, rush through the fire (it won't do much damage), flip the switch, kill the enemies, conversations with a troll. This repeats for a few rooms. You'll end up in a room with poison, jump on the platforms to find a switch. Go in the door that opens (it takes a few seconds to open) and then after the conversation go in the other door to find the wizard. After the conversations head in the door and prepare for a boss fight.

Forward and a bit to the left is a shrine use it. Take the stairs up and follow the path to the boss. The game points out the switches you need to hit. Start with the one east of you and simply follow the wall around to find the other 3. Once you use them all you can kill the Engineer, earning you an achievement. Also loot the body and the chest next to you for the 4th clue.

Now, you may remember we pushed a button to summon Valeri earlier, we need to hit 4 more to get access to the dungeon with the last clue. Head to Lanilor Lane, the first one is on the wall opposite the door to the Prancing Seahorse. Next head up to the market district shrine, go into that little alley right by it and push the button at the dead end. A plant is in the way. Go to the Crow's Nest shrine. Follow the path southeast of it and use the button by the water fountain thing, it's close to where we first saw Tom. The last one is on the same wall the sewer entrance is, at the end of the tunnel between MP and Crow's Nest, on the Crow's Nest side. Now head back to Valeri (between LL and the market). Now head to the dragon statue, it's just barely north of the Prancing Seahorse. Here's the answer...

Kitten
Totem
Totem
Maxos
Kitten

Head into the maxos shrine entrance. First off, head to the fork and go both ways, killing all the enemies. Then head back to the fork and go east, you'll see a button on the wall. There's 2 other buttons, 1 at each of the dead ends at the north and south forks. You need to hit all 3 buttons and kill all the enemies. Save before trying. Hit all 3, then you've got 5 minutes to kill the enemies, which is way too much for us, honestly. There's enemies on the way to both dead end switches, and in the hall with the other switch. Once you've killed them all you can go in the west door at the fork. You'll have the last clue, and an achievement.

All we have left is finishing the story, now. Though bear in mind there's 2 choices to make and each has an achievement, so we aren't done with missables quite yet. Head to the tree at the barricade to finish a quest, then head to Augustus in the Ministry (entrance is near the market shrine) and talk to him to finish another. Head to the source shrine. Head to where the boss was, and go straight forward and a bit left to the champion academy (E). Kill the enemies and head to the right of the stairs going up to find some stairs going down. Follow the path around the room (don't go downstairs) and hit the lever, then go downstairs and use the lever by the machine. Open the chest after the fight for a helmet. Put the helmet into a hotkey. When you equip the helmet, it screws up your vision, so putting in a hotkey means you can equip it when necessary and immediately remove it when it isn't.

Anyway, head back to the first room and take the stairs up, and go right. Follow the path to a big room. Equip the helmet and go straight forward to find a lever by a bed at the end of the room. Use the bed by the lowest platform to get on it, then jump up the platforms to take the orb. Return to the first room and go the other way at the split on the stairs. You'll reach a fork, go left. You'll see a hand with a colored...thing in it. When you equip the helmet, a different one will appear next to it. Make this clone the same color as the real one with the lever by it. Repeat for all 3. From where you come in it's green, purple, orange. Then take the orb from the altar nearby.

Now go back to the last fork and head the other way to find some pressure plates. Equip the helmet and hit them in this order : SW, NW, SE, NE. Take the orb that appears. As you go back into the main room again use the helmet, you'll see a pathway going up. Take it for another orb. Go down the stairs and take a right, use the helmet to remove the wall. Proceed until you see a big hole. Walk to the other side and then use the helmet. You'll see a platform. Jump to it, then the rock platform near it. Unequip the helmet and some other platforms will appear. Repeat this hopping back and forth equipping and unequipping the helmet as you go to get the orb in a cage at the top. Now that you have the 5 orbs, jump down the hole. There's a bunch of pads here, you need to put the orbs on the proper ones.

Shield = Blue Moon
Mountain = White Snow
Death = Moss Rat
Gold = Violet Blast
Snake = Fire God

Save and enter the shrine from the scene. You can't hurt the boss, just keep killing the minions until he leaves. Your objective is the far east room. You can explore and kill enemies for experience and loot but it isn't necessary. SAVE before going into that room though, as we have to make a choice here. Once you're there choose option 2, then option 1. After the scenes you'll have an achievement.

Reload your save when you regain control and go to the choice again. Choose option 2, and then option 2.

We're now about to start the very end of the game. Make any preparations you want before you go, though if you've made it this far with little issue, that will continue. When you're ready tell Augustus you're ready to start the final battle.

You'll see a health bar when you regain control, you have to keep the airship alive. This is a pain in the ass, but quite doable. First off, you have all your dragon powers at max level. You also have a skill called wrath of the patriarch. It's a fireball with a fairly wide explosion radius, so use it on clusters of towers, and use it every time it's up. After the first platform you'll be given the ability to have the zeppelin use an airstrike, make liberal use of this too. The general plan is to use a fireball and then your breath to take down towers, and summon a wyvern every single time it's up. The enemy dragons will die quickly just from your breath.

You will eventually reach a shit ton of platforms, and yes, there's no way for you to kill them all. Thankfully you simply need to do enough damage that the airship can get close and you'll get a scene. So, simply go crazy attacking towers and enemies and you should be fine. If it makes the final approach with more than half health, you should be just fine. After the scene you'll have the final fight, which is honestly a joke. Get it low enough to use fatality and then use it to claim victory.

Enjoy the ending, and the completion!
