Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Welcome to the walkthrough for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. This is the successor to Eidos Montreal's 2011 release, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. If you have played the previous title, this will feel very similar and you will be able to get a good understanding of the game's mechanics and story early on. Whether a veteran or new to the series, achieving 100% is very possible for all skill levels. While not a particularly hard achievement list, some forward thinking and character development is necessary to create certain opportunities for you to earn specific achievements. Additionally, there are a few crucial moments in the story that revolve around choices, which will represent conflicting achievement possibilities later on. No worries though, I will point these out and elaborate more as you progress in order to prepare you for earning a very achievable 100% completion. In addition to the story, there is a secondary game mode, called BREACH. This is an online mode that is briefly showcased during the main story and provides an additional challenge for gamers. You can approach the challenges as you see fit, but you will need to complete a majority of the levels to earn each of these achievements.

DLC: There are 2 Free Breach Updates, and 2 Story DLC's which cost $11.99 each (individually purchased), or $14.99 for both via the Season Pass

Breach Update (x2, Free)

More Breach achievements to work on as you progress through this secondary game mode, providing an additional Network, Nodes, Objectives, Community Challenges, etc. Simply put, more BREACH! These are fairly straightforward and relatively easy to earn. Some new achievements can be paired with natural progression in this mode, while others will increase your time played on Breach. Just keep plugging away on this mode and you will eventually earn these additional achievements.

System Rift ($11.99 or $14.99 for both via the Season Pass)

This DLC offers a separate short story that is set after the events of the main story. You begin with a basic setup for Jensen and are given a handful of Praxis to upgrade as needed to complete this mission. While the achievements are fairly straightforward, you will still need to maintain a no killing policy as you progress through this new area. Other achievements will be acquired easily as you progress, with the exception of two; Too Hot to Handle, and Murder He Wrote. One will require some side exploration to find several pieces of data to complete, and the other would be best accomplished with a prepared character build. While completely possible to complete without these upgrades, it will be increasingly more difficult to maintain stealth. Overall, this new story should not present a great challenge, follow the guide and you will be able to earn all the achievements offered from this DLC in a single playthrough.

A Criminal Past ($11.99 or $14.99 for both via the Season Pass)

This DLC offers a new story, a flashback of sorts, for Jensen as he reflects upon his first assignment with TF29. This story is a little different, as you will need to complete it without the use of your augments as you infiltrate a Prison for the augmented. If you have come to rely on your augments to succeed, this may be a bit of a challenge; especially considering the stealth and non-lethal requirements for certain achievements. However, this is completely within your skill set, just follow along with the guide and you should be able to earn all the achievements for this DLC in one playthrough.

To earn all story-related achievements, you are going to need to complete two playthroughs. I would strongly recommend taking the stealth/non-lethal approach to start, for three reasons. First, you earn the highest amount of experience by doing non-lethal takedowns, which will unlock more Praxis points; which is necessary for the Jack of All Augments achievement in one run to avoid partial run through. Second, melee takedowns allow you to control the environment better, using corner or cover takedowns can help move a body out of sight and remove the threat in one step to avoid a body being spotted and an alarm raised. Third, you can get the two harder achievements (Pacifist and Foxiest of the Hounds) out of the way so you can go into the hard playthrough with no limitations or worry about missing either of those achievements and requiring a third playthrough. Additionally, the hardest difficulty only allows you one save file, so there is not a lot of room for error. While completely achievable, it would be more practical to try to get them done earlier rather than later.

First Playthrough

Difficulty "Give Me A Story" - Easy

For this run, you should maintain an alarm free and non-lethal position while progressing through the story for the Foxiest of the Hounds and Pacifist achievements. You will be completing the main missions, side missions, and collectible gathering; all of which, when paired with some exploration, will help amass enough XP to earn enough Praxis upgrades to earn The Jack of All Augments achievement. Due to certain collectibles that can only be found during specific events, the decisions you make are critical in this playthrough; or else you will not be able to earn the Tablet Collector achievement. Secondary missions are essential for Tablet Collector as well, as two such missions will provide access to otherwise unobtainable eBooks. In addition, most side missions have an achievement tied to them for successfully completing them in a specific way and reward significant XP to level up. This run will also see the obtainment of several combat specific achievements in a unique way to both earn the achievement and maintain your non-lethal position. The final mission will also require a choice between two final objectives, which you will need to complete both within the time limit. This initial playthrough should result in the majority of achievements being earned, which will make the second playthrough (hard) that much easier and faster to complete.

Second Playthrough

Difficulty "I Never Asked For This" - Hard

This run should focus on mopping up the few achievements remaining. The two to note are Time Traveler and God Killer. This run will see that you choose the opposite option, Mission 10 or 11, from the first playthrough. You will also need to retrieve a story related item from North Prague before getting your augments reset. You should strive for this to be a fairly efficient playthrough, where you should skip side missions and avoid other objectives, or side tasks, that fall outside the purview of the main missions. While you will want to do some tasks to earn XP, so you can earn Praxis for upgrading skills, the goal here is to avoid most of the secondary stuff and focus on the main objectives so you can finish quickly. The only real difficulty about hard mode is that it only allows one save file (however, you can save as often as you want) and that it has a Permadeath feature. Meaning, you have only one life and if you are killed, you will have to start a new game; from the very beginning. There is a work around, if you are fast enough, in the event of a sudden death. Before you reach the reload screen, you can dashboard to the XBOX Home screen. Then load another game or use some other means to have the game load up from the main menu instead of jumping right into your current progress. Now, you can reload to your latest save point and continue. Regardless of how long it has been since your last save, it is better than restarting the entire game. It is highly recommended to reload a previous save if you are close to death, cause and alarm, or enter open combat; simply because the risk of getting killed is too great, and not worth the risk. Keep in mind, stealth should be utilized as much as possible, avoid risky actions, and SAVE OFTEN!

TIPS

CONTROLLER LAYOUT

The layout I used, was BREACH; therefore, there is a chance that some of the buttons called out may be different for you if using another layout.

ITEMS

Only a few items are worth holding on to. Hypostims, Biocells, Crafting Parts, and Hacking Software are things you should keep. The only Weapon you really need is the Stun Gun, and some ammo. This is the cheapest weapon to fully upgrade for an achievement, and is extremely efficient for incapacitating enemies; including those in an Exo-Suit and the final boss, just FYI. All other items, weapons included, should be sold for credits to any Merchant as they are not really needed.

HACKING, CODES & PASSWORDS

Most devices have a code or password that can, generally, be found by reading emails, pocket secretaries, or learned from other NPC’s. These are set, not random, allowing you use the established codes/passwords described in the guide, without having to find them yourself. I will write in ones that pertain directly to the guide, if there is one; however, you will occasionally have to hack a keypad or computer, or find an alternative means to get past the security. Hacking can provide additional reward opportunities from accessing datastores for XP, credits, or hacking software during a hack. You can also earn bonus XP for successfully hacking on a first attempt, so there is some benefit to hacking devices. Aside from the very first keypad, which relates to an achievement, use the code/password at your convenience. An additional note, hacking is considered a hostile act. Therefore, be sure that you are in the clear to prevent a Panic or possibly an Alarm. Additionally, failing to Hack a device will cause you to be locked out for a short period, and some devices will also trigger an alarm; therefore, you may want to save before each attempt at hacking, just in case.

STEALTH

What you need to know is that there are two variants of stealth to focus on; unseen, and no alarm.

Unseen relates to Ghost, the XP bonus and the achievement of the same name. This is a stricter guideline for the stealth bonus, but is somewhat misleading; as you can be seen and still earn Ghost. However, take careful note that if any red text pops up under the mini-map, such as Alarm, Searching, Panic, or Hostile, you have failed the Ghost criteria. This will happen if an enemy or camera see’s you long enough to have both yellow and red threat meters fill, if you pass through a laser sensor, if an enemy or civilian spots a body, if someone hears gunfire, a mine or grenade explodes within earshot, and if you fail (not all devices) or get caught hacking; just to name a few.

No alarm relates to the XP bonus Smooth Operator and the achievement Foxiest of the Hounds. This is the more lenient stealth criteria. For this, you can have most of the red text alerts pop up under the mini-map, just not Alarm. Essentially, you can have an alert of Hostile, Panic, and Searching as long as it doesn’t evolve into an Alarm. This generally means incapacitating the person that is threatened or searching for you; in doing so you should see “Updating…” flashing in yellow, then the alert will clear from the mini-map.

It is best to avoid any of the red threat alert notices as much as possible, to ensure that you earn Foxiest of the Hounds by the end of the game. However, per the achievement, you only need to adhere to the more lenient stealth restriction (No Alarm) for the entire playthrough. There are a few scripted events where an Alarm is sound, but you are not specifically the target and therefore will not affect your achievement earning chances. These instances will be called out in the guide so you are aware; but take note that you can quickly become the target, thus failing the achievement, during these events if you do anything considered hostile. The best way to know, in these instances, is to watch for the XP bonus to pop up once an objective is completed; or better yet, watch to see if someone is targeting or shooting at you. If you notice your health is depleting, you are likely being shot and have become the target of the alarm. If no XP bonus for Smooth Operator or Ghost pops up on the completion of a mission objective, then you likely were the cause of an alarm. In this case, or if you second guess yourself, just reload to a previous save and be more cautious as you try again. This is why saving often and over a few different files is helpful.

PRAXIS & AUGMENTATIONS

Augments are your skills, and are acquired by spending Praxis. You earn 1 Praxis each time you gain a level, and can find or purchase up to 20 of these kits throughout your travels; really 19, with one on the body of the final boss. You should have more than enough opportunity to earn enough XP, paired with the 19-20 Praxis picked up during your gameplay, to unlock The Jack Of All Augments achievement. You can earn enough Praxis to complete this feat, during your 2nd visit to Prague; as long as you limit your spending of Praxis and follow the outline below. You want to be sure not to overspend Praxis on secondary upgrades, because you will not earn enough to acquire every Augment and upgrade; therefore, you could potentially run short on Praxis needed to earn the achievement. Below is a list of a few augments that will be necessary to follow along with the guide, and the order in which they are brought up within. The guide is written with these specific augments in mind; so without them, and in the order described, you may have to deviate from the guide to reach or obtain the items/location specifically called out.

  1. ARMSRemote Hacking – All – 3 Praxis in total
  2. LEGSCybernetic Leg Prosthesis - Klipspringer Jump Mod – 2 Praxis
  3. ARMSCybernetic Arm Prosthesis – Optimized Musculature & Punch Through Walls – 2 Praxis
  4. BACKIcarus Landing – 2 Praxis
  5. CRANIUMHacking Capture – at least to level 3 – 2 Praxis
  6. SKINGlass-Shield Cloaking – Cloaked takedown Support - 3 Praxis in total
  7. CRANIUM Social Enhancer – 2 Praxis
  8. EYES - Smart Vision - 2 Praxis

Hacking Capture Lvl 4 & 5 might not be worth the cost, there are only a few devices that don’t have a code/password and you could use a multi-tool or other means to get through it; freeing up 2 Praxis for use in other areas. Fully upgrading Remote Hacking will earn a pair of achievements, provide additional opportunities to earn XP, and increase your ability to find alternative routes into secure areas. The Jump Mod, Optimized Musculature, and Punch through Walls augments are needed for collectible gathering; whereas the Cloak and Icarus Landing will help with maintaining Stealth and survivabilty. The Social Enhancer, Smart Vision and upgrade on the Cloak will provide extra XP earning potential, and are needed for achievements later on in gameplay. There are other helpful augments to get, that can serve as both progress towards The Jack Of All Augments and be helpful during gameplay; but are not necessary to follow the guide. These would include would include the first level of Hacking Stealth, Implanted Rebreather, and Quicksilver Reflex Booster.

There are several achievements related to combat and augments, which the guide will detail a strategy to save a handful of Praxis for use later on; to methodically earn each achievement. These achievements require fully upgraded augments, which make earning The Jack Of All Augments an impossible task in one playthrough, and these will cause you to miss out on the Pacifist achievement, if you do not follow this method. Following the method described is the most efficient means to earn the related achievements, and reduce the risk of missing other achievements. There are many beneficial augments, and your playstyle might dictate which are more useful to you. However, the list above should be the obtained when it becomes reasonable to do so, so you can follow the guide effectively. Just remember that you will eventually need to invest Praxis in the first skill of each Augmentation; and that every secondary skill you purchase for a given augment, will make earning The Jack Of All Augments that much harder. Therefore, saving Praxis at a point after acquiring those mentioned above, might be more practical to ensure earning this achievement, then you can assign the points after to better fit your preferences. If all else fails, you can always play through a partial New Game+ if you must, in order to reinvest augments acquired in the completed story; but that will increase how long you will have to play and is not necessary if you prepare ahead of time.

Here is a list of all the eBooks available, and the order in which the guide will collect them. This will mainly be used as a reference to help identify ones you may have been missed. Each category below references a page in the walkthrough, so you can search that page for a specific eBook. Following the guide is your best bet to avoid missing a collectible and having to search for it again.

The game opens with a cutscene discussing the current mission. At some point during the cinematic, you are presented an option for your choice of weapon; Lethal (Pistol/Combat Rifle) or Non-Lethal (Stun Gun or Tranquilizer Rifle), then Long (Combat/Tranq Rifle) or Short Range (Pistol/Stun Gun). This ideally should reflect your approach to the game's combat system for your playthrough. A Non-Lethal choice would be preferable for obtaining both Pacifist and Foxiest of the Hounds. Since I recommend trying for these two achievement on the first playthrough, I suggest taking the, Non-Lethal and Short Range - Stun Gun.

Once you finally gain control of Jensen, move forward, following the only path available to reach the objective markers. You can also loot the corpses for some credits and various other non-essential items (to sell later on) along the way.

When you reach the fan vent, duck through and continue through the vent to the right to reach a ladder. If you look up there is a body hanging over the edge on the next level up. On this body is a Pocket Secretary, which upon reading will provide the code for a keypad later on. Pocket Secretaries and reading emails is generally how you can learn the codes and passwords for locked doors, safe, computers, etc.

Continue on, following the path you are given, using your augments as directed along the way.

Once you reach a locked door, you will have to turn the power on to use the keypad. Activate the Circuit Breaker on the other side of the room to get it power, be sure to collect the Biocell on the table as well, save it for use at the end of the mission. Head back to the locked door while avoiding the electricity, which will kill you if you stay in it too long.

There is an achievement opportunity with this keypad. You are supposed to be introduced to Hacking; instead, enter the code 0451. This is an apparent Easter Egg in the Deus Ex Universe; there is no way of knowing the code otherwise, since it is not provided. Entering the code will unlock the door and your first achievement!

A Heated Combination

Enter a classic numerical code in the game's first keypad.

Once you’re through the door, you will get the first tutorial message. Accept the Cover Tutorial (1/3) and follow the instructions. When the tutorial is completed, exit it and use your new skills with cover to approach the two Jinn and take them out (non-lethally of course).

Behind the caged door (4801), at the end of the hall, is a large crate which you should move to notice the tell-tale sign of a weakened structure to punch through. Doing so will get you into the elevator shaft and provide some bonus exploration XP. This is why finding alternative paths or ways around obstacles, with a focus on remaining unseen, is generally beneficial for both stealth and XP gain.

Drop down the shaft to land safely on top of the elevator below, due to the Icarus Landing augment.

Once you get to the lower floor, the Stealth Tutorial (2/3) becomes available. Accept it and follow the prompts. Completing this will give you an idea of how to manipulate enemies to move from their position, move through an area unnoticed, or stealthily taking them out. I suggest you pay attention and utilize the information provided during this tutorial as it will be very helpful in the future. After the tutorial, move through the area and put what you have just learned to use.

Once you get past this area, proceed down corridor to the next room where the third and final tutorial will begin. The Combat Tutorial (3/3) provides a quick look at open combat; something you should hope to avoid throughout your gameplay, but follow the prompts during the tutorial to get an idea anyway. Then, once the tutorial is over, approach it more stealthily to avoid causing an alarm. Completing all three tutorials will earn you an achievement.

This area is divided into two sections, with a two story Penthouse on either side of a large Observation Lounge. Your goal should be to reach the second floor of the Northern Penthouse. Inside this room will be a total of four hostiles, two on each floor. The upper floor is where you'll find the Secondary Objective. Interact with the Signal Booster to complete the Secondary Objective. If you were alarm free and unseen up to this point, you should see an XP reward prompt a the top of the screen for Completionist and Ghost, unlocking an achievement upon receipt of Ghost.

Be sure to grab the first eBook here, as well. It is located under the satellite dish by the window.

  • eBook (1/75) TALES OF THE ARABIAN FRONT Political Review, Conrad Press

To the left of the eBook, the wall in the back should have some lockers, in one you will find another Biocell. Be sure to grab it, before continuing, to ensure success in the end scene.

Move through the next room, Exhibition Hall, to the door (0682) at the other end, and enter the Atrium for a cinematic scene.

This is the chapter’s finale and there are a few achievement opportunities to try for. Since you may miss them, if you are unlucky or not fast enough, it is a good idea to make a SAVE once you regain control of Jensen; which you can revert back to, in order to try again if you don't succeed.

Just note that there is a scripted alarm event during this scene; but as long as you remain hidden, you are not the subject of the alarm and it will not impact your achievement progress. Refer to the General Hint and Tips page more more details on Stealth if needed.

Express Elevator to Hell, Going Down

This is hit or miss, as far as it unlocking here; so if you get fed up with trying to get it, there is another, more consistent, opportunity coming up later.

With a SAVE file made, you will want to jump off the ledge overlooking the Atrium instead of taking the elevator. While falling, hold cn_B, or whatever button is necessary to perform an Icarus Strike, to slam into the ground below and knocking out the enemy here. Now this is the tricky part, take a few steps forward and towards the staircase on the right, then use the Typhoon (by default it should be cn_right). Whether or not it actually hits someone is arguably irrelevant. Once you can move again, take a few steps to the left, towards the left staircase, and use another typhoon. With some luck, you should unlock this achievement from either uses of the typhoon.

Land an Icarus Landing & Strike on foes and clear out the pack with the Typhoon. Just to make sure.

*** NOTE: This achievement is reportedly very touchy, as far as meeting the criteria for it to unlock or not. I had to retry this several times and I am not even sure if using the typhoon twice made a difference or if hitting a second enemy with the typhoon mattered or not. However, it did unlock for me doing it this way and I don't believe the Typhoon blast ever connected with a second enemy when it unlocked. If you followed the steps, and it didn’t unlock, give it a few seconds to be sure it is not a delayed response, then reload your save if you want to try again. Otherwise there will be another opportunity coming up, so just continue on. ***

Reload after trying for, or hopefully unlocking, the previous achievement due to the Typhoon likely resulting in an alarm. If you are being shot at, you caused an alarm but it's better to be safe than sorry.

The next achievement will require you to complete the main objective fast enough, so that the undercover agent, Singh, survives. You have about one minute (from the end of the cinematic) to complete the objective before he is killed. This is a rough estimate and may vary slightly depending on the difficulty setting. However, this should be more than enough time to reach the end, especially if you use Icarus Landing to drop down. The longer you take the more the sandstorm will hinder your ability to see clearly, so don’t wait around.

Get down to the bottom, elevator or Icarus Strike, then use the Glass-Shield Cloaking to run for the helicopter at the far end. You don’t need to worry about enemies hearing your footsteps if you are cloaked; while they will become suspicious, as long as you avoid running directly into anyone you will avoid an alert status and an alarm on your person. Despite the chaotic scene, the alarm is in general and not direct to you, unless you do something to become the subject; like run into someone or get caught attacking a hostile. Be sure to monitor your energy meter, as it will drain quickly. Use one of the Biocells you were directed to pick up earlier when you get close to running out of energy. This will prevent you from becoming uncloaked and subsequently spotted. Two Biocells should be more than enough to keep you cloaked during the time it takes to reach the end.

Once you reach the helicopter at the far end of the area, open the hatch at the front of the helicopter on the left side, then pull the battery to complete the objective and finish the level. To ensure progress towards the Foxiest of the Hounds achievement, be sure that you receive the bonus XP upon completion (either 200 Ghost or 200 Smooth Operator). If you were fast enough and Singh survived, then you will also unlock an achievement.

If you did not receive Ghost or Smooth Operator as an XP reward, then you were likely spotted in the final assault, so reload to the top of the Atrium and try again. Getting attacked (taking health damage) is an excellent way to know if you were spotted and an alarm was raised on you during open combat events like this one.

With the mission complete, you will have to go through a series of cinematic scenes before you will arrive in Prague to continue the gameplay.

A few reminders before you begin:

You will need credits, at least 20,000 now to purchase a pair of Praxis Kits, and another 20,000 over the later half of the game to buy two more. Other than those, credits are for the most part, useless; as you should not need to buy much of anything. Sell unused weapons (not the Stun Gun), ammo, and items (not crafting parts, hacking software, Biocells, and some health consumables) to Merchants to earn credits faster. Picking up a weapon that is already in your inventory will only add to ammo; therefore it is beneficial to leave duplicate weapons alone, returning to pick it up only after you sell the first. This is only to increase your credits early on to afford the two Praxis Kits, after that this becomes largely irrelevant.

You will also need crafting parts for an achievement. These can mostly be found by searching rooms and various containers, or can be purchased from a few vendors if you really don't want to spend time searching. The cheapest weapon to upgrade is the Stun Gun, costing 550 crafting parts in total.

The Stun Gun should always be kept on hand, as your primary firearm; and a stack of ammo. Non-lethal melee takedowns should be used when ever possible, with the Stun Gun providing a means of last resort and distance to take down a threat before getting spotted or causing an alarm. This item is increasingly important for taking down Exo-suit wielding units later on, and is the best weapon to use against the final boss, just FYI.

Also, it is beneficial to understand the Augmentation System, and ensure you do not overspend Praxis on secondary skills before earning The Jack Of All Augments. Please check the General Hints and Tips page for more info, so you can acquire this in one playthrough.

I try to avoid presenting the guide in a manner that is basically turn-by-turn directions but will occasionally have to be more descriptive in providing a direction and location. I will generally indicate the name of the building or landmark to reach, and will assume you can identify and reach these places marked on the map without assistance. Any specific name I call out, will be found on the map; and a direction (North, South, East, West) will be in relation to the map in the menu.

After a long introduction scene, you’ll wake up in Jensen’s apartment. Immediately look down at the floor, to find a hidden Stash in the floor boards.

When you are ready to begin your adventure, leave Jensen’s apartment.

You will exit to the 4th floor of Zelen (Poor) Apartments; on the other side of the building is Apartment 41, next to the stairs. Hack the keypad and enter the room to find an eBook on the kitchen counter

  • eBook (5/75) THE MACHINEGOD

On the floor below, enter the unlocked Apartment 32, there is a hidden Stash in the floor boards just below the window, which contains a Praxis Kit (1/20).

The next floor down (Level 2), is where you'll find the Black Market Dealer, Tars, in Apartment 21. Here is where you should sell unused items and purchase the 2 Praxis Kits (2/20 & 3/20) that are available, when you have enough credits (10,000 each). If you still need Express Elevator to Hell, Going Down, be sure to hold on to the Typhoon ammo. Behind the locked door (9002), directly next to Tars, is a weapon cache with a Laser Sight, among other items.

*Be sure to equip this to the Stun Gun, for achievement purposes.

Directly across from Tars, is Apartment 23. The level 3 lock will prevent you from entering through the door, but you can easily jump from the balcony to the window ledge and enter through an open window. Or return later with upgraded hacking abilities. Inside you will find an eBook on the kitchen counter next to the stove.

  • eBook (6/75) AN APPEAL TO BASIC HUMANITY Talos Rucker, PhD

Ignore the restricted Apartment for now, you will be coming back later for a side mission.

At the bottom of the complex, exit through the Southwest doors. In the alley, turn right to drop down into the sewers via the manhole in the corner. Talk to the woman in the grey hood when she is done talking, then talk to the other to receive a Point of Interest (POI). This is the start of a side mission which is needed for an achievement. If you skip talking to the women and don’t receive the POI from them, you can still pick up the mission, you just miss out on some XP. POI's are mostly unimportant, but they do reward XP for very little effort on your part, so they can be worth doing.

Once you get the POI, continue on through the Sewers to the left; the area to the Right has nothing for you until much later, so ignore it for now. At the end of this path is where the POI marker is leading you, to a man named Viznik. Talk to him and ACCEPT his request to start the side mission, SM02: Cult of Personality.

Use the Keycard on the nearby reader, to unlock the door and enter. What follows is a strange conversation with Richard, the cult leader. The only way to end this conversation is to INDULGE him, then ACQUIESCE when given the option. Once you are free to move again, immediately turn to the right; just past a poster on the wall, pick up the Crumpled Poster on top of a yellow generator, which progresses the mission. This is all there is to do for now, so retrace your steps and climb out of the sewer to the alley by Zelen Apartments.

Head out of the alley to continue on, you will likely run into a police officer at the end of the alley, who requests to see your ID. This plays to the bigger theme of the story, so you will likely have this happen a few times. No matter how many times you are stopped, it always checks out okay and you can continue, it’s just inconvenient.

After speaking to the officer, head South to Capek Fountain Station, where there is a heavy Police presence. Turn the corner to the North, you should see a Police Van parked under a balcony just before an underpass. Get on top of the van so you can jump and reach the balcony above. Enter the room to grab the eBook off the drawer in the back corner.

  • eBook (7/75) GLOBAL POLITICS REVIEW [2029 EDITION] Chapter 5: The Fall of the American Empire?

Drop down from the apartment and head North to The Velvet Rock landmark and the nearby Police Checkpoint. Before going down towards the Checkpoint, you will want to get on top of the archway you would have to pass under. Use the lift to the left of the structure to get some elevation, allowing you to jump up to the top. Use the ledge along the left (blue building) to reach the balcony of the pink building ahead, and head inside.

The place is a mess but the item to find is the eBook on the floor, under the painting of a bird(?) on the easel in the back left.

  • eBook (8/75) CONTEMPORARY ART REVIEW Augmented Artists

When you are done, drop down to reach the Police Checkpoint. You will be stopped by Permit Inspector Konicky at the security laser grid. He will make getting past, difficult. The first round of dialogue is irrelevant and the second will develop options to progress the conversation. You should PLAY ALONG, then ACCEPT; which will direct you to a Document Agent and start the side mission SM01: Golden Ticket.

***

NOTE: Choosing another dialogue path will require a bribe or instigate a fight, and either of these options will not initiate the side mission. Generally, you may be able to still initiate a mission, if you complete a later task in the side mission's established storyline. However, some missions will have to begin with the first task, so missing it will cause you to miss out on the entire storyline and the achievement for its completion. Additionally, starting the mission a few steps in will lead you to not earning all the XP available, which could be significant and increases the risk of not earning enough Praxis for The Jack of All Augments.

The dialogue choice between a bribe, fight, or advance the story, is a common set of options for conversations throughout the game. A fight will usually raise an alarm and void the ability to earn the Foxiest of the Hounds achievement. Whereas a bribe will get you what you need, but is costly and you will likely miss out on other objectives (therefore XP). While the conclusions to your conversation choices are fairly obvious if you read them, I will try to point out which options to choose and which to stay away from during conversations. However, having some common sense should help you determine which choices you should avoid and which to choose. Generally, be courteous and passive, not mean and aggressive, to avoid any undesired consequences.

***

Head to the new side mission marker for SM01, and speak to the Document Agent in the corner to the right. Select BLUFF, then SNEAK AROUND, to avoid a costly bribe or a fight. With the conversation over, climb the scaffold behind you to reach the balcony and enter the apartment directly above the Document Agent. You should find an eBook on the sofa-bed.

  • eBook (9/75) PER ASPERA AD ASTRA

Exit the apartment and use the ledges to go over the Document Agent and Thugs below, and around to reach the restricted area unnoticed.

NOTICE:

If you missed the Express Elevator to Hell, Going Down achievement in Dubai, here is another good opportunity to get it, as long as you have typhoon ammo in your inventory. If you don’t, you can craft some for 75 crafting parts.

If you still need this achievement follow the next steps, if not, skip past the next part to continue.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Express Elevator to Hell, Going Down (second chance)

Start off by making a SAVE file to revert back to, after earning the achievement or to try again.

You will want to get to the rooftop, opposite the ledges used to get into the restricted area. There is a pair of chimneys that will provide higher elevation, so climb up. Locate the two guards and wait for them to have some distance from each other. Then, jump off the chimney towards a guard, holding the Icarus Strike button to perform the maneuver and land below. When you crash down, one guard should be knocked out, while the other becomes suspicious. Quickly run towards him and initiate a typhoon blast within a matter of seconds from the Icarus Strike. With any luck, you will unlock the achievement, otherwise try again.

Since the typhoon blast likely has alerted the other guards, it is best to revert to the previous save file so you don’t ruin your chance at Foxiest of the Hounds.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Drop down into the restricted area when it is safe to do so, and head into the Konicky & Hracky Toy Factory.

Between the sets of security lasers, there is a security camera on the right; Glass-Shield Cloaking is particularly helpful here, but you might have to assign it to the Augmentation wheel if you haven’t used it yet. Standing just outside the camera's field of view, along the wall with the window, you can grab an eBook without being seen.

  • eBook (10/75) TOYS THAT KILLby Angela Gunn

With the eBook in hand, run for the door while cloaked, before your energy runs out. Be aware of the guard at the top of the stairs.

In the next room, crouch and hug the left wall to avoid the security measures and reach the Permit Inspector’s Security Computer.

SAVE before you attempt to hack this terminal, and DO NOT use the Password if you found it.

Once you begin hacking, you will notice that not all the nodes are visible, this is Fog Security. DO NOT use the hacking software, Reveal, to illuminate all the nodes. Instead, just attempt to hack the nodes in the blind as they become available, hopefully you can finding the correct path to the green Registry before you are locked out (Go Down and to the Right for the quickest path). If you are unsuccessful, you should have an idea on the correct path, so reload and try again. Once you are successful, you can deactivate all the security measures in the room and unlock the door to reach the Forger; and an achievement will unlock.

In the next room, run straight across to the opposite side of the room. On the dresser is another eBook.

  • eBook (11/75) A CITY DESIGNED FOR YOU!

Approach the Forger, Milena Epstein, at the computer for a conversation. Choose either dialogue option at first; however, when she asks for your help, make sure you INQUIRE then select I WANT TO HELP to continue the side mission.

With new tasks for SM01, you should leave. Leave the restricted toy factory and go straight ahead to a group of three Police Officers standing in front of a door leading into the Courtyard. Talk to the female officer in the middle, and select TURN IN DRAHOMIR. Select either option available to get her to act against the checkpoint guards. Despite the map indicating a Panic or Searching, you are not the target and no alarm is raised (against you); as long as you do not engage in the fighting or do something that is a hostile offense. If anyone begins to shoot at you, you are the hostile and an alarm will alert others to engage you in combat, so reload to a previous save file.

Enter the door here, to the Courtyard, and locate the eBook on a couch near a tree to the left.

  • eBook (12/75) THE JUGGERNAUT COLLECTIVEManifesto

Continue to the opposite end of this area to find a Dealer in front of a restricted area. When no one is looking, go through (or over) the gate and take out the guard, ensure the body cannot be seen by others in the area. Open the safe in the back corner, be sure to pick up and read the Pocket Secretary to start the side mission SM00: Neon Nights.

Leave the Courtyard and head towards the Police Checkpoint, entering the building to the West, Vincent Van Aug. In the basement you will find, Irenka Bauer. She is one of two people to talk to about their permits for SM01. You automatically enter a conversation with her and once it ends, be sure to grab the two eBooks before leaving. One is on the stage, you will practically be standing on it after your talk with Irenka.

Once you leave the building go through the now free and clear Police Checkpoint. Moving the bodies of the slain officers is a hostile act if seen, so just loot the corpses and guns but don’t try to move/hide them.

The building at the far end of this area, Radko Perry Campaign Headquarters, has an eBook on a table.

  • eBook (15/75) RADKO PERRY BURSTS ONTO LOCAL POLITICAL SCENE

Exit the campaign headquarters and notice the truck nearby. Jump on top of this then jump up to the balcony above. Loot the room and grab the eBook on the glass table at the center.

  • eBook (16/75) CHURCH OF THE MACHINEGOD

From here, you will want to get into the restricted area nearby. You can use the vent in here to get over the locked door or drop down and hack it.

***

This is the area leading you to Koller, who will get Jensen’s augmentations fixed, and advances the main story. It might be a good idea to save here just in case you are spotted. This area is full of enemies and provides an opportunity to earn quite a bit of XP by knocking them all out, and credits by selling their weapons (highly recommended). Or, you can simply avoid everyone and use stealth/cloaking/timing to run into the office unnoticed and reach Koller; but when you return, all the Dvali Henchmen are gone and you lose out on all the potential XP gained, your choice.

For this next part, I am going to simply point out the locations of the area’s collectibles. However, I will assume you have dealt with the enemies and this should not be mistaken for an optimal path to traverse the area with all hostiles still active. This will be written as if the area is already free of enemies.

***

If you are looking at the front of Koller’s shop, Time Machine Bookshop, to the right, in the back corner, is the locked delivery entrance (1984) to the Backstore. In the East side of this room is a pair of bookshelves, one of which is broken; there is a table nearby with the eBook, somewhat hidden by a folding chair leaned up against the table.

  • eBook (17/75) THE SOCIAL MONITORThe New Mystics

Go through the doorway to the main store front, and head up the stairs. Around the corner to the left is a pathway leading to an office, you will have to crouch under a few tipped bookcases and climb over another to reach a door. Inside, pick up the eBook off the desk on the right.

  • eBook (18/75) GLOBAL POLITICS REVIEW [2029 EDITION] Chapter 7: Crouching Dragon

Interact with the Mysterious Book (red), highlighted by the objective marker, and take the hidden elevator down to the Workshop.

Head in to meet Koller and receive an overview on your Augmentations. After learning about the new ones, he will offer you a chance to eliminate the extra power consumption; select ACCEPT when offered, to start the side mission SM04: The Calibrator. This item is what is required to get ahead of time for the Time Traveler achievement, but you will get this on the second playthrough.

You are also, automatically, given the side mission SM03: The Mystery Augs. This side mission offers no achievement but does provides XP for very little effort.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Be sure to check the General Hints and Tips page for which Augments to purchase and their priority in accordance to the guide. Without the few that are outlined, the guide might vary slightly as you will have a to find a different route to overcome certain obstacles, fair warning.

Whatever you do and how ever you choose to spend them, be sure to SAVE 5 Praxis. You will want to use these at a specific location in order to knock out several combat achievements at once. So, for now, keep 5 Praxis on hand until further notice. You do not want to disable any augments until after you earn these achievements as well, to be sure that none of the necessary augments are disabled when you want to use them for a specific achievement.

For reference, I had 13 Praxis by this point, without purchasing any. You are given 9 upon having Koller unlock augments, 1 was found, and 3 were earned from leveling up. Please refer to the General Hints and Tips page for an Augments outline.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One of the first priorities is the Remote Hacking augment, in the Arms section. This upgrade provides access to XP earning throughout the game and can allow you to access maintenance ladders, shut off gas in some instances, temporarily disable security like mines or cameras, and even completely disable other security measures, like laser sensors. This is very helpful to have, especially early on, and should be the among the first augments to get and fully upgrade. Once you unlock this initial upgrade you will get an achievement.

DO NOT deactivate any augments at this point. The extra power consumption for the time being will be negligible and you shouldn't even notice it. There is a hidden room behind a Painting of a man’s face near the elevator. Interacting with the painting will expose a vent, leading to a gas filled room. Check the right locker in this hidden area to find another eBook.

  • eBook (20/75) FLESH AND CHROMEParker and Linwood

With all the items gathered from down here, feel free to leave; the quickest route would be through the sewer tunnel and up the ladder to get back out to the area in front of the bookstore.

Return to the unrestricted streets of Prague, your next stop should be the Praha Mini Market.

On your way there, you will likely run into one of a few Security Drones that are flying around the area. With Remote Hacking fully upgraded, you can hack/disable the Security Drone. You must be complete this action without a failed attempt (a red X will indicate you missed). If you do have a failure, simply back out of the hack, let your energy recharge, and try again. If you see the earned XP “5 Flawless” pop up once the hack is complete, you did it successfully and you will earn another achievement. With both Edward and Irenka talked to, the side mission progresses.

Before you exit the shop, next to the vending machine near the door is an eBook.

  • eBook (21/75) GLOBAL POLITICS REVIEW [2029 EDITION] Chapter 8: Africa

Exit the store and head to Svobody Beer, near Zelen Apartments. Inside, grab the eBook off the bar counter.

  • eBook (22/75) NEW REGULATIONS FOR AUGMENTED CITIZENSUpdate 7.2

Go through the door in the back (1015) and head downstairs. There is another locked door (1015) down here, on the other side of it is a small table with another eBook.

  • eBook (23/75) THE NEXT THREE DECADESFall of an Empire

Return to Zelen Apartments now. You will have been able to amass enough credits to buy both Praxis Kits from Tars by now, if you made the effort to run dropped weapons back for sale instead of picking up duplicates for ammo.

Go up to the 2nd floor, to Apartment 22, to progress SM00. Go through the door (0310) or use the vent from the nearby stairs (between floors 2 and 3) to get though more discreetly. Knock out the guard and in the kitchen, under a case of beer on the counter, is a computer (dobranoc). Read the emails to progress the side mission.

Exit and head up to Jensen’s apartment on the top floor. Inside, interact with the remote on the coffee table to CALL SARIF, rewarding some XP and progressing SM03.

Once you have acquired all 23 eBooks thus far, progressed in each mission (main and side) up to the point of Travel To Cista Ctvrt (North Prague), there is nothing really left to accomplish in this part of Prague.

When you are ready to continue, head for the Capek Fountain Station and descend into the metro. Down on the tracks the area is segregated, with the “Augs” section at the far end. Interact with the monitor here and select Monument Station (the yellow/orange line) to head to the Northern section of Prague.

Immediately after getting off the metro at Monument Station, you should see an eBook on the bench just to the right.

  • eBook (24/75) THE SOCIAL MONITOR The Shame of Aug Ghettoes

Exit the metro station and around the corner at the top of the stairs is the Governmental Registration Office, for SM01.

The area here is restricted, and the two guards and a camera make it hard to get in unnoticed. Instead, move around the building to the West, until you see a white van parked against the back of the building. There is a vent above the van which can be reached with the Klipspringer Jump Mod.

Exit the vent into a small room in the back of the Registration Office. Avoid the camera and access the Security Computer (samithedog). Turn off the cameras then activate the Permit Station. Quickly, go up to one of the screens and interact with it to start. This is will initiate a countdown of about one minute and Jensen will contact the hacker, Milena. You will eventually be given a choice of who to help, Irenka or Edward, with about 10-15 seconds left. The choice is rather irrelevant, just be sure to pick one before the timer runs out. After making your choice SM01 will be complete and the achievement will unlock.

Head Southwest to reach a small reception area, just before a Restricted Area. DO NOT open the door here! Instead, SAVE your game.

This is where you will be using the 5 saved Praxis to earn most of the combat achievements. Having a Save will allow you to revert to a previous state, before spending these Praxis, so you can earn all the related achievements; and maintain your non-lethal progress when you continue. Additionally, there is a NPC inside that you do not want to harm, as he will have impact on several achievements in the future, once you continue the story.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Combat Augment Achievements

Instead of going through the door ahead, look up to see some pipes. Get on top of the pipes and go through the vent to a bathroom. Exit the other side carefully, to avoid a patrolling guard who may be sitting at the end of the walkway directly ahead of you. You will want to set yourself up near the door on the left, stay crouched to avoid being spotted from below. From here you can see a group of Dvali below, in the corner. This is the ideal place to earn most of the combat related achievements, and was the basis for saving the 5 Praxis. Make another Save here, so you can spend the Praxis on the needed upgrades, accomplish the requirements for an achievement, then reload this save to reclaim the Praxis to start over on another achievement.

Below is a breakdown of each achievement, starting with which augments are required and their cost. Below that is a quick excerpt on how to accomplish the feat and unlock said achievement. After getting all of these, the only other combat augmentation specific achievement needed will be Invisible War, which you will have to wait until much later in the game to unlock.

*** Needless to say, if you miss the opportunity or something goes awry and you don’t meet the requirement for the achievement specific criteria, simply reload and try again. Just remember, there may be a slight delay before the achievement actually pops up to notify you, even if you do meet the requirements. So, give it a few seconds if you believe you should have unlocked it before reloading, just to make sure.

Turn on the Focus Enhancement augment, then hold the assigned button for Nanoblade to let it charge up, once you see the reticle expand into a crosshair, it is completely charged. Aim the reticle at Otar’s head and let go, this should fire the explosive shot, exploding on impact and taking out the group of Dvali. ****! TASER FIST! (5 Praxis in total)

  • Arms – Tesla - Tesla (2), Dual-Arc Upgrade (1), and Quad-Arc Upgrade (1) Arc Distance Upgrade (1) – not required but will be helpful and is highly recommended

This one is tricky and is, by far, the most difficult to accomplish. The key word here is “Enemies.” The henchmen down here are not quite enemies, yet. You will actually have to be spotted and turn them hostile (red) before you hit all four at once with the Tesla. To make matters worse, some henchmen are slow to turn hostile and others will grab cover before the Tesla connects, causing you to miss.

There are 7 possible enemies in this room, split between both the upper and lower level. Therefore, you technically have 2 chances to hit four if you happen to miss one or more on the first try. However, their grouping and your ammo will likely be a problem. Therefore, I would say you really only have one chance, otherwise reload and try again.

I found it helpful to take out (stealthily) the three guards on the upper level, one patrols back and forth between levels. This way you can move around to the opposite wall near the DJ booth, above the group of 4-5 Dvali for a better line-of-sight and it will reduce their ability to take cover. Just before the wooden ramp leading down to the DJ booth, there is a small ledge on the other side of a guard rail; standing here offers an unrestricted view of the group below, which will help you target and hit all the enemies needed. Charge your Tesla, targeting the 4 Dvali (Otar included) by the bar. The bar maid will eventually spot you and raise an alarm once the threat meter fills. When she does, the Dvali will turn hostile (red dots on the mini-map), some taking a bit longer than others. However, this should still happen quickly enough that they are hostile, and you can release the charged Tesla shot, before they actually react by taking cover or begin shooting at you. If all four hostiles receive a shock, the achievement will unlock. Reload your save when you are done.

*Fair warning - this took me several tries, from various locations around the room and different angles, but the spot described provided the best result, consistently, for me. If you are sure that the blast hit all four, but received no achievement; it is likely that one was not yet hostile, so keep trying by working on the timing of releasing your charged shot.

It is strongly advisable to stop spending Praxis at a point later on, once you have all the guide specific augments. Opt instead, to simply save up until you can complete the achievement; then revert to a previous save to spend those Praxis on skills that would be more helpful to your playstyle. In the General Hints and Tips page, I added a section to include some other helpful augments that are not guide specific, but would be beneficial to get for both achievement progression and usefulness during gameplay. Just remember that it is important to not overspend Praxis on secondary skills within an augment tree. Since you cannot earn enough Praxis to unlock everything, choose wisely. Obviously, combat or lethal skills would be a waste of resources if you plan to earn the PACIFIST achievement in this runthrough.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reload the SAVE made in front of the casino door.

With the previous achievements unlocked, you do not need to save Praxis anymore. So spend them as needed, I would encourage you to refer back to the Augment section in the General Hint and Tips page to ensure you have the needed augments to follow along with the guide. Now, you can continue the story.

NOTE: Once you interact with this door, you will automatically engage Otar Botkoveli in a conversation. You will need to end it peacefully, for achievement purposes. This causes the area to lose its restriction and allows you free movement. This is helpful to avoid alarms, but does reduce your ability to takedown the Henchmen for XP. Since the area is no longer restricted, you cannot easily pull individuals away to stealthily take them down and out of sight from the others. If you so choose, try to thin out the patrolling guards before heading down to interact with the door and Otar. Just remember to leave Otar and Vano (the bald one leaning up against the bar and looking at the front door), unharmed and do not raise any alarms, or you will not get the conversation with Otar.

***

When you are ready, head through for a cutscene and introduction to Otar Botkoveli. This will be a long, drawn out conversation with key inputs needed to persuade Otar to give you what you want.

You will need to select the following responses in order to complete the objective peacefully and earn an achievement. They are STRAIGHT TALK --- COMPLIMENT --- STRAIGHT TALK

Finally, select ACCEPT to end the conversation peacefully, earning an achievement.

You are now free to move around in an unrestricted area. Be warned, if you are seen picking up enough items, it will become restricted once again and you will need to exit before getting attacked. Be sure to head to the upper level and pick up the eBook off the end table in the Southeast corner by the couch.

  • eBook (26/75) FAMILY VALUES

Also, do not forget to go into the office nearby and grab the Neuroplasticity Calibrator off Otar’s desk for SM04. When you are finished here, exit through the door you came in, on the lower floor. Return to the ladder around the corner to reach the street level once again.

At the top, you will be in front of two storage units. Be sure to open the one on the left (9356), belonging to TechNoir. Hacking software and a Breach Software are all over the area. In the back corner is a storage rack with a button that will open a secret wall leading to the front of the store. Inside, speak with the merchant, Costache, and select DO BUSINESS. Every time you interact with him, you will automatically turn in any new Breach Software found; providing a reward pack in BREACH MODE for every 5 that are found and delivered. Since these do not pertain to a specific achievement, I will not spend a lot of time pointing these out unless it’s nearby in your travels as we seek to pick up all the eBooks.

Next, you will want to head North, to Praha Dovoz. Go through the doors, all the way to the back, and interact with a Picture Frame to expose a Keycard Reader to take the elevator down to TF29 Offices.

-------------------------------TF29 OFFICES-------------------------------

Down here there are plenty of opportunities to hack for XP, various computers will open up as people move around so be on the lookout. There are 5 eBooks to get, as well as a few other items to find.

Once you get off the elevator, turn right and the first door will read Security Holding Cells. Continue through the metal gate and all the way in the far back of the holding cells, on a metal folding chair, is the first eBook.

  • eBook (27/75) U.N. RESOLUTION 3507 (2029)THE SECURITY COUNCIL

Get back out to the main area, and next door to the right is the Infirmary. Inside is a pair of Medical Boxes along the East wall. The top one, among the books, contains a Praxis Kit (5/20).

Exit the Infirmary and continue around to Forensics. In the small office in the back is an eBook among some books near the computer.

  • eBook (28/75) THE LONG MEAN WHILE Chapter 1by Daniel Fletcher

Exit Forensics, continuing right to reach IT Support, by the stairs. Inside, go through the locked door (5545) and pick up the NSN Keycard on the shelf to the right.

Exit IT Support and head up the stairs. At the top, you will be stopped by Aria Argento; who will provide a POI for the Shooting Range.

Afterwards, head to the left and enter the NSN Servers room. Go through the locked door (7734) and around to the right to the large yellow box mounted to the wall, where you will Use Whisper Chip.

Next, meet Miller in his office, which is the next room to the left. Enter for a conversation, then grab the eBook off the corner of his desk before leaving.

  • eBook (29/75) MODERN BUSINESS REVIEWHacks of Aggression

Enter the next room to the left, Counterterrorism. On the desk, about center of the room, is another eBook.

  • eBook (30/75) TASK FORCE 29 – MISSION STATEMENT

Continue to the next room, Organized Crime. Speak to Peter Chang in the far North end of the room. ACCEPT his request to initiate SM05: Samizdat.

Now, head down stairs to the Shooting Range (POI marker) near the elevator.

***

NOTE: There is a glitch here that might cause the game to freeze once you leave the shooting range, due to an inventory issue. Since you put your own stuff into a locker upon entering, and retrieve it when you leave, it is assumed that there is an error between swapping between the inventories. I personally experienced this glitch having a nearly full inventory with no upgrades to the carrying capacity. To prevent this glitch, have at least half of your carrying capacity available upon entering, drop items if necessary (you can pick up upon exiting), and don’t pick up the max amount of ammo during the tutorial. Hopefully, you don’t have any problems because redoing the tutorial for the XP is time consuming.

***

SAVE BEFORE ENTERING, just in case you experience the glitch described above. Use the keycard to enter the area, drop items from your inventory if needed; to prevent a game crash. Then enter the range through the next door. On the chair to the left is the final eBook in the area.

  • eBook (31/75) IN TERROR FIRMA Task Force 29: The Secret Fighting Against Global Terrorism, Weekend editorial - Part 2

You can also partake on the shooting range tutorial for some XP. It is long a tedious so it is up to you. Just remember to avoid picking up all the ammo available, and/or drop these items before trying to leave.

Use the elevator to get back up to the store front when you are ready to continue.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

North Prague continued...

Next you will want to go to 33 Hlavni Apartments to the West, to progress side missions SM00. Head up the first flight of stairs, you want Apt 202. Once you get inside, the room’s A.I. can tell you are not the owner. So, quickly go over to the computer to the right and hack it. Once your on, select HOUSE A.I. to reset it, recognizing you as the owner instead; failure to do so, or taking too long will alert a pair of Police Officers who will come up to investigate. With the A.I. dealt with, be sure to order the cleaning services, before you exit the computer.

After that, find and read the Pocket Secretary located in the bathroom by the faucet of the bathtub. Reading this will point you towards a Rave and progress SM00.

Next, head to the nearby Palisades Station landmark and metro. There are two eBooks in the area to grab before using the metro.

First, Remote Hack the ladder in the Southwest corner, to reach the balcony to an apartment just beyond this platform; or you can jump for the glass dome over the metro entrance to the balcony. Once inside, be sure to grab the eBook off the table at the foot of the bed next to a computer.

  • eBook (32/75) GLOBAL POLITICS REVIEW [2029 EDITION]Chapter 4: The Australian Conflict

The second eBook in the area is on a patio above the magic shop, Negozio Di Magia. To get up here, either jump from atop the glass dome or the nearby newsstand to the tall black pillar in front of the stairs leading down into the metro. Once on the pillar, you can leap, South, to reach a ledge over a graffiti image of a soldier. On a table in the corner overlooking the street is the eBook.

  • eBook (33/75) THE LONG MEAN WHILE Chapter 27by Daniel Fletcher

FYI, without the Icarus Landing augment, a drop to the ground from this height is likely fatal. So use the environment to descend gradually to avoid a falling death.

When you get back down to street level, enter the nearby shop you were just on top of, Negozio Di Magia. Inside, speak to Liborio Barbadoro; selecting CONTINUE will net you some devices to proceed on SM02.

Now, you can leave the shop and go down the nearby metro to interact with the fast travel board. Select the newly uncovered Ruzicka Station to progress the main story.

----------------------------RUZICKA STATION----------------------------

When you arrive, you'll meet Smiley Fletcher and get an overview of your mission.

Since the Police have taken over, most of the area will be restricted. The “enemies” here are Police Officers, which reward zero XP when taking them down, so it is best to avoid them whenever possible and focus on the task at hand. You shouldn’t need the credits any more either, so searching for items to sell is essentially a waste of time by this point. Focus on hacking the few available locks and computers to earn a little more XP. Aside from that, there isn’t much to be done here except reaching the objective and finding the one eBook in the area. Just remember, you will have to return to the metro to exit the area once you have completed your task.

The easiest path to get to the eBook is to head up the stairs from the metro. At the restricted area, enter the door on the left then hack the locked door. Use the vent on the top shelf, obscured by a plastic crate, to get behind some of the officers at the entrance. Wait for the two officers to move away, then head up the stairs to the right. Just past the door is another vent to the right, behind a vending machine which you will need Optimized Musculature to move. Follow this, past the Destructible Vent, to a left turn leading into the bookstore. On the floor, just past the shelf directly in front of you, next to a chalk outline of a body, is the area’s only eBook.

  • eBook (34/75) THE SLEEPWALKING WORLD WAKE UP!

Return to the vent and backtrack to the Destructible Vent. Go through here to put you above the area, allowing you to avoid all the police below. DO NOT switch the breaker up here, ignore it and follow a ledge right, over the area to another vent. This will drop you into the evidence room, where you can grab the evidence DSD. Now, simply backtrack the way you came in to return to the metro; you can jump to the vent you dropped in from, by standing on a rail underneath it and using the Klipspringer Jump Mod. Once you get back to the metro, select Monument Station (Palisades) to leave the area.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

North Prague continued...

Now, make your way back to the TF29 Offices. Down here, you will want to stop by the Forensics Lab and talk to Smiley to progress the main story. Afterwards, stop by the Psychiatrist office next door to converse with Dr. Auzenne before leaving TF29 Offices.

You should head over to the L.I.M.B. Clinic now. To the right of the front entrance is a high arching structure. Get on top of this, using the flower bed behind it to get a little higher; with the Klipspringer Jump Mod augment, you can jump high enough to reach the top. Go through the vent here, dropping down to a small area above the actual store. Directly in front of you when you drop down is a Praxis Kit (6/20), in an open cardboard box, among many other valuable items.

After getting all the items up here, use the Hatch in the flooring to drop into the clinic below, or exit through the vent and use the front door (4464). Use the door in the back and head down to meet Vega. Finish the conversation and grab the eBook off the table nearby before leaving the clinic.

  • eBook (35/75) MODERN BUSINESS REVIEWEditorial – Corporatocracy is NOT a dirty word

Straight across from the clinic is the Coffee Shop. You want to get into the apartment above the shop. You can either Remote Hack the Shutters and jump up to the balcony; or you will have to go through the shop to the basement, open the locked door (5622), then jump up to the pipes above to a vent leading into the apartment. Inside the apartment is an eBook on a desk in the corner, near a microscope.

  • eBook (36/75) THE NEXT THREE DECADES World Police

Now, exit here to head over to Workshop Matej, go through the locked door (4465) inside to reach Chikane’s Place.

This next part will be conducted outside of Prague, so if there is anything you want to accomplish before leaving, now is the time. We will continue Side Missions when we return. You should also have 36 eBooks at this point if you followed the guide.

When you are ready to leave Prague and continue the main story, speak to Miller to be introduced to Chikane. Speaking to him will give you the option of READY to leave for Golem City.

--------------------------------GOLEM CITY--------------------------------

This place is fairly linear with some exploration available. There are a total of 12 eBooks, 4 Praxis kits, and a few achievements to get in this area. This region also provides a good opportunity to pick up plenty of crafting parts. Be sure to thoroughly look for searchable containers in the various rooms you will enter. You should be able to pick up the required 575 total needed, to fully upgrade the Stun Gun, if you haven't already acquired enough.

The first portion of the level will deal with traversing the communal area, patrolled by Police. You will also need to find the Golden Penguin; avoiding Police detection in restricted areas while carrying it through much of the mission. This act will be a long and slow process, due to having to drop the penguin frequently to address a security concern, then returning to reacquire it as you move through the Police checkpoints unseen. Again, Police offer no XP reward, so it is recommended to avoid them as much as possible, only knocking a few out if it is necessary to avoid detection.

The second portion will come later on as you take an elevator up to the Augmented Rights Coalition zone. This area is more active, with hostiles in the area who do award XP. At that point, it is recommended to try and eliminate everyone in a discrete and non-lethal manner, to earn a significant amount of XP for earning Praxis.

To keep this guide on point, I will assume you can handle taking out the threats as needed. I am only going to point out the location of key items as you move through the region.

With all that said, let’s begin.

Once you are dropped off, follow the yellow main mission markers to continue forward. Heading up the stairs you will be stopped by an officer for an official welcome to Golem City.

Once you regain control, go up the nearby ladder on the left, cross the platform just ahead to the right, follow route left to another ladder or jump up to the path above. You should be at an unlocked door at this point, with 000513 (faded) written on the blue and white door. Inside this room, immediately to the right, will be the Golden Penguin Prince, which you will have to carry though most of this region.

Pick up the penguin and leave; you will have to drop it often to interact with objects or deal with threats, so be sure to remember where you leave it. With the Icarus Landing augmentation, drop off the side to the lowest level landing near the mission marker, be sure to retrieve the penguin since you will have dropped it. Without Icarus Landing, back track to safely descend to the lower level and reach the mission marker.

At the mission marker, enter room 000237 to initiate a conversation with your contact’s wife, Adela Sokol. With the Social Enhancer augment, you gain some additional XP; select SYMPATHIZE when you are given the option, then quickly select cn_LT URGE to earn the bonus XP, Stop the Press 200.

Continue North to find a gathering of people confronting a few Police Officers; on the left here is another room 000125. Drop the penguin and enter the room. Inside, along the right wall is a small desk with an eBook.

  • eBook (37/75) PRIDE IN PREJUDICE - The unauthorized biography of Talos Rucker

Exit room 000125, turn right and you should see two restricted areas directly ahead. If you look slightly up, you should notice a vent directly ahead, behind a pair of wooden crates. Use this vent, to sneak into the areas beyond, undetected. Once you drop down, the locked door directly ahead (6123) will lead to a larger storage room with two Medical Boxes; the one at the far back (somewhat hidden) will contain a Praxis Kit (7/20).

Exit the restricted area, be sure to retrieve the penguin, then head down the stairs at the Northwest end of the area; towards the Svoboda Narrows. At the bottom of the stairs is a restricted Police Checkpoint. You can throw the penguin to the far end of the checkpoint if you want to free yourself of it for a few, it will likely raise a suspicious level but that is completely fine. The vent under the stairs is a good option to get in unnoticed, just beware of the other guard that will patrol nearby. Once you are in the clear, grab the penguin and head for the door nearby.

Once you open the door, you will now meet your contact, Tibor Sokol; the penguin will remain on the other side of the door here, so be sure to return to grab it before moving on. After the conversation you are tasked with secondary objective, providing an easy 1000 XP (potentially 1400 XP with Ghost and Smooth Operator in addition) upon completion, but it is optional. If you do, I recommend using the Stun Gun on the Exo-Suit Officer then quickly performing a non-lethal takedown from behind, while he is still shocked.

Regardless of completing the secondary mission or not, retrieve the penguin and exit through the door by the stairs. Once on the other side, there is a small opening in the fencing to the left you can get through, avoiding the much of the restricted area.

Head up the stairs here to Stedry Market, continue down the corridor. Eventually you should get a call from Otar Botkoveli as you progress, he tasks you with eliminating a rival; no worries, there is a non-lethal way to accomplish this.

At the end of the corridor, near the stairs is a Daycare center. Inside, on a desk is an eBook.

  • eBook (38/75) FLESH AND CHROME Chapter 9: Thumper

Head up the stairs, at the top there should be a bald Police officer standing there, speaking over the radio or on a phone. Just watch him for a bit, he will eventually begin to move and patrol the area. Follow him to a quiet and secluded area, most likely into a room directly South, where you need to knock him out and loot the body for an ARC Keycard.

Drop the penguin off by the elevator at the center of the area and go collect some eBooks before continuing.

Using the elevator as a starting point, go up the stairs at the South end of Stedry Market. Up here, to the left will be three room, the first containing an eBook on one of the beds.

  • eBook (39/75) GLOBAL POLITICS REVIEW [2029 EDITION] Chapter 1: Overview

Head back down the stairs to Stedry Market. Directly East of the stairs is a small dining area; on one of the tables, where no one is sitting at, there is another eBook.

  • eBook (40/75) SANTEAU – RISE OF A CORPO-NATION Growth

Return to the elevator, this time head past it to the West and down the stairs until you reach a locked door to room 150252. Inside, on the desk ahead, is an eBook.

  • eBook (41/75) TWO BLOODY CHEEKS

Continue down the stairs, at the bottom turn left and grab the eBook off the table in the middle of the area.

  • eBook (42/75) PROMISE OF A BETTER LIFE!

Next head under the stairs, to the West of the previous eBook. You should see some pipes leading North, under a green sign. Crouch under the pipes to make your way to the end of this area, beware of the gas mine ahead. All the way at the end is a window leading back into the restricted Police Checkpoint area from before. Go through the window, while avoiding the Police Officer on the other side, to retrieve the eBook off the Poker table to the right.

  • eBook (43/75) COLLAPSE OF AN INDUSTRY Part 1: Falling Star – Sarif Industries

Now backtrack, back through the window and under the pipe, to the lower level of the market. As you approach the stairs, you will pass by two crates of cucumbers, on either side of you. We will now try for an achievement here, one that will cause an alarm, so it is a good idea to make a SAVE so you can revert back to it afterwards.

With a recent save made, do something to cause an alert (shoot your weapon or attack someone) to cause the nearby merchant’s bodyguards or the nearby police to turn hostile. Once you have created an incident, someone will begin to shoot at you, the idea here is to take cover behind a crate of cucumbers so that whoever is shooting at you will eventually destroy a cucumber in the crossfire, unlocking the game’s oddest achievement.

Reload to the save from before, then head up the stairs to the upper floor.

Proceed to the far North end, to room 150510. Inside is Otar’s target and Dvali black market dealer, Louis Gallois.

If you want to earn XP from the side missions available from him, be sure to complete them before progressing with "DISCUSS DVALI", as it will void those mission objectives and any potential XP reward.

When you are ready to proceed, select DISCUSS DVALI, then SPARE (for the non-lethal route) to complete Otar’s task. You must complete this task in order to gain access to a later side mission with a corresponding achievement.

With Otar satisfied and the eBooks collected, return to the elevator. Grab the penguin and use the elevator to reach the Throat. Through the door at the other end will introduce you to Viktor Marchennko. End the conversation however you like, be sure to grab the penguin again from the other side of the door you entered before continue on.

Through the door at the end is a keypad (3354) on a column, which will extend a bridge to the platform ahead. Punch the padlock off the gate and use the ARC Keycard to unlock the elevator. Take that up, with the penguin, to enter the Augmented Rights Coalition (ARC) controlled area, the Throat.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This area is entirely restricted, and everyone here will be hostile. You will want to go through and takedown everyone, stealthily, to provide a substantial boost to XP earned. As you go through, be aware of your surroundings and know that someone by themselves in the open might actually be watched from someone across the map or from above. So take your time, go slow, and save often to ensure you can make it through the area without any alarms raised. Be sure to utilize the pull method and cover takedowns, drawing enemies into secluded areas and away from unwanted attention as you take them down one-by-one. There are many hacking and explorer opportunities to earn additional XP as well. Additionally, be sure to thoroughly search the area for crafting part until you have at least 575 in total; this is to completely upgrade the Stun Gun.

As you head up the stairs, you will have a short cutscene, with Tibor alerting other ARC members of your presence. Once you regain control, leave the penguin here for now as you clear the area of hostiles from RVAC Row.

There is one eBook to locate in this area, it is in the Dormitory on Level 4 of RVAC Row. To get here, from the beginning stairs leading in, there is a ladder slightly to the right. At the top, turn right for another staircase leading up to a laser grid. Move past it to reach a laundry area and a door to room 550401. Inside, about center of the room is the eBook, on a makeshift dresser.

  • eBook (44/75) THE SLEEPWALKING WORLD WAKE UP! THE AUG INCIDENT IS JUST THE BEGINNING

Once the area is clear, and before crossing the security checkpoint leading to Ridit Station, retrieve the penguin so we can finally end this prolonged escort mission.

With the penguin in hand, make your way across Level 2, the Commissary, to the East. Descend to Level 1, near the security checkpoint, and enter room 300420. Inside, go to the back corner where you can break through a weak vent with Punch Through Wall (or the shotgun works well here too). Carry the penguin through to reach large, electrified, gap. Toss the penguin across, jump down to quickly turn off the electricity at the breaker, then climb up the other side. Grab the penguin and drop him on the chair (throne) to unlock a panel with a Praxis Kit (8/20) inside, as well as an achievement.

At the end of the tunnel is a vent leading you into Ridit Station, just past the Level 2 security checkpoint from RVAC Row. Deal with the threats nearby, and continue North into a new area. There are more enemies and hacking opportunities here; so be sure to take your time, move stealthily, and save often. There are two eBooks in this area, as well as another Praxis Kit to find; before taking the elevator to Talos Rucker.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From the main entrance (Level 1) of Ridit Station, you will enter a large security hub. You’ll want to jump up to Level 2, on the right side, just before the laser grid. At the North end is a pair of a desks, the one on the right has an eBook.

  • eBook (45/75) THE INCONVENIENT AUG Chapter 17: Once Future For All Humanity

Continue right, and go through the window. Follow the ledge to the right, go over the rail and drop into the shaft ahead to the floor below. Turn around and go through another window. Do not move once you get across this window; instead, look to the right, and you should notice a blue tarp draped over the some Searchable Containers here. It might not appear like it at first, but one of these is searchable and contains a Praxis Kit. The problem is that the frame needed to interact with it is distorted, making it difficult to trigger. The container you want is the second one up from the ground and you will have to carefully move the cursor, while crouched next to the window and looking at it from the side, in order to find the correct position to trigger a search option. While annoyingly difficult, your reward is a Praxis Kit (9/20) so it is worth the effort.

Once you obtain the kit, continue North, out of the room then turn left and up the stairs to a laser grid. You want to enter the room on the right 400125, either through the window at the top of the stairs or the door on the other side of the laser grid; there is also a turret around the corner of the door, so be aware. Inside the room, on a desk near the door is another eBook.

  • eBook (46/75) THE INCONVENIENT AUG Chapter 12: The Illusion of Technological Solutions

Exit this room and turn the corner to the right, avoid the turret and all the way at the back is the elevator leading to Talos Rucker. This will be the Point of No Return for your adventures in Golem City. You can still go back to the very beginning of the level if you wish, so be sure you have all eBooks and Praxis Kits before continuing.

Once you are ready to continue, take the elevator up. At the top, it’s just a long hallway with a camera overlooking the door at the end. The camera will not cause an alarm so simply approach the door and enter to meet Rucker.

A cut-scene will begin and you will debate Talos Rucker over the course of a long conversation. The correct order of responses are TURN TABLES --- PATRONIZE --- JUSTIFY --- TURN TABLES to complete the back and forth and earn an achievement.

Watch the following cut-scene before regaining control. Start by turning around to find an eBook on a desk, near the double doors where you entered.

  • eBook (47/75) TALOS RUCKER: AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY Chapter 4

Use the Keycard on the reader of the door on the West side of the room. Inside is a Level 5 safe, containing a Praxis Kit (10/20); a Multi-tool is helpful if your skill is not high enough(you can craft one if there are no other options). Additionally, on the sofa in the back, is the region’s final eBook.

  • eBook (48/75) THE INCONVENIENT AUG Chapter 2: Hope and Uplift – Potential Unrealized

Make your way through the proceeding area, to reach the extraction point on the lowest level, and return to Prague.

You will return to Prague after completing Golem City, and bet met by Miller. Reply how you like and the conversation will eventually end.

Once you regained control of Jensen, take this time to upgrade the Stun Gun. You should have had more than enough opportunity to acquire enough crafting parts to do so by now. If you have not, take some time as you continue looking for eBooks to search the surroundings for additional parts; until you have enough to upgrade the weapon, a total of 575 parts is required.

In the Inventory screen, hold cn_Y to Customize, when the Stun Gun is selected. The only stat available to upgrade is Ammo Capacity. So, go down to it and press cn_A three times to purchase all the upgrades to maximize this stat. As long as you have also attached the Laser-Targeting System, as directed earlier, you will unlock the achievement.

When you are ready to continue, exit Chikane’s Place and the Workshop. It is now night time in Prague and the Police presence has increased, meaning more are on patrol and more eyes watching you; so be aware, especially during hacking since it is a hostile act if spotted by an officer.

Once you leave the Workshop, continue straight ahead to the second Advertising Billboard, which will be across the street directly to the South. As you get close to it, it will glitch and you can hear a voice calling out to you. Interact with the Ad Panel to gain a POI, which is required for a side mission.

Next, head over the 33 Hlavni Apartments to progress main mission M9, instead of M8. As you make your way over, you will likely get contacted by several others, initiating or continuing several side missions.

Once you enter, take the first set of stairs up to Apartment 202. Enter to find the place is cleaned up; go the bedroom on the upper level and search the Swan Towel for the Neon Keycard.

You can use the vent over the stairs in the apartment to reach Miller’s adjoining apartment, or go down to the first floor, across the courtyard, and up the back stairs to Apartment 203. Once inside Miller’s apartment, head up the stairs and interact with the blue punching bag to open a secret room behind a painting. The key item here is the Jim Miller Keycard.

Exit the room and head up the stairs to Apartment 302. Inside, enter the room on the right and get on the computer (1977). Select MESSENGER to pretend to be Little K. Answer how you like on the first response, but be sure to BLUFF on the second response to receive directions and a code, progressing SM05.

You can leave the apartment complex now. Head towards the TF29 Offices, stopping into Rose’s Garden along the way. There is an eBook on the counter to the right.

  • eBook (49/75) SANTEAU – RISE OF A CORPO-NATION Birth of a Giant

Head up the stairs in the back, to the Terasa. Once outside, get on top of the roof, using the tables to get higher if needed. There is a makeshift sofa/bed with another eBook here.

  • eBook (50/75) THE CZECH REPUBLIC ENTERS THE 21ST CENTURY

Follow the rooftop to the North, using the ledge to reach a balcony on the other side of the Courtyard. Enter to discover a body, and contact David Sarif. Loot the corpse for the Tai Yong Medical Vault Keycard (needed later to get a Praxis Kit). Exit afterwards and drop down to the Courtyard below, to meet Vega.

Afterwards, head into the nearby TF29 Offices.

At the bottom of the elevator, head over to Smiley in the Forensic Lab in the Northeast corner. After that, head up the stair and go to Miller’s office, using the Keycard picked up from his apartment. Enter the office and go through the other door to the Neural Subnet for a cut-scene.

-----------------------------IN THE MACHINE----------------------------

This next portion is essentially a tutorial on what you would find in the BREACH Mode portion of the game.

Behind the wall straight is a purple triangular teleportation device on the ground. This will transport you to the next area where the actual tutorial will begin.

Note: Before getting too far into this area, it would be a good idea to make a SAVE file here. You will need to complete this portion without causing any alarms for a specific achievement. While no alarms has been a consistent theme for this playthrough, the unique nature of this area may make this more challenging, so it is better to be safe than sorry to ensure a successful completion.

In this new area, be sure to follow the prompts. You will not have access to your usual augments in this realm, but you are provided with a remote hacking tool to interact with the environment and solve the challenge presented to you.

When you first enter this are, just ahead is the first DATA TOWER, behind some glass. You will need to circle around and use the hacking tool to lower the barriers, exposing a vent in the back. Inside, you can gain access to the DATA TOWER and download the data (1/5). When you enter the next area, you should be able to see three towers once you walk in, to the left, straight ahead, and to the right. There is a fourth, which is obscured, located at the opposite side of where you entered this area. Each tower will present a specific challenge to which you will need to identify the security measure and find a solution to get around it.

REMEMBER, if you trigger any security alarm, you will fail the achievement for this area, even though no actual alarm is raised. You will know if you tripped an “alarm”, as a security door closes around the Data Tower until you return to the beginning of that secured area.

Start with the tower at the center. Without the cloaking augmentation, going through the laser grind is not an option. Instead, drop to the floor below, grab a Storage Cube and bring it back up the stairs, dropping it just before the Laser Grid. Use the extra height provided by standing on top of the cube to reach the ledge above. At the center you can drop down to hack the tower (2/5). Once the download is complete, the Laser Grid is turned off and you can continue.

From that tower, head to the far side (opposite of the way you entered), hacking the Server Block here so you can make it across the gap. Continue to the right and around to the tower, staying on top of these elevated platforms. Hack the two Server blocks here to extend them, creating a platform to jump to, in order to reach the next tower (3/5).

Drop down, then head down the set of stairs nearby. At the bottom, hack the block to expose a vent to crawl through. Drop in and go to either side in the back (a Breach software is at the center of the room here); hack the block that is in the ground, while standing on it, to get raised up to the level above. This avoids the moving laser grid that you would normally have to get through. Climb the ladder, hack and climb the next, and finally go through the vent to reach another tower (4/5).

After you download the fourth tower, drop down to the level below, move to the right, and drop down again to the main floor. There is a vent behind a Storage Cube here, follow it straight through to the end. Exit the vent, and hack the block by the camera in the corner to block its view, then proceed up the ladder to the final tower (5/5). Once all 5 towers are downloaded, you will recreate Miller’s meeting and be ejected from the NSN after the cutscene plays out. If you remained undetected during this endeavor you will unlock an achievement.

The Net Is Vast and Infinite

Using Jim's keycard, you infiltrated the NSN and viewed a recording without triggering any alarms.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Exit the NSN room to be met by Dr. Auzenne. When given the option, select ACCEPT to begin SM07: Fade to Black. Exit Miller’s office and head directly across, to Organized Crime. Enter Vincent Black’s office and search for clues. Be sure to pick up the Train Ticket off the table in the corner, then read the emails on his computer (Origami1970) to advance the mission.

Exit the TF29 offices now, you will hear an explosion in the distance as you leave the Praha Dovoz. You will want to make your way over to Stanek’s, where the explosion occurred. It is a small shop directly South of TF29 and West of Sobchak Security. Nearby, to the West, is a homeless man named Nosey; he can be bribed with alcohol or 2000 credits, or can be persuaded with the Social Enhancer to provide info to advance the mission. This route will avoid having to go to Stanek's apartment for the same information. If you choose the Nosey option, select ACKNOWLEDGE to find Stanek’s location.

Now you will want to make your way over to the East side of Prague, and into the now accessible RedLight District.

Head into the Red Queen first. Take the stairs, in the back, up to the second floor, turn to corner and enter the Manager’s Office; speak to Masa Kadlek to complete a POI provided by Otar earlier. Select the topic DOMINIK?, and then you will want to ACCEPT once you are given the option; as this will initiate SM09: All in the Family.

Exit the Manager’s Office, and continue up the stairs. Exit to the balcony and speak to the blonde woman, on the right, Dobromila Novakova. The second topic will have four options to choose from, be sure to select YES, I UNDERSTAND in order to prevent a later event that could result in her death or an alarm. You will have to rendezvous with her later, so for now exit the Red Queen.

Go next door to the Irish Stool to continue the main mission. Interacting with the door in the back will being a cutscene. Leave when you are done to receive a POI from Vega. Before you progress any further, you will want to complete the SM09.

When you leave the Irish Stool, there is an alley just to the South, near a van advertising the Red Queen. If you look up at the arch at the start of the alley, you should see a balcony, you will want to get there. You can actually use the small angled portion at the base of the arch to get some elevation and allow you to jump to the top of the arch. Once you reach the balcony, enter the apartment to find an eBook on a box in the back of the room.

  • eBook (51/75) COLLAPSE OF AN INDUSTRY L.I.M.B.

Return to the alley below, and follow the path to the East to hop over the fence or hack the door; a patrolling Dvali Henchman can spot you while hacking, so FYI. In the corner you should notice a restricted area, there is a balcony and apartment on the second story here. Use the lift in the corner, by pushing the button, to get hoisted up to the balcony and enter the Dvali Apartments. Yes, you don’t need to do this to get up here but this is important for later.

This area has many Dvali guards and civilians in close quarters within the rooms, so use caution when confronting them. You will want to knock out everyone here (civilians included) to make the next task that much easier. Per SM09, you need to knock out Dominik, Masa Kalek’s son, and drag his unconscious body to a storage locker in the alley we used to get in here. The VIP is on the first floor, so for now, exit the room you entered from the balcony and take the stairs up to the third floor, avoiding the camera at the top.

Enter Room 95 (0666) to find an eBook on a shelf near the TV.

  • eBook (52/75) BORDERLINE MAGAZINE Featured in this month’s issue:

On the underside of the shelf, directly above the eBook, is a Button. Press it to open the Control Room directly behind you. You should enter this hidden room and use the security terminal (ST33LB3AM5) to turn off all the cameras and deactivate the alarm panels, completing a secondary objective.

Exit this room and enter Room 94, next door. Just below the TV is another eBook.

  • eBook (53/75) THE NEXT THREE DECADES A New Russia?

Exit the room and gradually make your way to the bottom floor, clearing the rooms and the courtyard of hostiles as you go. The room in the Southeast corner of the lowest level, Laundry Room, is where you will find Dominik. Knock him out and make a SAVE file, just in case. You need to drag his body to a storage locker, but the body may get stuck on something invisible, glitch in a doorway, or if it falls from too great a height he will die, failing the mission; hence, make a save!

Grab and drag Dominik up the stairs, to Room 86 on Level 2, where you came in through the alley. Go through the kitchen and to the room in the back, through the doors to the balcony. Carefully maneuver him onto the lift so he doesn’t fall off the ledge, this is why you needed to use it before. Lower the lift, then get off and push a green trash container up against the opening of the lift. Now, you can pull him off the lift and onto the trash can to avoid a lethal fall. Once on the ground, drag him across (avoiding an open manhole to the sewer) to the two storage units, and put him in the one on the left. Drop the body here and close the gate to accomplish the mission objective and earn an achievement.

You can now leave the RedLight District, head South to a ladder marker for the Sewers next to The Music Box. Follow the path Northwest, and around, to drop down to Level 1. Behind a bunch of stacked boxes, use the keypad to open the Shutter (5431). Just beyond here, you will meet Samizdat.

Approaching the group here will initiate a conversation with K. After some back and forth, select CONTINUE once given the option, to progress. Select PERSUADE cn_RT if you have the Social Enhancer, otherwise WORK TOGETHER will advance the side mission.

If using Persuade, the correct responses would be OBJECTIFY, both times.

Be sure to also ACCEPT K’s request, as this will progress SM05.

Leave the sewers when you are finished. Head over to the POI marker at the Monument Station Landmark. Find and read the Pocket Secretary under some cups in the recycling bin along the wall at the base of the small set of stairs here.

*** I recommend Saving here because I had a glitch in the upcoming event which cause an alarm ***

Next, enter the Tourist Center nearby. Hack the locked door, and pick up the eBook off one of the desks.

  • eBook (54/75) RUZICKA’S AUGMENTED PLATFORM CRUMBLES

You will need to get to the lower section of this building. To do so, use the vent behind the door to reach the elevator shaft. DO NOT move any of the boxes in the shaft, as you could cause them to trip a laser in the near future and cause an alarm. Just, drop down to the bottom of the shaft and and enter the information center on the lower level. Behind the door to the East is where you will meet Janus.

Once you finish with Janus, you will have to run a gauntlet of security measures, in the form of drones and mines, to reach an exit. These Drones should be in a state of Alert and Searching, but not in an Alarm state. If you are spotted, it should still fill the yellow then red threat meters like normal. If there is any indication that there is an alarm, reload to a previous file and try again.

You must return to the heavily secured elevator shaft to exit the area the same way you came in. This is because dropping into the sewers and progressing that way will result in an unavoidable alarm; voiding Foxiest of the Hounds. The Glass-Shield Cloaking augmentation is essential here, and will allow you to move through the laser sensors in the shaft to avoid an alarm. There is one, well placed, laser sensor at the top of the first ladder, so be sure to cloak towards the top. You should watch once you exit the Tourist Center to ensure that Smooth Operator has been earned. Ghost shouldn't be possible, due to the alert state, but that would work as well.

Once you escape the Tourist Center, you will be contacted by Nomad Stanek. He will ask for your help, directing you to the South District of Prague. So, head down and into the Monument Station Metro. Once you get far enough into the metro, before interacting with a fast-travel board, Vega will also contact you about VersaLife moving their property from the Palisades Bank.

This will present you with conflicting main missions to pursue, M11: Confronting the Bomb-Maker and M12: The Heist, of which you can only complete one. In order to achieve a few different achievements on this playthrough, including TABLET COLLECTOR, you must complete M12: The Heist. If you do not, one eBook is unattainable and you will have to retrieve them all over again. Since two playthroughs are necessary, simply pursue M11 on the second playthrough. Do not worry about making a save and doing both now for the sake of earning an achievement, as it is just a waste of time. You can and will go to the other area afterwards to collect those eBooks, since they will still be obtainable after the fact.

Once you are given the option ALLISON or BANK, choose BANK. You can technically pick either dialogue option when presented, this doesn’t restrict you to that mission; it simply toggles that mission marker.

Instead of traveling to South Prague, exit the Metro. Head West to the Courtyard near Ludvik’s Lounge. Use the Neon Keycard, from the Swan Towel, on the door with the side mission marker for SM00. Inside, take the left path to a locked door near two Ravers. Get through the door here and read the Pocket Secretary found on the dead civilian inside to progress the side mission.

Exit the Rave and stop by Ludvik’s Lounge nearby. Inside, on a bench along the front window is an eBook.

  • eBook (55/75) COLLAPSE OF AN INDUSTRYLast Man Standing – Tai Yong Medical

Exit and head Northwest, towards Palisades Bank. Once you get close to the bank, Vega will direct you to the parking garage, directly across from the main entrance, to retrieve an item that will help you infiltrate some restricted areas. Since you want to explore the entire region, it is not a bad place to start.

---------------------------------THE HEIST---------------------------------

Palisades Bank offers a large potential for XP earning, since the security guards do reward XP for takedowns, unlike police officers. There are also several hacking opportunities, eBooks, and Praxis Kits in the area to offer a great number of benefits in taking your time and thoroughly exploring the area. With the high potential for gain, there is also a great number of security measures to contend with, like cameras, laser grids, turrets, security bots, and observant guards patrolling the area. However, many of these can be shut down via several security hubs around the bank, and you can usually find isolated guards more often than not. Just be sure to save often, look for alternative ways into an area, and remain stealthy.

Again, I will assume you can handle any of the security threats, as I point out key items and mission objectives.

Enter the restricted garage through the locked door (5136), and grab the package from the trunk of the car, a blue Prius, parked in the Southeast corner of the garage. This item is a must have so be sure to grab it before heading into the Bank at the main entrance.

Now, leave the garage and head inside the Bank. Immediately to the left in the sitting area is an eBook, sort of blending in to the table at the center of the couch.

  • eBook (56/75) BOB PAGE – ANATOMY OF A PRODIGY Acquisitions

Speak to the Receptionist once he is done talking to another customer, be sure to ask for the ACCOUNTS MANAGER. Now, head up the stairs, there will be another sitting area directly behind the Receptionist with an eBook on the table.

  • eBook (57/75) JUS IN BELLOPart 3: The Fall of Belltower

Enter the nearby office on the North side, for Tomas Romanek - Account Manager (0831 if it is locked for some reason). Toggle the EG Switch next to the door, to prevent patrolling guards from seeing in. Find and press the hidden button, on the bottom side of his desk, to open a hidden safe on the wall behind him. Since his back will be turned, you can hack it safely, as long as the EG Switch was toggled. Inside this safe is the Executive Locker B Keycard.

You can get the Executive Locker A Keycard from Tomas Romanek, a few different ways, but there is nothing in there that is needed for the guide, so I will leave that up to you to figure out.

Next, head down to the lower level, Bank Level 1. Use the Executive Locker B Keycard on the keyreader to Executive Safes B (South). Opening the door will deactivate the restriction and security features, be sure to loot locker B07 (0310) for a Praxis Kit (11/20).

Other items to find between Lockers A and B are Augmentation ammo, Breach Software, Multi-tools, Neuropozyne, a security report, and a plethora of credits, just FYI.

When you have acquired all that is desired from the lockers, exit the area and head opposite the stairs towards the elevator. You will want to enter the restricted room near the elevator, Executive Services (9593). There may be a glitch here, where even though the EG Switch appears to be toggled, people can still spot you inside; to prevent this, toggle the switch off then back on. Inside, on the desk, grab the Elevator Access Keycard and the eBook.

  • eBook (58/75) PALISADES: CLIENTS & SERVICES

Now you can exit the office and use the new keycard inside the elevator to reach the Bank’s Level 3 Offices. You will likely be contacted by Stanek at this point, resulting in you failing the other mission; which was expected. Exit the elevator and enter the CEO/CTO Offices nearby. Head up the stairs and through the locked door (0211) to the desks of the CEO and CTO.

Go to the desk on the right, belonging to Ashani Talwar. There is a piece of paper on the lower portion of the desk to pick up, Drinking Water Analysis Results, for SM05. Also, use the Janus Package on the Keycard Biometric Encryptor just above the previous paper, next to the security laptop. Be sure to pick up the produced VersaLife Vault Keycard from the encryptor once it is ready.

Next, go to the middle of the room, you should notice on the map there is another room to the North. This hidden room is unlocked by solving the puzzle of the three pillars, between the desks; Raise, Turn, Raise, Turn, Turn, Raise should unlock and open the door. Inside, hidden behind a painting, is a safe on the right, containing a Praxis Kit (12/20) and the Flight 451 Dossier (for SM05). There is also an eBook in this small room, on top of the drawers next to the door.

  • eBook (59/75) PALISADES: PROPERTY & DATA PROTECTION,

I would recommend going through the Cable Duct Door (vent) in the corner here, since it will take you down a few levels, and drop you to another vent that puts you behind the security measures at the Corporate Vault elevator. Call the elevator and use the VersaLife keycard you just made to unlock the lower stop.

This lower level contains four more guards and other security measures to get through. Again, go slow, save often, and remain stealthy.

You will essentially need to take the corridor all the way East from the elevator to reach the Vault lobby, where you will summon the VersaLife corporate vault. Enter it for another cutscene.

Once you regain control, help yourself to anything in the vault. It is crucial that you hack and loot the safe in here. The safe contains the Orchid Neutralizing Enzyme, which is needed for an achievement later on. Also, be sure to grab the eBook which is next to the laptop.

  • eBook (60/75) AJ09-0921 PATIENT X

Exit the Vault and climb on top of it. Press the button up here to be taken up to level 5. When it stops, jump off and press another button, located just below a red light on the wall, to open the shutter above you.

Now you can access any of the other three vaults if you have the corresponding vault keycards. Since you were directed to pick up the Tai Yong Medical (TYM) Vault key off the body during a part of SM03, you should have at least that one; which is really the only one that matters. The P.I.C.U.S. Vault would be the first one you reach, starting at the bottom as you climb higher; followed by the Tarvos Vault on the floor above, and finally the TYM Vault above that. You will need to hack the terminal keypad or remote hack the sensor on the vault to pull it forward, exposing the keycard reader to enter. Grab whatever you want, but be sure to hack the safe in the back to retrieve the Praxis Kit (13/20).

Once you are done in the vaults, continue to climb up, through the vent shaft and up the ladder. You will eventually reach a fan, turn it off with the breaker nearby so you can exit safely into the Palisades parking garage. Exit the garage to complete this portion of the mission and listen to what Miller has to say.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At this point, meeting Miller will send you away from Prague; which you are not ready to do yet. There is much progress to be made with respect to other side missions first, otherwise you will miss out on completing these and/or earning some side mission specific achievements.

Instead, go to the nearest Metro station and travel South to the Capek Fountain Station.

You will likely have been contacted by Koller by now as well, initiating SM08: The Fix.

As you leave the Capek Fountain Station, head left and into the Church of the Machine God. Once you gain entry, head all the way to the back, and out to courtyard with a basketball hoop. Pick up one of the basketballs, and do what you need to in order to make a basket (hint, go for a three!).

If you cant make one, here is my hotspot...

Line yourself up with your back up against the stack of yellow generators but just at the bottom of the stairs near the door to the complex. Aim the cursor at the center of the very top edge of the backboard and throw the ball. This should be the perfect angle and distance to sink a bucket and net you the achievement.

Afterwards, go back into the main complex and head up to the second floor. Each of the three rooms on this floor 90, 91, and 92, hold an eBook.

In room 90, it is in the back table near some candles. It might be easiest to use a side window to get inside, to avoid being spotted trying to hack.

  • eBook (61/75) THE SINGULARITY CHURCH OF THE MACHINE GOD The God in the Machine

In room 91 it is on one of the tables inside.

  • eBook (62/75) GLOBAL POLITICS REVIEW [2029 EDITION] Chapter 6: South America’s Rise to Power

In room 92, the collectible is in the bathroom in the back, on the floor.

  • eBook (63/75) THE SLEEPWALKING WORLD – WAKE UP! Tectonic weapons cause earthquakes and more

Be sure to make your way all the way up to Level 4, and enter room 96. Inside is quite the scene, which you will get a better understanding of what you see on the next playthrough when you complete M11 instead of M12. Regardless, you will want to get on top of the structure at the center of the room. Use the environment to jump up to the attic-like area above, where you will find a Case containing another Praxis Kit (14/20).

Leave the Church now, and go to the alley between Svobody Beer and Zelen Apartments. Cross the yellow Police tape and speak to Daria Myska, standing on the right, and ACCEPT her request to assist in the investigation. Next, speak to Detective Karl Montag, standing opposite Daria and in the tan trench coat.

You will now have to collect evidence to present to the detective.

Locate the EMP Fragment (1/7) on the ground, just before the path to exit the alley. Next, go to the body, search it for Bruises (2/7) on the neck, Marks (3/7) on the arm, and a Needle (4/7) in the other arm. Additionally, examine the smashed Augment (5/7) on the wall behind the body. Finally, there will be an ID Card (6/7) and Broken Glasses (7/7) to pick up off the ground, just around the corner from the Augment evidence.

Be sure to continue forward and speak to the Scandalmonger. This conversation is mandatory in order to earn an achievement later so do not forget to speak to this person. Be sure you select SPUR, as the other option will not produce a second suspect.

Speak to Daria again to go over her story, exhaust all conversation topics. Return to Detective Montag and select ABOUT THE CASE. Discussing each topic will talk over all the evidence found thus far, the topic SUSPECTS will produce a couple of optional objectives. You must complete these in order to complete this mission correctly, and allow you to access another side mission, and achievement, later on.

Exit the alley and head to the East side, through the Police Checkpoint and stopping in at the Pawn Shop; which should have a POI marker. If the door is locked, it will unlock as you approach, enter and go down to the basement. Use any of the laptops; go to MESSENGER to converse with Helle. Be sure to select ACCEPT when given the option, to officially begin SM06: 01011000.

Exit the Pawn Shop and continue to the right, you will likely be stopped by Police, but you want to get to the Radko Perry Campaign Headquarters. Speak to Radko Perry, who is outside trying to clean some graffiti off a poster. In conversation, exhaust all options before selecting, LEAVE. Inside the building, a bodyguard will patrol the area; you should knock him out, since he may interrupt you downstairs and raise an alarm. Luckily, no one is really watching so you should be able to do a takedown unnoticed. Be sure the body won’t be spotted and head downstairs. The primary focus here is the laptop. Hack into it and go to MESSENGER. You will be speaking with Ivanka, to which you should respond with QUESTION, BLUFF, then either response will complete the conversation and provide you with Radko’s alibi.

Exit the headquarters and enter through the gated door next to the Pawn Shop to get back to Koller for SM08. You can use the sewer in the middle of the area to avoid having to go all the way through the bookstore. Speak to Koller and select LET’S DO THIS to trade in the Calibrator and eliminate the overclocking feature on the Experimental augments. Now, your System Status will remain Stable, regardless of what or how many augments you have activated.

With Koller's help and the Neuroplasticity Calibrator, eliminate overclocking for experimental augs.

THE JACK OF ALL AUGMENTS

By now, you should be able to invest in the first skill in each augment tree. This would have required 34 Praxis if you did not upgrade any other secondary augments. However, this is unlikely because some additional upgrades were needed, specifically required to align with the guide. If following the guide, you should need at least 39, maybe more depending on how many secondary skills you acquired or deviated from the Augment Outline on the General Hints and Tips page.

For reference, by this point and trying to be as minimalistic as I could, I had earned/acquired 45 Praxis. Therefore, you should have been able to earn at least that, simply following the guide; which is more than enough to earn Jack Of All Augments.

If you have saved Praxis up to this point, then I would recommend making a SAVE file before spending them; so you can revert back, after unlocking the achievement to spend those Praxis on skills you actually want.

Once you have enough Praxis, go through and invest in only the first level until each augment is acquired to unlock the achievement. Most will cost 2 Praxis to acquire the initial augment on the tree. If you have the DLC, the added Micro-Assembler does not need to be unlocked.

The Jack of All Augments

Invest in at least one augmentation in every branch of the Aug Tree.

The Jack of All Augments
3 guidesOffline Game ModeSingle PlayerLevelShop

If, for some reason, you do not have enough Praxis, simply wait to invest them until you have earned enough to complete this feat. There is still much left to be done so there is plenty of time to earn additional upgrade points as you progress in the story.

Be sure that when you reload to continue after earning this achievement, you designate a few points to acquire the first skill in Smart Vision and upgrade Glass-Shield Cloaking with the secondary skill, Cloaked Takedown Support. These will be required for the final combat related achievement, for which an opportunity is upcoming.

Additional recommendations on augments to get, now that you are not limited on your spending, would be to investing in the Sarif Series 8 Energy Converter (as much as possible), and acquire Icarus Dash, Quicksilver Reflex Boost, and Hacking Stealth to help you get around more stealthily and be more effective in takedowns. Aside from Smart Vision and the Cloaking upgrade, all the must haves are already acquired; so upgrade according to your playstyle. Just remember that some skills are more geared towards open combat and lethality, which might be a waste of resources on a stealth/pacifist playthrough.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you are ready to continue, leave Koller's hidden lab.

Next, go meet Dobromilla for SM07, at the Courtyard near the Police Checkpoint. When you enter, you will see her walk in, go speak to her and select NEGOTIATE FOR INFORMATION. If you pressed her at the Red Queen, then a pair of henchman will attack. If you picked up the Train Ticket from Black’s office in TF29, you can give it or pay her with credits. Either way, you are given a Map, which you must actually look at to continue the mission. Select it once received or go through the story items in the database menu to view it before continuing.

Exit the Courtyard and continue West, towards the toy factory. Jump on top of the van near the restricted area to the North, just before reaching the toy factory. Jump to the roof and go through the window that is not boarded up to enter a restricted area with three Mercenaries below. Clear the are of hostiles, then loot and read the Pocket Secretary held by one of them. Reading this will allow you to avoid a confrontation later on. Go to the door in the back (1591), which Helle will power up. Grab the Memory Disk inside and exit back to the streets.

Head for Capek Fountain Station, and take the Metro back to Monument Station.

Exit Monument Station and head across the street to Policie. Go through the door (0010) in the back and head downstairs. The lockers in the back of the basement have names on them, you want to open one labeled to find the file Harvester Copycat, Victim 4?.

Exit the building, turning left once outside, and jump up to the nearby balcony to enter the sewers. Return to Samizdat and speak to K, select GIVE EVIDENCE to turn over what was found at Palisades Bank.

You should now exit the sewers, the way you came in so you exit near Policie. Follow the SM05 mission marker, West, to Autodily. There is ladder halfway up the side of the building (above the U on the sign that reads AUTODILY) which can be reached if you get on top of the van at the street corner, then jump to and grab the ladder. On top of the building will be the City Server News Updater. Hack this terminal and select Enable Remote Admin to complete SM05.

Next, head over to a small are just North of Palisades Bank to continue SM07. Enter the double doors on the left (2565), and behind the painting is a Breaker that will open a hidden door. Go down and speak to Olivie Devos, be sure that you DO NOT select DISPUTE on the second option. Once Vlasta enters, be sure to select NEGOTIATE PASSAGE.

With the Social Enhancer augment - you can PERSUADE for extra XP, followed up with PRESS, both times.

Without the Social Enhancer augment - you will have to choose APPEASE (only if you did NOT choose DISPUTE with Olivie); or as a last resort, you can BRIBE if you have enough credits. Once you finish the conversation, speak to Olivie once again to receive a Praxis Kit (15/20).

Leave the area, now head to Future-Past Antiky across town to continue SM06. This is in the middle of Northern Prague, just to the East of the Pedestrian Bridge and South of Chikane’s Place.

Enter the store, be sure to have read the email “Retire Walker” which was on one of the three mercenaries inside the Tourist Center and was previously called out. Speak to the Store Clerk once you are ready to progress. This can go many different ways, but the easiest is to confront the clerk now, to avoid going to the basement to fetch the item. The first option doesn’t matter, but the second does.

Without the Social Enhancer augment - select FUTURE-LAST?, then CONFRONT ABOUT NAME.

With the Social Enhancer augment - choose either PRICE? or OTHER CUSTOMER?, quickly followed by cn_LT REFUSE/SUSPECT CLERK (depending on the previous choice). This is an interruption event, so you must select this before he is finished talking to be successful and earn the additional XP and continue as desired.

Choose from any of the remaining options to break the clerk’s cover. When asked to guess who he is, respond with YOU’RE IN DANGER; if this is not an option, you did not read the previously mention pocket secretary and you will have to deal with the hostile quickly before he shoots and causes and alarm. After receiving the item, select YOU CAN WALK; you can still knock him out afterwards for XP, but it will cause an additional hostile to show up later.

Exit the antique store and head to the side mission marker for SM07 at the Abandoned Store, Southeast of your current location. In the basement you will find Vincent Black and make contact with Dr. Auzenne to complete the mission.

Exit the store and make your way North to Libuse Apartments. Inside, there are few areas of interest.

On the 2nd Floor:

- Apartment 84 – This apartment has a Swan painted on the front door and will continue SM00. In the back corner, on a small counter with a sink, interact with the Spray Bottle to unlock a hidden door. Inside open the safe and read the Pocket Secretary to complete this portion of SM00.

- Apartment 85 – This is the apartment of Johnny Gunn, the prime suspect for the murder in SM10. The first thing you will want to do, is to pick up the Medical Referral Form in the corner between the Drawer and a sofa/bed. This will provide you with the compelling evidence needed and allow you to avoid a lengthy conversation. You will still have to speak to Johnny to complete this portion of the side mission, but with the medical form it is pretty quick and straightforward. Speak to Johnny to complete the required conversation, then go into the bathroom to find the eBook before you leave. This eBook will only appear once you begin this side mission.

  • eBook (64/75) A., I

Head up to the 3rd Floor:

- Apartment 96 – This is Stanek’s apartment. There is a Praxis Kit (16/20) on top of the kitchen cabinets, directly above the stove, lying in a box. Additionally, there is an eBook on the opposite counter of the Praxis Kit, near the door.

  • eBook (65/75) TECH-A-TETE MAGAZINE Technology Trends for the 21st Century

*** NOTE: If you can justify it, use this Praxis Kit to upgrade the Wayfinder Radar System with the Vision Feedback upgrade. This will be very helpful in the upcoming areas where there is a heavier presence of personnel on alert. If you have already completed The Jack of All Augments, I recommend getting it now because I cannot know if you would earn one through XP by the time it is truly needed. ***

You will now want to travel back to South Prague, so exit Libuse Apartments and go into the nearby metro, and travel to Capek Fountain Station.

Return to the crime scene in the alley next to Zelen Apartments.

Speak to Detective Montag and select COMPLETE. You must select EXONERATE BOTH; to lead to a second side mission later. After talking over the evidence collected to support your conclusion the mission is complete and you earn an achievement.

You convinced Detective Montag that neither Gunn nor Radko could be the murderer.

Head for the end of the alley and go down into the sewers. Take the left path and go all the way to the end, to Richard’s cult hideout.

Once inside, you will need to install the three scramblers, picked up from Liborio Barbadoro earlier, at specific locations around the room. First, go up the ladder to the North of the Microphone. Dodge the turret’s sight; and on the west corner, just before going across a long narrow platform guarded by another turret at the end, is a spot to Install - Emitter (1/3). Back track and drop down to the main level, since there is no stealthy way to get across the platform to the South side. Instead, get behind the large TV on the wall here and jump up to the platform. Run straight ahead towards the turret from before, on the wall is another spot to Install - Emitter (2/3). Retreat again; this time, continue all the way to the East while on this higher level, and go under the turret to find a spot in the back corner to Install - Emitter (3/3). Return to the Microphone at the center of the lower level to speak to Richard once more. Select PITY, then MITIGATE to complete the side mission and earn an achievement.

Head back to the sewer ladder leading out; but instead of turning to get to the ladder, continue straight ahead and drop down into the area below. Drop in to the lower area here to reach a locked door (0311) with a turret on the other side. Avoid the turret and head up the stairs in the back to the locked Shutter (0311). Open it to enter the Neon Production Lab.

There are several enemies inside and it might be hard to isolate and take them each down. So, it is best (easiest) to simply avoid who you can, unless of course you need the XP. You can use the pipe to the left to get across to another elevated position, where a security hub is located. Using this laptop, you can shutdown much of the security in the area. Follow this upper level around to the Southeast, where you can drop down into a room in the back to confront the Neon Chemist, Harmony Knapkova.

Without the Social Enhancer augment - select WARN then CONFRONT

With the Social Enhancer augment - select DISMANTLE, enabling an option to cn_RT PERSUADE in the next dialogue choice. Select REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY in both subsequent responses to successfully persuade her and earn bonus XP.

Next you can choose YOU’RE THE EXPERT to have her sabotage the tanks, or HELP ME SABOTAGE, to gain the passcodes and Biocells needed to do it yourself. The “Help me” option provides a few hundred XP more than if you had her do it.

With the tanks emptied, the side mission is complete and you will earn the achievement.

Leave the Sewers now and enter Zelen Apartments.

You can purchase a third Praxis Kit (17/20) from Tars on the second floor, if you need/want it and have the necessary credits.

Head up to Jensen’s Apartment on the top floor to progress SM06. Install the Memory Disk Reader at the coffee table and Insert the disk to speak to Helle. There are a few ways the conversation progress, depending on how you reply.

IF you are given the choice between DISCONNECT or OFFER HELP, choose OFFER HELP.

As the conversation continues, she will abruptly stop and alert you of an incoming threat. Depending on your actions against the Mercenaries and the Store Clerk (Walker), up to 4 Mercenaries will come to Zelen Apartments. Two will barge into Jensen’s apartment and the other two will be in lower levels of the complex, searching for you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INVISIBLE WAR - (first attempt)

These mercenaries can cloak if they turn hostile, providing you with an opportunity to earn the Invisible War achievement. However, you will need to have Glass-Shield Cloaking (2), Cloaked Takedown Support (1), and Smart Vision (2) augments unlocked, totaling 5 Praxis. If you were not prepared ahead of time or don’t have enough Praxis to unlock all of these at this time, there is another opportunity later; so work on investing in those augments so you do not miss out the next time around.

It is best to SAVE prior to this so you can reuse the Praxis and/or prevent an alarm resulting in losing out on the Foxiest of the Hounds achievement.

With the augments acquired, you can get started. Let the mercs enter the apartment, then allow yourself to be spotted, fire a weapon or knock one out and let the other spot the body, just any means at least one of them to turn hostile and begin shooting at you. Cloak to avoid their fire and get close to your target; once one turns invisible, quickly turn on Smart Vision so you can perform a takedown. If successful, you will unlock the achievement.

The use of Smart Vision is the technical way to be able to spot an invisible foe, allowing you to get the prompt to perform a takedown. Without it, you will notice that there is no prompt for a takedown, and mashing the button is likely an exercise in futility. However, you may get lucky and it will go through for some reason, it has worked for some; but using Smart Vision will ensure success. Reload upon completion of the achievement.

Deal with the mercs once again, this time quietly; or you can simply leave the area unnoticed to avoid them all together. The side mission should be rendered complete at this point, rewarding you with an achievement.

Aside from SM03: The Mystery Augs, all side missions thus far should be complete. If you do not complete them now, leaving Prague will cancel missions still in progress and you will forfeit the corresponding achievements linked to those side missions.

When you are ready to proceed with the main story, return to North Prague via the metro to Pilgrim Station. Head over to meet Miller at Chikane’s Helipad again and leave for the G.A.R.M. Facility.

How you approach this next section will depend on whether or not you have unlocked The Jack of All Augments achievement. If you have not yet unlocked it, this area offers many more opportunities to earn XP towards more Praxis unlocks in the form of hostiles and hacking. Be sure to utilize the same approach thus far; progress slowly, wait for your opportunity to strike, and save often. However, if you have already completed this achievement, then in this next mission you will want to simply get to the end as fast as possible while still picking up all the relevant items needed along the way.

There is only 3 eBooks to find here, as well as an achievement opportunity. Some recommended augments, which will help you get around quickly and efficiently, will be the Social Enhancer, Remote Hacking, and Icarus Dash. Other than these tips, I will continue my approach in assuming your path is clear and you can identify and avoid general security concerns while remaining unseen as I direct you to the essential items on your way to the exit.

Once you are dropped off, head to the mission marker and hack the door for a cutscene.

Once you regain control, you will be given a choice. You must select CONTACT VEGA. Contacting Miller will result in an unavoidable alarm later on and void any chance of earning Foxiest of the Hounds.

After your choice, move to the fan ahead; find the breaker around the corner to stop it and get through. Use the ladder to reach a control room.

There is a crane control station just ahead; you will need to use a Biocell to power it up.

For now, you can only select the REAR Button (left arrow). Once the drill begins to move, you will be confronted by someone over the radio. Select SCOLD to avoid a hostile coming in to the control room to check on things. Get back to the controls, select the LEFT button (up arrow) twice, and then finally select the FORWARD Button (right arrow). Start the drill by pushing the BUTTON at the top of the control panel and unlock an achievement.

If you need the XP, proceed through the hallway and down to the hanger, where you can engage all the Shadow Operatives as you see fit. If you do not, you can avoid everyone by Remote Hacking the ladder and mine in an opening on the ceiling, at the Southeast corner of the Control Room. Climb up and use the yellow beams of the drill’s structure to walk across the hanger unnoticed.

Either way, reach the Northwest corner of Hangar 1. If you used the beams and also have Icarus Dash, you can dash across to reach the area above the office and drop in through a vent, avoiding the Level 4 security door all together.

Inside the office is an eBook.

  • eBook (68/75) CITY AS PRODUCT

Next, you will need to get to Hangar 2 to the East, either through, around, or over the connecting tunnel (drilled path).

In the second hangar, avoid or confront the enemies as you make your way through the area unnoticed. Before ascending the stairs in the Northeast corner of the room, be sure to stop into the large tented area, in the Northwest section of the hangar. Inside (under the tent), there is a well-guarded eBook on the northern most set of tables, not the ones along the back wall. If you have remained unnoticed, there should be an Operative sitting on the table next to the eBook.

  • eBook (69/75) JUS IN BELLO Part 4: The Rise of Tarvos

With all collectibles acquired here, all that remains is to finish the mission by reaching the extraction point. Head up the stairs, or take the elevator. Maneuver through the next area, with the final three enemies, to reach the mission maker at the elevator. Taking the elevator up leads to the helipad where Chikane is waiting to return you to Prague for the third and final time.

Upon your return, you will immediately notice that most of the city is now restricted, and Police are out in higher numbers with added security measures in key areas. Aside from being indoors, you will be considered trespassing in a restricted area, therefore anyone spotting you will turn hostile in a hurry if you are not careful. Be sure to crouch often to avoid alerting the police to your footsteps and be observant for any detection notices, quickly going into a cloak to disrupt a growing detection meter if needed. Again, Police offer no XP reward so take that into consideration as you contemplate the risk of thinning out their numbers or simply avoiding them as you move around the city.

When you are ready to continue, leave the L.I.M.B. Clinic after meeting with Vega. You should get an S.O.S. from Little K, of Samizdat, almost immediately; providing a POI marker to the Sewers in the South district. For now though, make your way to TF29. The front door is barred so you’ll have to use one of the side entrances to get inside.

While riding the elevator, David Sarif will contact you as well; advancing SM03. Once inside TF29 Offices, go speak to Miller in his office on the second floor. After a long talk, exit TF29.

Once you get back to the streets, Daria Myska, your neighbor and eyewitness to the Harvester murder, contacts you to initiate the side mission, SM11: The Last Harvester.

Before you head South to help her, you will want to continue the main mission by going to the RedLight District. Once you enter the area, use Helle’s distraction to help reach the Red Queen unnoticed. Run up to the top floor and out to the balcony. Jump up, on top of the glass awning here to reach a rooftop path leading into Dvali Territory.

You can use the rooftops here to get across the area and on top of the Theater. Towards the back of the roof, above the camera is a vent you can use to get into the building. The vent leads to a shaft that has access points to various levels of the Theater.

If you still need the XP for Praxis, to earn the Jack of All Augments, work your way down, floor by floor, taking out all the Dvali inside.

However you get into the Theater, there is a security hub on Level 3, the Balcony. This is where a projector or audio booth would traditionally be and should be one of our first stops to reduce a lot of the security measures. The computer here can take several cameras offline; and with upgraded Hacking Capture, you can deactivate the two robots roaming around as well, making moving around much easier.

Get through the area how you want, eliminate henchmen or avoid them; but you will need to take the stairs, located Backstage (Level 2), to get to the lowest level where Radich’s office will be; it is marked as Manager’s Office on the map.

The easiest way to get there would be to start from the Level 3 Balcony security hub. Take the Balcony’s East stairwell down to the bottom, then exit the stairwell and turn the corner to the North for a locked door. This hallway will lead directly to the backstage and the stairs, will not have to cross any of the additional laser security measures in the backstage area using this path.

Once at the bottom of the stairs (Level 1), make your way North to the Manager’s Office without raising the suspicions of the group of henchmen at the far end of the Dressing Room. As you approach the office, you’ll witness a cutscene between Otar and Radich.

Once it is over, move away from the door so you are not spotted by Otar when he leaves. Enter the room and deal with Radich to avoid being spotted. There is a hidden panel on the red wall, which contains a safe with a Praxis Kit (18/20) inside. Be sure to also grab the eBook off the black couch closest to the door Otar left through.

  • eBook (70/75) WORLD’S MOST WANTED The Dvali Family

Enter the next room, attached to the office, to find a security computer. Hack this to turn off the camera on the vault door and open then it. Exit this room and to the right is the vault door you just opened, so go in and drop below (only if you have the Icarus Landing augment, without this upgrade you will have to backtrack through the area and to the nearest metro). This drops you into the sewers below and is the fastest route, since it takes you to the maintenance closet of the Pilgrim Station metro.

Reach the Pilgrim Station metro and travel to Capek Fountain Station.

Once you arrive, make your way to Zelen Apartments. Glass-Shield Cloaking and Biocells to keep it active are very helpful here.

Once you get to Zelen, there is a lot of missions/objective to finish up in the area.

Stop in to Tars’ shop to purchase the final Praxis Kit (19/20) available for sale, if you still need or want it and can afford to pay for it.

Head up to the third floor, you will likely run into Detective Montag, who is at Daria’s front door. Speak to him but don’t enter the room yet. Instead, continue up and into Jensen’s apartment to complete the main mission objective by meeting with Vega.

Afterwards, use the Remote Control on the coffee table to CALL SARIF, completing SM03. No achievement is earned, but some XP is rewarded.

Head down to Daria’s apartment, 31. Enter the apartment to find it ransacked. Go across to the bedroom to begin collecting evidence. Check the bear rug on the floor (1/11), read the Diary on the bed (2/11), and loot the Cat Collar (3/11) off the statue near the laptop. Look at the emails on the computer (starlight). This step will provide some contact information on a doctor in North Prague. You must go to him to learn some additional information before confronting the killer in order to earn the side mission’s achievement. So, continue collecting the evidence for now, but know that you will have to make another trip to North Prague and come back to complete this mission.

Exit the bedroom and head through the kitchen. There is a Broken Frame (4/11) on the floor before entering the living room. At this point the objective criteria to Find Clues has completed and you are told to Follow the Trail, there is no real benefit to keep collecting items.

In the corner between the shelves in the back and the bathroom is an eBook, which is only available once this mission begins.

  • eBook (71/75) IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE HARVESTER by Angela Gunn

Head through the open closet door and through the vent, following the trail of blood off the side of the building to the alley below. The trail leads to the sewers, but ignore that for now, instead head back to Capek Fountain Station and travel to Pilgrim Station.

You will want to head South from Pilgrim Station to the side mission marker on Lekarna Pharmacy. Once inside, make sure you have the Social Enhancer augment before speaking to Dr. Nicholas Cipra. The conversation can go however you like, but when he subtly suggests you eliminate her, on the 5th dialogue choice, be sure to select OTHER WAY. This will initiate a quick response persuasion event, be sure to select cn_LT CONTRADICT, before he finishes speaking, to learn of a deactivation phrase. This passphrase is critical to earning the achievement and without it you are unable to complete the mission accordingly.

Once you finished talking to the doctor, head up the stairs to an apartment. You will need to move the refrigerator to expose a cavity in the wall, where an eBook resides.

  • eBook (72/75) TAI YONG MEDICAL REPORT Case Study: 698843

Now, make your way back to the metro and return to Capek Fountain Station.

Armed with the passphrase, you should now return to the alley near Zelen Apartments, and follow the blood trail down, into the sewers. Continue to follow the blood trail through the gate nearby and crawl through a tunnel. Open the door at the other end to begin a conversation with Daria. The choices here are important so be sure to select the following:

Now, leave the sewers, return to Capek Fountain Station and travel to Monument Station.

Carefully exit the station, you want to head across the street to Policie.

In the basement, hack the keypad in the back of the room, next to the lockers, to free K and Bones. Speak to K and select the PLAY IT COOL option when given a choice, in order to remain stealthy and alarm free. This should complete all side mission and random stuff. All that remains is to go to Chikane’s Place and disembark for the final mission. You will not be returning so make sure you are ready to continue before leaving.

*** A FINAL NOTE: You should check to ensure that you will have 72 of 75 eBooks before embarking on the final mission. If not, you missed one as there are only 3 in the next area. If you did miss one, check your Database against the list of all of them in the eBooks guide page to figure out which one you missed. If it is in Prague, it may still be there so go check; if it is not, then unfortunately you will have to either load a previous save before that opportunity has passed or try again on the next playthrough to earn all of them.

You should also have The Jack of All Augments unlocked by now. XP can still be gained, but there may not be enough opportunity remaining to earn enough Praxis to complete this requirement if it has not been done already. Remember, you can complete the next mission to unlock a New Game+ which will carry over all augments earned and even reset them once you reach Koller for the first time; allowing you to redistribute points to earn this achievement, as long as enough have earned a minimum 31 Praxis. However this will be incompatible with a playthrough on the hardest difficulty, so this will require some extra play time to get.

Finally, if you still need the Invisible War achievement, be sure that you have the Glass-Shield Cloaking upgrade, Cloaked Takedown Support, and Smart Vision in order to accomplish the achievement in the upcoming area as well. ***

Begin by meeting Nathaniel Brown, then use for the elevator to reach CSO; there is nothing else on the roof.

Approach the mission marker and speak to the Security Guard behind the window, directly ahead. Select either TRICK or BACK OFF to avoid an alarm when given the option.

You will want to get into this room, there is an eBook on the desk against the glass. Hack the South door, or go through the laser security grid, and around to the other door, to avoid hacking. Once in the room, grab the eBook while avoiding the camera.

  • eBook (73/75) TARVOS: MISSION STATEMENT & COMPANY BIO Defer, Defend, Deliver

To avoid an alarm later on in the mission, you will want to knock out all the guards on this level. Shut off cameras linked to various security laptops as needed, to aid in maintaining stealth as you progress.

Make your way through the restricted area, Central Security Office, to an office on the upper floor to the North. Inside Slater’s Office, hack the terminal (5359) to activate the Security Override Switch and identify some terrorists in disguise.

Make sure you clear the area of guards before you return to the elevator, and take it down to RECEPTION.

Once you get off, you will notice that all of the Tarvos guards will have a yellow skull over their heads. You must eliminate all of them, 11 in total. Failure to do so will trigger an unavoidable alarm later on.

This is not a difficult feat, since most will stop near objects or a structure where you can utilize a cover/corner takedown. While there are plenty of watchful eyes, this area is very misleading in making you second guess takedowns and fearing being spotted. Just be sure you take cover before performing a takedown, to pull the target behind cover and remain unseen.

To start, it is helpful to use a multi-tool (or cloak and hack) on the locked door behind the first guard near the elevator. Then cloak and walk in, grabbing cover along the wall. Use the EG Switch here, then corner takedown the guard outside the door to pull him into the room and away from the camera and other potential witnesses. There is also a security hub here that will allow you to deactivate all the cameras in the area. Now you can go through the remainder of this area and takeout the remaining security guards with fewer obstacles to contend with.

The required keycard to reach the next area, is on the body of the security guard on the lowest level. This guard appears to be an older man with white hair. He is usually standing near the dance floor; or headed to/from the Men’s Restroom to the East on the same level. Be sure to loot his body for the Security Keycard.

Near the DJ on Level 1, look along the North glass wall near the set of stairs for a yellow L-shaped couch with an eBook to pick up.

  • eBook (74/75) PORT IN A STORM Part 5 of Devine James’ biographical series of Nathaniel Brown

With all guards incapacitated, get to the upper floor and use the looted Security Keycard on the locked door with the mission marker.

Continue forward and around to the next door with a mission marker located inside the room.

***FYI - This hallway is a U shape, at the end is a room with a third guard. Under a desk in the room is a hidden weapons crate that contains the Kill Switch item, needed for an achievement. However, this is considered lethal and will void the Pacifist goal. This item will be used during the hard playthrough, after earning Pacifist on this run. I put this here only to provide a sense in where the item is located so you don't think it was missed and to explain why it is not used on this runthrough. ***

Inside the kitchen area, speak to Miller, and you will eventually be given a choice between the Delegates or Marchenko. Per an achievement, you actually need to do both, however it is important that you choose to SAVE THE DELEGATES first, since there is an eBook in the area that cannot be obtained if this is completed last.

Before heading on, speak to Miller once more. Be sure to choose ADMINISTER ANTIDOTE for an achievement.

Proceed through the door on the right and follow the mission markers towards the delegates.

There is technically a timer associated with completing both of these objectives, so it might be a good idea to save here in case you are unsuccessful. To be honest, the time constraint is fairly lenient, reportedly 10 minutes; which is more than enough to get this accomplished. Just be sure to keep moving, utilizing cloaking to avoid hostiles in the area as needed. An ample supply of Biocells would be helpful in this case. As long as you don’t stop to knock out a bunch of guards, you should be fine.

Once you exit the double doors, around the first corner you should come upon two Gold Masks talking in front of a turret.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INVISIBLE WAR - (second attempt)

Make a SAVE here, just in case you are spotted so you can continue without an alarm.

Once the two guys are done talking, they will cloak and walk away. Approach them and turn on both Glass-Shield Cloaking and Smart Vision to get the prompt to for a takedown. Without Smart Vision, you shouldn't be able to take a cloaked opponent down; however, some have reportedly been able to still do a takedown by mashing on the button several times. Personally, I was able to get it by shooting one with the stun gun first, then doing a takedown before they were completely knocked out by the shock. However, the intended way to get this is to use Smart Vision, so you officially “see” them, allowing you to get the prompt for a takedown to pop up.

You will need to make your way through the area to the East, to an elevator at the end. Now, go up to the green wall on the North side of the room, there is a well hidden Door here that you can open. At the end of the revealed area is an elevator which you can access with the Security Keycard, obtained from earlier. This takes you directly to the final confrontation.

During the conversation, if you have any of the devices, like the Kill Switch, you will be given the choice to use it for a few seconds. You DO NOT want to use any device, instead let the timer run out or select FIGHT.

This fight is incredible easy if you have the Stun Gun.

Cloak, then quietly approach him from behind. Once you get within takedown range, shoot him in the back with the Stun Gun, followed up quickly with a takedown. Be sure to reengage your cloak after the takedown, to ensure the drones or turret do not spot you... it really is that easy.

The drones and turret will explode, and you have a few second to loot a Praxis Kit (20/20) off Machenko’s body if you need/want it. If you are quick enough, you can even assign it in a last ditch effort to earn The Jack Of All Augments if it is still needed. Watch to ensure that Smooth Operator or Ghost pop up as an XP Reward, before the scene plays out. Otherwise you may have been spotted by a security device and will need to redo the final fight.

You will then be able to reassign all Praxis earned, which should net you more than enough to upgrade points to spend appropriately on just the first level of each skill, unlocking the achievement.

You will now need to complete a NEW GAME on the difficulty rating - I NEVER ASKED FOR THIS, to finish all remaining story related achievements.

Having completed the game once, you will unlock the I NEVER ASKED FOR THIS difficulty. You must start a New Game on this difficulty rating, since New Game+ will play on the same difficulty from the first playthrough.

Only start a New Game+ if you still need The Jack of All Augments achievement. You will likely have to make it to Koller to reset your augs, then you should have enough to assign them appropriately to unlock this achievement. Afterwards, exit this game and start a New Game on the hardest difficulty.

-----------------------------Hard Playthrough-----------------------------

BEWARE! On this difficulty, you only have one life. If you die you have to start over from the beginning, your save file is actually deleted. You also have just one save file, so save often. If you cause an alarm, it may be better to just revert instead of fighting through the enemies. If you are close to death or know you are going to die, don't chance it; quickly hit start and reload to a previous save. Even if it has been a half hour or so since your last save, it is better to start there than it is from the very beginning. If you do get killed, quickly dashboard out of the game, before the death scene plays out and erases the save. You will then want to load a new game before jumping back in, so it restarts the game and doesn't just pick up were you left off. Due to the risk of death, it is still very beneficial to be stealthy as much as possible. Save often and reload when things look bad.

You do not have to worry about anything outside of the main mission objectives. Hopefully, you earned Tablet Collector, Foxiest of the Hounds, and Pacifist on the first playthrough, which will make this hard playthrough that much easier and quicker to complete. You can be more liberal with stealth and lethality if needed, but avoid open conflict and alarms to prevent a quick death. If you did not earn these three, unless you want to do a third playthrough, you will need to be considerate of those requirements as you progress. If you missed Tablet Collector, you will need to make the appropriate decisions to gain access to the eBooks, which will run counter to some of the remaining achievements. Therefore, you will want to Save, complete the achievement, then revert to the previous save to ensure all of the eBooks can be acquired.

For this playthrough, I am not going to do as in-depth as the first. Explore whatever you want, do whatever side missions and Points of Interest you want, just remember that these are mostly not necessary. I will point out the choices and path to take for the remaining achievements, but you will have the freedom to decide the remainder of your time.

You will still want to earn XP and find Praxis Kits on your travels, because you will want to upgrade your skills to get through the missions in the most efficient way possible.

Augments to get should follow the previous guide listed in the General Hints and Tips page that was followed for the first playthrough. I recommend adhering to the 1-6 as listed, except Punch Through Walls. Then add upgrades to Sarif Series 8 Energy Converter to improve energy supply, and the Glass-Shield cloaking to reduce energy costs for stealth. Hacking Stealth is also helpful to be more efficient in hacking and avoid being spotted or having to rely on software to get through locks.

DUBAI

Run through the level once again, takeout whoever is in the way but you should know where to go to complete this. If you need to, go back to the DUBAI page to help get through the area. Skip the tutorials this time, and the three locked door’s codes are 0451 (have to turn power on), 4801 (fence area by elevators), and 0682 (atrium). At the atrium, jump off the top and Icarus Strike to land. Rush to the helicopter, as you avoid being shot and killed by the attackers.

PRAGUE

For this playthrough, you will need to go get the Calibrator before going to meet Koller the first time. So, when you are ready, take the metro to Monument Station.

Use the ladder access point behind Tech Noir, to drop in near the underground casino. This time, you will need to sneak in and take the Calibrator. Use the pipes above the door, just like before, to gain entry to the bathroom and the upper floor here. You need to go the office at the other end and open the safe (4863) in the corner. Take the Neuroplasticity Calibrator then leave casino and sewers, avoiding a conversation with Otar altogether. Go to the nearest metro and travel to Capek Fountain Station.

Go to Koller’s store, deal with or avoid the Dvali to get to the hidden elevator and down to the workshop. Gain access to your augments, then while speaking to Koller afterwards, he will bring up the Calibrator; select GIVE at this point to hand the device over and earn an achievement. You will still have to wait to get it installed until much later though.

Time Traveler

You managed to bring Koller the Neuroplasticity Calibrator before he even asked you for it.

Complete the remaining Main Missions as they come up. Go to TF29, travel to Ruzicka Station, return with TF29 with the evidence, Meet Vega at the L.I.M.B. clinic, then leave for Golem City.

GOLEM CITY

Having already completed the penguin escort, this should be a lot quicker.

Stop in to speak with the contact's wife, trek through the security checkpoints to the holding cells, ignore saving the brother, and leave the checkpoints to reach Svedry Market. At the top of the stairs, past the daycare, stalk the bald police officer to a secluded area to knock him out and take the elevator keycard from the body. Use the keycard on the elevator to reach the Throat, meet Marchenko and proceed through to the keypad (3354) that will extend the bridge to the elevator leading to ARC Territory. Proceed through RVAC Row then Ridit Station to reach the elevator by the turret leading to Talos Rucker. Debate him then reach the extraction point to return to Prague.

PRAGUE 2

When you return, go to Miller’s apartment to grab the NSN Keycard from the hidden room, then go meet Vega before heading down to TF29. Speak to Smiley and use the NSN in Miller’s office. Exit TF29, investigate the bombing at Stanek’s and talk to the witness, Nosey (give alcohol). Go to the RedLight District to confront Stanek in the Irish Stool. Go meet Janus near Monument Station, then escape the drones afterwards. Once contacted by Stanek, go to the metro to be contacted by Vega about the bank heist.

If you happened to miss the Tablet Collector achievement on the first playthrough, make a save here, to revert to after following the next steps for the God Killer achievement in order to progress and obtain the eBook from Palisades Bank Corporate Vault.

Choose ALLISON and head to Capek Fountain Station. Exit the metro and meet Stanek at the entrance to the Church of the Machinegod. You will need to carefully make your way past the Cultists to the very top where Allison Stanek is in room 96. Once inside you will have to debate Allison, reply with Critique --> Focus --> Critique --> Counsel to complete the mission and earn an achievement.

You completed the debate with Allison Stanek.

Head back to Chikane to leave for the G.A.R.M. Facility.

G.A.R.M.

You should be able to rush through this, if you have Remote Hack and/or Icarus Dash this is even easier. Once you wake up, be sure to contact Vega to avoid the alarm. Get to the drill control room and drill the core, go through the access point in the ceiling here to use the crane to get across the hanger and reach the hole drilled above the tunnel to reach Hangar 2. Icarus Dash to the elevated platform near the large tent, and use the tent to get across much of the area to the back corner where the stairs are located. Head up the stairs and through the next area to the elevator leading to the Helipad and leave for Prague.

PRAGUE 3

Exit the workshop to meet with Vega. Get to TF29 and speak to Miller. Go to the RedLight District and use the rooftop of the Red Queen to get into Dvali Territory. Go through the Theater to Radich’s office in the basement, then leave to the metro through the vault door in the corner (must have Icarus Landing). Travel to Capek Fountain Station and meet Vega at Jensen’s apartment. Finally, return to the metro and travel to Pilgrim Station to get to Chikane’s and leave for London.

LONDON (APEX CENTRE)

Take the elevator to CSO. Reach Slater’s Office, take out all the guards before return to the elevator to get to Reception. Take out all the disguised Gold Masks and loot the Keycard. Go through the security door at the top of the area, circle all the way around to the room at the end with a third guard. Loot Marchenko’s Kill Switch from the Weapons Briefcase under the desk with the unlocked computer on it. Go to the kitchen area to speak with Miller. You must deal with Marchenko, but you will still have to at least check on the Delegates. However, it makes the most sense to go to the delegates first, then use the elevator behind the secret panel in the VIP room to reach Marchenko. If you still need the final eBook for Tablet Collector, then you can pick it up once you reach the Delegates as well. Once you get to Marchenko, opt to use the Kill Switch, you will have only a few seconds to select this, so be quick to do so. This will end the “fight” quickly and reward you with an achievement.

3 guidesOffline Game ModeSingle PlayerDifficulty SpecificMultiple Playthroughs Required

Congrats on beating the story! Next up Breach Mode.

Breach offers a new challenge for players looking to get a little more from Deus Ex, but you must have an internet connection in order to access this game mode. The only achievements needed for the base 1000 gamerscore are to complete the first Darknet file and reach 100% completion on each network through Network_3A. There are also 2 free Breach Updates, which add new nodes, another network, and two additional Darknet Files tied to two additional corporations. In all, the updates adds 10 more achievements to work on as you progress through each Network; and since these updates are free, I have combined these within the guide below.

Each Network is broken down and outlined in the following page of the walkthrough, \\Network_, to show which nodes are required to obtain 100% completion. The Completion Rate %, indicated on the Network road map is not the same as the criteria for the achievement, so follow the guide to ensure you complete all that is necessary. The final page of the walkthrough, Darknet, has a breakdown for each Darknet File. You are only able to work on one at a time and in a specific order. Of the three Darknet File achievements, one is associated with completing the first, and the other two correspond to the final two Darknet Files. Therefore, you will have to complete all five storylines to earn the 3 corresponding achievements.

There is a lot of extra information that is helpful for being successful on this game mode, but much of it is geared towards reaching the leaderboard or at least completing the secondary objectives on a server node. Since that is not necessarily pertinent to completing the Networks, I will not include all that I have learned. However, I will include some beneficial information below that should help increase your chances to succeed in your efforts to simply complete each node as required, especially in the higher tiered Networks so you can earn 100% of the gamerscore available.

NETWORKS

Each Network consists of a number of server nodes, which you “hack” by entering the digital realm to complete the primary objective. You get a glimpse of this in the main story when entering the NSN. The completion objective can be Extract – an amount of data from Data Towers, Eliminate – a number of enemies, Collect – a number of fragments, Boss (PRIME) – defeat the Prime Defense Unit, or Transport – Retrieve and Exit with the Data Sphere. Each Server node, is essentially a different layout of a handful of base Server maps; with varying completion objectives, restrictions, and modifiers to provide some degree of variety.

Each node also has three secondary objectives that can be completed to earn additional rewards, like firewall key fragments, credits, or ability/weapon parts. Do not get hung up on these objectives. While the All Data aspect is easiest to obtain, you will have to surpass the completion objective and locate all remaining data and exit before your time expires and you are locked out. This can become difficult because of added security once you reach your data objective and the pressure of trying to escape in time. The Time and High Score objectives are more difficult and will require upgraded Augments and Weapons, and the use of patches/modifiers to have a reasonable chance to achieve. None of these are necessary to earn any achievement, so it is up to you whether you attempt to complete these.

Ghost Network

In addition to the standard 6 Networks, a 24hr Ghost Network is also available. This requires at least one Firewall key to enter and offers various rewards as you progress. It is only available for 24hrs, after which it resets and initiates a new set of server nodes and rewards, requiring another Firewall key to access. The server nodes included are a random mix of various nodes from the standard Networks and Darknet Files, so there shouldn’t be anything new, unless of course you haven’t reached that node yet. The rewards are helpful but the cost is high and might not be practical to attempt this new Network right at the start. I recommend waiting until you get comfortable with the completion requirements, have leveled up somewhat, and have additional Firewall keys that are not needed to progress. Once you complete 5 server nodes in total, in the same or over numerous Ghost Networks, you will unlock the achievement for this.

ITEMS

All items are obtained through reward/booster packs; which are earned, rewarded, or purchased from the SHOP with Credits earned through progressing in the Networks or completing Challenges. Credits should be used to buy Elite Packs from the shop whenever possible. The high chance of A and S Rank items is worth the cost and will help gain better items, overall, than buying a bunch of cheaper packs.

Weapons

Weapons found in packs are random, so it is hard to say what to use and how to approach each server node. However, as a general rule of thumb, equip your best weapon and save special ammo for Prime Targets or Eliminate objectives.

The best weapon is the Rank-S Battle Rifle, in my opinion; however, a Rank-S or Rank-A of whatever you have will be effective if used appropriately. Each weapon has its strengths and weaknesses, so utilize whatever works for a given scenario. You can upgrade different attributes of a weapon, such as Damage Output, Ammo Capacity, and Reload Speed. Each weapon can only be upgrade a certain number of times, meaning not all attributes can be maximized so plan accordingly. Damage Output should be the top priority. However, each weapon is better served by different attributes; for instance, reload speed and recoil is great for a Shotgun, whereas ammo capacity and accuracy is excellent for a combat rifle. Utilizing these attributes will help increase the weapon’s strengths, or minimize its weaknesses, to better increase its lethality in combat.

Ammo

Most weapons have a basic supply of regular ammo and may have the ability to use either Armor Piercing or EMP rounds to start. This first clip of standard ammo gets refreshed at the start of each level. If you need more you will have to supply that from your own stock, which is found in packs and is depleted as it gets used. Always try to complete a server with no additional ammo at first, takedowns or avoiding enemies will help preserve your supply. If you must shoot, try for headshots and upgrade the damage output on weapons to use less ammo. Save your supply of specialty rounds for harder targets, like Prime Targets. These Boss types have a ton of health and you may find yourself short on the ammo needed to eliminate them if you do not plan accordingly.

EMP Ammo – does 90% of regular ammo damage, but can disable cameras, turrets, lasers, robots, and drones. These rounds can also negate the effects of the Titan or Glass-Shield Cloaking, making it easier to target or kill these enemies. Several rounds that hit will build up an EMP blast, stunning or knocking down enemies and allowing you to put out significant damage to an incapacitated foe for a short window.

AP Ammo – or Armor Piercing, does 130% of regular ammo damage. This ammo also passes through armor, meaning less rounds are needed to takedown targets, especially those that are heavily armored or bosses.

STUN, LAG, and CRTL Ammo do no damage but have varying effects, including stun, slow, or team change on the enemy. This ammo can only be used with a Stun Rifle or Disruptor Pistol (respectively), not really helpful/useful if you have other options.

Weapon Abilities

These upgrades can be attached to Rank-B, or better, weapons. These are equipped like an attachment, but can be removed or interchanged as much as you want. The bonus is only applied to the weapon it is attached to, so changing weapons during combat will lose that effect, same as removing the ability. Upgrading these can help increase lethality specific to the ability described. Headshot Damage, Surprise Damage, and Elite Damage are highly recommended to better your fight against Prime and Elite Units in later Networks.

Viruses

Viruses will help negate the effects of AI improvements as you progress into the higher tier Networks. After Network_1A, the AI will gradually improve upon three various traits that make each server node more difficult. Viruses can be found in reward/booster packs and will reduce these improvements for a given trait when used. This lowers the difficulty, which means less points; but as long as you are not going for the High Score objective, it shouldn’t matter. The lowest level for each trait is 1.0 so make sure that you get the most out of each virus before you decide to use it. These are helpful if you are having trouble completing server nodes in the later Networks, especially the PRIME Target Objective nodes. Although the Prime still provides a challenge, reducing the AI’s Damage and/or Defense can help you come out on top.

Firewall Keys

Collect 10 fragments to create a key. The best way to earn these is to complete the All Data secondary objective for a given server node; earning 1-2 fragments, just once, upon the first time completing the objective. Fragments can also found in reward/booster packs (it is random), or a full key can be bought from the shop for 50,000 credits, 20 chipsets (real world money), or traded for 1 praxis kit (not recommended). These will be required at certain points to reach reward nodes, progress to the next Network, or enter a Ghost Network.

Expansion Items

Occasionally, you can be rewarded with Expansion Kits, randomly of course, from Booster/Reward packs. The Kit must be moved from the Reserve to your inventory to gain the benefit. These Expansion Kits can boost Health (HP), Energy (EN), or augment Memory (GB). The higher the grade of the Kit the larger the item and benefit, which makes inventory space limited for other items. Once you acquire any 6 kits, move them all to your inventory and complete any mission to unlock an achievement.

CHALLENGES

At some point within Network_1A, you are given a tutorial on CHALLENGES by Shadowchild. The three issued by Shadowchild are reset each day, they are random so some are easier than others. Winning the challenge will reward a Victory pack and if you lose, you are still rewarded with a Backup Pack, as long as you fail all three times. You can Refuse the challenge, which will remove it from your list but you do not get rewarded. Other members of the community can also issue a challenge for you to try and beat, same concept as Shadowchild’s challenges. These are the score or time a fellow gamer posted and you will need to do better.

You should also challenge gamers within the community to beat your score or time on a given server node. This doesn’t need to be a leaderboard worthy score or time, simply complete a server node, then select cn_Y to Send Challenge at the Infiltration Results screen. Select a random gamer, or friend, to issue the challenge. Do this three times to earn another achievement. Easier challenges may help them earn an achievement if they have trouble beating Shadowchild, but harder challenges will likely see them fail and earn you a Victory pack. AUGMENTS

Augments require Praxis Kits (just like in story mode) and Memory Space (GB) to be able to equip the skill. Each level up earn 1 Praxis Kit and +50 GB to memory for equipping augments, you can even find GB Expansion items, randomly, from reward/booster packs to increase the augs you can equip if that becomes a problem. Below is a list of augs to unlock and equip, which will help with survivability, stealth, and completion capability for collecting the data requirements, especially as you progress into harder nodes.

  • MOVEMENT
    • JUMP.aug
      • MULTIJUMP.pkg (mandatory in tutorial)
      • MULTIJUMP_3x.pkg (2)
      • JUMPMOD.pg (2)

These are incredibly helpful to reach different heights without having to spend time going the long way around or find and stack boxes to reach greater heights. These should be the first two skills purchased.

  • DEFENSE
    • CLOAK.aug (1)
      • ENERGY_RECYCLER.pkg (2)
      • ENERGY_RECYCLER_XL.pkg (3)

Cloaking will help with stealth and getting past security. Stealth restrictions are prevalent in later Networks so this is an important augment to get as you progress. The Recycler upgrades help slow Energy depletion, the final (XL) is expensive so pick it up at some point after the rest of the remaining recommended augments.

  • DATALINK
    • FOCUS.aug (1)
      • FRAME_OPTIMIZER.pkg (1)
      • FRAME_OPTIMIZER_XL.pkg (2)

Focus can slow everything around you, letting you get through areas taking less damage, slowing the rate of being spotted, and allow you to put out more damage to enemies if needed. This is helpful to get through a level with speed and stealth, and helps you put down Prime Targets with extreme prejudice.

Achievement Specific Augments

These are not critical to anything but earning the achievement, so you can wait to get these until you are content with your current capabilities, or simply want to check them off as complete.

  • DEFENSE
    • TITAN.aug (1)

Once you have this, you will need to eliminate a Prime Unit, with the Titan augment active; easier said than done. You will want to reduce the Prime’s health before activating the Titan Augment so you have the energy needed to keep it active until the Prime is destroyed. This can be done on any Prime Target, just make sure there is not an augment restriction on the node. To make things easier, it is best done when the AI Defense Status is as close to 1.0 to prevent them from becoming overpowered. Once you accomplish this feat, you will unlock the corresponding achievement.

Burning Neodymium

Breach: Eliminate a Prime Unit while the Titan.aug is active.

Burning Neodymium
1 guideOnline Game ModeSingle Player

  • VISION
    • RENDERER.aug
      • ALARM_CANCEL.pkg (1)

This one is fairly simple. Once acquired, just enter a server node that doesn’t restrict Augments or starts with an alarm; get spotted by security/enemy to initiate an alarm, then activate the augment to negate the alarm and earn an achievement, it costs a good amount of energy so don’t use any other augments until after.

Not The Rippers You Are Looking For

Breach: Use the Alarm_Cancel.pkg in a server.

1 guideOnline Game ModeSingle Player

Other useful Augments that are recommended include:

  • EMP_DEFENSE upgrade for the TITAN augment
  • EN_BOOSTER_MAX upgrades for the EN_MODULE
  • REMOTE_HACK upgrades (various)

EMP_DEFENSE is the cheapest way to allow you to cross EMP flooring and still access data towers. EN_BOOSTER_MAX provides more EN supply to use the Glass-Shield Cloak or Focus longer. Remote-Hacking upgrades opens up the ability to shutdown, explode, or turn various security measure against each other, giving you a competitive advantage. These tend to be expensive though, so consider these carefully and after you have the other recommended Augments and upgrades.

Included below is an outline for each Network map. I try to show how the nodes are separated on the map by separating clusters of nodes by Hyperlinks; which are unlocked like any other node, and noted by the server node that will unlock it once complete. Hyperlinks will be numbered to show what clusters are linked by what hyperlink. Occasionally, there are server nodes that are not linked to any cluster, and cannot be reached by moving from node to node. Instead, you will need to use cn_RT for Free Movement to move across the map and find it; which is also noted below.

The numbered bullets in each Network’s outline reflect the server nodes required to earn 100% for a given Tier and the corresponding achievement. Other nodes that are tied to other achievements in the Free Breach Update, are shown in the Additional Nodes section for each Network. You will not find the \DF_ nodes that are associated with the Darknet Files on this page, instead these will be included in the following page of the guide, The Darknet. Progressing in the Darknet Files for PICUS and Santeau Group will uncover \DF_ nodes that are both required to conclude their respective Darknet File, and contribute to the completion of the 5 PICUS servers and 10 Santeau Group servers achievements. For PICUS, there are 8 server nodes in total, 4 are \DF_ nodes, so a minimum of 1 of the servers listed below must be completed for the achievement. For Santeau Group, there are 13 server nodes in total, 5 of which are \DF_ nodes, so a minimum of 5 of the servers listed below must be completed for the achievement.

You are introduced to The Darknet at the start of Breach mode. You will go through the introduction with ShadowChild step by step; this 7 part process is the basic outline for Darknet Files. You will unlock your first File in Network_1A and have to go through each file, chat, data, and Darknet File nodes (indicated by \DF_ instead of S01_) uncovered until you have obtained the necessary evidence to complete the case. This secondary storyline will cost credits at times to progress, since you need to pay other Rippers to help explain or provide evidence. You can choose various dialogue options throughout your interactions with ShadowChild and the other Rippers; these decisions may have some impact on future steps and conversations. For instance, at one point you are given the option to turn over evidence to a spy in exchange for credits; the impact is a hefty pay out, but later on Rippers are not pleased and will charge you more to assist in other efforts. There may also be some changes between specific steps, but these should be minor and will not distort the guide by very much, if at all.

Albeit some minor variances, the below guide will outline each step for the Darknet File in the order they are unlocked. I did not bother indicating which Network each \DF_ node is on, since selecting it from the Darknet File will warp you to it. You cannot access a \DF_ node if you have not reached that point in the Network. Therefore, you may have to bounce back and forth between working on the File and progressing within the Networks.

This should complete the base game's 1000 gs and the Free Breach Updates. Next up will be the paid DLC.

You can access this DLC from Jensen's Stories

This standalone story picks up after the events of the main story and re-unites Jensen with an old colleague from the events of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

From the start, you are provided with a generic loadout of Jensen's augmentations, and supplied with 13 Praxis to upgrade as you see fit. There are opportunities to find and earn additional Praxis during your play as well, but stealth should remain a focus and an achievement will require non-lethal actions. I have included a few augments that will be essential for ease of completion later on, but you have more freedom in your character build for this short story. This really is much of the same that was seen on the main playthrough will one small environmental change near the end, but with the right augments this is easy to overcome. There is no difficulty related achievement so play on whatever rating you want.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once you regain control of Jensen, assign your Praxis.

At a minimum, you should acquire Hacking Capture Lvl 2-3, Turret Domination, and Robot Domination, for a cost of 4 Praxis.

Then there are helpful augments to get, like Icarus Landing (2), Optimized Musculature (1), Klipspringer (2), Remote Hacking -all (3), Glass-Shield Cloaking (2-4), or Hacking Stealth (1-3); but these are completely up to you.

When you are ready to continue, exit the metro to Blade Plaza.

There are two Praxis Kits which can be picked up before proceeding with the story objective.

First, head for three ladder icons at the Northwest section of the map, between a Wine Store and Palisades Blade Lobby. Use the ladder to descend, then quickly run to the back where you can find the breaker to turn off the electricity. At the far back end is a living area for a homeless person; and in the far back left corner, between the propane tank and the boxes near the eBook, is a Praxis Kit (1/7).

Leave the area by heading back up the ladder, then head around the buildings to reach a courtyard, of sorts, in front of Klimova Apartments. There is an apartment on the second story along this Northern edge, above a red awning near the Mini Storage units. Inside, yo ucan move the refrigerator, if you have Optimized Musculature, to find Praxis Kit (2/7).

Exit the apartment and enter the nearby Klimova Apartments. The first objective is to meet Slaw at a bar in a restricted area. To get through, unnoticed, you will need to go through here.

Hack the Level 2 security door and go upstairs to reach Apt 3A. Hack the Level 1 door and go into the bedroom. Interact with the painting to find a keypad (8222) which unlocks a hidden room through the closet. In some Drawers in the corner is a Praxis Kit (3/7). You will be directed here for an objective later on, but not getting any items inside, beforehand, will result in not being able to obtain them after the fact.

Head to the lowest floor, which will lead into the restricted area. You will want to make your way to Zatopek Bar, and into the basement to find your mark.

Continue the story by meeting Pritchard at Konverz Kafe in the Southwest.

Afterwards, return to Apt 3A at Klimova Apartments to Meet ShadowChild inside the secret room behind the closet. Select HELP HOW before FINISH UP on the third dialogue option, this will provide a passphrase needed for an upcoming achievement. Be sure to select Accept when offered to receive a figurine from ShadowChild.

Leave the apartment and head over to Palisades Blade Lobby. Be sure to stop and speak to the man shouting on the stairs, Niko Saridakis, which will begin a secondary objective to investigate his wife's death.

Enter the building and speak to the Blade Employee at the front desk clerk. Select the phrase BABA-YAGA 50 to gain access to the elevators and you unlock an achievement.

Take the elevator to Atrium 1F.

This area is completely restricted, so deal with the guards and workers or avoid them as needed to get around. Remember, you can technically raise an alarm in this initial area, but it is best to avoid one if you can. Also, only non-lethal means to incapacitate NPC's.

Atrium 1F

In the Human Resources area, to the West, is an office for Isabella Trembliska, Head of Human Resources. There is a wall safe (0622) containing a Praxis Kit (4/7).

Atrium 2F

Inside the West Maintenance Corridor 2F, you will find Slaw here in the hallway, alone. Approach him and he will let you through the door, even asking you to know him out.

Inside the East Maintenance Corridor 3F, just before the final hallway leading to an adjoined Office; behind padlocked door is a v, on the floor between the blue electrical maintenance cabinet and the wall.

The Office for Leona Rosolova, Head of Engineering, should have an objective marker . Here you can plant the figurine provided by ShadowChild.

You are rewarded with the password to the computer here. Be sure to access it (trustno1) and read all of the emails to find Evidence (1/4) on the Saridakis Murder.

Atrium 4F

If you can get on top of the Client Management Department, there is a Praxis Kit (7/7) here, about center. It would be Level 5, technically, according to the map.

Atrium 5F (Map - Level 6)

Executive Suite - Access Ashani Talwar’s computer and read all the emails to progress the primary objective, and find Evidence (2/4) on the Saridakis Murder. Exit the Office Suite and head to the West end of the upper level to use the Funicular, to reach the Server Farm.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*** Make a SAVE Here, just in case. You will need to complete this section without being detected (alarm) by the HeatEye security (cameras and drones)

Hopefully you followed my recommendation and already have (or can still get) the Hacking Augments - Turret and Robot Domination for this area. This will make it that much easier to get through unseen for an achievement.

Get through the first room to learn how the HeatEye works. Standing by a RED heat element in the room will render you invisible (essentially), like Glass-Shield Cloaking traditionally would have.

Run from Red spot to Red spot through the first room when it makes sense to do so; Remote Hacking or EMP ammo (with a silenced weapon) is also helpful here to disable the cameras. In the next room, access the two security hubs at the bottom of the stairs, to turn off Cameras, Drones, and Turrets, as well as open vault doors. Do this on BOTH hubs, since each have their own share of dedicated security. Aside from laser grid security, you should have free run of the area for now.

Use the stairs at the center of the area to reach the upper level. Enter the Southwest Chamber B to reach server room 209, which is filled with gas. If you have Implanted Rebreather great, if not you will have to be quick. You will want to circle around the left to reach a hologram terminal directly ahead of the door, there is a Pocket Secretary pinned between the computer and the wall. on the floor. You will have to read this item to obtain Evidence (3/4) on the Saridakis Murder.

Head over to the other marker, in server room 204, and access the Server Chamber Terminal. Retrieve the upgraded Pass-Port and head to the next objective marker at the West end of the area. Inside, on the North desk, move the Archive Boxes to find a Pocket Secretary. Reading this will discover Evidence (4/4) on the Saridakis Murder and unlock an achievement.

Clean Sweep
1 guideOffline Game ModeSingle PlayerMissable

You can access this DLC from Jensen's Stories

This standalone mission will reminisce on Jensen's first mission with TF29, taking you undercover inside a prison.

For this mission, all your augments are taken offline and you are left with none of the tools you have come to rely on during your prior gameplay. There is a way to get these back online, but you should avoid this path, since there is an achievement for completing this mission, Augment free. This means Praxis kits and XP are essentially irrelevant. Additionally, since your augments are disabled, you cannot perform takedowns; making the need for stealth or the use of a Stun Gun essential for completing this mission without killing per an achievement. Hacking is also impossible to do without augments, but you can still use a Multi-Tool or input the password/code to get through; therefore, Multi-Tools are essential. Since you are in prison, it worth noting that brandishing a weapon or holding a Multi-Tool (considered a weapon) is considered a hostile act, and will cause an alarm if you are caught by a guard. While the unique nature of this mission may present a challenge, especially if you have come to rely on augements during the rest of the entire game, earn the full 100% gamerscore on this DLC in a single playthrough is completely possible.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once your cell opens, enter the cell to the right, A-320.

Inside most cells will be at least one secret stash/area, in four possible locations (either side of the cell door close to the ground, on the ceiling above the toilet/sink, or a removable panel on the wall behind the toilet). These cells contain a number of various items: alcohol, crafting parts, hacking software, weapons, ammo, Neuropozyne, or even a Praxis kit. Praxis kits will be useless this playthrough as you should seek to complete this mission without ever getting your augments back; therefore, I will not point them out in this guide, nor will I attempt to get you to earn additional XP. This does make the story a little harder, but it’s nothing you can’t accomplish; plus, you will earn an achievement at the end for your troubles. Crafting parts are helpful for making multi-tools; but you should be able to find enough to get through the mission without having to craft any. You will want to utilize the stun gun as the primary weapon if you need to take down anyone; a pistol with EMP ammo is helpful later on as well, but it is not necessary.

Searching the cell (A-320) will result in finding a Neuropozyne in the Secret Panel next to the door.

Head across the hall to cell A-315. Searching this cell will result in finding some Alcohol in the Secret Panel next to the door. Both of these item are used to trade later for an achievement and multi-tools.

Make your way to the North end of the cell bock, to A-301. Inside is a Secret Panel behind the toilet that holds a Stun Gun. Be sure to grab this item, as it will be the main method used for takedowns throughout the mission.

Head down to Level 1, and make your way to the North side of Cell Block A. Just before exiting to the Yard, speak to the Inmate leaned up against the wall here. Select GIVE ALCOHOL to trade for a Multi-tool, earning an achievement.

Quid Pro Quo

Help out a fellow inmate by making a trade.

3 guidesOffline Game ModeSingle PlayerCollectableMissable

Exit to the Yard, climb the steps to interact with some inmates. When the conversation ends, you will be directed to The Fixer. You can find him in the Southeast corner of the Yard, behind an electrified fence near some stairs.

Wait for him to approach, if he isn’t already standing near the fence, and speak to him. Select REFUSE PILL when the option is presented. This will result in a severe handicap for the remainder of the DLC story, as you will not regain control of your augmentations. However, this will ensure you remain drug-free and earn an achievement at the end, so be sure to refuse.

Return to Cell Block A, and head for the Laundry room; it is the Southwest restricted room near the Showers. The keypad now has power to it, so punch in code 6014 (same code works on the opposite room, FYI) to unlock it. Unlike hacking, using the code is not a hostile act and therefore can be witnessed by a guard/camera; just be sure to enter the restricted area unseen, as that will raise suspicions.

Enter the restricted Laundry room, unseen. Inside, there are two things to do. The first is to interact with the Teddy, which is a Stuffed Plush Fox, which you'll acquire the Altered Biocell; a key item that should NOT be consumed. This item is going to be given away later on, as well as set up much of the later half of the story; enabling you to get through some of the more difficult areas much easier.

The second is to grab the Basketball in the corner. Carry the ball to the basketball court in the Yard. Stand about half court and aim a little above the rim, then throw the ball. This hoop is a lot larger than the one in the main story so this should be a very easy shot to make.

Don't Reach, Young Blood

Find the basketball and put it in the hoop.

Don't Reach, Young Blood
2 guidesOffline Game ModeSingle PlayerCollectable

Run back in to Cell Block A, head to up to Level 2. In A-214, another inmate is wanting to trade a Multi-tool for a Neuropozyne, which you should have from A-320.

Stop by A-212 and speak with Flossy, select MENTION THE BIOCELL to receive the General Access Keycard. Also, stop in to A-203 for some Stun Gun ammo, in the Secret Panel on the side of the door.

Heading up to level 3 and use the Keycard on the South door to the Security Room, entering only when the patrolling guard and camera aren’t looking. Be sure to use the EG Switch, near the door, to block the view into the room as well. You can find some more Stun Gun ammo in a locker in the corner.

Exit through the back door at the bottom of the stairs when you are ready. Avoid the panning camera and a patrolling guard when you exit. Head left and through the electrified gate at the end.

You will now be in between the Cell Blocks, with a storage room to the right. A camera is watching the door, making it difficult to enter the code unseen. It is easiest to simply stay behind cover and use a Multi-tool to unlock the door. then quickly enter to avoiding getting spotted.

In the South corner of the room is a set of lockers near another plush toy fox. The locker on the far left has a Stun Gun, and the one on the right contains the yellow B-Block Prisoner Jumpsuit. Interacting with this will swap outfits and earn an achievement.

Dressed for the Occasion

Blend in with the proper prisoner jumpsuit.

Dressed for the Occasion
3 guidesOffline Game ModeSingle PlayerCollectableMissable

This change in outfit will allow you to freely roam the Cell Block B side, since the restricted area will now switch to the Cell Block A side. If, for some reason, you need to return to the A side, you will need to switch back into the red jumpsuit to avoid suspicion.

Wearing the yellow jumpsuit, exit the maintenance storage room and head up the stairs along Cell Block B. There is a Cable Duct Door (vent), which will allow you to enter Cell Block B. Make your way across the top of the cells to find another Cable Duct Door to the West. This vent will lead you into the Security Room on Level 3. The guard in the next room will eventually walk over to this side so be aware of his movements to avoid being spotted.

Exit the Security Room and into the Cell Block when you can do so, unseen.

Head down to level 2, and exit out to the Yard. In the small holding cell in the East corner is where you will find Red Shoes. Talk to him and choose GIVE ALTERED BIOCELL for an achievement.

Return to Cell Block B. Go to cell B-204, to the right, where you can find a Secret Panel behind the toilet leading to a vent. Enter it and follow along to the right, keep dropping down to eventually reach a storage room (there is a 10mm Pistol in the dead end when you drop down here) on Level 1. There is a Silencer on the rack to the right once you exit the vent. It is recommended to equip this on the Pistol and use it with EMP ammo (some found in the lockers to the left) to help avoid security cameras, turrets, drones, etc. in the next half of the story. Just to reiterate, DO NOT kill anyone!

Go across to the Laundry Room and through the vent, to get behind the locked door and into the Showers where you will meet your contact.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the scene and talking to Stenger, the prisoners are rioting and you will need to avoid the officers who will shoot on sight. You do not have to worry about staying hidden, from here on out. Getting spotted or raising an alarm is not going to ruin any remaining achievement progress, but it is good to try and avoid alarms so you are not having to risk getting killed or any unwanted attention. Just be mindful that you do not kill anyone for the rest of the mission as well; use the Stun Gun on guards or EMP rounds on security defenses as needed, but don’t worry about trying to be completely stealthy.

Once you regain control, use the back door at the bottom of the stairs to exit the Security Room and avoid the Cell Block. Follow the path around to the left and enter the small security room at the end. Then, you can go through the window here to reach the Yard.

Head to the East, through the gate and up the steps to the Administration Building. Enter to find the Prisoner’s in control of the area, making this much easier to get around.

Once you enter the Processing Area, there are two long offices at the center of this area. Inside the East one, you will find a Pocket Secretary: “Schedule Change” - Evidence (1/2), inside the Drawer of a desk with an unlocked laptop. This Pocket Secretary is 1 of 2 that are required for an achievement later on and you MUST READ BOTH of them before confronting Mejia in Solitary Confinement.

In the area between the two offices, there is a Multi-tool on black box to pick up. There is also a Restricted Access Keycard on the body of a guard leaned up against the wall next to the security door to East Wing, at the South side of the Processing Area. Be sure to grab these items before heading up the stairs to the Observation Deck (Level 3).

Go to the East Wing Elevator, and use the Restricted Access Keycard to unlock the floor to Automated Security. Otherwise, you will need to select the floor for Solitary Confinement then take the stairs up to Automated Security.

Once on Level 5, Automated Security, the Southeast corner will have several desks; there is an unlocked safe under one of them. Inside the safe is a Pocket Secretary: “Recovered Turret Command Logs” - Evidence (2/2). Be sure to read it before once you obtain it.

Exit the area, heading South to Solitary Confinement; which can be accessed through a vent.

Once inside you will want to get to the Southwest corner and go through the Cable Duct Door to get into the space behind the cells. Drop down to the grate floor below and continue South. Once the path turns a corner, turn around and you’ll notice you can crouch under the floor, you were just on, to follow it North to a Cable Duct Door.

In the room past a turret, hit the Emergency Override System switch, then press each corner before pressing the center to complete the override.

Head back a few rooms and up the ladder. Use the Security terminal ahead to open the Cells, specifically Cell 4.

Ensure that you have read both Pocket Secretaries described in the guide above (as Evidence), then go to Cell 4 and speak to Mejia. Select WILBURG’S MURDER? for an achievement.

Get Mejia to confess to murdering Wilburg.

2 guidesOffline Game ModeSingle PlayerMissable

Finish with the conversation and leave the way you came in to return to the Tower. Take the elevator down to Infirmary/Morgue. Ignore Wortmuller, The Fixer, since you do not want to take the pill. Go through the East door to head towards Administration.

Once inside Administration, make your way to the elevator in the Southeast corner. Avoid the mines then take the elevator up to Management.

This portion of the floor is controlled by prisoners as well, so make your way to the Warden’s Office to meet up with Flossy. Grab the Multi-Tool off the back drawers and use the unlocked security terminal to open the vault doors, then enter the room behind the desk. Inside is a keypad (2027), which will allow you to DISENGAGE the Transport Tracking System.

Now take the elevator back down to Administration, and return to the Tower through the basement access tunnel from the Infirmary/Morgue. Take the elevator to Observation, then make your way North to the West Wing Elevator, dodging the attacking drones as you go. Deal with the inmate, I suggest the Stun Gun, then take the elevator up to the Roof Access.

This is the hardest area of the level (in my opinion), especially without augments. The central turrets and roaming security bots make getting around that much more difficult. On top of that, any raised alarm will likely result in up to 4 security drones joining in the search.

It is best to have at least one Multi-Tool for this area, since there is one available to pick up. There are enough crafting parts that can be found in the area to craft at least one Multi-Tool if you do not have one in your inventory. EMP ammo is also helpful to disable the cameras, but is not necessary if you have the Multi-Tools.

Follow the walkway from the elevator to the roof, you will arrive near the Western Turret; the other is at the far, east side. Each will be on an elevated platform with a single camera overlooking a keypad and button.

To shut these down, climb the stairs and duck behind the rail to be close enough to use a Multi-Tool on the keypad, while also remaining out of sight from the camera. Once the keypad is unlocked, you must interact with it and switch it to UNLOCK, doing so from the crouched position will allow you to remain unseen (glitch?). Then, press the MANUAL OVERRIDE button, below the keypad, to shut the turret down.

Go back down the steps, taking cover on the rail as needed to avoid being spotted by the camera. Use the Southern edge of the roof to make your way to the East side. Repeat the steps above, to shut off this turret, as well. If you need a second Multi-Tool, there is one on the Eastern most side of the turret, inside a pile of electrical cords. You can avoid being spotted by the camera by grabbing it from under the turret, if you carefully approach from the Southeast corner to within reach; or shoot the camera with EMP rounds to give yourself a few seconds to grab it then get behind the rail to use it on the keypad.

With both turrets offline, head back to the West side and back down the stairs to the elevator. Equip the Stun Gun and take the elevator down to the LANDING PAD.

Once you exit, you will meet up with Mejia and The Fixer. Mejia insists on a lethal approach, and you cannot talk him out of it without your augments. So, simply cooperate with him by selecting SIDE WITH MEJIA when given the chance. Once the conversation ends, quickly shoot Mejia with the Stun Gun to preserve your no killing policy and save the Fixer.
