The Jackbox Party Pack 2

Header

Hello and welcome to the walkthrough of "The Jackbox Party Pack 2".

If you found your way here, the chances are high that you are just looking for a relatively easy 1000G, or to finish off this game.

I just recently finished it off myself, and going through the solutions for some achievements, I noticed that quite a few are outdated or just don't work anymore. Instead of correcting every solution itself, I thought why not write a walkthrough for it, to make it as efficient as possible for other people, so they don't have to go through the same struggles.

This is a family/party game and in my opinion it is one of the best out there next to its prequel and sequels. The innovative thing about the Jackbox series, was the fact that your friends can join to play along with their phone, tablet, or laptop. The game consists of 5 different mini games. If everything works, you will be done pretty quick with 4 of them, the last one called Bomb Corp. will take a while (depends how much fun and patience you have at logic riddles/puzzles). Now if you are lucky enough you can get 8 friends together to get the achievements with you, but we'll say that's not the case. Thanks to some workarounds you can do it all solo, although it will take some organisational skills.

My name is Villa and I will guide you through this game.

Let's start!

Setup

As you probably already know, most of the achievements require you to play with multiple people. The problem we have is, that you can't just open all the tabs you need in one window, because websites store your login state in browser-specific cookies. As we need up to 9 different login states we'll basically need 9 different browsers. There are a number of ways you can get another browser window with its own cookies and stay logged into multiple accounts at once. As an example you could also open a lot of different browsers + incognito tabs and use all the devices available to get to the highest amount of players you'll need which is 9, but that's too much work and maybe not even possible for some people.

We will use the Firefox Add-On "Firefox Multi-Account Containers". What this does is, it allows you to sort your tabs in so called containers, all in one window. Every single one of these containers manages its own cookies, so the tabs wont interfere with each other. This makes it easy to manage all the accounts, the tabs are right next to each other and you dont have to switch from browser to browser etc.

TJPP_Add-On1

  • 2.Step: Create 8 new containers, you can name and colour them like you want, mine look like this (dont ask me why it's so yellow :'])

TJPP_Add-On_2

  • 3.Step: Just click on a container and it should open a new tab with a coloured bar at the bottom. It didn't work for me at first, it wouldn't open up a new tab when clicking on a container, what made it work for me after reading it on Reddit was allowing Firefox to create a browser history. I had it set to no history at all. Make sure to check this if you have problems. Your browser should look like this (depending on how many accounts you need right now), notice that the first tab is just a normal one. (click to enlarge)

Gameplay

While going for the achievements always remember you can PAUSE the game at ANY time, this will give you the time you need to organise all the accounts. It is also absolutely needed in Bomb Corp. to make it an enjoyable time. Another important tip is that you can enter your answers while the game is paused, and i mean not just write, but actually submit them. When you unpause now, the game will instantly take your answers, its a small thing but in my opinion definitely useful.

Also, it doesn't matter what account does what is needed for the achievement, so you have multiple tries for some off them. Comes in useful if you had a typo, misclick etc.

Other than that there's not much to add, so let's get started on those precious achievements.

(If you have not yet installed the Firefox Multi-Account Containers Add-On go to the General hints and tips part!)

Fibbage 2

Fibbage 2 is the first game we will tackle. Like the other 4 games it has 4 achievements.

To give a brief explanation of what the game is about. You'll be given a weird fact, headline or else with a blank spot. What goes in this blank spot? Make up a lie with which you then have to fool your friends, avoid theirs, and find the (usually outrageous) truth.

First off lets do some work by opening up 9 tabs with the site https://jackbox.tv/ on them. Now start up Fibbage 2, it should give you a room code at the bottom left, 8 free spots on the right side and a join the audience counter above the room code. Enter the room code in all the tabs (do yourself a favour and use some copy paste). For the names, i use ME for the first tab and just go on with 1,2,3, ... until 8 after that. Just make sure you can easily make out what tab has to do an action if needed, this is useful throughout the pack.

If you have filled all 8 spots on the right and there's one person in the audience you will get (no need to start the game!):

Fibbage 2: Eight Isn't Enough

Play a game with 8 players plus an Audience

Fibbage 2: Eight Isn't Enough

Now you'll have to back out and start a new room, it will make the last three achievements easier because you wont have to deal with 9 tabs. Instead only join the room with 4 accounts. Press "Everybody's in" on the ME tab assuming this was the first account that joined.

Round 1:

The question comes up, but wait until the timer starts, then pause the game. Now, first we are going to enter the "Truth" as a lie, use Google to search for the right answer for the question; you might have some bad luck and wont find anything, but so far I've always managed to find an answer. Remember you can use all 4 accounts to get achievements, so you have 4 tries entering the truth. When you get it, it will tell you that you've entered the Truth and prompt you to enter a real lie now, the achievement will unlock right after entering the Truth (if you have lies left don't just let the timer run out, keep it paused):

Fibbage 2: True Lies

Write a Lie that's actually the Truth

Next step, as one of the lies enter something you can easily recognise, like "FOR THE ACHIEVEMENT", for the other ones just enter some fillers. Now let the timer run out, the answers will be shown. Pause the game, select your special lie with the other 3 accounts (obviously cant vote for your own lie) unpause, wait a little bit and if the 3 accounts voted on the lie of the 4th account you'll unlock:

Fibbage 2: Lord of the Lies

Fool every other player with a Lie in a 3+ player game

Round 2:

Watch the point distribution until the next question. Wait until the timer and pause. This time enter only filler lies like 1, 2, 3, 4. Let the timer run out. When the answers come up there will only be one answer that makes sense all the other ones are yours, vote for the Truth with all 4 accounts, wait a little:

Fibbage 2: Fire the Writers

All players find the truth on a question

Done with Fibbage 2, onto Earwax!

(If you have not yet installed the Firefox Multi-Account Containers Add-On go to the General hints and tips part!)

Earwax

Second game, another 4 achievements.

In theory you can get all 4 in one playthrough, but the chances aren't high due to some luck involved.

I'll give you a short rundown on what the game is about, so it's easier to understand the requirements for the achievements. One player will pick a situation, which the other players then have to describe with exactly two sounds. There are a lot of different sounds, our focus will be on "bodily function" and "voice" sounds. The player that chose the category is also the judge and can vote for a winner, while the other players can vote for what they liked more.

I decided to describe every achievement on its own, remember you can do multiple at once. Just read what you have to do first and if you feel like saving time, try to get more than one.

Open up 3+ tabs, go to https://jackbox.tv/ on all of them. I used 3, with more accounts you have more chances, but a game also takes longer.

First off i'll explain "Earwax: Bodily Misfunction"; as the achievement description states, don't use any sounds that have words to do with bodily functions in them, like burping, farting, sneezing, coughing etc. Avoid picking these with just one account and at the end of the game the achievement is yours (some people say that they also had to win the game with that account, i got it without winning). If done right it, should unlock at the end of the game. If you play with 3 accounts, you'll need 3 points with one of them to end the game:

Earwax: Bodily Malfunction

Go an entire game without using any bodily function SFX

During a game focus on one account that you always vote to win it's match-ups and give likes for its answers (you could also just give him one like and none to the others, it's enough), if you play with 3 accounts you'll need 3 points to win a game. If the account wins and has the most likes (i was actually tied in likes, but still got it) you'll unlock:

Earwax: Aural Surgeon

Win the game and win the most likes

Earwax: Aural Surgeon

Now to the two that will need some luck in order to get them, you'll have to win one round using two bodily functions and another round with two voice sounds. Sadly there's no list of all the sounds that count for this. Some hints i have gathered:

  • Bodily Functions: burping, farting, sneezing, coughing etc. I got it with two farts, they are always a safe bet. Some people report that breathing, orgasm, or choking don't count, I can neither deny nor confirm this.
  • Voice: For this one look out for everything in quotations "like this", a female or male voice will read it out loud. Some report it doesn't have to be in quotations and that something like Grunt(male) also worked for them. Quotations are always a safe bet though.
  • Also choose a category that you think is more suited for either achievements.

If you dont get it in your first game no worries, took me about 5 games to get both, luckily they are pretty quick.

When you think you met the requirements with one account, make sure you vote for that account to win! After a few seconds the matching achievement should unlock:

Earwax: Yada Yada

Win a round with two voice SFX

That's it for Earwax, next up Bidiots!

(If you have not yet installed the Firefox Multi-Account Containers Add-On go to the General hints and tips part!)

Bidiots

Do I hear 4 achievements?

You can get all 4 of them in one game quite easily if you do things right.

Bidiots is an auction game, where you and the other players bid for paintings you made yourself before the auction starts. A lot of fun with friends.

First off, open up 6 tabs and join the room, use names that you can easily recognise or just use my method; The first account is called ME following up afterwards with 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 you will see why for the next achievement. Upon starting the game you'll unlock:

Bidiots: Six for Money

Play a 6-player game.

Bidiots: Six for Money

You'll be asked to draw 2 pictures for every account (don't forget about pausing the game). Do not bother about the theme you are given, just write the account name on the canvas, yes, just ME, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 this makes it super easy to recognise who painted what. Start the game; every account has 3000$ as starting money. Wait until the first painting comes up, look up who drew it, do not bid with the account who drew it, instead take 2 other accounts do also not bid with your "ME" account. So you still have 4 accounts to pick from, now go all the way up until one of the two has bid his 3000$. The artist will get 1500$ and the buyer account will now have 0$ which will get the loan company to show up before the next round. Important: take a loan with your ME account then let the game move on. Do the same thing for round 2, just take two accounts that are not artist or ME and that still have 3000$.

After bidding, you might have to call the loan company manually, there's a button right under where you bid, cant miss it. Take a loan with the ME account for the second time. Same thing for round 3, if it doesn't work out and you don't have 2 accounts that meet the requirements, don't worry too much the loan company should still show up which is the main reason we are doing this. After the round take your third loan with ME, it should now tell you that you've had enough loans. Round 4, you should have at least 2 accounts with at least 4100$+ if you've done everything right (including ME). Now bid until one off the accounts bids over 4000$, don't let the ME account pay but you can use it for bidding up. If done right you should unlock this after the auction ended:

Bidiots: Bid Business

Have an auction go above $4,000.

Round 5 and 6, just bid 400$ with the ME account and let it get the paintings.

In round 7 you'll be introduced to the screw mechanic, all you have to do is click the new screw button on one of the number accounts and click that you want to screw the ME account. Let ME buy the picture and this should follow:

Bidiots: Art of the Screw

Screw a player into buying a piece of art.

For round 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 just bet 400$ with the ME account. After the accounting is done you should have a lead of 10000$+ with your ME account, which will give you:

Bidiots: Shark Bait

Take out three loans and still win the game.

Only two more to go, Quiplash XL next!

(If you have not yet installed the Firefox Multi-Account Containers Add-On go to the General hints and tips part!)

Quiplash XL

Only 8 achievements to go so keep it up, we'll get another 4 in this game.

In Quiplash XL you have to answer questions. The answers from different players for the same question will have to "fight" vs each other, which means the other players not involved can vote which answer they like more. Pretty simple once you've played it yourself.

You can get all 4 achievements in one round if you have a little bit of luck, i'll explain why.

First off though lets start with creating 5 tabs and load up https://jackbox.tv/ on all of them (named as always ME, 1, 2, 3, 4), you'll need at least 5 accounts to get an achievement. Once you have all 5 in the room start up the game, after some talking you'll be prompted to answer 2 questions for every account, as always pause the game. First thing we'll do is to check if we have a question that allows us to get "Back Talk". What this means is that we have to answer a question in a specific way, let this answer win its duel and wait until Schmitty the game host has a special response to it. This is the only luck based one because not all questions have a special answer or at least not a known one. Luckily some community members did a great job gathering a lot of them so go here:

(Credit goes to "Kheiz" and "sethwoolf2")

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Use Ctrl+F type in your question and see if it's there, if it is, enter one of the possible answers. If there are multiple possible answers, only take one not all of them.

(Warning, if you are answering the questions as listed but the achievement is not popping then check the setting for the Family-Friendly Filter in the settings on the main menu page. If it is switched On then switch it Off.)

You now should still have 9 questions/answers open, the only answer that is not allowed for the next step is the counter part for your first question you used for "Back Talk". After you made sure you have another one type in PORK PANTS. Yes, thats it. Make sure it wins its duel.

For the remaining 8 questions/answer just fill them up with a 1 or whatever, the important thing is they all have to be the same!

After you've entered all the questions/answers, let the game move on. Now the answers will get matched up with each other. The order in which they'll come is random, so'll just do them in the order i got them.

When two of your filler answers get matched up, in my case 1 vs 1, you'll get:

Quiplash XL: Jinx Jinx

Enter the same thing as an opponent

That's it for Quiplash XL, pretty fast right? Well the next and last game wont be that quick i can assure you. Ready for the final stretch? Let's Go!

Bomb Corp.

The actual grind starts now. 4 achievements to go and they will take their time.

People that know the game "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes" will see the similarities, though it's a less complex version. Bomb Corp. is definitely the outsider of this pack especially because you can play it solo. Yes that's right, no multiple pesky tabs, just one. You are a new worker in the poorly run office of a bomb factory; your job is to disarm all of the accidentally activated bombs by referring to the instruction manual. So far so good right? Well yes, if the manuals would be actually useful and not confuse you more and more with every sentence. Always keep this knowledge in the back of your mind, that if there's one mistake...

Three of the achievements are related to your progress in the story, yes, this game has a story and if you care about it and listen to the short cutscenes you'll have a good time between the mind destroying logic puzzles.

To complete the story you'll have to play through 15 days at your new work place. Days 1-14 you have to do 4 tasks everyday, on day 15 there are 5. These tasks always have the same goal, to defuse a bomb/bombs; though there are different types: Regular Bombs, Filing/Sorting Bombs, Key Code Bombs, Coffee Bombs, Printer Bombs, Alien Tentacle Bombs and at last a Alien Baby Delivery Bomb.

Sadly there's not too much I can help you with, all of the manuals + bombs are randomised, so no day is the same as before. The most important thing is to take your time by pausing the game. You can unpause for a few seconds to check the wires, you'll have enough time left. As every person has different strengths, for you it might be the best to take notes and write everything down to make it easier, I personally started to make notes for Key Code, Coffee and Alien Tentacle Bombs during the last few days. You'll have to find out what's best for you.

I'll give an explanation for all of the bombs, so you have a rough picture off what is awaiting you, but by playing a day multiple times you'll soon enough know what you have to do.

Regular Bombs:

Pretty much what you would've expected from a bomb defusing game. A bomb has 4-6 wires, the manual will give instructions on how to cut them. There are a lot of tasks, most notable are the ones that "overwrite" other rules. It's just always a back and forth, from instruction to instruction; like I said before, notes will definitely make it an easier time for you if you're struggling. In the later days, some of them also include dates or serial numbers, by now you'll easily understand what to do here. Most of the time you have to defuse more then one bomb for a task, it ranges from 1 up to 7.

Filing/Sorting Bombs (from day 2 onwards):

As the name already suggests you'll have to sort names, either by first or last name and also either from A-Z respectively Z-A. And dont worry, they wont make it easy on you, especially during the later days the names are so similar it gets tough. Again take your time, take notes. A few examples:

First Name A-ZBen DoyleLast Name Z-ADave ZerkSpecial for day 15Raccoon
Carla Aben Matthew Kenus(you'll understand)Xyzzyzz
Carla Bewev Matt KenusFirst Name A-ZZyzz
Victoria Zeller Mat Kenus Zzzz
Victoria Zeller-Abner Justin Deese Zzzzzz

Also: Ignore Middle Names; Hyphenated names come after non hyphenated.

Key Code Bombs (from day 5 onwards):

These are just a simple number pad with numbers from 0-9 and four instructions to find the 4 digit code. For the later days make sure to understand that columns are downwards and rows are across, if two of these are in the instructions you often need to look where they cross to find the number you're looking for. I always thought about it like Sudoku not sure if this makes sense for other people.

Coffee Bombs (from day 7 onwards):

You'll get riddle like instructions, it's even tougher to give tips for this one. What I did, was to use basic maths equations; something like Z>S, R+2 etc. maybe you find something that makes it easier for you. After you think you got it, just insert the amount for each ingredient and hope for the best.

Printer Bombs (from day 10 onwards):

The printer is broken so you have to fix it, the game will give you 10-16 instructions. These correspond with buttons on your device, there can be quite a few of them so you might need to scroll down/up to get to them. With the pausing method its not to bad, the only thing you really need to worry about are the 1-2 notes that are on the top of your device. These either tell you to not click anything while a light in the game is lit, to click a button before every step while the light is lit or lastly to click a button while a light is lit to make it disappear, otherwise time goes by twice as fast. As always once you get there it will make sense.

Alien Tentacle Bomb (day 15):

Don't let the tentacles distract you from the fact that this is really similar to regular bombs. You could divide it in two parts, first find out what tentacles have to be massaged, then look in what order they have to be massaged.

Alien Baby Delivery Bomb (day 15):

Basically exactly like Printer Bombs, only difference is that alien terms are used.

After reading all of this you are ready to tackle Bomb Corp. there are just a few last tips I'll give you. These were already brought up during this walkthrough but i'll get them on your mind again, because this is the game you want to use them.

Absolutely abuse the Pause cn_start option, this is the only thing that will get you through this game in a timely manner. Adding to this is the fact that you can cut wires, sort names, brew coffee, insert key codes, fix printers, massage alien tentacles and deliver an alien baby WHILE BEING PAUSED! This means you'll only need around 10 seconds for most of the tasks speaking of ingame time.

You'll need a certain amount of time left from the different tasks of a day to unlock the next day. Using the pause method this will not even be close to being a problem just wanted to mention it.

I think this is it, you'll have to get started now. Good Luck!

Upon successfully completing your first Filing/Sorting Bomb on day 2 you'll unlock:

Bomb Corp.: Jewel of the File

Successfully file paperwork

Bomb Corp.: Jewel of the File

On day 7 its time to make your first coffee, if you are getting tired you might aswell make one for yourself too:

I hope you haven't forgotten that there are 4 achievements, don't worry. After beating the story mode, just go to the main menu and select The Grind. Your goal is to defuse 10 bombs in a row, it has to be done in one sitting. The difficulty is not to high, actually after beating the story, it should be quite easy for you. I chose to put it at the end, but you can go for it earlier. The only difference is that some bombs might not be unlocked yet. You did it? Nice:
