NHL 19

Hello Hockey Fans and welcome to the EA Sports NHL 19 written walkthrough!

My name is E 5TREET and I will be guiding you through all of the achievements as efficiently as possible. This years' edition of the game has many more quick and easy achievements than in years past, but it also has a few very time-consuming achievements. One in particular, a more skill based achievement, will be quite the grind, especially if you are not very skilled at the game or aren't willing to put a lot of money into purchasing Hockey Ultimate Team Cards.

Luckily for you guys, I barely spent any money on the game this year and was able to complete the game in due time. I will give you tips, recommendations and help you unlock the achievements in the quickest and efficient way. You might get them in a different order which is completely fine. In fact, I didn't get mine in this order, but looking back now, I have organized this walkthrough in a way that will break achievements up based on Game Mode and order them in a way that will be a suggestion for completing them in the fastest way possible. So without further ado, let's get to it, & best of luck!

I have broken up this guide into sections based on Game Modes. I do however highly suggest that you open the Hockey Ultimate Team Game Mode as much as possible because the achievement "Committed" is for opening 100 Free Packs and you only get one every 8 hours. Thus, even if you are on top of it, it can take a month to do so. So make sure you log into HUT as much as possible to get the mentioned achievement out of the way.

This game has no missable achievements and most of the achievements are easily attainable, but the hardest achievement by far is "HUT Superstar". This is for reaching Division 1 on HUT Online Seasons. It is a completely skill based achievement so if you are a perfectionist and haven't started the game yet I would be aware of this. It is obtainable and I did it, but I know several people who were not successful or skilled enough at the game to achieve this.

Now if that warning didn't scare you then it is time to jump into things. I give some tips and tricks within the walkthrough itself for specific achievements, I'll help guide you through these achievements as quickly and smoothly as possible. Have Fun & Good Luck!

Practice Mode

I recommend doing this achievement first, as it is the only achievement in this game mode and will help you learn and master the controls of the game.

From the Main Menu: Go to Practice Mode, then select Training Camp.

Just complete all Shooting, Passing, Defense, Face-Offs, Basic and Advanced Deking drills.

If you struggle with any of the controls, watch the videos provided within the game mode, it shouldn't cause much trouble as it shows you the controls to use while in the drills themselves. Once you have green check marks on all drills you will unlock:

Practice Makes Perfect in NHL 19
Complete all training camp drills.
  • Unlocked by 3,784 tracked gamers (22% - TA Ratio = 2.11) 16,943

Draft Champions

This is also the only achievement in this Game Mode.

From the Main Menu select Draft Champions.

Navigate your way through the tutorial screens. If this is your first time playing this mode, then you'll want to select a theme for your draft, doesn't matter which.

Simply select any cards for your team each round. Upon completing all 12 round of the Draft you will unlock:

First overall in NHL 19
Complete an NHL® Draft Champions Draft.
  • Unlocked by 3,768 tracked gamers (22% - TA Ratio = 2.12) 16,943

Be A Pro Mode

The quickest way to do this is to start a New Be a Pro Career and instead of choosing to start in the NHL or CHL, choose to start in the Memorial Cup.

You don't even need to play the games, just simply simulate up to the NHL Draft and select Auto Draft. I got drafted on my first try without even playing a game. By doing this you will unlock:

Getting Drafted in NHL 19
Get drafted to an NHL team in Be a Pro Mode.
  • Unlocked by 5,382 tracked gamers (32% - TA Ratio = 1.77) 16,943

Now you may be able to continue on in your Memorial Cup draft and unlock the following achievement, but what I did and recommend is to instead Start a New Be A Pro Career and select the NHL.

I recommend making your Be A Pro either a Center or a Winger. Another recommendation is to keep the difficulty on Pro or lower and to select a decent team that has a shot at the Cup for later on.

Simply simulate all preseason games up until the Regular Season and you should unlock the You're Not Cut achievement. If for whatever reason you don't make the team, simply quit out and try again. I made it on my first try.

You're not Cut in NHL 19
Make your NHL team out of the preseason in Be a Pro.
  • Unlocked by 4,231 tracked gamers (25% - TA Ratio = 2.00) 16,943

Now that you have simulated up until the Regular Season it is time to take your Be A Pro Skater and play a game on the regular season schedule. You shouldn't run into trouble with this one. If you do, turn down the difficulty, but all you need to do is score a goal to unlock:

Someone get that kid the puck! in NHL 19
Play and score your 1st NHL goal in a regular season game in Be a Pro.
  • Unlocked by 3,737 tracked gamers (22% - TA Ratio = 2.12) 16,943

The last achievement in this game mode is to win the Stanley Cup.

I recommend turning Auto Save "Off", and changing the difficulty to Pro or lower.

You need to be in the NHL obviously to win the cup, so it is important that you turn off autosave and save the game periodically so that you can reload the last save if you get sent down to the AHL.

The quickest way to get this achievement is to simulate the games, but if you try and simulate the entire season you will likely lose a lot of games or get sent down to the AHL, so it is important to just simulate a few games at a time and play some of them so that you get experience and stay on a top 4 line (starting line-up). I would generally simulate two games and then play one to prevent getting sent down.

It is also crucial that you keep track of how your team is performing in the standings. Your team must be a top 8 team in your Conference to make the Stanley Cup playoffs, so make sure you save after simulated wins and quit out when you simulate losses and load your Be A Pro back up to guarantee a shot at the Stanley Cup.

Once you make the playoffs keep the same strategy going. I don't believe you have to, but I recommend and did, in fact, play the Stanley Cup-clinching game to be safe. Win the Cup and after the game, the GM will congratulate you and you will unlock your last Be A Pro achievement:

Champion in NHL 19
Champion72 (15)
Win the Stanley Cup® in Be A Pro mode.
  • Unlocked by 742 tracked gamers (4% - TA Ratio = 4.77) 16,943

Franchise Mode

From the Main Menu, go to Franchise Mode and start a Franchise as any team. From there, go to the Team Management screen by pressing cn_RB.

Select Assign Scout under the Upgrade Your Team options. Choose one of your scouts that is currently scouting Amateurs. Press cn_A and change it to Scout Specific Players, Press cn_A. Next, Press cn_Aon any player on the Select Prospects menu, change the scout to a Potential and Comparison report and then Press cn_A again.

Press cn_start to confirm your assignment and unlock:

Fully Scouted! in NHL 19
Assign a scout to create a potential and comparison report on an amateur player.
  • Unlocked by 1,555 tracked gamers (9% - TA Ratio = 3.30) 16,943

Now head to the Team Management screen again by pressing cn_RB. Select Assign Scout under the Upgrade Your Team options. Select one of your scouts, press cn_Y to change their region and change it to North America - CHL, then choose either the WHL, OHL or QMJHL and you will unlock:

CHL Scout in NHL 19
CHL Scout52 (15)
Assign a scout to one of the WHL, OHL or QMJHL regions in Franchise Mode.
  • Unlocked by 1,424 tracked gamers (8% - TA Ratio = 3.45) 16,943

Head back to the Team Management screen by pressing cn_RB. Select Assign Scout under the Upgrade Your Team options. Select one of your scouts that is currently scouting NHL. Press cn_A and change to Scout Specific Players, Press cn_A again. Press cn_A on any 5 players on the Select Prospects menu, change the scout to a complete report and Press cn_A.

Press cn_start to confirm assignment and unlock:

Pro Scout Master in NHL 19
Assign a scout to create 5 Complete Reports on 5 NHL Players.
  • Unlocked by 1,086 tracked gamers (6% - TA Ratio = 3.94) 16,943

Last but not least you must win the Stanley Cup as the 32nd team in an Expansion Draft within Franchise Mode. You then have to choose to do a 32 team expansion draft.

I recommend turning Auto Save "Off", and changing the difficulty to Pro or lower.

You Must select the option to be the Expansion team! If you choose to be a current NHL Franchise, you will not unlock the achievement. So choose the new team.

You may simulate games just like in Be A Pro Mode. I recommend simulating the first two periods of games and then hoping in to finish them, or simply Turn off autosave and save your Franchise Mode after wins and quit out after losses to guarantee your spot in the playoffs. Once you're in the playoffs simulate or play until you have 3 wins in the Finals, play and win your final game to clinch your expansion team's Stanley Cup and unlock:

Cup Champs in NHL 19
Cup Champs69 (15)
Win the Stanley Cup as the 32nd NHL team in Franchise Mode
  • Unlocked by 800 tracked gamers (5% - TA Ratio = 4.60) 16,943

NHL Threes

From the Main Menu, go to NHL Threes and Select the Threes Now Mode.

When selecting your team, select Either Mascots West or Mascots East.

Simply play offline on Rookie difficulty to make it easier on yourself. All you need to do now is score at least one goal and win the game to unlock both the Costume Party & Mascot Winner achievements:

Costume Party in NHL 19
Score a goal as a Mascot in an NHL® Threes game.
  • Unlocked by 3,605 tracked gamers (21% - TA Ratio = 2.16) 16,943

Mascot Winner in NHL 19
Win a game as either Mascots West or Mascots East in a Threes Now game in NHL® Threes Mode.
  • Unlocked by 1,907 tracked gamers (11% - TA Ratio = 2.98) 16,943

Now you will want to switch to the NHL Threes Circuit 2.0 Game Mode.

Before completing this game mode which is time-consuming and sometimes boring, double check to see if you have a friend or a member of TA that has unlocked the Legends Circuit already (The Circuit King Achievement). You can save a lot of time by boosting with a co-op partner and skipping ahead of a lot of the achievements this way. I will explain more below, but if you don't know anyone who has the game, or you are the first one of your friends to complete the circuit this is how you unlock the achievements legitimately:

In order to get 3 stars against your opponents it is best to try and get a shutout or win in a blow out fashion. I would recommend turning the difficulty to Rookie and changing the settings so that the score limit is 4 or 5, then turn the money puck "On" so that you can easily score a handful of times and ultimately shut out your opponent 4 or 5 to 0, which will almost always guarantee you 3 stars and this achievement:

3 Star Performance in NHL 19
Complete and win an NHL® Threes Circuit Game with 3 Stars.
  • Unlocked by 3,451 tracked gamers (20% - TA Ratio = 2.21) 16,943

Continue to use the settings from the previous achievement to dominate and earn 3 stars in all of your games.

Put games on Rookie, turn the money-puck "On" and shutout opponents with a score limit of 4 while playing offline.

To unlock the following achievement you must defeat all 15 opponents in the Western Conference Circuit. Try to get 3 stars against every opponent, because if you collect all 45 obtainable stars in the Western Conference Circuit, you will unlock both the King of the West and the Star Collector achievements. If the achievement doesn't unlock immediately, go back to the select circuit menu and Select the Western Conference Circuit even after obtaining all 45 stars to unlock these:

King of the West in NHL 19
Defeat the final boss of the Western Circuit in NHL® Threes.
  • Unlocked by 1,297 tracked gamers (8% - TA Ratio = 3.61) 16,943

Star Collector in NHL 19
Collect all the stars in an NHL® Threes Circuit.
  • Unlocked by 835 tracked gamers (5% - TA Ratio = 4.50) 16,943

The Circuit King achievement is unlocked by winning the last game in the Legends Circuit against the Montreal Canadiens Alumni.

There are a total number of 64 games in which you must not only win but also Earn 3 Stars in each game which is not difficult to do if you play on Rookie and shutout teams on 4 Goal Score Limit. You'll need to complete both the Western Conference Circuit and the Eastern Conference Circuit, earning 3 stars in each game to unlock the Legends Circuit. From there, earn 3 stars in all of the Legends Circuit games, the achievement will unlock after you defeat the Montreal Canadians Alumni.

Like in the last iteration of the game, you can actually make this go a lot faster by boosting. You will need to play against the Montreal Canadiens Alumni on Online Co-op with a friend or TA member that has already completed the Legends Circuit.

Circuit King in NHL 19
Circuit King205 (30)
Win the final circuit trophy for NHL® Threes Mode.
  • Unlocked by 363 tracked gamers (2% - TA Ratio = 6.83) 16,943

For the last achievement, you must complete and win an online co-op game against the computer. Simply grab a friend or set up a session to set this up. It is even better if you can find someone who has completed the Legends Circuit, as you can knock out The Circuit King achievement simultaneously, but it just needs to be a win in any co-op game to unlock:

Cooperative in NHL 19
Complete and win an Online Co-op NHL® Threes Circuit Game.
  • Unlocked by 739 tracked gamers (4% - TA Ratio = 4.78) 16,943

Miscellaneous In-Game Achievements

For the Miscellaneous In-Game Achievements, a lot of them can be unlocked playing on different game modes. However, I will explain to you the easiest and quickest ways I've discovered to unlock them. I have organized them by the game mode I got them in, and suggest you do them in as well.

NHL Threes:

For Tee it Up, I found it easiest to unlock in NHL Threes on Rookie Difficulty.

When choosing your team, make sure you Position Lock by clicking in the cn_LS. I chose to be a Winger, but theoretically, you can play any of the three positions.

Using your position locked player, skate without the puck to the offensive zone and stay clear of defenders.

Press and hold cn_LT and move the cn_RS down to bring your stick back and prepare for a Slap Shot. When you receive the pass from your teammate, quickly move up on the cn_RS to shoot the puck. If you score, you will unlock:

Tee it up in NHL 19
Tee it up108 (30)
Score a goal with a manual one timer in any mode.
  • Unlocked by 1,314 tracked gamers (8% - TA Ratio = 3.59) 16,943

Keep playing using the same settings as before for the Tee it Up Achievement: NHL Threes on Rookie, Position Locked as a Winger.

To complete a manual saucer pass, simply press the cn_RB. If your teammate scores off of your assisted manual saucer pass you will unlock:

Manual Sauce in NHL 19
Get an assist from a manual saucer pass in any mode.
  • Unlocked by 3,067 tracked gamers (18% - TA Ratio = 2.35) 16,943

Extend the Twig can be unlocked on any game mode, but I continued to do this on NHL Threes Mode on Rookie.

Using a skater in the Defensive Zone, you will need to use your Defensive Skill Stick. To do so, you must hold down cn_RB and simultaneously move the cn_RS back and forth (left and right) to control your stick on Defense. Simply deflect an opponents' shot while doing this to unlock:

Extend the Twig in NHL 19
Deflect a shot with the Defensive Skill Stick in any mode.
  • Unlocked by 6,771 tracked gamers (40% - TA Ratio = 1.58) 16,943

Shootout Mode:

I got this playing NHL Threes Mode as well, but it may be even easier to do this in Shootout Mode on Rookie. Either way...

To perform a one hand tuck, you must skate towards the goalie (preferably on the left side) and move the cn_RS to the left, then simultaneously press cn_LB and cn_RB.

Simply score while doing this to perform a one hand tuck and unlock:

Tuck me in in NHL 19
Tuck me in101 (30)
Score a goal with a one hand tuck in any mode.
  • Unlocked by 1,505 tracked gamers (9% - TA Ratio = 3.35) 16,943

You can get Kids A Beauty on any game mode, but I recommend doing this on Shootout Mode on Rookie against a team with a bad goalie rating.

When shooting, skate towards the goalie and simultaneously hold down cn_LB and click in the cn_RS, quickly after, flick the cn_RS up to perform a shot, simply score (shooting between your skaters' legs) and this one is yours:

Kids a Beauty in NHL 19
Score a goal with a between the legs shot in any mode.
  • Unlocked by 1,641 tracked gamers (10% - TA Ratio = 3.21) 16,943

Go to Shootout Mode and start up an offline shootout using a strong team and play a CPU team with a weak goalie.

To flip the puck back against the grain from the backhand toe drag:

Skate towards the goalie and get as close to one of the goal posts as possible, then quickly click in the cn_RS, move the clicked in cn_RS downward and click cn_RB to shoot (flip the biscuit).

If you don't get it on your first try, go to quit, then rematch to try again. With enough repetition and luck, you will get one to go in, unlocking:

Flip Biscuit in NHL 19
Flip Biscuit209 (50)
Score a goal by flipping the puck back against the grain from the backhand toe drag in any mode.
  • Unlocked by 968 tracked gamers (6% - TA Ratio = 4.18) 16,943

Play Now Mode:

You can do this in any mode, but I just did a Play Now against the CPU on Rookie. You don't need to be position locked, but it can help.

To do a between the legs pass:

Click cn_LB and simultaneously click in the cn_RS, then pull the cn_RT.

Simply execute this pass and pick up an assist successfully doing so and you'll get:

Apple a Day in NHL 19
Apple a Day118 (30)
Get an assist with a between the legs pass in any mode.
  • Unlocked by 1,086 tracked gamers (6% - TA Ratio = 3.94) 16,943

Next, you'll want to play a game against the computer on Rookie difficulty with the shortest period length possible.

Play the game normally and score a goal, play defensively because you can't give up a single goal.

With a few seconds left in the 3rd period, pause the game and simply turn Goalie Mode "On". You will become the goalie for the remainder of the game and as long as you keep your shutout victory you will unlock:

Own the crease in NHL 19
Have a shutout and win a game as a user-controlled goalie in any mode.
  • Unlocked by 1,101 tracked gamers (6% - TA Ratio = 3.92) 16,943

Lastly, you will have to Knock the Gatorade Bottle off of your opposing goalies net. You may unlock this playing the game naturally up to this point, but if you don't, I recommend just scoring as many one-timers as possible until you get it. You can play any game mode, but one with a lot of scoring like Threes may be your best bet. Keep scoring goals top shelf and eventually, you'll get that pesky bottle to fall, unlocking:

Not My Bottle! in NHL 19
Knock off the opposing goalie's bottle from the net by scoring a goal.
  • Unlocked by 8,813 tracked gamers (52% - TA Ratio = 1.38) 16,943

World of CHEL

When you open up the World of CHEL mode for the first time, you will be awarded a bag of goodies. If it doesn't unlock when you open up the game mode, simply play some World of CHEL games to level up and earn yourself a progression award bag unlocking:

Bag of Goodies in NHL 19
Open your first Progression Rewards bag.
  • Unlocked by 7,280 tracked gamers (43% - TA Ratio = 1.52) 16,943

Enhance requires you to complete a game with 2 active traits and a specialty ability applied to your World of CHEL player. You simply need to finish a game in the World of CHEL with these traits and specialty applied. You will unlock traits as you progress with experience for your character.

Once you've levelled up a few times: Go to Customize Player, then select Edit Loadouts. Apply your two traits and specialty. Complete your next game to unlock:

Enhance! in NHL 19
Enhance!27 (15)
Complete a game with 2 traits and a specialty applied to your player.
  • Unlocked by 5,130 tracked gamers (30% - TA Ratio = 1.81) 16,943

Pro-AM Mode:

Now begin playing Pro-AM Mode within World of CHEL. This game mode is the only World of CHEL Game Mode that is played offline against the CPU. It gets progressively harder but is very easy to complete.

Luckily unlike previous instalments of NHL, you no longer need to get an overtime goal on EASHL, thus this counts in any World of CHEL game.

Once you are in your first Pro-AM game (West Vs. East). Simply make sure the game goes to overtime. So try not to let your opponent score and if they do, tie the game to force an overtime period. Once overtime starts, try your best to score with your user controlled player (not a teammate). If you do, you will knock out all 3 of these birds with one stone:

You'll always remember your first in NHL 19
Score your first goal as a skater or complete and win your first game as a goalie in World of CHEL.
  • Unlocked by 8,088 tracked gamers (48% - TA Ratio = 1.44) 16,943

Who's the Pro Now? in NHL 19
Win a Pro-Am game.
  • Unlocked by 5,914 tracked gamers (35% - TA Ratio = 1.69) 16,943

Overtime Heroics in NHL 19
In a World of CHEL game, score the game-winning overtime goal.
  • Unlocked by 3,990 tracked gamers (24% - TA Ratio = 2.06) 16,943

EA Sports Ones:

This game mode is a 1v1v1 Online Game Mode against a CPU Goalie. You need to have the most goals by the time the clock runs out to advance to the next Tier.

Once you are in the game, you start in Tier 5 and must level up to Tier 1. Every time you win a game of ones, you go up a Tier, every two losses you get demoted a Tier.

Luckily you do not need to get 4 wins in a row, and you also don't even need to win your Tier 1 match once you get there.

Play aggressively, because big hits knock your opponent out for quite a while, also go for rebounds. Once you have a lead, play keep away.

Once you get to Tier 1 (Diamond Rink) and play a match (win or lose), the achievement is yours! You'll unlock Best of the Bunch on your way towards Diamond Rink:

Best of the Bunch in NHL 19
Win a Ones game.
  • Unlocked by 3,142 tracked gamers (19% - TA Ratio = 2.32) 16,943

Diamond Rink! in NHL 19
Play in a final rink game in Ones.
  • Unlocked by 1,158 tracked gamers (7% - TA Ratio = 3.82) 16,943

Within the World of CHEL select the Game Mode Drop-In Threes. Simply complete an online game in this mode to unlock:

Dropping In in NHL 19
Play a game of Drop-in Threes.
  • Unlocked by 3,739 tracked gamers (22% - TA Ratio = 2.12) 16,943

EASHL:

Find a friend or create a session to find another player to join your EASHL Club. All you need to do is advance a single division within EASHL. It can be done with as little as two players, so what I did was find a friend, and we won 4 games in a row to advance to division 9. If you are unable to find a friend for this achievement or aren't skilled at the game, I recommend trying to join a public EASHL club that is close to advancing to the next division and joining. If you click on the achievement itself and go to the solution comments you will find the names of clubs that people post that you can join to unlock:

Conference Champions in NHL 19
Be a member of an EASHL club that has recently won a Division Title and return to the Seasons HUB.
  • Unlocked by 2,462 tracked gamers (15% - TA Ratio = 2.62) 16,943

World of CHEL:

Lastly, you must level up your World of CHEL player past level 50. You can level up your character by playing any of the 4 modes within the World of CHEL Game Mode.

I recommend completing all of the Pro-Am games against the CPU to quickly gain nearly 12,000 XP towards level 50. EASHL or Drop In Threes is my favourite way to level up, because even though the games are longer, you get solid XP by completing objectives such as winning face-offs, scoring goals etc. If you really don't enjoy the game, you can simply play Ones and go idle with your controller for a few games, you will get about 50xp per game, but sometimes it will kick you out and it's a bit slower because you can't receive the same bonuses that Drop In Threes can provide.

The total amount of XP that you will need to reach Prestige 1 Level 1 (Level up past 50) is 44,750 XP. It is quite the grind, but it is fairly simple and enjoyable. Doing this will unlock your last World of CHEL achievement:

How Prestigious in NHL 19
Level up your World of CHEL pro past Player Level 50.
  • Unlocked by 1,353 tracked gamers (8% - TA Ratio = 3.53) 16,943

Hockey Ultimate Team

Hockey Ultimate Team is my personal favourite Game Mode, but it is also the most challenging as you will be competing with some of the best NHL players out there and some people spend money on HUT Cards. If you aren't able to or don't want to purchase HUT Cards, there are monthly collectables that you can receive by completing daily objectives and opening your Free Packs. I highly recommend spending your coins on the Auction House to buy cheap high overall players and complete the monthly objectives and milestones to get Free Legend Cards. The better your team is, the easier this completion is going to be, so keep that in mind.

Even though the Committed Achievement will not be one of your first achievements in this mode, I believe that it is important to list it first because it is crucial that you stay on top of logging into HUT as often as possible to unlock it. I will explain further below.

Within HUT you will receive a Free Pack every 8 hours. These do not stack over time, so if you don't log in for 3 days, you still only get the one free pack. A timer is located on the top right of your HUT screen to countdown the time until your next Free Pack. You must open 100 of these packs in order to get the achievement.

If you want to track your progress towards the 100 Free Packs you must go to Hockey Ultimate Team and press cn_RT to bring up your Objectives and Milestones screen. From there press cn_RB to go over to your Milestones Tab. You will then scroll down and see a milestone called Open 100 Daily Reward Packs. Your progress towards that 100 will be there. Once you complete said Milestone and open 100 packs you will unlock:

Committed in NHL 19
Committed137 (30)
Collect 100 Free Packs in Hockey Ultimate Team.
  • Unlocked by 807 tracked gamers (5% - TA Ratio = 4.58) 16,943

When you open up HUT for the first time and start your HUT Tutorial you will be forced to win your first offline game to advance further. The difficulty is low, so simply win the game to unlock:

Winner, Winner in NHL 19
Win a game (online or offline) in Hockey Ultimate Team.
  • Unlocked by 6,764 tracked gamers (40% - TA Ratio = 1.58) 16,943

Upon completing the tutorial you will also get these two unmissable achievements after opening your first rewards pack! Gotta love freebies:

Specialized in NHL 19
Collect a special item in Hockey Ultimate Team.
  • Unlocked by 7,523 tracked gamers (44% - TA Ratio = 1.50) 16,943

Legendary! in NHL 19
Legendary!45 (30)
Collect a legend item in Hockey Ultimate Team.
  • Unlocked by 7,523 tracked gamers (44% - TA Ratio = 1.50) 16,943

Now you'll want to obtain a Gold Player card and some contracts. You may already have these cards, but if not, purchase them from the auction house or from a pack.

To apply your contract to a Gold Player, go to the My Team tab within HUT. From there, select Edit Lineup and press cn_A on any Gold Player and select Apply Consumable and add a contract. Doing so gets you:

Contract Extension in NHL 19
Use a contract item on any Gold grade player in Hockey Ultimate Team.
  • Unlocked by 2,345 tracked gamers (14% - TA Ratio = 2.68) 16,943

If you didn't purchase a Gold Player in the Auction House for the previous achievement then you'll want to purchase something from the Auction House anyway. Go over to the Auction House and press cn_Y. Here you can filter things to purchase from the auction house. If you just need the achievement, set your search filter to the lowest priced Buy Now option possible and purchase any item that you can afford with your coins. This will unlock:

Auctioneer in NHL 19
Auctioneer32 (15)
Buy or Sell an item in the auction house in Hockey Ultimate Team.
  • Unlocked by 3,680 tracked gamers (22% - TA Ratio = 2.14) 16,943

Go to the My HUT tab and select My Sets. You will likely complete many sets along the way, but to complete your first set, I recommend either completing the Tips Set or the Bronze Player Upgrade Set. Within the sets themselves, you will see faded cards that are empty. You must fill these slots with cards to complete the set. Simply press cn_A on an empty card slot and either search your collection for the already obtained card or press search auction house to purchase the card needed for the slot. The Bronze player upgrade set is very cheap. It just requires you to have 5 bronze player cards, and once you put all 5 bronze players into the set press cn_Y to complete your set unlocking:

You're all set in NHL 19
Complete a set in Hockey Ultimate Team.
  • Unlocked by 3,086 tracked gamers (18% - TA Ratio = 2.34) 16,943

For Super Synergized, you will need to have every player in your Line Up have an active synergy. You'll know a synergy is active if it turns green. Every player card has at least one synergy. To find out what the different synergies are from the Edit Lineup Menu, move the cn_RS up to show the synergies. You will likely need to purchase several players to activate a synergy. Certain synergies have different requirements to activate them, for example, the It's a Trap (T) Synergy requires that you have 10 players with said synergy in your line up at once, whereas Call Your Shot (CS) requires just 4 players to have it for it to be active (green).

Once every player (offensive, defensive, goalies, and coach) from every line in your lineup has at least one active (green) synergy, you will unlock:

This next achievement is much easier than in prior years because there is a potential to earn 360 stars, and you only need 50 for the achievement. Go to HUT Challenges and look for challenges you can earn stars on that are Rookie or Semi-Pro difficulty to make things easier. You do not need to get all 50 stars under one set of challenges. For example, I earned 37 stars under Progression Challenges and 13 stars under Road Trippin' and still got the achievement.

I highly recommend doing these before going online, because you will earn coins to purchase better cards for your line-up and get better at the game. Once you get 50 Stars you will unlock:

Seeing Stars118 (30)
Earn a total 50 Stars in HUT Challenges.

Now that you have a bunch of cards and coins, it is time for you to build the best team possible and start playing Online in HUT.

It is now time to play Online HUT Seasons. You will be playing Online against some fierce competition, so patience, skill, and commitment are required.

You begin Online Seasons in Division 10. Every Division has Seasons. You will play about 10 games per season trying to earn enough points to advance to the next division. There are 3 different results when it comes to your season (Relegation, Advance, and Title). Just like in real Hockey, a Win will give you 2 points, an OT loss will get you 1 point, and a regulation loss will get you 0 points. If your season ends and you fall under the Relegation, you will be demoted a division unless you're in Division 10, because that is the lowest. The difference between Advance and Title are just some rewards, your ultimate goal is to advance divisions because there is an achievement for advancing to Division 9 and one for advancing to Division 1.

I'm not going to lie, advancing to Division 1 can be extremely difficult, meaning it is a skill based achievement and will take a very long time unless you have all legend cards or are somehow a master at the game. I recommend checking out YouTube videos or reading articles online to find out which cards are good in HUT, and try to get tips and tricks to become better at the game. Updates happen periodically, so sometimes it is better to have a big and strong team, and other times its better to have a fast team. Speed kills on NHL 19 so it is crucial to build a team that has the Burner (BU) synergy activated. Learn from your mistakes to get better. If somebody beats you badly, after the game look at their lineup to see which cards they used and keep grinding to build up coins to purchase these better cards, the better your cards, the easier it is to win, but trust me I had some mediocre cards and sometimes still beat players with all Legend Cards, so it is possible to succeed. I did it and so can you!

You will unlock Take It Online after playing your first match, and you will get So HUT Right Now once you get your first Promotion within Online Seasons by reaching Division 9. HUT Superstar is for reaching Division 1 and will likely be your last and most difficult achievement, and if you are able to unlock it then congratulations because it is difficult, but I promise you'll enjoy the journey.
