Rise of the Tomb Raider (Xbox 360)

Hello, and welcome to the walkthrough for the Xbox 360 version of Rise of The Tomb Raider. This walkthrough has been adapted from the excellent Xbox One walkthrough which was authored by Tranierx. The achievement list on Xbox 360 has had multiple achievements removed which makes the completion significantly easier than on the Xbox One. However this walkthrough will be comprehensive for both those playing the game for the first time and those returning to 'stack' the completion.

First, we'll be going through the story. There are no difficulty related achievements in the 360 version so it is recommended to blast through it on Adventurer (Easy) difficulty. There also isn't an achievement for 100% completion, but it is recommended to follow the walkthrough and still do this in order to gain additional credits for use in Expeditions. After all, you still need to do every mission and challenge so it isn't much extra work.

After the story, we'll jump into Score Attack. This isn't difficult as you're basically re-doing segments of the story you just played with an emphasis on keeping your combo alive through wisps, collectibles, and kills.

Then we get to the DLC. Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch is a small story that takes place in the campaign. It also adds a few Score Attacks and isn't difficult.

Endurance Mode is the Tomb Raider take on survival, with Lara having to survive in the Siberian Wilderness whilst collecting artifacts and maintaining her hunger and warmth. On the 360, this DLC is single player only (for those who did it on the Xbox One in co-op, rejoice) and comes with a much smaller achievement list which can be knocked out relatively quickly.

Cold Darkness Awakened adds... zombies? This mode is simple as it only asks you to deactivate four towers and you're done. The zombies aren't overpowered and they're even weaker when you equip some cards to buff yourself.

To complete the game, you're looking at about 25-30 hours of play time if you are returning to 'stack' the completion, while it'll likely take up to 35 hours for a first time player.

Enough of the introduction. Let's start unlocking some achievements!

Skill Tree

I'm not going to list all of the skills, as there is a lot more than the last game, but I will list the skills that you should consider grabbing.

Brawler

  • Thick-Skinned / Iron Hide / Heart of Stone
    • These skills will reduce incoming damage from different sources (i.e. melee, fire, explosives)
  • Deadly Force
    • This one is required for an achievement
  • Adrenaline / Strong Medicine
    • Give you invincibility for a short time after a stealth kill and applying bandages, respectfully
    • Fast Healer and Field Medic allow you to bandage quicker which work well with Strong Medicine

Hunter

  • Double Shot / Triple Shot / True Shot
    • These will allow you to one shot most enemies with a bow headshot as long as you zoom in on an enemy. Headshots give you additional XP. This also allows you to take down multiple enemies with one shot. Along with these benefits, the bow makes no noise, so guards won't be alerted to deaths far from them.
    • Finesse allows you to earn more XP from chaining headshot kills which works wonderfully with these skills.
  • Bow Expert / Pistol Expert / Rifle Expert / Shotgun Expert
    • These give additional XP when you finish an incapacitated enemy. I wouldn't suggest getting all 4 unless you constantly use all 4 weapons.

Survivor

  • Avid Learner
    • This allows increases the XP earned from various collectibles, and since we're going for all of them, is a very useful skill to have early on.
  • Eye for Detail
    • Highlights challenge objectives when using Survival Instincts
  • Intuitive
    • Allows you to see certain collectibles though walls and reveals crypt entrances on the map.

Supply Shack (Shop) and Coins

Coins are scattered around the world and in certain containers that are highlighted when using Survival Instinct. You will need to buy everything in the shop for an achievement, but there aren't many useful thing to buy in the shop. There are some weapons, outfit, and small weapon upgrades. The Crafting / Enchantment / Refinement Tool (the name changes when you find the lower tier tool in a strongbox, although you can only find 2 tiers) allows you to upgrade your weapons and can help you earn an achievement early. The best item is the Rope Ascender which allows you to ascend zip line fast. Again, you have to buy all of them, but it's not too beneficial in the end.

Start a new game on Adventurer (Easy) difficulty, as there aren't any difficulty achievements.

This part contains nothing more then a tutorial mission and it would really be a waste of time to describe (or read) what there is to do. The path is straight forward, there are no collectibles or challenges and it is fairly hard to fail. There are also no achievements to gain.

The Lost Tomb - Search for ruins in the cliffs

*Underlined and bolded text will reflect the text that will show up at the top of your screen. This is your current objective.

Starting off dazed and confused, move forward and climb the cliff. Once you make it to the top, before entering the cave, take the path to the right and find the GILDED CROSS (RELIC 1/2) near the edge of the cliff. Enter the cave and progress to get a small cutscene.

The Lost Tomb - Explore the chamber of murals

Read MURALS 1-3/5 to the left of, right of, and behind the monolith.

This will raise our Greek to level 1, we can now read the MONOLITH in the center of the room.

Translating the monolith reveals COIN CACHE 1/3 near the monolith (coin caches can NOT be dug up until they are revealed). As you head towards the exit, read MURAL 4/5 to the left of the exit and head out of the chamber by breaking the wall.

The Hidden Oasis - Find a way into the Prophet's Tomb

Make your way across the bridge, the side of the cliff, and through a narrow cave full of scorpions. Once you get out of the narrow cave, you will unlock:

The Prophet's Tomb - Explore the tomb's passages

Move forward until the room opens up a little and look to the left to see MURAL 5/5. Facing the mural, look to your left and you will discover THE BISHOP: WORD FROM ROME (DOCUMENT 1/4).

Head to the corridor to the right of the mural.

Along the corridor you will trigger a ceiling spike trap. It can't kill you, but it does teach you to shoot an object's structural weak point to destroy it. Continuing down the corridor where you will eventually fall into water. Shoot the raft's structural weak point to drop it, break the wall to the left to raise the water level, and escape by climbing the raft.

However, your troubles don't end there as you'll soon get caught by an ankle trap while a ceiling spike trap comes towards you. With no wooden beam to protect Lara, you're going to have to shoot it's weak point quickly in a QTE (quick time event). The water level rises and you'll have to get out of the ankle trap by mashing cn_X and swim to safety. Move forward and discover an small area.

The Prophet's Tomb - Navigate to the top of the main tomb chamber

Jump down into the water and break a wall to your right to raise the water level. Now go across the room, climb up some shelves, and jump on the wooden weight to bring it down, opening a floodgate and raising the water level again. Swim to the land across from the floodgate to find WOODEN CROSS (RELIC 2/2) on the ground near a pillar to the your left. To the right of the relic, shoot INCENSE BURNER 1/7's weak point (challenges will be bolded and italicized). Across the room, to the right of the first incense burner, you will find INCENSE BURNER 2/7.

Go to the left of relic 2, where you will pass a small tree and climb up a fallen pillar. INCENSE BURNER 3/7 will be to your right in the middle of an arc and ARCHIVIST MAP to the right of the burner (you'll have to use the fallen pillar to get to it). Archivist maps reveal the location of all relics, documents, and murals on the map. Climb back down the pillar and face the arc where burner 3 was. Look to the left and find INCENSE BURNER 4/7 in the middle of another, higher arc. Go into the small alcove where burner 4 was and collect COIN CACHE 2/3 near the back of the alcove.

Facing away from the back of the alcove, go forwards and right of the coin cache 2 and dig up COIN CACHE 3/3 in the center of the other alcove. With your back facing away from the second alcove, THE KNIGHT: DEATH OF THE PROPHET (DOCUMENT 2/4)will be on a small ledge to the right of coin cache 3.

Go back to the fallen pillar and follow the objective. You will trigger a spike trap where you simply have to jump over it after it activates to avoid falling into it. Turn right after the trap to find THE KNIGHT: ON THE TRAIL (DOCUMENT 3/4) on the floor. Looking towards the objective beacon and shoot down INCENSE BURNER 5/7 far away in the middle of yet another arc. To your left, you will find INCENSE BURNER 6/7.

Jump to the first pillar and then look behind you and up. There you will find INCENSE BURNER 7/7 in... *drum roll* ...the middle of an arc.

Jump to the second pillar and onto more stable land. Enter the corridor and avoid a spike trap closely followed by an ankle trap and ceiling spike traps (you can jump over the ankle trap and the ceiling spike traps won't activate. You'll miss 10 XP which is not a real loss in the long run). Exit the corridor and find THE KNIGHT: AT THE GATES (DOCUMENT 4/4) on the floor to the right.

Now for a small puzzle. Start by shooting the raft's weak point on the left then quickly run across the wooden weight in the middle to the other side. Break the wall to the right and then stand on the weight, allowing yourself to get swept away by the current. Quickly climb the raft and jump towards the wall to your right. Go up to the pillar and then jump to the bar above the weight where you will then get a cutscene.

After the cutscene, shoot the two soldiers and run out of the tomb.

You'll get a few more cutscenes before reaching the next area.

If you happened to miss something, don't worry as you'll be able to revisit this area after you complete the game.

Starting where we last left Lara, we need to find supplies to build a campfire to help Lara warm up. Once you light the Wilderness Refuge Base Camp (new base camps will be underlined), a cutscene will play. After the cutscene, you will need to upgrade your bow. Upgrading cost materials that you can find in the world. Once you have upgraded a weapon fully, you will unlock:

You can change outfits here. If you have some DLC, you may already have outfits. Look through them as some have bonuses attached to them.

You can also spend skill points here. I would suggest you get Eye for Detail and Avid Learner in the Survivor category as these will make challenge objects glow and help you level up faster when looting Caches, Documents, Relics, and Challenges, respectfully. Once you have all skills in one of the three categories, you will unlock:

Echoes of the Past - Explore the forest for signs of the Lost City

Once you exit the base camp menu you will unlock:

At this point, you should start collecting any supplies you can to upgrade your equipment.

From the campfire, go forward and right to run along the wall. You will pass a roped barricade with a message saying "MISSING GEAR." Right after this, you should find a body with an EXPLORER SATCHEL. This reveals survival caches, cave entrances, and strongboxes. Facing away from the wall, you should see a small cliff nearby and a small plateau (the one with a torn down wall) father away. Go to the plateau to find THE PRIZE AWAITS (DOCUMENT 1/6).

Walk around the trees near the document and reach a deer carcass (the same one you used to build the campfire) and a log. Standing on the deer and looking at the log, go right to the sightly elevated rock with the bushes. Past the bushes you will find IN THE TOMB (DOCUMENT 2/6).

Continue going straight and you will see another raised patch of bushes. You will have to use some lower platforms to the right to climb up and dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 1/3 (it's between the bushes and the tree).

Face the wall, turn right, and hug it until you come across a wooden board with white marks (white marks will usually tell you what's climbable and where to go). Climb the board, go straight ahead to the tree, climb the tree, and jump to the cliff. On the cliff, you will find ARMY OF THE UNWILLING (DOCUMENT 3/6).

Go back to where you climbed the wooden board (at the top, not the base) and use the zip line above it to reach the platform on the tree where an ARCHIVIST MAP is located. Jump down at the corner where the bird's nest is.

Echoes of the Past - Investigate the Ruins

This will activate a bit of dialogue, turn the sky red with a flare, and give you a new objective, but we're heading to the MONOLITH to translate it. Once translated, look in the direction of the red sky and you should see a log near you on the ground along with a bush near the log. Head past the log and bush to find SURVIVAL CACHE 2/3. Across the gap, you will find COIN CACHE 1/3.

Go back to the base camp, pass some bushes, and collect COIN CACHE 2/3 at the foot of the rock wall.

Open the map with cn_back and head to the right side of the map. Near a trident with a strange object attached to it is SURVIVAL CACHE 3/3. Use your map if you have trouble finding it.

Standing on top of the second survival cache and looking at the trident, climb a small plateau to your left and find the CROWN OF A PRINCE (RELIC 1/3). Examining the broken part will net you more XP. Drop to the right to collect COIN CACHE 3/3.

Heading to the left of relic 1, you will find a cave with ON THE BORDERLANDS (DOCUMENT 4/6) inside of it.

Head to the objective to encounter the bear. You will have to do a QTE (press cn_B) to dodge the bear and run. Avoid deep snow by jumping off of objects along your path. Lara will get stuck in some roots where you'll have to melee the bear with cn_Y. Lara will then run to the edge of a cliff where you will then have to dodge and time a melee attack to hit the bear who throws you off a cliff. A few cutscenes play before you take control of Lara again.

Echoes of the Past - Gather resources and heal injuries

Once in control, gather herbs and cloth to make a healing salve to restore health. Healing yourself during combat three times will unlock:

You will discover a Trinity base, but to access it, you will have to kill the bear.

Best Laid Plans - Find a way to defeat the bear / Find Mushrooms for the Poison Arrow Upgrade / Find Cloth for the Poison Arrow Upgrade / Return to camp to upgrade arrows

You will have to backtrack to find mushrooms for the poison arrows. You should find a mushroom as you head back (Lara will say something about the deathcap mushrooms). The cave where you found document 4 has two mushrooms near the entrance.

Near the monolith you will find two more pieces of cloth.

With the supplies in hand, head back to the base camp and craft poison arrows. Some cutscenes later, you'll learn about air stuns and finishers. Make sure to LOOT CORPSE 1/3 to start the easiest challenge in the game. Now takedown the solider that gets near the bush, LOOT CORPSE 2/3, and unlock:

Best Laid Plans - Sneak or fight past the Trinity soldiers to reach the cave

Kill at least one Trinity soldier to LOOT CORPSE 3/3. GEARING UP (DOCUMENT 5/6) is now located at the table with the spotlight shining on it.

Best Laid Plans - Defeat the Bear / Explore the cave to find an exit

Head inside the bear's cave and lure it out by attacking it. When it's stunned by the poison, launch arrows at it. Repeat this until it dies and collect its hide. Head inside the bear's cave and find NORTHERN PASSAGE (DOCUMENT 6/6) and STRONGBOX 1/1.

Break the wall at the end of the cave and leave the Siberian Wilderness.

Best Laid Plans - Follow the Mongolian Path and search for signs of the Lost City

Enter the cave and try to climb the craggy ice wall. It will break and you'll go tumbling down the slope. Now turn around, climb the craggy ice wall, and pick up SHORES OF SVETLOYAR (DOCUMENT 1/4) on the floor.

Continue into the cave and, when you pass the part where Lara crouches, look to your left to find BONE ARROWHEAD (RELIC 1/3). You can examine the arrow's tip to earn more XP.

Enter the water and dive under the first arc. Before diving under the second one, turn right and you'll find some low hanging ice that you can dive under. On the other side is PAIZA (RELIC 2/3). Turn it around to the side with writing to earn more XP.

Continue forward until you're out of the water and you'll find the Mongolian Passage Base Camp. Continue and Lara will see a large ship hanging off of the ice. Believe it or not, that's the ICE SHIP TOMB, our first tomb to raid. Continue forwards until you see a craggy ice wall that you can climb on your left. Climb it, approach the ship, and, once you're on solid ground again (well, it's not that solid considering that it's a ship hanging on ice), pick up IMPOSSIBLE PURSUIT (DOCUMENT 2/4) to the right.

Let's get to raiding some tombs.

ICE SHIP TOMB START

Use the crank in the middle to lower a frozen metal object to the right. Go the right side of the crank and climb the wooden board. Follow the pole and jump off of the end to grab on the metal object to break both the ice on it and on the wall. Climb up the now-iceless wall and you'll reach another crank that you'll have to turn. This will lower the left metal object and you'll have a few seconds to reach it to break the ice on the left wall (don't worry, the time is lenient). Now you can climb all the way to the top. Once there, THE CAPTAIN'S REVENGE (DOCUMENT 3/4) and an ARCHIVIST MAP will be on your right. Open the codex and unlock ANCIENT ABILITIES which will allow you to shoot two successive arrows and unlock:

ICE SHIP TOMB END

Face away from the codex and use the zip line to the left. Once you land, look behind you to find ENAMEL BROOCH (RELIC 3/3). Look at the back to earn more XP.

Climb a craggy ice wall, do a few dangerous jumps, and, after emerging from the water, collect THE FROZEN WASTES (DOCUMENT 4/4) to the right of the fence.

With this area completed, emerge from the cave, into fresh air.

A cutscene will play where a meet the women that was running from Trinity in a prior cutscene. After a warning shot and a threat, she's gone (don't you just love people who give great first impressions.)

After using the Installation Vista Base Camp to upgrade yourself, jump down the zip line, turn around, and dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 1/21 to your right.

A little ways down the hill, start hugging the right side. There is a small gap between the rocks that you can go through near a box of resources. On the other side you will discover CAVE 1/5 which you will need to explore. After breaking through the wall inside, MURAL 1/12 will be straight ahead.

After descending into the cave, you'll hit a split path. First take 2 rights to find CRYPT TREASURE 1/2.

Taking the left after the first right only leads to a few resources.

Back at the split pathway, take a left and you will see an iced cave below, but that only leads to a few resources. Instead, jump across the broken bridge and go left to KOKKOS, THE ASTRONOMER (DOCUMENT 1/26), the last collectible in the cave. Exit the cave.

Back on the main path go to the dead man by a tree stump. On the tree stump that he's propped up against is FIRST KILL (DOCUMENT 2/26).

Take out the three guards (preferably in stealth as that nets more XP). In the area where the pair of guards were, there is a small, red star. SURVIVAL CACHE 2/21 is very close to it.

If you're having trouble finding the star, look at the story objective and approach it until you're facing a white-marked metal wall. Hug the wall and then go right. You'll pass some trees and bushes and then you'll be face to face with the star. You will probably also walk over the survival cache.

Among the Enemy - Investigate the helicopter landing area

Climb the white-marked wall and jump down to an area full of guards. Using Survival Instincts, kill any yellow outlined guard with your bow. Alternatively, you can run-and-gun your way through. After taking out some guards and climbing the set of stairs that is partially iced over, MURAL 2/12 will be immediately to your right. To your left on a crate will be MISTAKES (DOCUMENT 3/26). Move past the mural, kill the guard (if you haven't done so already), and open STRONGBOX 1/14.

Climb the tower, zip line down, pick up one of the lanterns, and throw it at the white sheets and wood to burn them. Going through the hole will reward you with a new weapon. Once you're back in control, THE IRON ROAD (DOCUMENT 4/26) is to the right.

Using the new gun, kill the two guards interrogating the man. Ignore the door to the right (we need another piece of equipment for that) and head left through a small window.

Unexpected Discovery - Find a way into the old prison

Kill the enemies and then blow up the fuel deposit (near the garage door) with a lantern. Two guards and MURAL 3/12 (on the right side) are outside.

Climb through the window and light the Train Yard Base Camp on the other side. Hug the fence to your right. At the end of the fence, there's a hole that you can enter with ROSARY (RELIC 1/18) in the train cabin.

Climb up the wooden tower and drop to the right (do NOT zipline). Go left and find ARCHIVIST MAP on some crates. Use those crates to get back to the other side of the fence.

Now use the zip line to get down, light Logging Camp Base Camp, and accept COMMUNICATIONS BREAKDOWN (MISSION 1/1) from the man who killed a Trinity soldier as you were zip lining down. Inside the logging camp, near the base camp, is A CLOSER LOOK (DOCUMENT 5/26).

Head left from the logging camp to find CAVE 2/5.

The cave is pretty linear, so no need to feel like you'll get lost. It even teases you with the crypt treasure near the beginning, but you can't jump over the rocks in your path. You can however translate MONOLITH 4/12 to the right of the rocks. Up ahead is an open cave, filled with water, with DAMIEN, THE PROPHET'S FORGE (DOCUMENT 6/26) on the right. Follow the path until the end to get CRYPT TREASURE 2/2. Now exit the cave.

Jump across the broken bridge near the cave entrance and take the stairs to your left. Enter this building and collect CAPTURED (DOCUMENT 7/26).

Jump across the broken bridge again, but instead of going to cave 2, climb the craggy rock wall to your right. From here, climb a small ledge and then a wooden wall. Ignore the craggy rock wall to your left and jump across the gap. Move forwards until you encounter wolves, or at least the remains of their dinner. CAVE 3/5 is near the remains, but before entering, turn left at the cave entrance and collect ARCHIVIST MAP on a wooden board. This cave contains nothing but wolves and resources, so it's up to you if you want to explore it all or just enough for the challenge. To the right of the cave entrance is a monolith. It requires Russian Level 3 which we don't currently have, but approach it to mark it on your map.

Cross the intact bridge near cave 3 and on the right side of the sawmill is COMMUNICATION TOWER 1/5.

Go back to the intact bridge and look at the sawmill. There will be a rock to the left of the sawmill surrounded by a few trees. Get on the rock and jump onto the second floor of the sawmill. In a cell to your left is FAMILY PHOTO (RELIC 2/18). Search the back to earn more XP. Get out of the cell and look in the direction of the rock. There is a hanging log. Shoot it's weak point and go into CAVE 4/5.

Once in the cave, drop down and head right to translate MURAL 5/12. Head straight from the entrance and pick up A COIN OF THE REALM (RELIC 3/18) before you start climbing a craggy rock wall to your right. Turn it around to earn more XP.

Climb the craggy rock walls and, after sliding down a slope, look to your left and collect GOLDEN ICON (RELIC 4/18).

Head up the stairs and pull the wooden plank down to flush the water. Drop down into the water, avoiding the spinning machines, and head right. Shoot the oil cask to the right of the door to open it. Enter it and light Cistern Cavern Base Camp. Enter the ANCIENT CISTERN TOMB.

ANCIENT CISTERN TOMB START

The crypt is close by, but it won't be that easy. After trying to climb to it, you'll fall into water. Go to the left and under the arch. You'll see another one of those circular wooden doors with a oil cask up the stairs. Just like before use the oil cask to blow the door up and head through it.

Once in the main area, go to the stairs straight ahead. Grab an oil cask from the back right and throw it onto the wooden raft floating across the room, near the stairs. Climb up the second set of stairs behind you to grab onto a wooden plank that will open the floodgates. The raft will go back and forth, crossing another circular wooden door on its way. When its in front of the door, shoot the oil cask to open the door. Enter the door.

In the new room, climb onto dry land and jump across the broken stairs. From here, climb to higher ground on your right twice and collect A WARNING (DOCUMENT 8/26).

Turn around and break the wall at the end of the hallway. Jump down, grab an oil cask from the previous puzzle, and throw it onto the raft. Open the floodgates and swim onto the raft. Grab the oil cask and throw it into the wall you just broke. Use this cask to blow up the door in that room.

Head out the door and now the water level is high enough for you to reach NATURAL INSTINCTS. Turn around to find CORRESPONDENCE (DOCUMENT 9/26) on a ledge to the left and an ARCHIVIST MAP to its right on another ledge.

ANCIENT CISTERN TOMB END

Exiting the cave, you should see COMMUNICATION TOWER 2/5 straight ahead (you'll have to cross a log to get to it). Turn around and climb the ladder to find WISH MAKER TOY (RELIC 5/18). Inside the building behind the second communication tower is STRONGBOX 2/14.

Cross the log and look in the direction of cave 4. Walk in that direction until you see CAVE 5/5 to the left. It has some deer carcasses outside, similar to cave 3. It has nothing inside, so just go deep enough to explore it and complete the challenge. From the cave's entrance you can see MURAL 6/12 straight ahead, on the second floor of the structure (use survival instincts if you can't see it straight away). Use a stack of wooden planks to the right of the mural to climb up to it. Now use the ladder to your left and cross the roof to collect STRONGBOX 3/14.

On the right of cave 5's entrance, there's a craggy rock wall you can climb. Follow its path to reach COMMUNICATION TOWER 3/5.

Jump down the zip line and break COMMUNICATION TOWER 4/5, the one nearest to you. Across from this is COMMUNICATION TOWER 5/5 and Sheltered Ridge Base Camp. Go back to the fourth commutation tower and climb the wooden wall. Jump across the gap, drop down (don't use the zip line), and you'll find an impact barrier that you'll have to shoot down with a gun. Head into the cave and on the first left, you'll find EXPLORER SATCHEL. Exit the cave.

Go back to Logging Camp Base Camp to COMPLETE COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN (MISSION 1/1) and collect the LOCK PICK. Near the base camp is STRONGBOX 4/14 which you can now open with the lock pick.

Using fast travel, travel to the Train Yard Base Camp and back track to the room where you collected the pistol. There is a door that requires a lock pick and has GULAG ID (RELIC 6/18) behind it.

Go back to the Logging Camp Base Camp, head right, and collect SURVIVAL CACHE 3/21 (looking at the map, it's the survival cache closest you). Keep heading in the same direction until you find and entrance with a lot of dead bodies. Enter the area and light Copper Mill Yard Base Camp. Translate both the MONOLITH and MURAL 7/12.

Since that's all we can collect at the moment, let's get back to the story. Fast travel to the Sheltered Ridge Base Camp and climb the side of the mountain. After climbing a craggy rock wall, you'll get a choice of a worn, wooden bridge or a craggy rock wall above. Both paths lead you to the same destination. The bridge collapses, but is still possible to go across (but if you fall, you have to climb back up). After climbing up some stairs and swinging across a tree branch, there will be a MONOLITH straight ahead that reveals some coin caches that we will back track for later.

Unexpected Discovery - Use the communication cables to zip line into the prison grounds

Climb the stairs and face off against Trinity soldiers there. After the fight, light Communications Tower Base Camp and read MURAL 8/12 on the cabin.

Now that we have a base camp up here, start by collecting COIN CACHE 1/9 near the fence behind the camp. Then go through the path in the picture below to collect COIN CACHE 2-5/9 and then fast travel back to the Communications Tower Base Camp. Get to the back of the building by going around the right of it to find SURVIVAL CACHE 4/21.

Head into the building that turns out to be the Supply Shack, the game's shop. Your currency is Byzantine Coins, the coins you've been picking up. You will eventually need to buy all of the items in here to unlock:

With the 360 version, the amount of coins around seems to be less plentiful than on the Xbox One version. This means that you'll need to dig up every coin cache and actively look for loose coins in the environment in order to gain the required amount.

Prison Break - Find a way to break out of the cell

In the back corner of your cell is a pipe you can grab. Use the pipe to break the wall to the right of the cell. Grab the RECURVE BOW and ROPE from the room on the other side of the wall.

Prison Break - Create an exit

Go back to the cell and use a rope arrow to pull the roped piece of wood out to escape through the gap it makes. A cutscene will play where you decide to take the prisoner, Jacob, with you and unlock:

Prison Break - Escape the prison with Jacob

After the cutscence, turn around and pick up RESISTANCE (DOCUMENT 11/26) on the desk. Before following Jacob and exiting the building, turn right at the hallway and collect CIGARETTE CASE (RELIC 7/18). Follow Jacob downstairs and into the room with the projector. BETRAYAL (DOCUMENT 12/26) is on the same table as the projector and STRONGBOX 5/14 is on the right of the room.

You can flip through the projector's pictures to get a bit more backstory of Jacob and his people. Once you're finished, exit through the door at the back left of the room and head outside.

The Way Out - Search the Command Center for a way to open the gate

Start by grabbing the wood and crafting some arrows. Now climb the building to your right and shoot the guard in front of you by the spotlight in the head (you're going to want to get headshots on these guys). Now, shoot the guard at the other spotlight. Next, we want to kill the guard who walking back and forth on a metal container across from us. Line up a headshot at one of the points where he stops and wait until he walks to that spot.

Next shoot the guard on the roof. Go to the spotlight where you killed the first guard. Another guard will come out of the building (the one with the objective). Use Survival Instincts, wait until he's yellow, and then shoot him. Go back to where you started and take the other stairs. There will be a bottle next to a laptop. Use this bottle to distract one the soldiers. Using Survival Instincts, shoot the guard who stays behind when he turns yellow and then quickly shoot the other one. Enter the building, avoiding the two guards near the spotlights and kill the one inside the building. Go back to where you got the bottle and grab a lantern. Toss it to one of the guards in the spotlight and kill the other.

Shoot RED LAPTOP 1/10 that was near the bottle you grabbed. RED LAPTOP 2/10 is on a crate with some machines that have a few lights on that's near the first. RED LAPTOP 3/10 is located in front of the first spotlight (where the last two guards were). Inside the building is RED LAPTOP 4-5/10 and REUNITED (DOCUMENT 13/26). Hit the button to open the gate.

The Way Out - Find Jacob

On the other side of the gate, to the right, is RED LAPTOP 6/10. Use a roped arrow and rope post to build a zip line up. Shimmy your way across the outside of the building until you reach a window you can enter.

The Way Out - Hide from Trinity Soldiers

After a cutscene, get out of the sewer to a room containing an ARCHIVIST MAP and FIELDWORK (DOCUMENT 14/26) and unlock:

Exit the room and collect PATCH (RELIC 8/18) behind the operating crank.

Tether the roped speakers to the crank and lift them out of the water. Head across the water, open the door,. This will play a small cutscene where you steal an ASSAULT RIFLE from a solider. The game will give you back control of Lara so you can gun down the three soldiers. With the assault rifle, you can now work on the following achievement for killing five enemies by shooting them in the leg:

All of the guards through this path will already be alerted, so there's no need to try and sneak. Eventually, you'll grab a can and be able to craft an explosive from it to help kill two guards. When you get to the point where a guard falls through the floor, before going down the hole, collect THE FEARFUL AND THE LOST (DOCUMENT 15/26) to the left and shoot RED LAPTOP 7/10 to the right. Jump down and turn around to find EXPLORER SATCHEL.

Up ahead is The Gulag Base Camp where you can upgrade your weapons and spend any accumulated skill points. Once you pass the gates, a few waves of guards will attack. After an initial wave, a second wave will come in out of a door with a small cutscene.

Once you've dealt with the soldiers, RED LAPTOP 8/10 is located near the beginning, to the left in the barrack. RED LAPTOP 9/10 is in a building across from the 8th. You may accidentally destroy it if you pull the roped wood near it. In a corner to the right of the door where the second wave came through is SURVIVAL CACHE 5/21. Go through the door to reach a red excavator. SURVIVAL CACHE 6/21 is located near the excavator's arm.

In the building ahead, to the left of the entrance is RED LAPTOP 10/10 and WOUNDED (DOCUMENT 16/26). At the bottom of the stairs of the same building is MEDAL (RELIC 9/18) and MURAL 9/12. Go through a train cart and head left to a dead end and collect SURVIVAL CACHE 7/21.

Fugitives - Escape the helicopter

Continue and meet up with Jacob and a helicopter, although I will warn you, the helicopter isn't as friendly as Jacob. You'll get a small cutscene and quickly be given back control to run a few steps.

Fugitive - Survive the freezing waters

Another small cutscene and this time you'll have to get Lara out of a frozen lake. You lose Jacob, but the helicopter is still with you. Run from it in a cool action sequence and then get a not-so-cool flashback. You'll wake up with Jacob and no helicopter in sight. A bit of exposition is given before you're given control back.

Alone Again - Reach the copper mill

Exit the cave and light Hidden Refuge Base Camp. Fast travel back to the Wilderness Refuge Base Camp in the Siberian Wilderness.

At this point, you can access Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch DLC if you have purchased it. I recommend that you do as some achievements in the DLC can be done as you complete the story.

However going there now means you will not be able to pick up a document and will have to return to the DLC later. If you prefer to start the DLC after you're ready and can collect everything in one go, feel free to not start right away and I'll point out when you have the necessary tools to make one go through the DLC.

Going forward to the building in front of the logging camp, is an injured man which will give you DANGEROUS TERRITORY (MISSION 3/5). Go to the cave by the monolith and kill all of the wolves inside. Return to the injured remnant and COMPLETE DANGEROUS TERRITORY (MISSION 3/5). He will give you pistol sights, a weapon attachment, upon completion.

While going to the cave near the Sheltered Ridge Base Camp on the right of the map, collect SURVIVAL CACHE 8/21 on your way. Once inside the cave, collect COIN CACHE 6/9 and then take down the barricade.

On your way to the tomb, light Frozen Gorge Base Camp. Climb your way to the next tomb entrance and, once close to the entrance of the tomb, there will be an EXPLORER SATCHEL to your left. To the right of the satchel will be SURVIVAL CACHE 9/21and down the wooden path, behind the cache, is MANIPLES (RELIC 10/18). Head into the tomb.

VOICE OF GOD TOMB START

To the left of the tomb's exit, is SURVIVAL CACHE 10/21. To the left side of the tomb is THE SCOUT (DOCUMENT 17/26) and ARCHIVIST MAP.

Start by pulling up the first counter weight by the entrance to close the door. Climb up and around the cracked wall with the door. Collect MOUNTAIN SONG (DOCUMENT 18/26) on the other side.

Break the wall and put the entrance counterweight down. Tie the counterweight to the winch using a roped arrow. On the other side of the winch is the mechanism you use to release the counterweight. As soon as you start seeing snow blow in, release the counterweight so it breaks the other one out of the ice. Now you can lower the exit counterweight and collect INNER STRENGTH.

VOICE OF GOD TOMB END

Go back to the roped post and connect it with the roped trunk with the red flag. Behind that is higher ground where SURVIVAL CACHE 11/21 will be. From here, make a zip line down to find CENSER (RELIC 11/18).

Climb the wall behind it and make another zip line down. Fast travel to the Copper Mill Yard Base Camp and use your survival instincts to follow the green markers. At the top of the mountain, after killing two guards, collect the EXPLORER SATCHEL near the vent. To the right of the vent is SURVIVAL CACHE 12/21. Enter the vent and at the bottom of the stairs will be three guards. Kill them and free the remnants.

At the top of the stairs is another door you can enter. This leads to a previous section of the game, but follow its path, past the Train Yard Base Camp, to SURVIVAL CACHE 13/21. Zip line down to COMPLETE THE UNLUCKY ONES (MISSION 2/5), collect the infiltrator, and unlock:

In the cave where mission 3 took place, start GULAG RECON (MISSION 4/5). Fast travel to The Gulag Base Camp. Pass the gate and kill all the guards in the area. In the building to the right, collect the GUARD SCHEDULE. Continue to the building with the dead bodies and reclaim the ARCHAEOLOGICAL DISCOVERY EVIDENCE. Backtrack until you find the ENEMY TROOP MOVEMENT PLANS inside a building. Fast travel back to the Hidden Refuge Base Camp, drop down into the cave, and COMPLETE GULAG RECON (MISSION 4/5) and get a rifle suppressor as a reward.

Go back to the Logging Camp Base Camp where mission 1 and 2 were given. Accept MISGUIDED INTELLIGENCE (MISSION 5/5). Using Survival Instincts, locate the green marker and kill the crow. Once you kill, you can return to the Remnant who gave you the mission and COMPLETE MISGUIDED INTELLIGENCE (MISSION 5/5). You do not have to loot the crow.

Go to the Copper Mill Yard Base Camp.

Alone Again - Climb the copper mill to reach the mine entrance

Open the gate by pulling down the roped barricade. Open the door at the top of the stairs to your left and collect THE GAME (RELIC 12/18). Examine the pieces to earn more XP. Now go to the cabin across from the gate, where the roped barricade was, to find GLORIOUS DISCOVERY (DOCUMENT 19/26). Exit through the hole in the back, by the blackboard, head left, and dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 14/21 in the snow. You may want to use your map to find this.

Go to the other side of the barbed fence, cross the train tracks (by going in between two train carts), and climb up the building to your left using the boxes on the side. Climb the ladder, pull down the roped barricade, and jump across. In the following room where Lara comments on the caged beds, SECOND KILL (DOCUMENT 20/26) is to the left. Climb the ladder and you'll learn how to make Molotov Cocktails. Craft a Molotov Cocktail to throw at the group of guards to unlock:

Take out the rest of the guards and then take a bottle back to the first ladder you climbed, on top of the building with the boxes to the side. A roped barricade will be close to the ladder and a poster will be in the room (don't do a running jump to get here or you'll drop the bottle). Use the Molotov to burn POSTER 1/7.

Climb back and climb up the red-marked wooden wall near the group of 3 soldiers. Jump right to a ladder where you'll find the ARCHIVIST MAP at the top. Go back down and burn the flammable barrier near the red-marked wall. Inside that room, burn POSTER 2/7 and collect DOG TAGS (RELIC 13/18). Examine the back to earn more XP.

Climb the red-marked wall again, but this time drop down to the left. Facing the white-marked metal wall, go left and collect STRONGBOX 7/14. Turn around and press the button by the gate to open it. Down the path when "Unknown Area/Optional Challenge Tomb" is on your screen, an ARCHIVIST MAP will be lying on a table to the left.

Continue down the totally-safe-not-dangerous-at-all path. When you reach a fork in the road while you're swimming, take the path to your left and dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 15/21 at the end of the railroad tracks. Down the right path and back on land, burn down the flammable barrier and follow the path. You'll fall down due to a minecart and there will be a fork in the road. The left path leads back up and the right leads deeper into the cave. Head deeper and you'll reach yet another fork in the road. Take the right path to SURVIVAL CACHE 16/21 and then continue down the left path. After almost falling to your death, in the room with the broken water pipes, HIP FLASK (RELIC 14/18) is on the table in the middle of the room. Examine the top to earn more XP.

Burn the flammable barrier across the falling water by throwing a Molotov Cocktail above the pipes. You may have to step back to hit the barrier. Cross the waterfall.

THE RED MINE TOMB START

Jump left and head into the cave. Turn left and RESISTANCE (DOCUMENT 21/26) will be on the table. An EXPLORER SATCHEL is located to the right of a minecart near document 21. Head down the cave and light the Excavation Shaft Base Camp.

Jump to the platform across from the base camp, again to the next one, and head up the stairs. To the right of the top of the stairs is BOMB FUSE (RELIC 15/18). Pull down the container with gold inside it, the one suspended by a wire, to let a minecart loose and start the puzzle. Climb back up the stairs and go straight. DISCOVERY (DOCUMENT 22/26) is on the table inside the small room. Turn around and use the ramp to climb higher. Turn around again and use the horizontal pole to swing across to the top of the small room and read MURAL 10/12. Climb the building across of the mural. Look at the railroad tracks and pull a minecart down with a roped arrow. It will be stopped by a container. Connect the rope post at the top of the building to the roped minecart together. Climb down the and pull down the container full of gold. This will stop the water and you'll be able to make a Molotov Cocktail to burn through the flammable barrier. Now collect BRIGHT EYES. Exit the tomb through the hole in the back. SURVIVAL CACHE 17/21 is behind the first floodlight, near the left-side wall. Continue down the path until you exit the cave.

THE RED MINE TOMB END

Back in the Soviet Installation, climb the white-marked metal wall. Drop down and burn the flammable barrier at the top of the stairs. Enter the newly-open building, go to the right, and read MURAL 11/12. Looking at the mural, go left and collect HERO OF THE SOVIET UNION MEDAL (RELIC 16/18) on a table. Turn around and look up to see POSTER 3/7.

Pull down the roped barricade across the mural and slide down the path. Make sure to jump near the end. To the left, collect STRONGBOX 8/14 and burn POSTER 4/7. Climb up the ledge and make a zip line to ORDER OF THE RED BANNER MEDAL (RELIC 17/18).

Climb the white-marked walls and pull down the roped barricade to climb back up. Head to the objective beacon and rope swing across using the hanging rope coil. Pull down the garbage blocking your way, cross the track, and climb the craggy rock wall. Continue up the ladder and kill the guard. Climb up another ladder nearby and shimmy your way across the outside of the building. Head down a zip line and and grab STRONGBOX 9/14 to the left. Create a zip line to the building across from you. Once you land, you'll alert the guards there. Kill them, jump over a small gap, climb a white-marked wooden wall, and collect AN ALLY IN THE DARKNESS (DOCUMENT 23/26) to the right on a table. Grab a bottle from the location where you fought the guards and head back up. Climb up the stairs, wall, and ladder at which point you'll see INTERCEPTED (DOCUMENT 24/26) on some chests in front of you. To the right is a flammable barrier with PILLBOX (RELIC 18/18) and POSTER 5/7 along with 2 bottles. Examine the opening on the top of the relic to earn more XP. POSTER 6/7 is located above of the flammable barrier.

At the objective beacon is a flammable barrier that will cause a huge fire once you burn it down. Climb a few set of stairs and kill a few guards until you get a small cutscene where you'll be stuck in a room with two soldiers. After killing them, three soldiers with riot shields will spawn. You can easily kill them by throwing Molotov Cocktails at them. Once they're dead, a new path will open up. Take it, climb up a ladder, make a zip line, and zip line down.

There are two zip lines here. If you press cn_B as you're about to get to the end of the first one, you can unlock Zipper (perform a manual zip line transfer). There is also another place to earn this achievement that's near a base camp. I'll point it out when we get there.

A small cutscene plays and you'll enter the abandoned mines.

Shortcut - Find a way through the mountain

Follow Jacob through the path. You'll eventually be split from Jacob and have a short action sequence. After the action, head to an open cave where you'll have to kill three guards. Push the elevator button across from where you entered to bring the elevator down. Next, push the minecart across the tracks and collect SURVIVAL CACHE 1/3 to the right of the end of the tracks. Jump on the minecart and climb up where you'll receive the COMBAT KNIFE. As long as you have the Brawler skill Deadly Force, you can use the knife to perform 25 stealth kills to unlock:

Use it to cut the rope of the suspended crate and the elevator. Climb the elevator and the craggy ice wall to reach the top where NOBLE EFFORTS (DOCUMENT 1/5) is on a crate. This will raise your Russian level to level 3.

Continue forward until Lara mentions the Lost City. MISSING MEN (DOCUMENT 2/5) is on the floor to the left, before the spike trap. MURAL 1/1 is up ahead with the Pantheon Corridor Base Camp after the trap.

Shortcut - Break through the door

Continue up the stairs to the open area and kill all the soldiers. Under the 5 murals of people in a semicircle that are not collectible is RESISTANCE (DOCUMENT 3/5). Turn around and go to the second depression in the floor (both depressions have some water). Turn left and grab the CRAFTING TOOL (STRONGBOX 1/2). This will help you towards the Weaponsmith (Fully upgrade one weapon) achievement. Go past the second depression and collect RADIO SILENCE (DOCUMENT 4/5) on some boxes to the left of the machine with the zip line.

Go up the zip line and then go down the right one. You'll latch onto a truck that's about to fall. Shimmy your way to the left to pull yourself up. Push the cart perpendicular to the truck off the edge and then connect the cart near the truck to the crank at the top. Pull the cart up and then cut the rope. The truck in front of you will fall as well as a truck behind you, making a new path out when it falls. Follow the new path and you'll eventually drop down and have to deal with some soldiers. After the initial wave, another one, covered by a smoke bomb, will come down. In the back left corner, before reaching the craggy ice wall, is SURVIVAL CACHE 2/3. At the very back, on the edge of stone floor, is a MONOLITH. Head back to where you dropped in and collect COIN CACHE 1/3. Continue to the objective beacon and climb the craggy ice wall (careful, as the stairs before the ice wall will crumble beneath you and you will slide down). Head down some stairs and to the left is A FATHER'S SWORD (RELIC 1/1). Examine the broken piece to earn more XP.

Jump across the stone pillars behind you and collect COIN CACHE 2/3 near the flood light in the corner. Near the cache is an EXPLORER SATCHEL, but be careful for the spike trap between it and the cache. Get back and path and tear down the roped barricade. On the left, right after the barricade, is a raised platform where BROKEN TRACKS (DOCUMENT 5/5) lies on a crate. Jump back down. You'll have to climb another craggy ice wall, but there's a trap at the base, so be careful. In the next open area (which is the same one as before) there will be more soldiers, including one with a riot shield. Once they're killed, back track a little to collect COIN CACHE 3/3 (use your map to find it). Follow the objective beacon and climb the ladder. At the top is STRONGBOX 2/2 and SURVIVAL CACHE 3/3. Climb the white-marked wooden wall and an ARCHIVIST MAP will be on the left.

Zip line down and shimmy right. Once on land, push the cart with the crank to a position where you can connect it to the giant bucket with a roped arrow. Use the crank to pull the bucket under the falling water to fill up the bucket. You'll then have to run for the door in an action sequence and a cutscene will start playing.

Warming Up - Enter the Valley

Exit through the water (there's a spike trap right before it!), climb up some stairs, zip line down, and enter the Geothermal Valley.

Climb down the stairs and jump over the low wall. Take the path to your right and a destructible barrier will be in your way. Tear it down and BEAR CARVING (RELIC 2/13) will be on the floor to your left and ARCHIVIST MAP will be on a table to your right.

Come up from the path and head to the first house across from you, the blacksmiths. They will have WINTER (DOCUMENT 1/33) on a table to the left of the fireplace. Exit the door near the fireplace and head right to a ruined building. On the first floor, STRONGBOX 2/8 and FIRE ON THE HORIZON (DOCUMENT 2/33) will be on the floor next to each other. On the side of the ruin not facing the cliff is TARGET 1/8. You must shoot these with an arrow.

Past the ruined building, near the cliff, is THE MOURNING (DOCUMENT 3/33) in between two people. Keep hugging the cliff side and you'll reach SNARED RABBIT 1/6 which you should cut down. Now start DEFENSIVE STRATEGY (MISSION 1/4) from the Remnant near the wooden tower near the cliff. For this mission, you will have to find the stacks of branches and kill deer for their hides. You may already have some supplies. Once you get the supplies, you will need to deliver the resources to various baskets. BASKET 1/2 will be next to the man who gave you the mission.

Next, head to the house nearest of the ruined building, but not near the edge. This is the kitchen and it has SPRING (DOCUMENT 4/33). Turn to the left of the document and you'll see a shack with a CHICKEN PEN connected to it. You will need to catch 6 CHICKENS and throw them into the pen for a challenge. Past the shack, in the pumpkin patch, is a MONOLITH. Turn around and collect the newly revealed COIN CACHE 1/9.

Head back to the kitchen and look at the shack with the chicken pen, head along the stone path (the one that doesn't lead to a wooden one), collect ON THE SMALLEST PREY (DOCUMENT 5/33), and cut down the SNARED RABBIT 2/6. Both of these will be near a tarp to your left. Continue to the path that heads upwards. Once you pass the bridge, there will be a small are to your right. SURVIVAL CACHE 2/20 is near the tree with the visible trunk, that is not by the edge, and by the rocks with moss.

Looking down from the cliff, there will be rocks that bulge from the side of the cliff (they glow yellow when you activate Survival Instincts). Jump down twice and then once across to collect EXPLORER SATCHEL. Now jump towards the waterfall, where a faint edge can be seen. Get into the cave and break down a wall. Jump into the water and then get out. RIVKAH, THE ARCHITECT (DOCUMENT 6/33) can be found on the floor near a cliff right after getting out of the water. Jump down the cliff and follow its path. MURAL 1/4 can be found on this path. Continue down the path, go down a zip line, and CRYPT TREASURE 1/2 will be in a small room. Exit the cave.

Back at the entrance, jump down into the water and get back on dry land to your right. MURAL 2/4 will be on stone pillar covered with vines and moss. Using the tree behind the pillar, jump on top of the pillar and collect ON LOCAL BIRDS (DOCUMENT 7/33).

Now go to the other side of the river by using the broken bridge. Shoot down TARGET 2/8 near the tree without its outer trunk.Head right, follow the rocks on the edge, and jump down to the wooden bridge nearest to you (the one not touching the rocks). Shoot TARGET 3/8 under the railing and then jump to the other wooden bridge. Use the hanging rope coil to get across and collect EXPLORER SATCHEL to the left of where you land. Instead of heading down, crawl under the hole in the rocks and defeat the wolves on the other side. Hanging from the branch over the cliff is TARGET 4/8.

Open the gate and follow its path. In the room that Lara is astonished, collect SURVIVAL CACHE 3/20 near the well-like structure. Climb the stairs and collect BELT BUCKLE (RELIC 3/13) on a table in a hallway. Right after the relic, light up the Infirmary Base Camp. Across from the base camp lies LAST PARTING (DOCUMENT 8/33).

HOUSE OF THE AFFLICTED TOMB START

When you enter the tomb, collect SURVIVAL CACHE 4/20 to the right. Straight ahead from the entrance is NECKLACE (RELIC 4/13).

To the left of the relic, connect the roped platform to the roped hook with a roped arrow. Back at the entrance, look left and pull out a cart as much as you can. Pull the roped lever above the roped bucket and then quickly tie the bucket to the cart with a roped arrow. Use the stairs to the right of the entrance to get up. After shimmying, grab HINTERLANDS (DOCUMENTS 9/33) to your left.Proceed into the room and collect the ARCHIVIST MAP and FAST HEALER.

HOUSE OF THE AFFLICTED TOMB END

Before exiting the cave, go into the pool of water on the right of the tomb's entrance and dive at the far right corner. Here you'll find an EXPLORER SATCHEL and SURVIVAL CACHE 5/20 to its left.

Once outside the cave, crawl under the hole in the rocks, make a zip line with the rightmost roped post, and head to the lower ground. There will be a rock with a pole to your right. SNARED RABBIT 3/6 will be attached to the pole. Look around for a ruined wooden structure. Collect STRONGBOX 3/8 in the structure and then, facing the strongbox, turn right and head down the stairs to cut down SNARED RABBIT 4/6. Facing the strongbox, turn around and collect SURVIVAL CACHE 6-7/20 on the ground. You will want to use your map to find these.

Make your way to the cave shown below and make sure to collect SURVIVAL CACHE 8/20 outside of the cave by climbing the craggy rock wall. ON DEER AND STAGS (DOCUMENT 10/33) is inside of the cave. COIN CACHE 2/9 is located near the cave (use your map!). Near the cache, is a tree you can climb to get up to a large, open "tree house" that has ON BOAR (DOCUMENT 11/33).

Jump to the rocks nearby and you'll see a shack in front of you. This shack has A NEW DAY (DOCUMENT 12/33). There is a house in front of the shack's entrance with a female remnant outside. She will give you SURVEILLANCE DISRUPTION (MISSION 2/4). An ARCHIVIST MAP will be located in the house. Exit the house using the door to the left of the furnace. To your left is a guard tower with BASKET 2/2 at its base.

Collect SURVIVAL CACHE 9/20 and COIN CACHE 3/9 at the bottom left of the map. Take down DRONE 1/4 while there as well. Near the location of the coin cache is another "tree house" that has SNARED RABBIT 5/6. Head back to the place that mission 1 was assigned to complete it and take out DRONES 2-4/4 on the way back (you can change which mission you're tracking by pressing cn_Y when the map is open). Once you turn in the mission 1, shoot TARGET 5/8 below the guard tower. Now go back and turn in mission 2.

Jump to the rocks to get across the river and collect SURVIVAL CACHE 10/20 near the cave, but don't kill the boars (yet). Next, looking at the worn-down house near the boars, turn right and go to the bridge where, on the end opposite of Sofia, SNARED RABBIT 6/6 will be. Across the bridge, Sofia will be giving a speech. Take a right and light the Ruins Encampment Base Camp.

Prepare for Battle - Light the Signal Fire on the Spire

If you feel like you can shoot a bottle in the air, the crate has unlimited bottles. Shooting one in the air will unlock Trick Shot (shoot a bottle out of the air), but another gun we get later in the game will make this achievement easier for those with less hand-eye coordination.

Progress the story by climbing the tower to light the alarm. Nothing of much importance happens in the tower except for obtaining the OIL FLASK which allows you to craft FIRE ARROWS. Light the signal fire to unlock:

Prepare for Battle - Rejoin Jacob at the upper village

Zip line down where STRONGBOX 4/8 will be. Travel down the path opposite of where the strongbox faces and enter the cave. Break down the wall and keep going deeper until you find MURAL 3/4 after a zip line. Hug the wall the mural is on and head down the cave. You'll reach AURORA, THE PHYSICIAN (DOCUMENT 13/33) pretty quick. Continue until you drop down. Then take the left path with water, to find CRYPT TREASURE 2/2. Exit the cave.

Back outside, go back to tower where you lit the alarm and loop around the tower once. After the craggy rock wall, you then want to jump down to DIVING BOARD 1/4 and dive off of the board, into the water. Head back to the Ruins Encampment Base Camp. Pick up a chicken and switch to your bow with cn_up. This will drop the chicken on its head and keep its head down. What's happening is that the game doesn't realize that it has hit the ground. Shoot it with a fire arrow to unlock:

Go back to the strongbox 4 and walk in the direction it's facing. MURAL 4/4 and a female remnant who will offer ANCIENT SECRETS (MISSION 3/4) will be in the ruining building in front of the strongbox. You will earn 50 coins from the remnant since you already have 5 tombs completed, but you will need 4 more to complete the mission. Use your map to collect SURVIVAL CACHE 11/20 near a half circle of stairs. Go up the semicircle of stairs and then up another set of stairs to find a monolith to your left, although you won't be able to translate it without level 7 Greek. Instead, get inside the building near the monolith and collect IRON COIN TOOL (RELIC 5/13).

Head to the objective beacon. You'll tell Jacob about the helicopters heading for them and then Trinity's attack begins. You'll slug through the water until you get a cutscene and a PUMP ACTION SHOTGUN.

Prepare for Battle - Help defend the village against attack

Shoot through a few soldiers until you meet a flamethrower-wielding soldier. Direct attacks won't work, instead attack his fuel pack. A cutscene will play and you'll be tasked with going to the tower.

To the Tower - Follow the path up to the tower

In the building where the wounded are being tended, the hospital, THE ABANDONED CITY (DOCUMENT 14/33) is on a table. In the building with the long set of stairs near the hospital is a table with an ARCHIVIST MAP. STRONGBOX 5/8 is near the objective beacon.

Jump down and light the Aqueduct Ruins Base Camp in the ruined building to your right. Near the base camp is a MONOLITH and an EXPLORER SATCHEL. Head to the cave across the from the ruined building. Follow the cave's path until you reach the burial sight after making a zip line to get across a body of water. At the burial sight, collect SILVER BASKET (RELIC 6/13) to the right, in between two pile of skulls. Climb up to the ground to your left and light the Aquifer Cavern Base Camp ahead.

CATACOMB OF SACRED WATERS TOMB START

Start by collecting THIEVES AMONG US (DOCUMENT 15/33) to the right of the stairs, under the boat. Use the rope spool to the left of the stairs to get the boat closer to you (most of the spools are spinning and will drag the boat to them and then snap after a while). Next, use the rope spool in the middle. Quickly jump to middle once the second spool snaps. RITE OF PASSAGE (DOCUMENT 16/33) will be in the middle. Now connect a new boat to the middle-right spool and jump on it. As soon as you can, connect it with the rightmost spool (this one is not spinning) and jump onto the land. You may have to pull in the boat yourself for the rightmost spool. Pick up an ARCHIVIST MAP, GOBLET (RELIC 7/13), and ANATOMIC KNOWLEDGE (SECRET 6/9).

Head up the stairs and into a door.

Into the Acropolis - Find a way to the Acropolis

You'll find that this hallway is in pretty bad shape. There's a cart on fire to your right. Drop off the bridge to the right where the cart is. In a space under the bridge, a lantern and PROPHET'S ARRIVAL (DOCUMENT 1/10) will be on the floor in a small alcove.

Climb back up and head outside. You'll climb some rocks and a craggy rock wall.

Into the Acropolis - Enter the Acropolis

Make a zip line and head forward until you see some helicopters. Go down the stone path to your right and jump off it when you get to its end. SURVIVAL CACHE 1/3 is near the tree that is by the end of the stone path. Near the tree is a green tent with STRONGBOX 1/3 by its side. In front of the big open tent near the green one is Remnant Bazaar Base Camp, so make sure to light it. Head down to another big open tent with STRONGBOX 2/3 and COMMON BLOOD (DOCUMENT 2/10) to the strongbox's right.

Exit the tent and head left. Near the burning wood is FIRST WINTER (DOCUMENT 3/10). Go right of the open tent with the strongbox. On a crate is STEWARDS (DOCUMENT 4/10) and near the document, under a makeshift roof of quilts, is a hanging WALKIE TALKIE 1/6. Shoot it down. In yet another open tent to the left on the path to the objective beacon is RELIQUARY (RELIC 1/3). Examine the inside of the case to earn more XP. Go back to the second open tent (the one with the strongbox and the document) and take the path behind it to its right (this side of the tent is on fire). Go straight and SURVIVAL CACHE 2/3 will be to the right of a the left tent (the one that's not too close to the fires).

Continue to the objective and get a short cutscene.

Reach the Tower - Infiltrate the ruins and find Sofia

Kill all the soldiers. Go back to where the cutscene placed you and take out WALKIE TALKIE 2/6 to the left center, under a makeshift roof of quilts (similar to the one before it). WALKIE TALKIE 3/6 will be to the right center, under the second makeshift quilt roof. WALKIE TALKIE 4/6 will be at the back right under a makeshift quilt roof.

Follow the objective beacon, killing soldiers along the way. Here I would suggest being as quiet as possible to earn more XP from stealth kills. After you fall near some stairs due to an explosion, there will be bottles next to you. Grab one and sneak around to one of the guards. Once you're close enough, as long as you have the Deadly Force skill mentioned before, stealth kill one of the soldiers with the bottle to unlock:

Reach the Tower - Find the ammunition cache

Break the wall at the objective beacon. Head into the wall and collect MURAL 1/1 to the left of where you drop down. Climb up where you'll see what's blocking the door.

Reach the Tower - Find a way to destroy the blockade

Head to the objective beacon and acquire GRENADE ARROWS which means that you can now unlock:

Reach the Tower - Breach the gate to the Tower Courtyard

Head up the stairs and light Riverside Landing Base Camp, collect MISSING (DOCUMENT 5/10), and translate the MONOLITH. COIN CACHE 1/3 will be in a corner near the door you blew up. Go to the left of the stairs and collect LANGUAGE OF THE LAND (DOCUMENT 6/10) on a wooden platform. Jump to the bridge and BULLAE (RELIC 3/3) will be to the left, next to the fire. Head across the bridge and blow up the metal barricade.

Reach the Tower - Attack Trinity to lure the helicopter out

Take care of the soldiers on the other side. Pick up REFINEMENT TOOL (STRONGBOX 3/3) to the left. This will let you to fully upgrade a weapon and unlock:

After another metal barricade, shoot WALKIE TALKIE 5/6 to the left under the makeshift quilt roof. Pass the bridge with explosive red barrels that you should definitely shoot and you'll reach a relatively open area. Once you kill the soldiers here, head to the objective beacon.

Rescue Mission - Defeat the Trinity forces

After a cutscene, head back to the previous area and take a right. Near a pile of ruble is SURVIVAL CACHE 3/3. Go back to where the cutscene triggered and collect DANGEROUS ERRAND (DOCUMENT 7/10) and destroy WALKIE TALKIE 6/6 under a makeshift quilt roof. Light Tower Courtyard Base Camp.

When you exit the base camp menu, head in the direction Lara is facing and collect an ARCHIVIST MAP. Go to the objective beacon and defeat some soldiers in the narrow passageway. Collect THE REVENANT (DOCUMENT 8/10) to the left of the doorway leading out of the narrow hallway. In the next room, you will have to fight a shielded guard. Head into an open room where you fight more waves of Trinity soldiers. A cutscene will play once you finish. You'll obtain the WIRE SPOOL and unlock:

Back to the Forest - Find a safe path back to the Remnant Village

Zip line across the gap. An EXPLORER SATCHEL will be on the ground to the right of the hanging beam (the object that's you'll swing from using the grapple axe). After grappling to a ledge, grab BONES OF THE EARTH (DOCUMENT 9/10) on the ground to the right. Continue forward until you're in Geothermal Valley again.

Silent Night - Sneak or fight through the occupied village

As you enter, open STRONGBOX 6/8 and sit at the Cliffside Lookout Base Camp. Continue by jumping from the hanging beam to the zip line. Turn around from where you land to pick up ON THE THREAT OF WOLVES (DOCUMENT 17/33) on a crate. Head back to where you landed, but instead of swinging across the hanging beam, drop down to a metal barrier and open STRONGBOX 7/8 behind it. Exit the shack and go to the right of the stairs. Collect SUMMER (DOCUMENT 18/33) and SURVIVAL CACHE 12/20 across from the document, near the rock wall.

Climb up the tree and jump to the "tree house" with the zip line to grab the ARCHIVIST MAP from the table. Zip line down and go through some water until you see a guard. Drown him with cn_Y and get progress on the Glub Glub Glub (drown 3 enemies using a water finisher) achievement.

Silent Night - Pass through the occupied village to reach the monastery

Kill the rest of the guards and then enter the house to collect ATTACHMENTS (DOCUMENT 19/33) on the floor to the right. Jump over to the other side of the house.

You'll get a small cutscene and a large group of guards will be in an area. Dispose of them as you see fit. After that, go back to where you entered the area and look at the campfire. Take a left until you get to a burning barrel. FORGIVENESS (DOCUMENT 20/33) and STRONGBOX 8/8 will be near the burning barrel. Using the climbable tree near the collectibles, climb on top of the roof above the burning barrel and across to the ground. Head right and pick up ON BEARS (DOCUMENT 21/33) on a table. Burn the flammable barrier (remember, you have fire arrows now) to enter the cave and collect THE SERMON (DOCUMENT 22/33) inside.

Head to the objective beacon and enter a roofless house that has the end of a zip line above it. Collect INITIATION (DOCUMENT 23/33) in the house. Continue forward and get a small cutscene. After the cutscene, kill the two soldiers and dig up COIN CACHE 4/9 to the right near the spiked wooden fence and rock wall

Take out the rest of the soldiers. Before entering the building with computers, head left from the entrance to find THE GOAL (DOCUMENT 24/33). Head upstairs to find LOST IN MEMORIES (DOCUMENT 25/33). Follow the objective to a new area.

Silent Night - Scale the Cathedral to find the entrance

Follow the stairs down, collect ARMOR OF FAITH (DOCUMENT 26/33) at the bottom of the stairs, and light Cathedral Courtyard Base Camp near it. Open your map and collect SURVIVAL CACHE 13/20 near you. As you head to the objective beacon, take the stairs near the wall. In one of the corners, ARROWHEAD (RELIC 8/13) will be on a box. Examine its base (opposite of its tip) to earn more XP. Continue and kill a guard. After that, you'll have to make a jump with your wire spool. VOW OF POVERTY (DOCUMENT 27/33) will be on the floor at the top of the stairs. The rest of this section will get you familiar with using the wire spool. It will also have two more guards in the way.

The Atlas - Survive Trinity's assault and escape with the Atlas

Trinity soldiers will attack you. Once you take them down and head into the next room where more soldiers will come down from the roof. Shoot a poison arrow at them to kill most of them. When you reach the door, even more soldiers will be breaking through the door. Keep a poison arrow notched and release it once they break through. Continue forward.

Dark Waters - Find a way out of the Archives with the Atlas

You'll reach a water section where you'll obtain a REBREATHER. This allows you to stay underwater indefinitely.

Rising Tide - Find a way to escape with the Atlas

Once you get back on land, shoot the Greek fire vessel near the statue's wooden support. We're going to have to break the other two, so start by going behind you, under the arch with the light source. You will see Dillon's shadow getting stabbed. Continue on and kill Morse and the rest of the crew. Jump down and bring down the roped barricade in the corner across from you. Climb up the craggy rock wall nearby, head right at the top of the wall, and collect PENNON FLAG (RELIC 1/2). Beware of two traps on the way to it. Jump over the two traps and take the first right you see where you will drop down to a wooden platform. Jump a gap to the right and climb up a ledge. Follow that path and grab the EXPLORER SATCHEL at the end. Drop down the gap you jumped over and collect SURVIVAL CACHE 1/3 under a chandelier with fire and unlock:

Now for the puzzle. Start by releasing two Greek fire barrels by pulling the door at the nearby objective beacon. Tie a barrel to each side of the mechanism across from the door. Push both barrels off and then pull one side. Go to the right and spool swing across to the barrel. Cut the barrel from the rope, push it into the water and blow it up near the wooden support.

Go back to the rock wall near Morris' group and the roped barricade. Climb up the rock wall, take a left, but this time go to the end of the passage. Make a jump diagonally left and collect THE GREATER GOOD (DOCUMENT 4/5) on a stone pedestal. Then go translate the MONOLITH to the left of the document. Head to the other side of the room and rest at the Greek Fire Depot Base Camp in front of the statue. From the camp, climb up the stairs and SURVIVAL CACHE 2/3 will be to the right.

Climb up the stairs with water flowing over it. There are three guards in the next area. Since you have the rebreather, stay underwater and drown them all. Even if you didn't get the other water finishers before, you should unlock:

Climb the ladder near the place where you entered and pull down the roped barricade to your right. Follow the right path and when you see a ramp, look to the left and grab the ARCHIVIST MAP on the table. Take the left ramp (you'll have to spool swing across) and disarm the ankle trap by shooting the trigger on the floor. BATTLE STANDARD (RELIC 2/2) will be on the left, between two headless statues. Head to the right (where the other ramp lead) and pull down the roped barricade. Jump across to grab EXILE (DOCUMENT 5/5) on a crate. Jump down from the gap to the right of the document, and dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 3/3 under the Greek fire barrel dispenser.

Start the next puzzle by releasing a barrel and blowing it up at the wooden barricade between the two statues. Release another one and as it passes the two statutes, tie it to the roped post to the left. Once it's in position, cut the rope and blow up the last support to get a cutscene

Escape the Archive - Run to safety

Get an action sequence.

Escape the Archive - Return to the valley

After that, you'll have to swim underwater. Once you emerge again, before going under the arch, collect COIN CACHE 1/3 to the right on land. Dive back into the water. Once you get on land again, open STRONGBOX 1/1 and translate MURAL 2/3.

Start by digging up SURVIVAL CACHE 14/20 in front of you near some rocks and then head to the objective beacon. When you get to a point where you have to spool swing using a tree branch, look right to a wooden platform in a tree. Spool climb up to the platform to get THE VISITOR (DOCUMENT 28/33).

Continue until you come to a waterfall. Go across the water fall, but stay to the left, going to the right will trigger a cutscene. Start off by lighting the Ridgeline Base Camp. Then grab the ARCHIVIST MAP on the table near the camp and dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 15/20 near the camp. Near the edge, shoot TARGET 6/8 to the right of the diving board and dive to the LEFT of DIVING BOARD 2/4 as diving off of the board itself seems to be buggy. Doing a successful swan dive will unlock:

Climb back up by going up the path to your right (there's an objective beacon here). After crossing the bridge and the waterfall, keep a look out on your right side for people near a gravestone. Start by resting at the Copper Mill Bridge Base Camp behind you. Grab SEPARATED (DOCUMENT 25/26) and BROADHEAD CLIMBING ARROW (STRONGBOX 11/14) near the base camp.

The Rescue - Infiltrate the Research Base

Dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 18/21 to the right of the strongbox near the tall wooden fence and grab the ARCHIVIST MAP hidden away to the left of the objective beacon. Climb up using the climbing arrows and read MURAL 12/12 at the top. Zip line down. Here is another chance to earn Zipper (perform a manual zip line transfer), but there is still a better point later on.

Use the climbing arrows to make your way across the broken bridge. Climb the stairs and cut down FLAG 1/7. Continue up the path and cut down FLAG 2/7 by the shop (which you should use).

Climb up the cliff side to the objective beacon with climbing arrows. Collect CONTACT (DOCUMENT 26/26) to the right on a table and open STRONGBOX 12/14 to the left. Go back to document 26 and look down the cliff. SURVIVAL CACHE 19/21 is down on the rock that juts out of the cliff. A little down the path, an EXPLORER SATCHEL is on a body to the right and SURVIVAL CACHE 20/21 is across from it, on the opposite wall.

Follow the tracks to an open area.

Tracking Down Trinity - Find your way through the forest to the Trinity base

Take out the guards in this area and then blow up the barrels by FUEL TANK 1/4 to destroy it. Head to the objective beacon and kill the guards in the area. ARCHIVIST MAP is located to the left of the wrecked snow plow by the objective beacon.

Climb up using climbing arrows where you'll kill 2 guards. Hug the left wall until you come across a bridge with a roof. Jump over a bridge's gap to collect SURVIVAL CACHE 2/3. buried in the snow. on the right side. FUEL TANK 2/4 will be loaded on the snow vehicle that is turned on near the objective beacon and MURAL 1/1 will be to the wall right of the objective beacon. Crawl below the wall, collect STAMP (RELIC 1/3) to the left, and light the Weather Station Base Camp.

Jump underwater where you can get another water finisher, if you still need one, and keep swimming until you get to the farther exit. STRONGBOX 1/2 will be to the left. Continue until you see a pair of guards in front of you and a trio to your left. Take a right here to find STRONGBOX 2/2. To the left, where the trio was located, is FUEL TANK 3/4. Get behind the fuel tanks you just blew and face Lara in the direction of the fuel tanks. Turn 90 degrees to the left and head to the trees. Turn right and hug this side of the map until you reach SURVIVAL CACHE 3/3 which is near a tree near the edge of the cliff.

Tracking Down Trinity - Enter the Weather Station

At the top of the stairs, THE ORDEAL (DOCUMENT 1/4) will be to the left of a door and a sign with a wrench and hammer. Circle around the base of this structure and collect RELIQUARY PENDANT (RELIC 2/3). Examine the name on the back to earn more XP. Head to the objective beacon, climb up the ladder, and grab ENGRAVED CASING (RELIC 3/3) on the outside of the weather station. Examine the words on it to earn more XP.

Go inside and THE STRENGTH OF FAITH (DOCUMENT 2/4) will be across the room of a white projector screen. Collect it and unlock:

Light the Solemn Crevasse Base Camp below. Jump in the water and take the right path. SURVIVAL CACHE 2/3 will be on a small piece of land. Head to the objective beacon.

Path of the Deathless - Find the entrance to the Orrery

Make your way to the observatory through the path of spears.

Path of the Deathless - Use the Orrery to open the entrance to Kitezh

Time to get up to the top. Start by pulling the roped sphere near you. Cross the pole to the lower center and pull the roped sphere that's with the hanging beam twice. Do the same with the roped sphere and the metal wall. Climb the lower metal wall and take the path you created. At the top, disengage the first half of the mechanism. Spool swing to the middle center and then walk to the other side of the room to disengage the other half of the mechanism. MURAL 1/1 is to the right of the second mechanism, at the end of a narrow hallway.

The observatory starts to move and you'll want to spool swing back to the middle center. Next, climb the metal wall, the one with the hanging beam. Jump to one of the hanging wooden planks and then drop onto the two sphere rod. Climb the double metal wall pole. From here jump to the center to grab onto square rings near the top (they wrap around the center beam). Climb up to the top center and to the objective beacon. CLASSICALLY TRAINED (CODICES 1/1) will be here. At the climbing arrow section, drop down and collect SURVIVAL CACHE 3/3. Continue through the climbing arrow section until you reach the Path of the Deathless.

Through the Glacier - Make your way to the heart of Kitezh

Jump down and take a left to collect an ARCHIVIST MAP. A BROKEN MAN (DOCUMENT 1/4) is on the left on the main path. Follow the path and eventually you'll reach the Hall of Guardians Base Camp. ESCAPE (DOCUMENT 2/4) will be on the right after a cinematic shot of the Deathless Ones crossing a bridge.

Into the Hidden City - Cross the walls into the Inner City

The Icy Bluff Base Camp is up ahead (Why are two base camps with no danger in between this close?)

Zip line down and you'll get into a fight with a Deathless One. You kill him and fall down where more of them are.

Once you've cleared the area, light BRAZIER 1-2/6 on the high ground to the right (with the objective beacon being forward) with the fire vases beside them. Continue and take down two Deathless Archers shooting at you. Up the stairs will be two more. On top of the structure that the second duo were in is BRAZIER 3/6.

The next cutscene will trap you in an area. Use a poison arrow for the ground troops and shoot the chandeliers above the archers heads' to take care of them. Behind you to the left is a roped barricade with BRAZIER 4/6 behind it. Continue under the archway. Collect LIGHTS IN THE DARK (DOCUMENT 3/4) and MYSTERIOUS FIGURINE (RELIC 1/1) to the right and SAFE PASSAGE (DOCUMENT 4/4) to the left. Light BRAZIER 5-6/6 in the left (which has a wooden barricade) and right windows above and behind you.

Go back to the monolith and face away from the objective beacon. Turn right and burn BANNER 2/8 near the ice wall. Use the white-marked wall to the right of banner 2 and head right. BANNER 3/8 will above an arch close to a Deathless One. Go to the arch that the banner was above and face it. DESPERATE STRUGGLE (DOCUMENT 2/8) will be to your right, inside the building on the same height as you.

Jump into the water between banner 3 and document 2. Act like you're heading towards the objective and you'll find a path that leads to the crypt on your left. MURAL 1/3 will be in front of you when you get out of the water. Break the wall down and grab VALENTINUS, THE TIME KEEPER (DOCUMENT 3/8) on the path to your left. As soon as you reach water, go left to find ADVENTURER'S QUIVER (CRYPT TREASURE 1/1) and unlock:

Emerge from the water and, facing the objective, go to the left building and zip line down. Break the destructible barrier to collect THE PAGAN GOD (RELIC 1/10). BANNER 4/8 is on the other side of the wall to the relic's right.

Head back to the monolith, face the objective beacon, and go to the building right of the building that had banner 1 on it. SURVIVAL CACHE 1/6 will be below the highest wooden platform (the building will be in between Lara and the objective beacon). BELL 1/5, which you have to cut down, will be a story above the survival cache. Facing the objective beacon, turn right and BELL 2/5 in a tower another story above. Facing the objective beacon, turn right and attach the rope to a roped trapped door and lift it with the wheel near bell 2. Facing the objective beacon, HEADLESS STATUE 1/8, which you have to destroy, and MURAL 2/3 will be on the ground behind you. ARCHIVIST MAP will be inside the room below the roped trap door.

Go back to bell 2 and jump to the roof to the left. BANNER 5-6/8 will be to your left and right on the side of the buildings. AMBER NECKLACE (RELIC 2/10) is on the first floor of the building you're standing on. Go to the town's center by heading to the objective beacon until you see a giant pole with a rope coil and a box hanging from it. COIN CACHE 2/3 is near the circular base of the pole.

Near the center is metal barrier. Blow it up and collect STALKING THE DEATHLESS ONES (DOCUMENT 4/8) behind it. Exit the building and turn right. A clothed barricade with KITZHIAN SILVER (RELIC 3/10) behind it is straight ahead. REBIRTH (DOCUMENT 5/8) and BELL 3/5 are on top of the tower that relic 3 was in.

Zip line down to the objective beacon where you will be attacked by a trebuchet in a cutscene.

The Frozen City - Seize the trebuchet

You have to gain control of it by making your way to it. When you reach the trebuchet, lure a Deathless Ones to its edge and knock them down with melee attacks. They will climb back up. Repeat this 4 more times to unlock:

POTENTIAL BUG
There is a bug that causes you to get hit by a fire arrow when you try to use the trebuchet. Simply zip line down until the trebuchet starts to fire at you again and go back to the top.

The Frozen City - Use the trebuchet to destroy the gate

Take control of the trebuchet. Before breaking down the gates, light SIGNAL TOWER 1-4/5. There are 2 to the right of the gate and 3 to the left, although one to the left is too far away. Break down the gate.

The Frozen City - Get through the second gate

Once the gate is broken, blow up the metal barrier to the left left and head inside. Cut down BELL 4/5 inside and grab RUS DRINKING HORN (RELIC 4/10) just outside.

Head towards the gate and zip line down. Go to the left building and zip line down. Jump to the left roof and swing across to another zip line. FLINT STRIKER (RELIC 5/10) is to your right. Facing the relic, head to the left and drop down. Collect SURVIVAL CACHE 2/6 on the ground to your left near a tree stump. At the base of the stairs of the gate your just opened is TRAPPED (DOCUMENT 6/8). To the left is HEADLESS STATUE 2/8. To the right is HEADLESS STATUE 3/8 and BANNER 7/8. Climb up the set of stairs to your right and go into the building ahead by taking a path to your left. Drop down and look to your right to find SPURS (RELIC 6/10) on a barrel.

Head through the gate and light the Citadel Plaza Base Camp. Destroy HEADLESS STATUE 4-5/8 to the left and right of the horse statue in the middle. Head across the area, pass the horse statue, and translate MURAL 3/3. Head to the objective beacon and collect ARMOR-PIERCING ARROWS in a cutscene.

Gate Crasher - Find a way to destroy the gate

After defeating the Deathless Ones, head to the objective until your have to rope swing. Instead of rope swinging, destroy the destructible barrier to your right. Jump the gap behind the barrier and then collect WOODEN ICON (RELIC 7/10) at the end of the upper path.

Head to the objective and rope swing across the gap. Bring down the roped barricade to your right (where you can go back to the camp, if you wish) and zip line down. Pull the roped wooden crane once. Climb up to your left to grab the ARCHIVIST MAP and then use the vase at the end of the wooden crane to break the ice. Make a path up and climb up the soft wood.

Gate Crasher - Use the trebuchet to destroy the gate

Climb up the trebuchet and turn it until the aiming mechanism creates a platform for you to reach the rope post. Connect the roped post with the roped rubble on the trebuchet. Head back to the trebuchet and turn it until the rubble breaks off. Light SIGNAL TOWER 5/5 and land a shot at the gate.

Gate Crasher - Go to the other trebuchet

A third trebuchet will destroy yours so you're going to have to go claim it. Reach it through the linear path and kill any Deathless Ones near the trebuchet.

Gate Crasher - Break the ice off the gear and fire the trebuchet

Ice will be blocking you from turning the trebuchet. To break it, start by pulling the lower side of the wooden crane once and then climbing on top of it to reach the platform across. Connect the bucket on the platform to the higher side of the crane and grab an EXPLORER SATCHEL behind some wooden ruble (this isn't pictured or in the video). Zip line down. Pull the lower side of the crane and then the lever beneath the bucket. Pull the higher side of the crane so that the bucket will fill with water. Drain the bucket by pulling its lever until the vase is level with the ice and then stop the bucket from draining. Use the vase to break the ice and head to the trebuchet.

Gate Crasher - Destroy the gate and repel the attack

Use the trebuchet to take out the archers and finally the gate.

Gate Crasher - Cross the bridge

Continue to the gate, killing any enemies in your path.

You Shall Not Pass - Run!

Run pass the collapsing bridge in an action sequence. Make sure to use your grapple axe at the end.

You Shall Not Pass - Defeat the Deathless Warriors

Fight and kill the Deathless Ones in the area. A cutscene will play.

Ascension - Climb the Tower

Climb some soft wood with climbing arrows. Once you're back on your feet, grab IVORY CARVING (RELIC 8/10) to the right. Examine the carvings the earn more XP.

Keep climbing. You're in no real danger as long as you don't fall. Eventually you'll reach the Broken Spire Base Camp.

Ascension - Reach the top of the Tower

Keep climbing. The last jump will require you to grapple axe to the cross. You'll get a cutscene with Sofia and the Remnant helping you with a trebuchet.

The Divine Source - Fight your way to the Chamber of Souls

Progress through this until you reach the Final Precipice Base Camp. This is the point of no return so make sure to upgrade everything before progressing.

Head to the final area where you'll be fighting a helicopter. You'll damage it by hitting a trebuchet shot when it nears the helicopter, but don't worry, you'll call the shots (excluding the first two) and the fireball will slow down as it nears the helicopter. There will be an initial shot that does not slow down when it nears the helicopter, put if you hit it near the helicopter, it will still count as a hit.

In between trebuchet shots, Trinity soldiers and Deathless Ones will attack you. Once you damage the helicopter three times, you'll fall down and have to fight tow waves of Deathless Ones, although they don't know you're there at first so you can stealth kill them.

The Divine Source - Find an exit

Once you're done with them, Constantine will show up. The first hit is dealt by jumping from a pillar. Distract him with an object and sneak behind him for a second hit. The third and final hit will require you to dodge counter right after the second hit.

A cutscene will play and then you can either kill Constantine with yourself or let him die in the burning building.

The Divine Source - Enter the Chamber of Souls

A final cutscene will play and as soon you enter the doors. As the credits start rolling you will unlock:

Now that you've completed the game, you can go back to Syria through the Syrian Cliff Base Camp, the Syrian Catacomb Base Camp, or the Syrian Tomb Base Camp.

Explore - Use fast travel to explore the world

Head back to the Valley Farmstead Base Camp, the first one you encountered in Geothermal Valley, and look at the stairs leading up. TARGET 7/8 is to the left of the arch. Head into the town. Near the blacksmiths (there are 2 Remnants working outside) is TARGET 8/8 in a bare tree. Go to the challenge tomb locates at the top left of the map. However, before entering the cave, use the broadhead arrows to climb a sift-wood tree to the cave entrance's right to collect AUTUMN (DOCUMENT 29/33).

Enter the cave, kill the bear, and break the wall. After going through some water and another crack in the wall, you'll challenged by a simple "puzzle" that just requires you to be patient and not get swept away by rushing waters. Get through the puzzle and light the Whirlpool Sanctuary Base Camp. Grab SCROLL CASE (RELIC 10/13) nearby. Examine the strap to earn more XP. Disarm the ceiling spike trap and then collect IVORY JAR (RELIC 11/13) to the right after the trap. Climb up the stairs and collect THE AFTERMATH (DOCUMENT 30/33) to the right. Continue forward through the roots.

BATHS OF KITEZH TOMB START

Start by diving down and heading right to collect an ARCHIVIST MAP on the floor. Then go to the center hallway and connect the boat with the middle post. Use the boat's crank to pull the boat to the center of the room. Facing the codex, look to the left post and pull the boat to the post. Enter the room near it. At the end of the room, there's a mechanism that will drain the water when you pull it, so pull it until all the water drains. Quickly head behind you and then connect the mechanism to a crank and pull it to keep the mechanism from resetting.

Return to the boat and pull it to the opposite end of the room. Enter the room nearby by diving under the arch. Use this room's mechanism the same way as before, but this time connect the mechanism to the boat from the mechanism's location. Use the high ground to then get back to the boat and pull the its crank to keep the water drained. Head down the center corridor, blow up the barrels by the gate, and collect IRON GRIP (SECRET 7/9).

BATHS OF KITEZH TOMB END

Head back and make sure to grab A NEW PURPOSE (DOCUMENT 31/33) at the top of the stairs, before the roped barricade. Pull out your map to locate COIN CACHE 5/9 southeast of you, near a challenge tomb.

Head over to MONOLITH near the Ruins Encampment Base Camp, the one we couldn't translate before, and translate it. Then use your map to collect COIN CACHE 6/9 near the crypt entrance south of you.

Return to the Remnant who gave you the drone mission (they're on the west side of the map) to start A HEARTY MEAL (MISSION 4/4). The boars are at the same place where we unlocked the Bacon! achievement and mushrooms are all over the place, usually in caves. Use your map to collect COIN CACHE 7/9 south of you. Near the cache is a tower that has DIVING BOARD 3/4. Dive from it.

Take the bridge to the place where Sofia gave a speech. Take a left (as oppose to going right to the Ruins Encampment Base Camp) where you'll find DIVING BOARD 4/4 and a cave to explore. Enter the cave and light the Hidden Ravine Base Camp. Jump across the gap with a spool swing and grab the EXPLORER SATCHEL to the right. Slide down, jump the next gap, and climb the craggy rock wall. Cross the log and collect SURVIVAL CACHE 17/20 to the left. Continue until you fall.

PIT OF JUDGEMENT TOMB START

Swim to land, turn around, and go up the right set of tracks to find ROPE RING (RELIC 12/13) and UNREPENTANT (DOCUMENT 32/33). Rotate the platform the minecart is on 180 degrees and then push the minecart down. Near the wheel that you used to rotate the platform is a rope post. Use this to create a zip line to the other side. DICE (RELIC 13/13) is on the first floor. Examine the die that has more than one face with six dots on it to earn more XP (those dirty cheaters).

Head to the second floor and dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 18/20 to the left. Use the crank to bring the floor down and then use the other crank to rotate the platform so that you can push the minecart onto it (you'll want to rotate the cn_LS clockwise). Rotate the platform back to how it was, move the platform back up, and push the minecart down. Head down and dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 19/20 to the left of the entrance you just made. Collect THE OVERSEER (DOCUMENT 33/33) and GEOLOGIST (SECRET 8/9) inside the room.

PIT OF JUDGEMENT TOMB END

Fast travel to the Cliffside Lookout Base Camp. Use your map to find COIN CACHE 8/9 north of you. Use your map to find SURVIVAL CACHE 20/20 west of you. Now, pick up a gourd (they're not pumpkins) and toss one into BARREL 1/5 behind the cache. BARREL 2-3/5 are hidden behind some foliage near the gourd patch (you can press cn_RS to switch shoulders if you're having trouble seeing the barrels from an angle).

BARREL 4/5 is on the high ground to the right of barrels 2 and 3. Facing barrels 2 and 3, turn around and go around the house to your right. Near the house, in an area inaccessible to the player, is BARREL 5/5. Fast travel from the Cathedral Courtyard Base Camp to the Ridgeline Base Camp to collect COIN CACHE 9/9 near the diving board.

Use your map to find SURVIVAL CACHE 9/9 near the Installation Vista Base Camp. Zip line down and collect COIN CACHE 8/9 in a crevasse where the crypt entrance is. Go to the sawmill and cut down FLAG 4/7 at the top. Use your map to collect COIN CACHE 9/9 by climbing halfway to the top of the small mountain east of you.

Head to STRONGBOX 13/14 in a cave on the northeast side of the map. It has a metal barrier at its entrance. Outside the cave is FLAG 5/7 on a red cylinder. Now head to STRONGBOX 14/14 in a cave with a roped barricade at the entrance. Exit the cave and look to your right to find FLAG 6/7 near a watchtower. Go to the Copper Mill Yard Base Camp where FLAG 7/7 will be near it.

There will be a point where it may look like you're at a dead end, but if you face the "dead end", you can climb under some rocks to your right.

Start by grabbing COIN CACHE 3/3 near the right side of the map. Look around for BANNER 8/8 on the side of a building near the coin cache. Then circle left of the building the banner was on and dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 3/6 near a wagon (it's the survival cache east of the map).

Head into the cave east of the map and kill the bear inside. GLASS VASE (RELIC 9/10) will be on the ground to your right soon after you break down a wall. Once you get to a point where you'll drop down in water, collect SOLDIER'S PENDANT (RELIC 10/10)to your immediate left and SURVIVAL CACHE 4/6 to your immediate right. An EXPLORER'S SATCHEL is up ahead to your right.

Continue until you reach the Geothermal Cavern Base Camp. SURVIVAL CACHE 5/6 will be near the wall near the base camp. Jump into the water and dive under the arch to your right. You will also see a crack on one of the arcs underwater. You can swim beneath this one and collect SURVIVAL CACHE 6/6 and an ARCHIVIST MAP.

Go back and continue until you see sulfur gas in your path. Use a fire arrow to cause an explosion.

CHAMBER OF EXORCISM TOMB START

Beyond that is the puzzle room where GOOD INTENTIONS (DOCUMENT 7/8) will be on the top left and A MOMENT OF CLARITY (DOCUMENT 8/8) will be on the bottom right.

For the puzzle, pull both lever and go down in the middle (where you drained the water) and free the cage. Next, pull up the cage by using the crank near the middle and then pull the roped weight so the cage is closer to the gate. Pull both lever once more, go back down the middle, and explode the sulfur gas. The explosion will cause the cage to destroy the gate. Now you can collect GREEK FIRE (SECRET 9/9) and unlock:

Card Exploit

What do gamers hate? Loot boxes.

What do achievement hunters love? A good exploit.

Well you're in luck as we can exploit the card packs in the game so that we will spend very little (or even gain) credits to earn a majority of the cards. Now I would recommend you finish the story first as it gives you free card packs and credits. Playing other Tomb Raider games can also give you free card packs.

There is an achievement for collecting 300 of them:

Now to start exploiting:

    1. Open bronze packs (we won't be opening any other packs)
    2. Sell any gold or platinum (blue) cards while keeping any bronze and silver cards. This will eventually cause bronze and silver cards to stop dropping.
    3. Once you start getting all gold or better cards, sell 3 golds (or a gold and a platinum) from each pack that you open. Since the bronze pack cost 5000 credits and the combination of cards sell for 4800 credits, you will be getting 2-3 gold cards for 200 credits.
    4. If you start running low on credits, sell 4 gold cards (or 2 golds and a platinum) and you'll be gaining 1400 credits each time.
    5. Eventually all gold cards will be gone and you'll only get platinum cards. When that happens sell 2 platinum cards until your inventory is full. This will give you 1400 credits for each pack you open.

Score Attack

For these achievements, go to "Expeditions", change "Mode" to "Score Attack", change "Level" to whichever you want to attempt, and change "Difficulty" to "Survivor".

Next are challenges. You will need to complete three of these in one run to unlock:

If you are going to chose a II or III tier challenge, make sure to select the lower tiers. If you are going to select "Deathless" or "Deathless Survivor", make sure to select both. Other than those tips, look through the challenges and select the ones that seem easy to complete.

After earning the achievement, challenges only earn you credits.

Now for the cards. You will need to combine multiple cards in order to reach a score bonus of 200% or more, after completing the level you will unlock:

Note that cards that work against the player will increase the card bonus and cards that work in the player's favor will lower the card bonus. These will help you reach the gold scores as long as you chose the right cards. Here are a list of the most useful cards:

    • Armor-Plated (100%)
        • Enemies have double their base armor strength
            • This one is child's play because of the "Toxicity" card
    • First Aid (100%)
        • Health regeneration is disabled, use bandages to heal
            • Survivor difficulty will apply these rules anyways
    • Grip (100%)
        • Hold cn_X to hang from ledges
            • I don't recommend this as it works horribly while climbing a small ledge and you'll forget about this at the worst time. However, this is a good 100% bonus if you are willing to put up with it.
    • One Life to Live (100%)
        • Dying ends the replay immediately
            • Works well with the "Deathless" challenges. Deaths also decrease score and stop multipliers so we want as little deaths as possible.
            • If you do happen to almost die and you have a score you want to keep, you can quickly pause the game and restart at last checkpoint. Again, this will lose a few points and stop any multiplier that you have.
    • Evasive Maneuvers (50%)
        • Enemies will always dodge melee attacks
            • The "Toxicity" card will make melee unnecessary.
    • Flammable (50%)
        • Take extra damage from fire

Each level has its own spoiler tag which contains the gold score, the video's score, and a video of YouTube user Icarus Wing's run with a gold score (which I had no part in making and all credit for said videos goes to them).

If you want to see how high your score needs to be, use this equation:

Gold Score / ( (100 + Card Bonus) / 100)

So if I need a score of 100,000 and my card bonus is 150%:

100,000 / ( (100 + 150) / 100) = 40,000

Which means I only need to end the round with 40,000 points. I found that as long as you follow the video, you can achieve the needed points in less than half of the video's time.

Thankfully on the Xbox 360 version, the Score Attack achievements are far easier and only 10 (unique) levels need to be completed with a gold score. So you could focus on getting gold on the optional tombs and the Baba Yaga levels (which is also required for an achievement). While coasting through the rest of the levels which should still be easily enough for a bronze score.

As soon as you enter, you'll see DEAR NADIA (DOCUMENT 1/21) on the floor and the Wicked Vale Base Camp nearby. Climb up the ramp to the right and INITIAL CONTACT (DOCUMENT 2/21) will be at the top on a crate.

Lara will be affected by a pollen as soon she enters the crack in the wall and will start to hallucinate. Go through the linear path, hallucinating about Lord Croft, until you end up in an arena. Here, you'll have to fight three-eyed wolves. Kill enough of them and Lara will jump into the water and land in a cave. You will also unlock:

Gathering Clues - Search the cavern for clues

Once you're in control again, jump back into the water, swim behind the waterfalls, and collect FREEDOM STATION (DOCUMENT 3/21). Climb the craggy rock wall and, once you reach the top, turn around, spool swing, and collect A GOOD MAN (DOCUMENT 4/21).

*If you started the DLC as soon as it was available, you will not have the required tools to collect document 4.

Climb until you see a roped barricade to your left. TORN APART (DOCUMENT 5/21) is behind it. Climb up one more time and you'll reach a distillery where you'll have to break a door. Start by lowering a roped weight with a handle to its left. The tie it to a spinning rope post. Finally, once it's high enough, pull the lever beside the hatch. Continue and you'll automatically collect THE FORMULA (DOCUMENT 6/21) (not pictured).

Making the Antidote - Collect Seedpods from inside Caves and Harvest Deer Livers

Fast travel back to the Logging Camp Base Camp in the Soviet Installation.

True Vision - Search the Wicked Vale for the Witch

Head through the same path as when you first enter, although the antidote will save you from the hallucinations this time. Once you get out of the caves with the scarecrows and reach a split path, take two lefts and grab MEETING SERAFIMA (DOCUMENT 7/21). Turn around and go straight. You'll reach a path that circles some trees. SURVIVAL CACHE 1/6 is on this path. Head to the next pink objective and collect THE EYES (DOCUMENT 8/21) on a crate before entering a crack.

Head through the crack, go down the path, and shoot down LANTERN 1/10 in the distance. Looking in the direction that the lantern was in, SURVIVAL CACHE 2/6 is near a tree to your right. Drop down into the arena and collect TAKING RISKS (DOCUMENT 9/21) to your left.

Pull down the roped wall to climb the craggy rock wall behind it.

True Vision - Activate the Rope Works

Once up top, grab DEMON IN THE DARK (DOCUMENT 10/21) to the left. Head into the water and look for a hole in the wall to the right. THE LAST WORD (DOCUMENT 11/21) will be in the hole.

For the puzzle, start by connecting the roped pulley at the top to the roped crank near you and cranking it all the way. Once you let go of the crank, the platforms will start to return to their original positions, although they stop at certain intervals for a second 4 times, the fourth time being their original positions. Head next to the rope post and tie it to the pulley on the first interval. This will anchor the two platforms and will allow you to jump across to another roped crank. Once by the crank at the top, jump across the stone wall near it to collect THE GULAG BURNS (DOCUMENT 12/21).

Connect the top crank to the roped pulley across and below it. Next go to the bottom crank and lock the two platforms on the third interval. Then use the raised ramp, that extends over the water, to climb to the top crank's zip line. Climb the zip line up to the top crank. Turn the top crank all the way and then run across the two locked platforms and the platform that's dropping to reach the top..

Once you're at the top, shoot down LANTERN 2/10 above you, LANTERN 3/10 to the right, and LANTERN 4/10 to the left (it's pretty far). You won't be able to see lantern 4 with Survival Instincts, but you will still see its light.

Shoot it and unlock:

Defeating the Witch - Search the Cave for the Witch

At the top, make sure to collect BEST LAID PLANS (DOCUMENT 13/21) behind a waterfall near the lift. Use Survival Instincts if you're having trouble finding the document as it will glow through the waterfall. Get back on land and dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 3/6 next to the lever. Grab AMONG THE REMNANT (DOCUMENT 14/21) near the base camp. THE WITCH'S ARMY (DOCUMENT 15/21) is on a table in the building just after the base camp.

Head further into the building. You'll fall into the water and start to be affected by the pollen again. A cutscene will play where you meet the witch again, but loose the last antidote. This means you will have to fight the witch while under the influence of the pollen.

Defeating the Witch - Defeat the Witch

Start by killing the Witch's minions and then tie the witch's cauldron to one of the automatic roped cranked. Shoot at the witch occasionally to stop her from breaking the rope. Once she's above the hatch, pull the level and damage her. Repeat this with the other hatch nearby.

She will flood the ground floor and you'll have to swim back to land. There's only one place to swim to, so once you reach it, climb the white-marked wall to your left. You'll face a few enemies here. Kill them and go under the arch. An enemy will jump down the ladder. Kill him and head up that ladder. Up the ladder, some enemies will be guarding a hatch. Kill them and use the hatch to damage the Witch.

A zip line that leads to the water's level will be on you right. Follow it's short path and climb craggy rock walls up a floor. Climb a white-marked wooden wall and pull the lever at the top. This will spawn some floating platforms. Ride one over to a hatch that's slightly above your current height and use it to damage the Witch.

Nadia will call you and give you some plot-twisting exposition. Meanwhile, pull down the roped barricade to your left. There is another lever behind it that will cause more floating platforms to appear. Jump onto the lower floating platforms and head to the hatch across from you. Enemies will spawn near it, so it shouldn't be hard to find. Start heading up the ramp to your right (some archers will probably be shooting you from here) and use it to reach the top set of floating platforms. Move to place where archers are shooting you from. Battle some enemies and use the final hatch to damage the Witch and unlock:

Head back down the path where you went to go fight the witch. It will be flooded. When confronted with a split path, take the path to the left and collect ILL OMENS (DOCUMENT 16/21). Head back to Nadia and use the new path that go upstairs.You will find BABA YAGA'S BROOM (RELIC 1/1) to the left and GRANDMOTHER SERPENT (DOCUMENT 17/21) to the right of the ladder room. Climb up the ladder and look behind you. There is a climbable, wooden structure with CONTROL (DOCUMENT 18/21) at the top.

Ride the lower platforms (these were the floating platforms) to the hatch across the room. Stand by the lever and look down to find a roped barricade. Break this and jump back onto the platforms. From here, jump to the arch by the Witch's scarecrow. DREAMS (DOCUMENT 19/21) is here. Jump down into the water and head straight to land. To the right, near some ammo (unless you picked it up), is a wall you can climb. Go forwards until you see a small path to your left. Follow it and go right to collect an EXPLORER SATCHEL. Turn around and dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 4/6.

Head out of the path and take a left. Take the next left you see and climb the craggy rock walls. Turn around once you reach the top and spool swing across to grab THE COMING MADNESS (DOCUMENT 20/21).

*If you started the DLC as soon as it was available, you will not have the required tools to collect document 20.

Spool swing back and climb up the white-marked wooden wall (this is the place where the Witch shot a fireball at you). Across the room you'll see 4 stationary platforms, There are actually 3 on the left, one is hidden by a wall, and 2 on the right. Dig up SURVIVAL CACHE 5/6 underneath the two platforms near the wall.

Jump onto the top non-stationary platforms and ride them to the other side of the room, the area where the last hatch was. There's a small alcove to the back with SURVIVAL CACHE 6/6. Dig it up and unlock:

For the final document, head towards the hatch with the spinning rope post near the two stationary platforms. When the lowest spinning platform is near the edge, tie the spinning rope post to the pulley above the two stationary platforms. Wait until you reach the structure that has some metal fencing and a wooden post connected to the ceiling and jump to it. You'll then want to jump onto the middle platform of the three stationary platforms, which is now raised, and jump onto the platform above, collect NOT WORTH LIVING (DOCUMENT 21/21) and unlock:

Endurance Mode is under the "Expeditions" tab. Endurance Mode is the Tomb Raider take on the increasingly popular survival genre, but don't expect anything as extreme as in those games, with only a basic hunger and heat meter that need to be maintained.

While on the Xbox One version, this DLC arrived with a whopping 34 achievements (!). The Xbox 360 version has a noticeably meagre total of 10 achievements. Online co-op isn't included on this version, likely due to technical limitations. Instead we are presented with a relatively easy list, made slightly frustrating by the buggy nature of the DLC. This was patched on the Xbox One version but unfortunately didn't receive the same attention on the 360.

For those stacking the game, the main thing that will be noticed is how scarce food is, especially during the final few cycles. This means you won't be able to camp by a fire and wait for animals to appear for too long, and will need to keep on the move to survive. Sometimes you will get into some tight moments, being on the brink of death. With luck and persistence, you should survive 10 days.

All of these achievements are tied to challenges. To earn the achievement, you must have the challenge active, so you can only earn five achievements per run. These achievements can be done in any difficulty.

Run 1

Start by selecting the challenge:

  • Nope
    • Escape the forest on day 1, without recovering any artifacts

Start the game and look for a signal fire which look like a conical, tall camp fire. It requires five pieces of cloth and five oil to ignite and enemies will usually attack once it's lit. Once the helicopter comes, look for the rope and use it to escape. As long as you escaped on your first day and do not collect any artifacts, you will unlock:

Now look for crypts. Once you find one, enter it and look for ceiling spike traps with Survival Instincts. Get trapped and shoot down the traps. The crypt may have other traps. If it doesn't, run a good distance away and then return to it to rearm the trap. Escape from three to unlock:

Also look to apply a hunger card to aid you, as we'll need it.

This run will be dedicated entirely to 'Skillful Raider', which is an incredibly annoying achievement and will take several in-game days. The Tomb Raider card will allow you to see traps ahead, but you still need to go at a snail's pace and be alert for ankle traps (which are still difficult to see). Venture no further into any crypt if you see a floor trap, as these are guaranteed to trigger even if you successfully jump over them, voiding the challenge. You also need to make sure that each crypt is 'unique' or you'll be met with an already opened codice/sarcophagi at the end of the crypt. This will likely take several attempts, make sure to restart and don't quit to the menu if you fail the challenge, as the rare Tomb Raider card will be wasted.

Once you have opened five codices or sarcophagi without getting caught in a trap, you will unlock:

Cards that help your hunger and warmth meter are highly recommended in addition to these.

Once you begin, look for artifacts and crypts. The "Tomb Raider" card will allow you to find artifacts through walls and look for traps in crypts. As soon as you have 10 artifacts, you need to survive until Day 11 and escape. Waiting at a fire will only work for a short amount of time as animals appear to stop spawning, so you'll need to run around and actively hunt them (carrying a lantern at all times for warmth). You'll have some close shaves, but should make it to Day 11.

On Day 6, you will unlock:

Go to "Expeditions" on the main menu and then set the game to:

  • Mode: Cold Darkness
  • Action: New Game
  • Difficulty: Adventurer
    • You can set it to a harder difficulty, but there are no difficulty or score related achievements.

A few things to note about Cold Darkness:

  • As you walk around, you will see infected Trinity soldiers. They cannot see you, only hear you.
  • Nadia and Sophia will occasionally reveal the location of weapons and prisoners, both of which are required for achievements. These are randomized on each run, including strongboxes.
  • Swarms will occasionally happen where a group of Infected will chase you down.
  • The third puzzle is the point of no return. Once you enter it, you cannot go back to explore.

Run 1

Start by selecting the challenges:

  • Give A Man A Fire
    • Kill 20 enemies with Dragonfire Shotgun Rounds
  • An Ocean in Storm
    • Kill 75 enemies in Cold Darkness
  • Spinning Leaf
    • Get 5 headshots with normal arrows in 1:00
  • Armed for Bear
    • Pick up 6 different weapons

Now for the cards:

  • [Shotgun Name] Shotgun V
    • Grants fully upgraded [Shotgun Name] Shotgun with choke attachment
  • [Bow Name] Bow V
    • Grants fully upgraded [Bow Name] Bow
    • "Bow Master" and "Bow Mastery" are alternatives
  • Tomb Raider
    • Grants all Brawler, Hunter, Survivor and Codex skills
    • "[Outfit Name]: Master" and "Expert III" are alternatives without the codex skills
      • "Warrior III", "[Outfit Name]: Hunter', "Hunter III" grant you level 3 Hunter skills, but lack other skill trees and codex skills
  • Eagle Eye
    • Nearby enemies and animals glow through obstacles when Survival instinct is activated
  • Toxicity
    • Grants unlimited Poison Arrows

To get five headshots, zoom in with your bow and then aim it at an enemy. It will automatically grant you a headshot. You can get three with one shot, but if the headshot indicator gets off screen, you will not get that headshot. Once you get five in 1:00, you will unlock:

Now start killing the infected and looting their bodies. You should get dragonfire shells from them, so use them to get kills. Once you get 75 kills, you will unlock:

If you can't find enough dragonfire rounds, the "Cat and Mouse" card makes all shotgun rounds dragonfire.

Now look around for some weapons. You should've already gotten the first one when you spawned and Nadia and Sophia probably already found some more for you. Additionally, you can see the map above to see if any of the weapon spawns are there. Once you grab 6 different weapons, you will unlock:

Get the archivist map here:

The archivist map will reveal all of the documents on the map. However one document is particularly difficult to collect on the 360 version. This will be the document to the south-east of the Central Core, closest to the South Tower. You would climb a nearby tree to reach a ladder above, but this isn't possible as it wasn't patched on this version. The only way to get to this document is to find the zip line pointing to it after shutting down the South Tower, and then ensuring to drop off it (before dropping onto another zip line), to reach the top of the structure with the document on. Other than this, the rest of the documents are simple to collect with waypoints. Collecting them all will unlock:

Now for strongboxes. Unfortunately, Nadia and Sophia don't reveal these, but the "Tomb Raider" card means that you can them through walls. There is also a strongbox on the roof of all three puzzles. Once you find 6, you will unlock:

Once you reach the first tower, Nadia will explain the signs. Here is the relevant information:

Nadia will then give you specific instructions on how to deactivate the tower, which you can repeat by holding down cn_RS. Your objective also gets updated with what you have to do. The puzzles are pretty straight forwards, Nadia asks you a question and you perform an action based on the whether the answer is yes or no.

If Nadia asks about a flag, look for a flag in the center. Flag pictures and countries are displayed on the map's menu.

If Nadia asks about fuse boxes, look for all of the fuse boxes (she'll tell you how many there are).

If Nadia asks about the gas cylinder, look for it and open it to see the lights.

If Nadia asks about pipes, look for pipes. There are usually around 8 of them in close proximity.

When you have the answer, you either have to pull the lever, power up the generator, or reconnect the conduit of a specific system.

The first tower has only one step, the second has two, and the third has three. The final tower will require you to destroy pipes by destroy pistons that run the pipes. Once you complete the final tower, you will unlock:
