Moon Diver

So what we have here is a walkthrough for Moon Divers. MD is a side scrolling hack-and-slash game. You run and dash through levels, cutting everything down with your weapon. You also have MCs, which are special abilities you use MP to cast, and they do various things.

The achievements are focused on finishing the stages, a few cumulative things, one collectible achievement, and some multiplayer stuff. You only need 50 of the 60 collectibles and none of them are hard to acquire with a guide. The multiplayer requires 4 people and can be done online, but you can also do it with 4 controllers. Having at least one extra controller to level up your characters for that achievement will help speed up the completion. If you have 2 controllers, you only need one playthrough, if you don't have an extra, you'll need 3 partial playthroughs to get the 3 characters you didn't play up to stage 9 so they can grind levels.

The path to 100% looks like this:

1. First playthrough with Seyfert. We'll finish all of the stages, get the MCs, and get a cumulative achievement or two.

2. Powerleveling characters with Stage 9. If we have an extra controlle,r Seyfert can simply carry the other characters there to level up. If not we have to play through Stages 1-8 to get to 9 so we can level up.

3. Now comes the multiplayer part. You have to link MCs with the other players, which can be done as soon as the stage starts. Pretty simple.

Controls: The controls for the game are pretty straightforward:

cn_A = Jump

cn_X = Attack

cn_B = Use MC

cn_Y = Not used

cn_RT = Air Dash

cn_LT = Not used

cn_LB = Crouch

cn_RB = Not used

Gameplay: Most enemies in the game are quite easy. You'll get an MC in stage 2 that basically gives you the main power enemies in 80s and 90s had - if your body touches an enemy, you damage them. This allows you to roll straight through hordes of enemies with ease. It's actually easier than attacking with cn_X, because your sword only hits one enemy at a time. So it can take some time to cut through groups of enemies with your sword, and you can't pick enemy it hits, so it may hit fodder instead of the powerful enemy you actually want to hit. With the body slam active, you can bowl through a line of them and hit/kill them all. The only catch is that it's temporary. It doesn't cost a lot of MP though, so as long as you only use it when you actually need it you'll be fine. The two enemies in the game that will actually be a struggle are the laser cannons and bullet turrets, and I'll cover those as we come to them. You get an MC that makes dealing with them much easier. It freezes all the enemies on-screen. You'll also get MCs that heal you, which makes it much easier to survive. The final MC I use boosts your attack power for a short time, which I use for bosses.

There are 4 characters, and they all have 3 stats: HP/MP/POW. HP is health, MP is used to cast MCs, and POW is attack power. When a character levels up, they get one point to put in any stat they want, however, characters don't get the same boost per point in each stat as everyone else. At the character selection screen, it tells you who gains a lot in what stat. Seyfert gets an average gain in all 3 stats, which is why I prefer him for your starting character, but it's up to you. As for leveling Seyfert, you want to aim for something like 2 in POW/2 in HP/1 in MP. Around 20 HP I'd start doing 2 POW/1 MP or something like that. It felt like once I get my HP high enough adding more didn't do much.

Achievements: None of the achievements are missable since you can simply replay the stage, but it's possible to go through a stage and not get all the MCs if you're not careful. Some stages also have secret areas you can miss, and a few stages even have multiple paths you can take. One of the achievements is for visiting every area, so you'll have to play through some stages a few times to get all the areas. Still, nothing too complicated while following a wakthrough. The other achievements that will take some time is using 10 of the 2 player/3 player/4 player MCs, which require either other human players over Xbox Live, or 4 controllers locally. The grindiest will be leveling all characters so their average level is 50.

Before you start make sure to change the difficulty in the "help and options" to easy. As I said on page 2, I used Seyfert as my first character. With each stage you'll see a map, which shows the areas in the stage and the general layout. Areas that are blue dots have MCs in them, which you need 50 of for the achievement. Areas generally move left to right, but I've done my best to show the actual movement on the maps with arrows, though I avoided it in a few cases for clarity's sake. Make sure to check page 2 for the controls and everything, though the game does tell you about some of it as you play. The signs in the first stage tell you about the basic controls for example.

Stage 1: Counterattack

As a side note, I played through the game on normal until stage 9 or so, which I don't recommend. I actually died in stage 1 the first time through. As long as you get Ceno's Relaxation you'll be good. You can simply equip that if you die. It heals you, so it makes the game much more manageable. I'm not sure you'll have that problem on easy, but if you do, equip Ceno's Relaxation to heal and you'll find things are much easier.

Stage 1

Ninja Assault - Head right, you'll meet the first enemy of the game. Attack them with cn_X until they die, and continue right. You'll eventually run into a turret. These aren't the ones I talked about on-page, they are quite weak compared to them. After you cross a pit you'll come to a sloped wall. There's some platforms above you, jump up to the top of them to find a big yellow item, it's an MC called Alua's Disregard. The yellow enemy here will explode shortly after you kill it, sending flames to its left, right and above and below it. You either need to move out of the way, or jump over the flames when they explode to avoid damage. Drop down one platform, and then jump on the one left of you. Drop down to the platform below you and you should see a platform to the left. You'll want to double jump and then air dash (cn_RT) onto the platform and then grab the MC Ceno's Relaxation. From here head up the sloped wall and go right. You'll see GO and an arrow, this is the transition to the next area. You can't backtrack, so make sure you have everything before you go to the next area, otherwise you'll need to replay the stage.

Monstrous Army - Head right until the screen moves and you're blocked in. This is an arena fight, and they are quite common in this game. You have to destroy everything to move on. You'll have some enemies you've seen before, but you'll also see the new bee enemies. These are a pain in the butt because they fly around and some variations can shoot stuff at you, but we'll soon have a MC that makes them easy. For now you have to jump at them and hit them with your sword to kill them. Anyway once it's clear head right, you'll see a platform that has 2 slanted bars holding it up, climb to the top of these platforms to find the MC Lofa's Grief. Once you have that drop down to the bottom and you'll see a sign pointing down and to the left. Follow this path into another arena. The black bees can shoot projectiles, so try to stay moving so they don't hit you too much. After you clear it head left and you'll be sent down and to the right, and you'll come to yet another arena with an obnoxious amount of bees. Once you're done head right to the next area.

Fallen City - Head right. You'll reach a wall and you'll have to go up, and you need to slide under the wall to progress. Watch out for the pit, as a flame spout spews flames to the ceiling. Wait for the fire to go away and claim the MC Motaht's Amity in front of you. Head right to the next area.

I Thought I Told You Not to Come Here!! - Head right until you get an arena. Watch out for the pit, as some orb thing will jump out of it and it can damage you (basically a different kind of that flame jet). Head right across the platforms until you see a wall and the only way is up. You'll notice there's a small hole in the wall with rubble in the way, you can't break it now but it leads to an MC called Wance. There's a ton of strong enemies in the way though, so you'd probably die anyway, just mentioning it for when we come back. Anyway, head up and go right for another arena, mostly bees again. Now you want to head right BUT DO NOT ATTACK you want to avoid destroying the boxes here. You'll come across a box, jump on it and then jump onto the platform above and to the left. Jump on that box and then double jump in the air to get the MC Frezos's Elevation. Head right and you'll come across another arena. These guys in black suits will shoot guns at you, you might have seen them before but there's a lot here. They love to sit on the edge of the screen and shoot at you. Once it's clear head right to the next area.

Outpost Done - Head right, jumping on higher platforms as you see them. Try not to fall down as you'll have to deal with moving platforms to get back up. The pit has purple fire, which is the game's way of telling you if you fall down there you'll take damage, so try not to do that. Anyway if you stay on the upper platforms, you'll come across a fire and a slope down, take it down. Head right and you'll come to another fire in the air, head down and at the edge jump right. You'll see a wall in the way with a sign by it, simply hold X until your weapon glows blue and then let it go to use a charge attack against the wall to break it. Head right to the wall and then jump down and break the wall and continue right. Follow the stationary platforms up and then go right and over the wall to the next area.

Asterios Ruins - Drop down the platforms until you see the purple fire, and head right across the platforms. You'll have to head up next, but be very careful as you do. There's a laser cannon at the top near the ceiling. LCs shoot a laser going left or right, and then it sweeps the other direction. It does massive damage, and can kill you in one or two hits. You can kill it for a bunch of experience or leave it alone. To kill them watch what direction they start shooting in and then attack from that side as the laser sweeps. So if the laser starts on the right side, once it's pointing straight up jump up to its left side and then hit it until the laser resets, then go back down and wait for the laser to sweep again. These will be very common soon, but we'll have an MC that will freeze them for a bit so you can kill them more easily. Anyway to the right is the wall you need to break. Go right but instead of jumping to the next platform, drop into the pit to find an MC on the left wall called Ceno's Treatment. With that head back up and jump across the platform and continue right to the boss.

For the first phase, he will either jump into the air and land on the other side of the arena (walk under him as he does this to avoid it) or he will bend over and stomp his foot twice, then charge. When he does this jump onto the platform opposite him and jump into the air after the second stomp, as he will charge. Once you deplete about 1/3 health, he will fall over and you can whack him some more. Once he gets back up, his moves change. Now after his first charge he will charge back across the arena. His leap now also involves him bending over, but he won't stomp his feet. Once 2/3 of his health is gone, he gets one new attack. He will charge energy into his stomach and then shoot a beam across the bottom of the screen. You'll want to be on top of one of the platforms when he does this.

Make sure to equip the MC Ceno's Relaxation before you head into stage 2. The Ceno's line of MCs will be a staple for your playthroughs.

Stage 2: Day of Destruction

Stage 2

SZk Air Torpedo! - Head right, you'll come across some moving platforms. Past the second one is more of them, you want to jump onto the top one and then jump onto the platform above it. Jump up these platforms until you reach the top one, and jump to get the MC Milliam. Jump off and head right and you'll get an arena with a few enemies, and a canister looking enemy. It will constantly summon explosions if you're anywhere near it, it has a huge range. Kill them as soon as you see them. Once you kill everything head right again and you'll reach a wall that has what looks like teeth or something. Grab the wall and take it up and to the left into a tunnel. Jump to the top, and then head right for an arena with a canister. Once it's clear head left to the wall and you'll see an MC inside it, break the block you can't see and grab the MC Thor's Arc+. Head a little further right and the game will tell you to go up, do so to get to the next area.

Run! Ha ha ha! - Use the platforms to go up. You'll reach a small shaft leading up, grab onto the wall and climb up it. Use the platforms to continue going up, then right down a huge slope. At the bottom jump to the right and grab the MC Nive's Anger. If you miss it you can jump back onto the platform and try again. Use the floating platforms to get onto the stationary platform with the canister and head right again. You'll eventually reach some platforms that have stairs on them, that's your cue to start heading up. At the top you'll see a light gray platform, this will crumble when you step on it. You need to jump onto that one and jump across a few more going right to grab an MC called Falk's Joy. If you fail, you'll have to jump across some platforms going right, and then follow them up. You'll see another light gray platform, jump onto it and then the platform left of it, and you can jump onto the platform with the MC. Head right onto the platforms, take a few up, and then head right to the next area.

Mosquito Museum - Head right and destroy the canister, and a bit after that you'll find a hole that leads to a canister and a path going left. Drop down into the hole you see and go right, you want to jump over to a platform straight to your right and then go up the path. When you see the small platforms jump up them to find a canister, and then go right. You'll reach an arena, and the red guy will make his appearance. He is quite hard to kill because he blocks most of your attack. You either have to freeze him, or wait until he jumps into the air and spins around and then you can hit him. As with most enemies, he will also disappear if you wait long enough. Once he's dead a ship will spawn. These have cannons on each wing and some of them will drop extra enemies. You want to attack the bottom of it (so the wings can't shoot you) until it dies, then the stage is done.

You'll want to equip the MC Nive's Anger. Much like the Ceno line of MCs, the Nive line will be another staple in your MC setup all game. This is the body slam MC I've mentioned a few times already. When you cast it, you damage every enemy you walk into for the duration. This helps a ton just in general because you can only hit one or two enemies at a time with your sword, but with a body slam, you can just run straight through them all and damage them. It will kill weaker enemies in one hit. Another use of it is that you can actually stand close enough to some bosses to damage them with body slam, and also hit them with your sword, increasing your damage output. Basically, when you see a group of enemies use this and run through them.

Stage 3: Abandoned Guardians

Stage 3

Sheer Wall - Head right. The path will eventually slope upward and then hit a wall, climb the wall all the way up until you can't go any higher, and then jump on the moving platform and head left to a wall and then take that up. The path will start going right again, use the moving platforms to head right. Eventually, you'll jump on a platform and see a platform at the top of the screen, jump onto that, onto the stationary platform nearby and head right to the next area.

Rain - Head right and you'll see these, uh...roombas. They damage you when they run into you and some colors can shoot at you. They are quite easy to kill though. Continue right for an arena fight. Once it's clear head right and jump over the first pit, then fall into the 2nd one, head to the right and jump onto the small platform and destroy the hidden wall, and go right to a secret area.

Secret Room Destruction - Head right for an arena fight. You'll see two new things here. The first is a guy will appear on the screen and then these moving walls will cross the screen. If they hit you they knock you down and do some damage. The other is these enemies that glow. They do more damage and take more hits to kill but are pretty easy to kill if you mash X to kill them before they hit you. Once you've won head right for the MC Thor's Arc Combo++, then head right to the next area.

We Have Descended - Simply stay on the ground and head right. After a long walk, you'll reach a ledge and see purple fire, jump to the right to land on a platform and head up, then right to the next area.

Temple of the Wicked - Head right into an arena fight against a ton of the little robot things. Jump onto the platform to the right and then head up and left. You'll see a platform above you going right, jump onto it and head right. Follow the platform above left and then jump onto the one above that going right. Do it again and then head right, across a gap you'll have an arena. Destroy the ship to end it. Head right, jump up the wall and then go right for a new enemy, that I lazily call the swordsman. His main attack is dashing to you and swinging his sword, and he also dashes to random spots on the ground and throws an orb of energy at you. Regardless of what he does, your goal is the same. You want to get behind him when he is doing either attack and hit him, which will probably knock him away. Try and get behind him before he gets up so you can smack him again before he does anything. Repeat until he dies, which finishes the stage.

Stage 4: Closed Paradise

Stage 4

This stage is the first of the stages that have branching paths and a ton of stages. The biggest stage before this was 1, which had 7 areas. Stage 4 has 16, more than double. Despite the size, there's not actually a ton of MCs to grab, so it's mostly just surviving until the end. You will need 3 playthroughs to visit every area. The good news is that you don't need to finish the stage each time, you only need to visit the area. I got the achievement at the beginning of the last area I needed to visit, but to be safe what I would do is get to the next area and then die to make sure it is saved. I'll detail when to do this.

Madness - Simply head right to the next area.

The End of Fiction - Go right a tiny bit and you'll see stairs going up and stairs going down. This is the first true split path. Taking the upper path will take you to an area, and the lower path will lead to a different area. Anyway, jump onto the top stairs and go up. Continue heading right, jump over the pit, and you'll find a block and the next area.

Lost - A short, simple area. Simply head right to the next area.

Broken Dreams - Head right for an arena. A bird will appear, and he'll drop a bunch of fireballs onto the platforms. You'll see a red light where they will land. Hanging off a platform will not stop you from getting hit. Once it leaves you can head right to the next area.

Broken Future - Head right. This area has a few rooms, and they all have flame spouts in the pits. The easiest way to get around them is to jump and grab the ceiling, and head over the flames. There are also a few canisters. After a couple of rooms, you'll reach the next area.

Anarchy - Head right until you get an arena fight, just destroy the ship to end it and head right to the next area.

Yell! Scream! - Go right to find a wall of old cars. Some of the cars will break from one hit and others seem to only die from a charged attack. Head right through the first set. When you reach the second set, jump up to the 3rd platform from the bottom, as you break cars you'll come across the MC Cassus's Refusal. Then go right to the next area.

Existence - Head right and you'll reach an arena with easy enemies, a ton of bees mostly. Once it's clear head right to the next area.

Prototype Model - Similar to Broken Future, it's just a bunch of pits with flame spouts and canisters. Head right to the next area.

Planet Blaster Cannon - Here's the boss, which is a big cannon. It charges up and then shoots, and it will likely kill you instantly (though perhaps you might survive one hit on easy). When it is charging, blocks will drop down and you need to jump on them to avoid getting hit by the cannon blast. If the block falls onto you, or you attack it, it will disappear, so if you aren't careful you can screw yourself over. When you get it down to 2/3 health, it will move to the right and you'll have to head right. Repeat the same pattern (only two blocks will fall this time) until it is down to 1/3 health and it will move again. Follow it and destroy it (only one block this time) to end the stage and get an achievement.

Playthrough 2

When we do playthrough 2 or more of a stage, the walkthrough will be abbreviated. I won't talk about areas we've already been through unless you need to take a specific path.

Madness > End of Fiction - This time stay on the ground and take the lower path going right to the next area.

Evolutionary Purpose - Head right to an arena with a bunch of bees. Head right for another arena fight with a bunch of bees. There's a moving platform in the middle and one of those orbs that comes up from a pit. Once it's clear, head right to the next area.

Humanity's Future - This is another split path; take the lower path again to the next area.

Fruit of Paradise - Head right, you'll have another fight with the swordsman. The fight is the same as the last time. Head right to the next area.

Prison of Delusion - Go right and you'll see a path going up and down; take the one going down to find the MC Thor's Arc Combo. Now take the upper right path to the next area.

Escape to Reality - Head right across the moving platforms to the next area. There are some bees on the way but body slam will deal with them. The cannons on the ceiling shouldn't bother you if you keep moving.

Existence - Already been here, so just die. The easiest way to do so is to go right and stand in the pit until you die.

Playthrough 3 - Madness > End of Fiction - Take the lower path. > Evolutionary Purpose > Humanity's Future - Take the upper path to the next area.

Killing Machine - Head right for an arena, you'll meet the Bullet Turret (BT from now on). It's the other enemy besides LCs that can wreck your run real quick. They don't take as many hits to kill as LCs though, and can be frozen, so they are slightly easier. On easy they turn very slowly, so you can get behind them and hit them if you don't want to freeze them, or don't have the MP. Head right to the next arena for 2 BTs. After that head right for a laser reflector. You'll see little orbs and the enemy bounces lasers off them. It has very little HP though, so generally, you just need to get close to it, crouch under the first laser, and then kill it before it fires another. Once it's dead, grab the ceiling in this area and head to the highest point, you'll find the MC Lofas's Worry. Head right to the next area.

Anarchy - Already been here, just die. There's a pit not too far to the right.

Stage 5: Dead Sea

Stage 5

North Atlantic - Head right to an arena fight against the strongest enemy in the game and it will be a pain in your ass for the rest of your playtime. It's a laser cannon (henceforth LC). It shoots a laser left or right and then sweeps the laser to the other direction. This is also where I had to stop playing on normal because I struggled. The main problem with LCs is when they are shooting in your direction and they hit you before you can even react. The good news is that you can freeze them, which not only stops them from moving but also stops the laser for the duration. Anyway, destroy this one to clear the fight. Head right to find two more LCs, and then 2 more after that in an arena fight. Destroy the LCs and then you just have a few mosquitoes to kill. Head right for another arena fight, destroy the ship first. Head right afterward and you'll reach the next area.

Buoyant Travel Bags and Shipwrecks - This area is simple. Head right, jumping across the boxes as you go. You'll come across the next area eventually.

Battleship "Great Union" - Head right through a ton of enemies to an arena, the main enemy is a couple of the red guys. Once it's clear the next area is a tiny bit to the right.

Ghost Fleet - Head right into an arena with easy enemies. Head right for the MC Niltor's Resonance and the next area.

Rudderless Voyage - Head right until you see the tip of a platform above you. Jump onto it and head left, and jump onto the next platform. Head left until you see a platform with red lights, jump onto it. Jump to the one to the right, then the left platform, and then the one above that. There's another platform to the right, and then one to the left. Above this is the MC Frezos's Rise. Drop down to the big platform, and head right onto the next one. The edge of this platform is sloped down, you want to jump into the air and a little to the right to find the MC Kutoh's Taste. Now head right until you get an arena fight. It's just purple bees. About 175-200 of them. This is a great place to get the achievement for a 100 kill chain. When you kill enemies rapidly you see a number and then kill, which is your kill chain. So you only need to get 100 of the 175-200 bees. The easiest way to do this is to use your Nive MC to get body slam, and then intentionally run into the bees to kill them. Your HP/MP will be refilled at 50 and 100 kills, so don't worry if you get hit a few times, and since there are way more than 100 bees, don't worry if miss some, just make sure to keep the chain going. Once they're all dead, the stage is complete. You'll pick up an achievement if you get a 100 kill chain.

Stage 6: Hades Opens

Stage 6

Cruiser "Revolutia" - Head right, you'll run into a ton of LCs, and there's also a canister after the 6th LC or so that will be shooting at you the whole time. Use freeze liberally and make your way right. You'll reach an arena, destroy the ship. Once it's done, head right. You'll need to jump onto boxes and avoid falling into the water. You also want to keep an eye ahead. Once you start seeing purple bees, 2-3 boxes later you'll see a red structure ahead of you with an MC at the top called Motaht's Attachment. 3 boxes later you'll be on a red box, and to the right is the MC Ceno's Therapy. On the next box, you'll see the Tycal MC up and to the right. If you miss it you might fall into the next area and will have to replay the stage to get it. Not that it matters much since it's close to the start anyway.

Great Ocean Waterfall - When you move right the screen will move on its own, so you need to keep your eyes open for the MCs in this area since you have a limited time to grab them. On about the 10th box (which is red after a few grays) you'll see an MC to your right called Cassus's Resistance, make sure to grab it. Continue right and you'll see a big ship skeleton in the background. At the end of it is the next MC Lofa's Tragedy in the air. After 5-6 more boxes, you'll see the last MC, Alua's Indifference. A few boxes below that is the next area.

Underwater Space Base - Head down to the bottom, there's a ton of LCs on the way and a canister or two. If you want you can simply keep dropping down through every platform to avoid fighting any of the LCs, I really hate fighting them in the vertical parts. At the bottom, you'll have an arena fight. There's not even that many enemies, so it's a quick fight. It also ends the stage.

Stage 7: Enormous Route

Stage 7

Infiltration - Easy area. Simply head right to the exit. There's mostly easy stuff, but there are 2 sets of 2 laser cannons. As always freeze them and destroy them before they can hit ya.

Escape Velocity - Head right. You'll come across a group of 3 laser cannons and a bunch of fodder. Freeze and destroy the cannons and a little further right you'll see a breakable block, but for now, head up. Jump up the platforms and head right and you'll reach the next area.

Reconnaissance - Head up, you'll have to deal with 2 laser cannons as you climb. Once you reach the top head left. Break a few blocks and then cross two chasms with flame traps, and you'll see a partially obscured block, break it and go left to enter a secret room.

Secret Room Complications - Like most secret rooms, head right to an arena. Mostly bees. Once it's clear head right to find the MC Frezos's Festival. Head right to the next area.

To Space - Simply head right to the next area. You'll have 2 groups of 2 laser cannons, and a BT after the second group of LCs.

Hijacked Battleship - Head right to the next area, you'll have a bunch of blocks to destroy on the way. 3 Lasers cannons and a bullet turret on the way.

No Survivors - Again, 2 more sets of 2 laser cannons. You'll reach a dead-end where you can go down, instead break the block to the right and head right. You'll come to a bullet turret, and then the exit to a secret area.

Secret Room Oblivion - Head right for an arena. Mostly bees, but you'll have to contend with the rotating walls as you fight. To the right is the MC Thor's Arc Squad++.

Autopilot - Head right to find 3 laser cannons and a bullet turret, freeze them before you head in there or you can get blown up real quick. Continue right, and right before the exit, you'll find 3 more laser cannons and another BT.

Freight - Head right, you'll run into 2 laser cannons, and right after that is that big laser cannon boss. The main difference is that you can simply jump on the upper left platform to avoid the blast, and no blocks fall. If you use body slam and make sure you're close enough for it to proc, you might be able to destroy it before it can even fire once, though I wouldn't push it. Go right to the next area.

To The Moon - The final stage is quite odd. Head right and then grab the ceiling and head right. You'll come across 2 laser cannons, and when you do look at the ceiling, as you should see an MC nearby after you kill them. Move under it and then climb up and grab the LC Levint. Continue right to the "boss". It's an arena fight with a bunch of bees coming from the left and right. Simply use body slam and let the bees run into you. Every once in a while they will shoot at you...not really a ton you can do about it considering the battlefield. If you let go of the ceiling you'll just take some small damage. Heal if necessary. Once they're all dead the stage ends.

Playthrough 2

Infiltration > Escape Velocity - Head right as last time, but this time when you reach the wall break it and go right to a secret area instead of going up. You'll come across FIVE laser cannons together, freeze 'em and destroy 'em. Then continue right.

Secret Room Unhinged - Head right for an arena. It has a little bit of everything but most of the enemies are the purple bees. Just cast body slam and stand still and they'll suicide on you. One it's clear head right to find the MC Thor's Arc Army, and then continue right to the next area.

Far From Space - Head down. You'll come across 2 laser cannons as you go down. Once you reach the bottom, break the walls to your left and head left. Keep going until you reach what appears to be a gold platform. Crouch down (Hold cn_LT) and use a charge attack to break the walls under the platform, then drop down and get the MC to your left, Thor's Arc Combo+. Now head right. Right before you reach the next area you'll find a BT and an LC.

Lunar Orbit - Head right until you see paths going above and below. You want to head down until you reach the next area.

Blaster Cannon - Head down to the bottom, you'll find 3 LCs on the way down. Once you hit the bottom go left. After you break two walls you'll see one more, and past that is the MC Kutoh's Tenacity. Head right, you'll see a few LCs, and then the next area.

The Target is Always Straight Ahead - Head right and then follow the path down, you'll have a few LC on the way. When you reach the bottom head right. You'll find a breakable block, and a path going up. Break the block and go right.

Secret Room Rigid - Head right to an arena, mostly bees as usual. Once it's clear head right to find the MC Alua's Silence. Head right to the next area.

Bullet Nest - Head right until you see a path going up, and go through the block going right as you've done like ten times in this stage. Head right all the way to the wall. Backtrack a few steps and look down, and you'll see a partially obscured MC. Drop down the platform above it to find Nive's Fury. Go back to the path going up and do so to the next area.

Freight/To The Moon

Stage 8: Battle Planet

Stage 8

You'll need a total of 4 playthroughs to get everything, so get ready for some tedium.

Planet Blaster Satellite "Luna" - Simply head right to the next way, nothing but fodder in the way.

Look Down on Treacherous Countries - Head right and then you'll have to go down. You'll have laser cannons as you go down, so be ready to freeze a lot. At the bottom, you'll find a floating platform going to the right, jump onto the next one (there's an LC on the ceiling) and then jump on the left wall and head up (it's the wall a little bit to the right of the LC). At the top head left and destroy the wall to find an MC behind it called Niltor's Chorus. Head right. When the floor opens up to the flames, jump onto the ceiling and head right to the next area. There are 2 LCs on the way.

Secret Room Suspicion - Head right for an arena. A couple floating ships, but other than that nothing special. Once it's clear head right for the MC Falk's Euphoria, and then to the next area.

Earth Watcher - Head right. There's a ton of LCs, so be ready to freeze. You'll reach a spot where you can continue right or go down, go right. When you have to slide, you'll have a bunch of LCs after it.

Cannon Control Room - Head right and you'll encounter some BTs, when you see a pit head right and slide under the wall. Head right and then head down, and at the pit go right again to find the laser reflector miniboss. After that head right, slide under the wall and deal with the LC. Then break the wall and kill the next LC and head up. Head right at the top to find 4 LCs together, once they're gone continue right to the next area.

Heavenly Sniper - Head right. You'll reach a fork where you can go up or slide right, head up to the next area. You'll face a few LCs before the exit.

Ruler of Earth - Head up and you'll find a few BTs. At the top head right for a new hazard. You'll see flame spouts, wait until they fire and go past them once the fire goes down. Head right to the next area.

Moonlight Destructor - Head right past the flame pit, and when the room opens up you want to head up and to the right to find the MC Frezos's Excitement. With that head back to where the room opened up and then head down to the next area. There's a BT and LC in the way.

Burning Light - Head down and keep an eye on the right wall. You'll see a wall you can break but it leads to nothing. Further down, right after a BT, you'll see another wall you can break on the right, break the wall and continue right. Destroy the floating ship and continue right to the wall and keep pushing right and you'll get the MC Thor's Arc Squad. Backtrack to where you were going down and continue to do so to the next area.

The Door Has Been Closed - Head down. You'll reach a spot where there's a breakable wall on the left and right (you might see the arrow sending you right) break the left wall and head left. You'll find the MC Thor's Arc Squad+. Now break that right wall and head through. You'll come across a floating ship and then 2 LCs, and then the exit.

Firebird in the Void - Head right, and at the pit head up for an arena with a bunch of fodder. Head right once it's clear. You'll reach another arena, once it's clear head up for another arena. Once it's clear head up yet again. At the top head right for a boss. Start by attacking the egg or whatever until it breaks, then the boss proper starts. He has 3 attacks. He either spits fire that falls onto the ground and just like when we saw him the first there is a red aura where it will land. He also shoots bullets from his head in an arc, they do about the same damage as a BT. His third attack is to turn into a flame ball and bounce around the arena. The entire fight you'll see flames on the ground that mean a small explosion is about to happen there. It can be hard to dodge everything. I just kept jumping and smacking the boss until it died, healing as needed. Once it's dead the stage is over, and you'll get an achievement.

Planet Blaster Satellite "Luna" > Look Down on Treacherous Countries - Instead of breaking the wall and going right to the secret room, head up and then right across the ceiling to go straight to Earth Watcher, no point in doing the secret room. > Earth Watcher > Cannon Control Room > Heavenly Sniper - When you reach the fork slide under the wall and go right to find the MC Alua's Cold Heart, and past that is a secret room.

Secret Room Hollow - Go right for an arena, DO NOT destroy the boxes here, you need at least one to get an MC after the fight. There will be 3 LCs, and then a ton of bees. Jump into the middle of the arena and destroy the LCs, then stand still and just jump to hit the bees, don't move around trying to go get them all. Once it's clear jump on one of the boxes and the MC is in the middle of the 2 boxes, right below the ceiling. It's called Wamruce. Go right to the next area.

Burning Light - Simply head down until you reach the next area. There's one LC on the way.

The Door Has Been Closed - You can die here.

Playthrough 3

Planet Blaster Satellite "Luna" > Look Down on Treacherous Countries - Instead of breaking the wall and going right to the secret room, head up and then right across the ceiling to go straight to Earth Watcher, no point in doing the secret room. > Earth Watcher - Head to the fork going down or right, and go down this time to the next area.

Humanity's Weapon - Head down to the bottom, and then head left. Jump on the regular platforms (the grey ones will disappear after you walk on them) and get the MC Motaht's Love. Head right to find some LCs, and then the next area.

Lunar Gaze - Head right to find 3 BTs and 3 LCs on the same platform. Continue right, break the wall and slide under a wall and then head down for some more of each. Then head right for a breakable block and more of each behind it. Head up and then right again to find a room with 2 red platforms that have a bunch of LCs attached to them. Once you've destroyed them all jump onto the higher red platform and get the MC above you in the cables called Thor's Arc. From here head right under the low wall to the next area.

Domination - Head right to a fork. Head down. There's a bunch of those moving walls that hurt you, so be careful as you head down.

Endless Battle - Head down to the bottom, avoiding more moving walls. When you reach the floor, head left for the MC Nive's Irritation. Now head right, with some basic enemies in the way to the next area.

Moon of Extinction - Head right to find some BTs. When you reach an up/right fork, go right to find the MC Kutoh's Interest. Head back to the fork and go up past some BTs to find the next area.

The Door Has Been Closed - Again, you can simply die here.

Playthrough 4

Last one, but it's only for one room. Feels bad.

Planet Blaster Satellite "Luna" > Look Down on Treacherous Countries - Instead of breaking the wall and going right to the secret room, head up and then right across the ceiling to go straight to Earth Watcher, no point in doing the secret room. > Earth Watcher > Humanity's Weapon > Lunar Gaze > Domination - Instead of going down, break the wall to the right and head right past some BTs to find the MC Niltor's Song. Break the block behind all the cables and head right to the next area.

Secret Room Shiver - Head right for the arena, you'll have to fight our favorite swordsman again. Same process applies, stay away from him until he stands still, then go behind him and smack him some. After he's dead you'll have a bunch of bees, then head right for the MC Ragronam. Head right to the next area.

The Door Has Been Closed - You can either kill yourself or go to the boss again.

Stage 9: Ruin Wanderer

Stage 9

This one is much simpler than 8, thankfully.

The New World - Head right until you have an ambush. It's a ton of those teleporting guys. Once it's clear, continue right for another ambush with a ton of the people ones that shoot homing bullets. Head right for another ambush with a bunch of different enemies and a floating ship. Once they're all dead head right to the next area.

Treacherous Moonlight - Head right and you'll find some floating platforms. You need to take them all the way up to some stationary platforms, then follow the path they make up and right. Eventually you'll reach a big wall you can jump onto and climb up, and then head right for an ambush with one of those laser reflectors. Once it's clear, double jump up and you'll see a platform with an MC to the right of you. You want to jump on one of the moving platforms and jump up to the platform with the MC Falk's Smile. With that you want to head down and then right when you see the purple fire. From here follow the platforms up and to the right for the next area.

Moon Drivers - Head right, and when the ground slopes up a bit, you'll see a vent to the right under the platform you are on with a healing item in it. There's a pile of rubbish on top of that vent and it leads to a secret room. Pass it by for now though. You'll find an ambush with a blaster cannon, and another arena fight with a blaster cannon after that. Past the second blaster cannon, stick to the ground. You'll notice the MC below you behind a breakable block, drop down and grab Cassus's Treason. Now backtrack to the vent and break the rubble, and drop down to the secret area.

Secret Room Despair - Head right for an ambush, there are two flame jets, just stay in the middle and use Nive's Rage. There's a ton of bees and a few regular enemies. After it's clear head right for the MC Thor's Arc Army++. Head right to the next area.

Ragnarok - Head right until you have to go down, then do so with a boss fight against the swordsman. This one is a bit of a pain because he will shoot bullets from positions where it's hard to get behind him and hit him. The best chance you have is when he moves to the edge of the screen, then charges at you and swings his sword. You want to try and jump over him and then stab him in the back. Once he's dead the stage is over.

Stage 10: Birth

Stage 10

Another fairly simple one with a mere 4 stages, but we will have to play it twice. I got the 10,000 enemies killed achievement in this stage. We have plenty to do, so if you don't get it here you'll get it eventually.

Skyscraper Barrage - You want to head up, you'll find a ton of BT and LC on the way. Try to stay on the right side. There's a blaster cannon on the way up. There's a moving platform to the left of it you can use to kill it. It will move by the cannon when it's preparing to fire. Then hang off the platform when it fires, and climb back up when the laser is gone to do it again until it's dead. Or just go past it. Either way, continue climbing up (the arrows that pop up will help you find the proper platform). Once you reach the top head to the next area.

Beneath the Full Moon - There are two different ways here, but they aren't as simple as a fork between two easy to reach exits. When you head right you'll come to a floating platform, you want to jump on it and follow the path it leads to. It will lead to more floating platforms and a bunch of enemies will spawn as you head right. Have body slam going 24/7 and watch out for blocks you need to break to keep going. If you don't fall off, you'll reach the upper exit to the next area.

Wrecked Labyrinth - Head right to the end of the platform you're on. You want to jump to the platform to the right, and then to the right wall. You'll see a breakable wall below you, get close to it (but not too close, or you'll fall) and use a charge attack to break it. Head right for the MC Ragna. Climb up the wall to the top and head right. Look for a floating platform and head up. You wand to head up and left, and eventually you'll find a stationary platform. Head right for an ambush. You'll have a ship and a bunch of fodder, it's an easy fight. Once it's done the stage is over.

Playthrough 2

Skyscraper Barrage > Beneath the Full Moon - Instead of taking the floating platforms, just head right and fall down and you'll have an ambush. You won't fight enemies, and instead what looks like a boss will appear. He will stomp and boulders will fall down, with a red outline where they land. Simply avoid them until he leaves. Once he leaves head right, and just keep falling down (few LCs on the way). You'll reach the exit.

Lonely Orchard - Head right until you find the swordsman. You'll have to fight him with other enemies around, and to the far right is a blaster cannon, so try to stay to the left. As for the swordsman, he seems to have way more life this time, but the process is the same. He does have a new attack, which is basically the same as those red canisters, you can hit him while he does this. Once he's dead head right and destroy the blaster cannon. Continue right to dodge some more fireballs. Once he leaves head right to what appears to be a dead-end, then climb the wall and then move across the ceiling. You'll see a floating platform, jump onto that and then head right. You'll reach an ambush, and it will have a bunch of fodder and 3 ships at once. When you've destroyed them all the stage will end.

Stage 11: A New World Created

Stage 11

Only 6 stages in this one, but we will need 2 playthroughs. Don't worry, 12 is a shit show, so the fun is about to end.

Lunar Eclipse - Head right until you have an ambush. The bird will drop fireballs on the arena as you fight. There's a ton of those red guys that are hard to kill, you can either wait them out or freeze them so you can deal with them much more easily. Continue right through a few LCs and you'll come to another ambush. The bird will drop fireballs and there are 3 fire jets. Once it leaves you can go right again. After a few more flame jets you'll find the next area.

Humanity's Descendants - Head right to find a laser reflector. Then continue right for an ambush. You'll have a ton of the purple dudes (body slam works as always). Once they're dead head right to a third ambush, DO NOT DESTROY THE BLOCK! You need to jump on it afterward. You'll have a bunch of the grey dudes. You'll also have a first : LCs will spawn during the fight and start shooting. Needless to say kill them as they spawn. Stay on the ground and kill the grey ones as they come to you, don't go jumping around trying to kill them or you might destroy the block. Once it's clear jump on the block BUT BE CAREFUL. Your second jump does damage, and that can break the block. I would do the second jump far away from the block and then move onto it, you can also grab onto the ceiling and drop onto it that way. Either way you want to jump to the platform above the block and head right to a room. Double jump up to a platform, and above that is the MC Ceno's Revival. Now there's 4 pits in this room you need to fall into the 3rd from the left (2nd from the right) you'll get the MC Cassus's Revolution when you do. If you go down the wrong one you can backtrack and try again. You'll drop into another ambush, kill the 4 LCs first and then slaughter the fodder. Continue right for a laser reflector, and past that is the next area. Ceno's Revival should be your 50th MC if you've found all the ones in the walkthrough so far, so you should get an achievement. I'm not sure if the MC each character starts with counts or not, so you might get this on the next one.

Ask Their Name Again - Head right until you see a floating platform going down, then drop down and head left. You'll reach an ambush with some of those grey guys, and LCs will spawn as you fight them. Head left until you see a floating platform and take it across the purple fire. Continue left a bit and then drop down to the bottom, and head right. You'll have an ambush, afterward continue right. When you hit a wall and have to go up, you should see an MC in the wall above and to the right. Break the wall to your right and then jump up and get the MC Lofas's Misery. Once you have that head up and go left, kill the LCs on the way. You'll have to go up and go right over some flame jets. Then you go up and go left, after you kill the canister walk left into the wall and break it, then drop down to get the MC Niltor's Symphony. Head back to where the wall was and head up, then right to the next area.

The Black Horse of War - Now to fight the horse. He starts with two attacks, he can kick you with his legs, and a cannon on his shoulder can shoot bullets at you. He doesn't seem to do any new attacks, when he gets to about 1/2 health he will drop a bunch of fodder. I found standing in between his legs and jumping while swinging right (toward the front of his body) was relatively safe and worked the best. Once he's dead the stage is done.

Playthrough 2

Lunar Eclipse - Head right to the ambush. Afterward, head right, cross a pit with the flame spout and then jump over 2 flame jets. You'll see a pile of rubble just past them, destroy it and drop down to a new area.

Breath - Head right, the first 3 pits have flame spouts. Continue right until the game tells you to go up. Then go left. Shortly after jumping over a few flame jets, you'll see an MC by a platform below an LC called Motaht's Mercy. Head up and then right. When you reach some platforms (you'll see those moving walls that hurt you), jump up them and head right. You'll probably have to stand on the platform on the right, and then jump onto the side of the platform above and to the left to get up. From there head left until you find some more platforms, use them to go up and then right to find the MC Thor's Arc++. Return to the platforms with the moving wall and then head right to the next area, but make sure to grab the MC right before the GO arrow, Falk's Delight.

Early Summer Garden - Head right, and eventually you'll reach an ambush. It has a ton of bees and an assortment of other fodder. Right after it is the next area.

The Black Horse of War

Before we head to Stage 12, make a slight detour to good old Stage 1. In the first area, head right until you see a sign, with some rubble in front of it. Destroy the rubble and drop down to a secret area. You need a high POW to destroy the rubble, so we couldn't do this previously. You should have more than enough POW by now.

Secret Room Heresy - Complete the arena fight and then head right for the MC Leviranal. You can die in the next area and then move on to stage 12.

Stage 12: The Halls of Hades

Stage 12

This stage is a fun one. As you can see from the map it has more stages than stage 8. There's not a lot of MCs to grab, but there's a total of 4 bosses here. You have to go to every area but one just to unlock the path to the final boss, and then you have to fight him, and obviously, you can't die during. The first area is probably the hardest of them all.

De Ludel Tactique! - You need to head right until you hit a wall, then just keep heading up/right to the next area. The problem is there's a ton of LCs and BTs on the way. On top of this, the sword dude will show up shortly before the first ambush. I mostly run through this area, and only stop to freeze and kill LCs. I would wait until I got to the ambush to fight the sword guy, since killing the other enemies while I fought him would provide some HP/MP items to help stay healthy. Head right to the second ambush, and then right after it to find the next area.

Premonition - Simply head right to the next area. As an aside, you'll be returned to this area after you beat a boss so you can go through the stages and fight another one.

Divine Door - There's an upper path to the final boss, but you need to kill the other bosses first, so take the lower path to the next area. Just a bunch of spiders on the way.

Duty - Head right. You'll run into 2 BTs and then a room with 6 LCs. Past that is an ambush, it's a bunch of purple guys you can easily just body slam through. Head right past a few flame spouts in pits to the next area.

Ancient Covenant - There's an upper and lower path here, stay on the ground and head down to the next area.

Memory Without Record - Stick to the ground and take the lower path again to the next area. On the way are a few BTs, and a ship after them.

What is the Enemy's Name - Head right. When you see some platforms, jump up them and jump onto the pipe. Follow the path right and go up when you can, and go left and then up the small passage. You'll find some LCs and BTs above you. Kill them and then jump up both platforms and then head right. Ignore the floating platforms and stay on the ground. When you reach a pit, jump to the right wall and enter the part where the wall appears to be sticking out a bit to find a secret room.

Secret Room From Bad to Worse - Head right to find an ambush and 3 flame jets. You'll have a ton of bees, and a bunch of those glowing guys that take a few hits to kill. Save all your MP, the next area is a boss. It's the horse guy, but he's got more health and damage. Once it's all clear, head right for the MC Kutoh's Dependence. Head right to the next area.

Ancestors and Descendants - Horse boss again. He has way more health and does a little more damage too. The main objective is the same though, smack him with your sword and stay on the opposite side of the cannon so the shots don't hit you. What I tried to do was jump and swing at the cannon a couple of times, then double jump to the other side. Once the cannon swung around to my side I'd do it again. He doesn't appear to have any new moves. Once it is dead head right to the next area.

With Evolution and Pride - Head right and after 2 LCs you'll find a blaster cannon, the fight is the same as always. Head right to an ambush, you'll have two blaster cannons. You should have enough POW to destroy them before they fire, so blitz the bottom one until it dies. Wait for the top one to fire and then destroy that next charge. Go right to the next area.

Changing Species - Simply head right to the next area. There are a few BTs on the way, but you can just go past them.

Static Species - Just go right to the next area.

Premonition > Divine Door > Duty > Ancient Covenant > Memory Without Record - Go right and you'll see a platform above you going up, take it and follow it to the upper path.

Verge of Extinction - Head right until you reach a room with LCs. Destroy them all and then jump on the ceiling in this room. You'll see some rubble in the middle of the ceiling, it's actually a hole you can climb up. Once you get to the top go left to the room with 2 ships. Jump onto the left wall and climb up and you'll see the MC Thor's Arc Army+. Now go all the way right to a room with 2 ships, after clearing it out jump on either wall and head up, then jump to get the MC Nive's Rage. Go back to the hole and go down. Head right through a bunch of LCs and a laser reflector to the next area.

Assembly - Simply head right to the next area.

Guardian - The bird boss again. He has way too much health to simply blitz him, so you'll have to play much more carefully. When he raises his head up into the air for a few moments, he's about to spew bullets. Head to the other side of the screen and dodge the bullets as they come. As for hitting him, you want to be far enough away you don't touch his body as you take damage. Once he gets to 2/3 health left, he will start summoning the explosions. Try to jump constantly so you don't have to worry too much about them. When it gets to about 1/2 it seems to start turning into a fireball and then bouncing around the map. It bounces up and down first, then left and right next. Once he's dead, go right to the next area.

Promise - Head right to the next area.

Changing Species > Static Species > Premonition > Divine Door > Duty > Ancient Covenant - Head right and when you see a platform jump on it and the one above it and head right to take the upper path to the next area.

Humans - Head right to find a laser reflector, and past that you'll have an ambush where you have to dodge boulders. Afterward, head right to another ambush with a bunch of different fodder. Head right to the next area once it's clear.

And Spirits - Head right and when you see a platform, jump onto it and take it up and right to the upper path's next area.

Fighting Together - The first boss of the game again. This time you don't have the platforms above to stand on when he charges. This means that you need to time your double jumps to get over his charges. The good news is his health is much lower than the other two bosses. Use the attack boost MC and go to town. You might have to heal once depending on what level you are, but not more than that. Once he's dead head right to the next area.

Alliance - Head right for an ambush with a blaster cannon. Once it's down head right for another ambush with a blaster cannon. There are some walls blocking the bottom part of the area, but you should be able to blow up the blaster cannon before you need to dodge. When it's destroyed head right to the next area.

Promise > Changing Species > Static Species > Premonition > Divine Door - Head right and when you see a platform jump on it and head up and right to the upper path exit.

Grand Stairs - Head right. You'll come across some LCs, and then an ambush with fodder after that. Head right, and when you see some BTs/LCs you'll need to head up, and then left. You'll find a couple of rooms with a ton of LCs and BTs, and then 2 ships. The next room has a ton of BTs, destroy them and the canister and then head up and right. You'll reach an ambush with a laser reflector and 2 BTs. There will also be a bunch of the red guys near the end of the fight, I'd freeze them to kill them easily or you might get overwhelmed. Head to some more LCs, and after that head right to the next area.

The Creator - Time for the final boss of this exhausting stage. The good news is he isn't too hard and he summons fodder that you can get HP/MP items off of, so that helps quite a bit since you're no doubt fretting about dying after spending so much time on this stage. The fight starts with a lengthy cutscene, when you gain control the boss will summon a bunch of orbs. These can be destroyed and they damage the boss, but they explode and can damage you if the explosion hits you. Which means not only do you need to make sure they don't hit you, but you need to make sure that when you're destroying them you aren't TOO close or the explosion will damage you. After a bit the boss will start to charge energy (he'll have a blue aura), and then he'll throw the remaining orbs into the sky and then at the ground to try and hit you. If you destroy most of them it's fairly easy to dodge them, otherwise you'll probably get hit. After that the boss will summon some fodder, make sure to kill them all for a chance at HP/MP items. After that the blue aura will disappear and the boss will summon more orbs. The only new attack I saw it use was after it had lost 2/3 of its health. It will use the same attack the canisters do, just run back and forth across the arena to dodge the shots. As for actually hitting the boss, when the orbs are up just aim for the orbs, ignore the actual boss. When he has the aura going, you can attack the boss itself. In between attacks you can keep jumping and slashing at him until he does something. It seemed like the final blow has to come from orbs, once he got down to a few hits left his health bar wouldn't move when I hit him, he only died when he summoned some orbs and I destroyed some of those.

Once you win that's the end of stage 12, and you'll get an achievement.

Now we have the multiplayer to do and the level achievement. For the leveling achievement, you need the AVERAGE of every character to be 50. That means everyone doesn't need to be 50, just that the combined level of all 4 characters is 200 or more (200 divided by 4 is 50). So something like 60/50/50/40 would work. Seyfert should be 50 or close to it, so boosting the other ones is what we want. For this, you want to head to level 9 and change the difficulty to insane. There are 6 of those big blaster cannons in the 3rd area (Moon Drivers). These give tons of experience. There are two ways to do this depending on whether you have a 2nd controller or not. Having a second controller is much, much faster.

If you have a second controller - Play up to the Run! Ha Ha Ha! area of Stage 2 and get the Nive's Anger MC with each character. Now get to the blast cannons in stage 9 with Seyfert. Once you reach them press start on the second controller and pick one of the other characters. Get close enough to the cannon that body slam will damage it, and smack it until you need to move to avoid the blast, then continue until it dies. You get experience for killing it AND experience for hitting it. You want to make sure you keep the POW of the other 3 characters at zero so they can get as much experience as possible from hitting it before it dies.

For the first two cannons, you can put Seyfert on the top platform so the cannon won't hit him and have the other character hit the cannon and use the higher platform to escape the blast. The next encounter has two cannons. What I usually do is put the 2nd controller on the middle platform and kill the top cannon with Seyfert, then have the 2nd controller beat up the bottom cannon while using the top platform to avoid the blasts. This can be a bit difficult early on because you'll need two rounds of attacks with Seyfert to kill the blaster cannon until you level his POW up more. The 2nd controller usually dies and then I revive it once the top cannon is gone. For the last pair, the only way to avoid the blasts is to sit in the middle area and crouch. Since that's hard to do on both controllers with two hands, I usually let the 2nd controller die and kill them with Seyfert. If you want, you can rubber band cn_LT down on Seyfert so you can destroy both cannons with the 2nd controller (cn_LT didn't work on my second controller so I didn't try this). Then I go to the next area and let the BT near the start kill me, and do it all over again.

If you don't have a second controller - You can't just start on stage 9 with each character (not that they'd survive) you have to play through to stage 9 with each character so you can grind the blaster cannons that way. This is the worse option for two reasons. It takes longer, and you can't keep your POW at 0 to get more experience from blaster cannons, because you wouldn't even be able to make it to the blaster cannons without dying.

Needless to say, I would suggest using a second controller, it was much faster. Seyfert was 74 when I got the achievement, and the other 3 were in the low 40s (43, 42, 41).

As for the multiplayer, you can't take other controllers into multiplayer, so if you don't have 4 controllers, you'll need a boosting session with 3 others. For the MP achievements you need to link MCs (or whatever you want to call it) with the other players in the game. You need to link 10 of the 2 player MCs, 10 of the 3 player MCs, and 10 of the 4 player MCs. You can't do a 2P link for a 4P MC and get credit, it has to be a 2P MC. If you look at the squares under the MCs in the selection menu, you'll see white squares that denote what type of MC it is. 2 squares means it counts for as a 2P MC, 3 squares is a 3P MC, and 4 squares is a 4P MC. What I did was start with the top MC (the Thor's Arc line of MCs) and equip the 3 below it. Then I'd go into stage 1 and use all 4 of them, then quit the stage and equip the next 4 below those, then use those and quit out, and equip the last 2 and use those. They don't have to hit any enemies. To link them you need to have one person hold cn_B, and then they will have a bubble appear around them. Other players can hold cn_B to join in, and they'll have a bubble appear around them as well. Once everyone is holding cn_B, the original person let's go of cn_B and the MC link occurs. The person who initiates it (or holds cn_B first) is the only one who will get credit for it, so if you're doing it with human players, you'll need to do each type of MC 40 times, 10 for each player. If you happen to have 4 controllers, you only need to do it 10 times, of course. Note that the other controllers do not need the MC to link with Seyfert. Not sure if it works this way with other human players online, but I would assume so.

The last MP achievement is for reviving 10 allies who go down. When they lose all their health chains will wrap around them and you have 10 seconds to save them. Attack the chains to break them. If you go for the level achievement with a second controller you'll probably get this along the way, if not you can have someone stand in the shooting range of a BT and keep reviving them as they get wrapped up in chains.

This is a list of all the MCs in the game. There are a total of 60, and you only need 50 for the achievement, so its not a big deal if you miss a few. This list is based on the in-game list (right to left top to bottom) instead of by stage. So it should easier to find what you're missing. Note that even after you get an MC, it will still appear when you replay that stage. If you go past the area an MC is in, you will have to replay the stage. However, none of the MCs are permanently missable, you'll just have to replay the stage to try and get them again.
