Welcome to the Walkthrough.
I’m covering the tutorial in full as some parts are a little tricky to get an understanding of the basic controls. It’s pretty easy to get lost as the game is pretty complex. It does - however - do a reasonable job of hand-holding so feel free to skip this section in the walkthrough and refer back if needed.
Create a Profile - name, and colour doesn’t matter - along with a company name. Change settings to 90 mins finance cycle duration, traffic violations off, Hydraulic controls to arcade. Save the profile, start the game. It also makes sense to use the achievement tracker on your profile. To do this press Head over to achievements and turn achievement tracker on at the bottom.
Continue with the conversations and you’ll be put into a very simple tutorial. Drive to the designated area where you’ll come to another conversation.
Once done, set a waypoint to your home and get driving. Turn the lights on and follow the markers that are set down for you.
You’ll arrive at your home base. It’ll automatically go to the next day and another tutorial. Drive into the marked area to pick up the pallets. Switch to vehicle mode using . Press to access construction view and then use / to choose the pallet of wood, then press to pick it up. Go back to the construction view and pick the truck. Use both analogue sticks to pick up the pallet and put it on your truck. You’ll need to unfold your crane first. Use to change between the camera and secondary controls if needed. Alternatively, use and change the camera to hook (seemed to be the easiest way of seeing what you’re actually doing). Once you’ve figured out the controls highlight the circle above the pallet and pick it up with . Bring it back to your lorry and repeat it on the last pallet of wood. Go back to your lorry, reset your crane arm with and switch vehicle mode so you can drive once again. Drive back over to the marked area to continue the tutorial. From now on I’ll be using bullet points and less detailed instructions as things should be a little more straight forward:
- Put one pallet down in the marked area.
- Move the two planks on the roof.
- Put the pallet that’s on the truck on the roof.
- Reset the truck.
- Open company menu.
- Once you’ve gone through a few of the menus, back out.
- Switch vehicle mode.
- Park truck under the designated area.
You’ll now go through a quick cut-scene. You’ll be asked to check your profile - have a quick look through and then back out once more. Open the map and click on the dealership. To note, you don’t have to actually drive there, just click enter. Buy the Cat 430F2 Backhoe and back out. Drive back home and set a waypoint if you need to. Once back in base, put the digger on the checkmark.
Stabilize the digger by using .
so you have extra controls.
Now, it’ll take a little time to get used to but you need to clear out the orange segment of soil. Feel free to dump the soil anywhere. Keep an eye on the icons so you get a feel for what each stick does. You don’t have to go too deep, just enough to take the topsoil off.
- Hook out the pipe.
- Put the new pipe back in.
- Reset the digger and switch vehicle mode.
- Drive the digger to the designated area.
This is where it starts to get a little tricky if you're not careful. Use the small digger and scoop the soil back onto the pipes. This can take a little while if you’re not familiar with the controls. Just stick with it.
- Once completed, move the digger out of the way.
- Skip through the two sets of dialogue.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and cycle through. Park the lorry in the designated area.
- Drive the Backhoe to the designated area.
Again, another tricky task. Pick up the piles of soil and dump them in the lorry with the front loader. You’ll get better at these tasks with experience.
- Follow the waypoints and drive the lorry to the gravel pit.
- Back up into the marked area.
- Hold the to empty your load, again, once done, hold .
- Head over to the marked bay and reverse in.
- Fill the lorry with
- Head back home and park up on the waypoint.
- Start at the back of the box, and pull back on the stick about 45 degrees and drive forward spreading it evenly.
- Go to the map and select the vehicle dealer and ‘Enter’
- Rent the Written H11I Compactor, once done you’ll unlock your very first achievement-
- Select the compactor and Quick Location to your home base.
- Toggle the compacting option.
We finally now have a much easier task, simply roll over the gravel with your compactor - it changes colour once rolled over. Toggle the compaction option off and leave the area and come to a halt. Another lot of dialogue will appear. Return the vehicle back to the dealership using . Move the lorry to the marked section. Then, you'll have more dialogue to skip. Use the forklift after following the on-screen instructions. Remember you can change your view by pressing left, some are easier this way, some are much harder.
Move both pallets to the designated area. Select the pallet using the construction menu and press ‘Store’. Do this with the remaining two pallets - cycle / and return the forklift. Get in the lorry and go to the merchant’s yard by following the waypoints. Enter the building suppliers menu, then exit, and another dialogue will pop up. Finally, we’ve finished the tutorial.
From now on, we want to focus our attention on the campaign jobs as they’re a much meatier reward and advance us in the ’Story’. You can take these in any order you wish. I’ll be hand-holding for a few missions so you can understand the basics then just guiding you which missions to select.
Road Construction: Repair Potholes
Once the job has been accepted grab the lorry and head to the job site (Green hexagon on the map). About this time you should unlock:
Continue through the conversation, then head to the Gravel Pit and fill up the lorry with Hot Asphalt. Drive back to the job site and a small cutscene will start. Go to the vehicle dealer and enter. Press to open filter and check the box ‘Job’. Back out and pick any of the rollers, for the moment we’re just going to be renting vehicles. Click yes for delivery (always do as it will save lots of time). Switch to the roller and drive it into the marked bay. Switch to compacting mode and run over all of the potholes. Return the roller. Move the lorry out of the way.
Select a new job under campaigns called ‘Road Construction: Repair a collapsed bridge’ and accept the job.
Construction: Repair a collapsed bridge
Drive your lorry to the Green hexagon on the map. Switch vehicle mode and grab the four bits of road and put them in the orange section with the crane. Remember you can switch view to make it easier. Grab the four bits of pipe and once again, move to the designated area on the left. Put the four new bits of pipe back in place. About now you should unlock:
Go through another conversation, reset the truck and change vehicle mode, then drive to the gravel pit. Fill your lorry with soil in the bay marked soil. Head back to the broken road and tip all the soil in. Head back to get another load of soil and repeat. Again, head back to the broken road and tip all the soil in. Grab a full truck of gravel and go back to the road. Tip the load in by starting on one end and dumping it evenly over the soil. Move the lorry out the way - the quickest way is to just press reset. Rent any compacter vehicle, deliver to the worksite, and drive over the gravel. (Remember to toggle on compacting).
Clear the area, then return the compactor. Rent an asphalt paver and get it delivered. Line up the paver on the waypoint. Grab the truck and head to the gravel pit. Fill up with hot asphalt and return to job site. Fill up the asphalt paver with asphalt (You have to back up pretty close to dump). Take control of the paver, extend extensions, and toggle paving. Drive forward holding both triggers. Return the Paver.
Select the vehicle dealer from the map. Once again open the filter and select job, back out and pick rent any roller (yes the jobs says compactor, it’s an error) and get it delivered to site. Enable compacting and drive over the asphalt. Leave the area and another conversation will start.
By now you should be on level 5, press go you your profile > Skills and spend 4 points on transport and confirm - it allows you to skip certain parts of jobs to make things a bit quicker. It also allows you to get items delivered to job site which you always want to do going forward. You’ll also collect the following achievement -
Activate all skills in one branch.
You may also get the 20km achievement on the last job or at least be very close.
Next, you want to sink the remaining point you have left into the Money/XP skill tree. Every time you level up, keep adding points to it.
From here on in, I won’t be hand holding but rather telling you the jobs to go for along with a few pointers, we'll start to really make some headway. We’re going to be skipping a lot of jobs to make our lives easier.
Start campaign - Road Construction: Reinforce A Dirt Road
Skip job 1, 2, and 3.
Finish job number 4 properly.
For the eagle-eyed of you, you still get credit for completing the jobs we do ourselves.
Start campaign - Lansdcaping: Building a Terrace
Skip 1, 2 and 3.
Start campaign - Lansdcaping: Pond with a bridge
Skip 1, 2, 3, then do 4 normally.

Complete 6 normally
Skip 7 and do 8 normally
Upon completion of the job, you’ll unlock -
Now with a few jobs done and a little cash in the bank, we can knock out a few quick achievements. Pick any vehicle press and pick the home base, and pick the home base - repeat 25 times for the following:
And another 25 times for:
And another 50 times for:
Once done, we’ll fire up another quick one. Press and store any vehicle in the hall using and confirm yes.
Press , motor pool and retrieve your vehicle.
Start campaign - House Construction: Floor Construction
Do job 1. Quick tip here; go to building supplies and auto deliver all supplies needed to complete the job. Rent the crane then get it delivered.
Do job 3, rent a concrete mixer, and skip job 4.
Return the concrete truck.
Start campaign - House Construction: Roofing
Rent a crane and skip job 1.
Do job 2 - again, use auto-deliver to send all materials to your site.
You should have unlocked:
Do jobs 3 and 4 normally and you guessed it, get the roof tiles auto-delivered.
Now to unlock the two frozen out jobs on the campaign list. Drive to Neustein Industrial area and halfway there you’ll notice it's blocked off. On the map icon it nows says we need to buy two vehicles - buy the mobile crane (Liebherr LTM) and any roller. We now have access to the two jobs.
Start campaign - Clear the road to Neustein Industrial Area
Use your new crane to move the 4 rocks. Then, store in the vehicle hall to save on maintenance costs. Rent or buy (if you can afford it) a wheel leader and use it to put the soil into your lorry. Use fast travel for the lorry back and forth to the gravel pit to sell the soil - use the construction mode to see which bits still need doing.
Skip job 3.
Once again get on your wheel leader and use it to put the soil into your lorry. Use fast travel for the lorry back and forth to the gravel pit to sell the soil. It’ll take a while but net you a huge amount of XP and cash.
Rent any tractor, remember to use the job filter. Skip the job. Return the tractor. Max out your Money and XP Skill tree to earn a bit extra from each job up to a maximum of 25%. From now on, once your Money/XP skill branch is full, work on the earthmoving skills, it'll help later on.
Pick the Expansion into the Neustein Industrial Area campaign mission. Accept the job and drive to the site, sign the contract. This is a *Missable achievement* do not skip! Once signed you’ll unlock:
Now we can start to earn some real money.
Start campaign - Industrial Construction: Warehouse Foundation Construction
Skip 1, Do 2 (Rent any soil compactor) and 3, skip 4. Drive to find the steelworks - they are right next to the harbour at the top of the map.
From now on hopefully, you’ll have learnt a few tips and tricks to make your life easier. The rest of the walkthrough will tell you what missions and when to skip and which ones to do.
Start campaign -Industrial Construction: Warehouse Construction
Skip 1, do 2, skip 3, and do 4.
Start campaign - Industrial Construction: Silo Construction
Skip 1, if you haven’t bought one yet, buy a good excavator. We’ll be doing excavator missions to keep our money flowing while skipping as many missions as possible. They’re also one of the least time consuming and easiest. Do number 2, skip 3 and 4.
Start campaign - Modern Parking Lot: Prepare the job site
Skip all 3.
Start campaign - Modern Parking Lot: Prepare the job site
Do 1, skip 2 and 3.
Start campaign - Modern Parking Lot: Asphalt Paving
Skip 1, 2, 3 and do 4.
Start campaign - Advanced House Construction: Basement Construction
Do 1, skip 2-4.
Start campaign - Advanced House Construction: Floor Construction
Skip 1-4, do the 1st part of 5 (buy building supplies and get them delivered). Skip the rest of this mission and skip 6.
If you’ve followed the guide then you should have unlocked this halfway through the last mission:
Start campaign - Advanced House Construction: Roofing
Do 1, skip 2 and 3.
Start campaign - Road Construction: Road Milling and Excavation
Rent any cold planer (under the milling category) and a Man TGS with Meiller P330 and skip Job 1. Rememberer to return both once skipped, skip 2 and 3.
Start campaign - Road Construction: Canal Work
Do 1, skip 2 and 3
Start campaign - Road Construction: Paving Roads with Asphalt
Skip both jobs.
Time to go to the last island - head toward the bridge on your map. Once you hit the bollards you’ll see what requirements you have left. You might need to buy an extra vehicle or two to unlock the mission. You need to own 8 in total. I would suggest the cheaper the better.
Start campaign - Bridge to Neustein: Bridge Pillar Construction
Buy Libherr LB 28 Rotary Drill (under the Excavator category).
Skip 1 and 2, do 3, skip the rest.
Start campaign - Bridge to Neustein: Bridge Construction East
Buy Wbuilder HS7H (under the Cargo transport section) Skip the lot.
Start campaign - Bridge to Neustein: Bridge Construction West
Skip the lot.
Start campaign - Expansion into Neustein
Accept the job and drive to the site, sign the contract *Missable achievement* do not skip!
We're now going to find all locations. There are 14 locations to find which I've added into the three images below. To find the location, just drive into a plot. Once it's recognized there will be a short cutscene.
Buy any two vehicles to unlock:
Now the real big grind starts.
Next, we're going to level up to 20 and unlock all skills. Now you'll see why we wanted to get full skills in the earthmoving category. Quickest way I've found to do this is picking the job - Landscaping: Swimming Pool. Just complete the first excavating job (there are two large holes you need to dig. Make sure you're using the best excavator possible (either Liebherr R 956 or Cat 349F). Once done you'll earn 630,000 credits each time. You can abort the whole job once you've completed the section and still earn your extra 25% bonus. Keep replaying the job through the replay option under contracts. It'll take anywhere between 1-2 hours depending on how quick you are and what level you started on - it's boring but by far the quickest way of leveling up and earning some good cash. Once done you'll unlock:
After this go to profile > skills > and max out all your skills to unlock:
Next, we're going to deliver 100, 200, and 500 objects. You've more than likely delivered some on your way to now. Skip the drive to any of the building materials suppliers so you've spawned right outside. The quickest job to boost is House Construction: Floor Construction. This can be found under the replay section. Accept the job, hold to enter the building materials supplier, press to filter the 3 materials you need, and deliver all 6 materials to the construction site using auto-deliver. Once done, back out, press straight away and you'll skip the cutscene. Abort job and rinse and repeat. As you have your achievement tracker up you'll be able to monitor your progress. It's about an hour to do 500.
We're now going to do 50 and 150 jobs. Again, more endless grinding. Jobs > Contracts. What you want to look out for are jobs with only 1 job to do. There are two numbers next to the clipboard. Usually, they consist of delivering containers or statues. Accept these jobs and skip the current stage. Sometimes there won't be a job with just one requirement but maybe two. More jobs do re-appear once you've completed another job. Just make sure if you do take a job with more than one section, you skip each section rather than aborting jobs. The idea here is to skip jobs as fast as you can - hence jobs with 1 section are easiest. Once done you'll unlock -
Next we're going to knock out 6 acheievements. Start > Jobs > Tutorials and pick 349F Hydraulic Excavator. Accept the job.
Once the tutorial has started, drive into the box ahead of you using both and together. Change the camera to Driver's Seat by pressing . You've got to do 3 full bucket loads and dump them in the cone area. Move the 3 pipes back in place - to do this, use the teeth on the bucket and hover it just above the rings. The last one is a little more difficult to reach so just move your excavator a little more forward for extra reach. Reset the vehicle once done as it's quicker than reversing out.
Rise and repeat 100 times.
It takes 1:45 to do one run so that'll be just under 3 hours in total.
*Pro Tips to make it even quicker*
Undo the crane arm while your driving to the section. Do the rest as normal. When you get to the crane part, grab the one to the furthest left and knock the other two down into the hole using the pipe. Just fill the one remaining gap. With the extra tips, you can knock off another 30 seconds per run making it just over 2 hours in total for this section of achievements. You'll unlock on your way:
Complete 50 digging jobs.
Complete 100 digging jobs.
Next, we're going to do the roadwork jobs. Thankfully, these ones are much quicker.
Start > Jobs > Tutorials and pick any of the 3 Rollers (BW 141 AD-5 Tandem Roller, HD+ 90L VO Vibrating Roller, or CB44B Vibrating Roller. Accept the job.
Once the tutorial has started, drive into the box ahead of you and stop. Press and toggle the compacting option. Now, drive straight up in a line. Once you've finished that line, come back for another one, that counts as one job. It’ll take just over 33 minutes to get the 3 achievements.
Next, we're going to do the concrete job. For this, Start > Jobs > Tutorials > TGS with Liebherr HTM 904, accept job. What you want to do here is to park on the left-hand side of your 1st section. (it says to reverse but ignore that). Start pouring in concrete. Once full, reverse to the left so your back truck is almost at the fence so you're out of the red area. Drive over the next section and begin pouring it all over. This will complete the tutorial. It'll take around 3 hours to get all three concrete achievements so rinse and repeat 100 times to unlock:
The last of the grinding achievements and the longest one, unfortunately. Start > Jobs > Tutorials and pick any of the 3 compactors (BW 213 DH-5 Compactor, CS56B Compactor, or H11L Compactor. Accept the job.
Once the tutorial has started, drive into the box ahead of you and stop. Press and toggle the compacting option. You've got to do 3 and a half lines to complete the job.
Rise and repeat 100 times.
It takes 2:36 to do one run so that'll be just over 4 hours 20 minutes. On your way, you'll earn -
Complete 50 flattening jobs.
Hang on tight, we're nearly there!
Pretty straight forward achievements next. The reason why we've waited till now to buy vehicles is that you get cash rewards once you've completed set numbers of jobs so there's absolutely no reason why you wouldn't have enough cash now. We also didn't want to run out of money wasted on maintenance fees. Head to the vehicle dealer and buy any 40 vehicles. Again, your achievement tracker will let you know how close you are. There's a credit sign on vehicles you already own. Once done you'll unlock the following:
Next up, we're going to do the medals. Now you will more than likely have seen some of these on your travels. They're a bit like Easter eggs. To find them you activate your construction menu . They'll show up in red. There's 120 dotted around the map. You only need to collect 100. Now there's not too much I can do to give you help here - they're easy enough find. You can normally find them on top of buildings, in farms, on the edge of the map, etc. They are viewable from quite a distance. To activate them, use your bumpers and press . I have noticed sometimes it doesn't register so you'll have to select the medal again and confirm again. The best tip I can give you is to buy the car WBuilder Denada SUV (quickest car in the game) and drive 20-30 meters and activate construction mode and look around, high and low. Rinse and repeat for the whole map working section by section. I managed to find 100 when there was still a decent portion of the map I hadn't checked. It'll just take one hour to find them assuming you check diligently. On your way, you'll earn the following 3 achievements:
Now it's possible you've got your 1000G.
If not that means there's one more achievement left which is to drive 100KM.
For this, pick the WBuilder Denada SUV, go to Neustein and constantly drive the highway (the big road that surrounds the town). Keep going until you have unlocked your last achievement:
Congratulations on your hard work. Pat yourself on the back and don't forget to thank the author.
