Streets of Rage 4

Image 1

Welcome to the Walkthrough

Streets of Rage 4 is developed by DotEmu, Guard Crush Games, Sega, and Lizardcube. It released on April 30th, 2020 for the Microsoft Xbox One, Sony PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. It's also the first new instalment in the series since Streets of Rage 3 released in 1994. The game takes place around 10 years after the events of Streets of Rage 3.

Ten years have passed since the fall of Mr. X and his Syndicate. The city has been at peace... until now. A new crime empire has arisen, corrupting everything good in the city. It is rumoured to be led by Mr. X's own children: the Y Twins.

Former detectives Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding join forces with their old friend's daughter, Cherry Hunter, along with Floyd Iraia, an apprentice of the brilliant Dr. Zan.

Together these four vigilantes stand against the Y Syndicate on the... Streets of Rage.

During the walkthrough, we’re going to cover the following -

  • Controls
  • Useable characters
  • Basic Enemy strategies
  • Boss Strategies
  • Story Walkthrough
  • S Rank and Arcade on Hard
  • Mop Up

You may be aware there are a few achievements for completing arcade on hard with one credit and getting all S Ranks on hard. These are not as difficult as they seem with a few tips and tricks. There isn't a huge gap in difficulty between easy and hard either. We'll have to complete the game 8 times for completing the game with various characters. This is a good chance to learn combos, moves, and enemy tendencies.

Basic Enemy Strategies

I have detailed the best strategies to my knowledge for each enemy. These strategies are the same for all difficulties whether it be Easy or Mania difficulty. Their only difference - Amount of health, number of enemies, and the aggression.

  • At times you'll be overwhelmed with the numbers on-screen but your best bet is to grab someone and throw them to create a clear path. It's incredibly effective as you damage the one you throw and damage the ones you knocked down. If that's not possible, get out of there with a jumping kick. When you do throw someone, you're invincible for a second buying you some valuable time.
  • Throughout the game, you’re always going to try and keep all year enemies to one side of you rather than enemies all around you. To be sure this happens, make sure your screen has been cleared before moving to your right. Don't try to rush your areas.
  • You never want to be in a position where you’re surrounded. On Easy difficulty use your special. On all other difficulties, it’s probably best to not bother as it'll drain your health very quickly before you can restore it.
  • Whenever you find weapons, use them. They'll keep your enemies at bay and are a great way to reduce their health.
  • Best combo strategy > cn_Xcn_X Pause cn_Xcn_X Pause cn_Xcn_Xcn_Xcn_Xcn_X
  • By far the best tip. Coming at enemies horizontally is far deadlier than vertically. You can get out of situations much quicker moving up/down rather than right/left due to the hitbox. You can also grab enemies by moving up/down directly upon them. Some enemies are certain to hit you unless you move quickly, keep an eye on the deadliest of enemies on the screen so you can predict their next move.

Galsia Thug wearing denim

Image 1

The easiest enemy in the game. Pretty straight forward, a short combo will usually dispatch them. They’re more of a distraction when much harder enemies are on-screen. They’re also a great combo builder.

Knife / Bottle Galsia Thug wearing denim

Image 1

Can be a bit of a pain, they tend to catch you out while you're dealing with someone else. They usually run at you diagonally or straight on. A well-timed punch will stop them but by far the best thing to do is to jump and kick in their direction. It’ll make them drop their weapon so you can easily dispatch them.

Signal Thug with a mohawk, wearing yellow/green or purple

Image 1

These enemies come in a few different colours, each one has more health but the strategy is the same. There are only two attacks that cause some concern, the slide and the throw. The slide is blockable by a jump kick. Signal will also flash red just before a throw - so get ready. Once again, the best defense is a jump kick.

Donovan Thug wearing sunglasses

Image 1

These enemies have a slightly longer reach than Galsia but they're still reasonably easy. You can't jump at them or they'll uppercut you. Try to go at angles towards them to get in close and unleash a combo.

Dylan (Grey/Green and Yellow)

Image 1

The grey/green Dylans are no problem, their only real attack is a headbutt which takes them quite a while to throw. The yellow ones are a little trickier, they will jump kick you. They crouch just before they launch, when this happens, move up/down on your screen to avoid and quickly dispatch them. They have very little health.

Koobo

Image 1

There's only 4 of these throughout the game. The 1st and 2nd can spawn pipes - usually standing very close to them and mashing combos is enough. When he jumps in the air, be prepared to jump yourself. They'll knock you to the ground if your still there. Time your jump well and this mini-boss is easy. The 3rd (Level 10) and 4th (Level 12) ones are much more difficult. The 3rd one has a sledgehammer and the 4th has a mace. Use the wrecking ball to help on level 10. On level 12 make sure you knock out the mace as quickly as you can and use it yourself - it'll inflict massive damage. Again, as above, time your jumps and these guys will be dealt with swiftly.

Ferroccio (Blue, Yellow and Black police officers)

Image 1

Another basic enemy, there's nothing to worry about here for the blue and yellow ones. Occasionally the yellows flash red and grab you, it does no damage but can hold you up. The black-clothed Ferroccio are a real pain. They all start off with tasers and their reach is incredible. Your best option here is the jump kick them, take their taser, and either throw it away or use it on them.

Murphy (Riot cop)

Image 1

Reasonably easy once you know how to handle them. They have a shield that will survive a basic combo. The best strategy here is to unleash 2-3 punches and back off, you can either move up/down. Once he's used his baton go back for a full combo to break the shield. Once their shield is gone they're the easiest enemy in the game by far. Just make sure you finish them off before their shield respawns. Their shield can only survive two hits with a taser too so if you get one of these, make sure you put it to good use.

Big Ben (Stocky baseball guy)

Image 1

There are two types, a white shirt, and a green shirt. The white shirt has two attacks, fire breathing, and a roll. The fire can't be countered but you can move vertically to move out of the way. Keep an eye on him at all times as he is deceptively quick. When he's finished, grab him, punch him a few times, then a throw - the throw is super high damage. The rolls need the be jump kicked. The grey shirt doesn't fire breath but will launch himself at you. The only defense is a jumping kick.

Honey (Biker woman)

Image 1

A real pain, if you know the best method and with a bit of practice, she becomes much more tolerable. Wait for her to lean back, she'll launch headbutt. Either jump kick to avoid or move up/down the screen. When they've finished that's your opportunity to strike. When she flashes red, jump kick her otherwise she'll powerbomb you.

Victoria

Image 1

A relatively easy enemy once you know the tricks. She throws projectiles from afar. Keep here at punching distance. Try not to grab her when she has anything in her hands as she'll chuck it in the air and get you. Unleash combos when your close but always be on the lookout for her launching the beakers. Jump away if needed, she'll also help you sometimes as her beakers also affect other enemies.

Garnet

Image 1

These have two primary attacks, a slap which doesn't cause much damage - you can stop this with just a few quick punches. She also has the jumping kick which can be very annoying, she can also jump diagonally which means you can't move up/down. Move horizontally away from here when she does this. They don't have much life so decent combo will be enough to sort her out.

Goro

Image 1

A very simple enemy and there's only a few in the game. For these guys, you want to come into diagonally to grab them, give them a very quick throw or they'll break out. Rinse and repeat. Don't throw any punches or they'll send you flying.

Raven

Image 1

The best strategy against Ravens is to dodge their flying knees by moving at an angle and getting in close. If you manage to hit them before they block, then combo away. If they’re blocking, stop the combo and move in for a grab attack.

Assassin Agent

Image 1

Rush in close from above or below, and give them a good pummeling. They're only dangerous with other enemies onscreen, as you won’t be able to dodge their shots when you’re busy with other enemies.

Shadow (Ninjas)

Image 1

These guys only show up on level 12 and they're incredibly easy to beat. They throw shurikens which don't take much damage but they are quite quick. Try to predict where their next move is and take them out with a simple combo.

Image 1

Boss Strategies

Pretty much every boss has exactly the same process for beating them.

  • Be careful when they get up after you've downed them, they'll launch an unblockable attack, back off for a few seconds and continue.
  • Every boss can also get held up by the combo cn_Xcn_X Pause cn_Xcn_X Pause cn_Xcn_Xcn_Xcn_Xcn_X it's the best combo you can do in terms of damage so use it as often as you can!
  • Most bosses will go into rage mode once half their life has been taken out. This means their attacks are sustained for longer. For example, the commissioner only flys across the screen once when he has above 2/3rds of his health left but when he has less than 1/3rd left he'll do it three times. Other bosses have different attacks once they reach half health, these will be outlined below.
  • All bosses flash white before they do a move that's unblockable, move out of the way of these.
  • All the bosses are very easy in co-op as they can be double-teamed if you juggle the bosses, half their health can be taken out, this will help with some of the more difficult achievements.
  • You'll get some decent practice at the bosses during your easy playthroughs. They react exactly the same for easy as they do on hard, they just cause a little more damage and take a little longer to kill.

Diva - Level 1 Boss: The Streets

Image 1

Diva has 3 main attacks, her animations give you a clue -

  • Snake attack (Snake attacks you, move up/down to avoid).
  • Small electric stomp (Jump out the way of this).

This only happens when she has half her health left.

  • Large electric stomp (Move to any corner of the screen to avoid)

She also has some goons to come and help. Try to tackle these where you can. Your best option here is to grab and throw them, you'll more than likely hit Diva a few times too!

Commissioner - Level 2 Boss: Police Precinct

Image 1

The commissioner has 3 attacks

  • Small uppercut (Can stop him in his tracks by doing a simple combo).
  • Beat down (Unblockable so get the hell out of the way, he will flash before he does this).
  • Superman move (He'll dash from one side of the screen to the other, depending on the health he might do it once, twice or three times, just move up/down, not blockable).

Try to get punches on him while he's moving around, you'll catch him frequently and be able to get a decent combo on him.

Nora - Level 3 Boss : Cargo Ship

Image 1

Nora has 2 attacks, she's also one of the easiest bosses.

  • Whip (This attacks you, doesn't take too much damage but allows her time to whip some Galsia's, move up/down to avoid).
  • Whip Galsia's (This attack will turn the normal Galsia's up to '11'. They become much stronger).

Take out the Galsia's before she has a chance to whip them, she doesn't take too long to beat.

Estel - Level 4 Boss: Old Peir

Image 1

She has 4 attacks.

  • Downwards punch (Move up/down to avoid and follow up with a combo).
  • Mid-air roll (Don't jump at her or she'll always use this move).
  • Kick (Move up/down to avoid and follow up with a combo).
  • Missiles (Keep an eye out on the floor for the landing). Just jump out of the way.

Just like the commissioner, you'll be able to get punches on her as she moves around, combo her when you get a chance.

Barbon - Level 5 Boss: Underground

Image 1

Barbon has 1 attack.

  • Roundhouse kick, he will spin around a few times, up, down and side to side. (As soon as he flashes run away).

Definitely one of the harder bosses, he's a little unpredictable and the Honey's are a real pain with their dashing. Work on them first, keep throwing them about. When Barbon walks past, give him a few quick shots. When the Honey's are gone, you can turn your full attention to him. Use the pipes and motorbike parts left around as weapons against him.

Shiva - Level 6 Boss: Chinatown

Image 1

Shiva has 3 attacks.

  • Ghosting (This is the only real one to watch out for, to avoid, get to the side of the screen, sometimes he doesn't use it much per battle, sometimes it gets spammed).
  • Jumping kicks (Move up/down to avoid, be ready to strike once he's finished this move).
  • Punch (Move up/down to avoid, be ready to strike once he's finished this move).

He's one of the easier bosses, there are a few Ravens that come to spoil the party, take them out as quickly as you can. You can't grapple Shiva so all your work is going to have to be done at distance, he's also very quick. Try to guess where he's going next during his jumping phases and you'll be able to get a few combos in quickly.

Estel - Level 7 Boss: Skytrain

Image 1

Estel has 4 attacks.

  • Downwards punch (Move up/down to avoid and follow up with a combo.
  • Mid-air roll (Don't jump at her or she'll always use this move).
  • Kick (Move up/down to avoid and follow up with a combo).
  • Grenades (Keep an eye out for these, if they land close, pick them up and throw them back).

She's probably easier than last time due to the grenades not being as effective and that they can be used against her. This time she has the commissioner as back-up. Largely ignore him and only use him for combo building.

Beyo and Rhia - Level 8 Boss: Art Gallery

Image 1

There are two bosses here, one uses poison and the other one uses fire. They both have only two attacks each

  • Slam to the floor using their special attack as always, they'll flash before use. (Either move up/down or jump away to avoid).
  • Snake attack (Move up/down for this).

Just concentrate on the toxic woman first, her attacks can't do you any damage. Once you've finished with her, focus your attention on the other one.

Possessed Max - Level 9 Boss: Y Tower

Image 1

Max has 3 attacks

  • Jumping kick (Move out of the way using up/down).
  • Shoulder barge (His direction is straight at you so it can be a little difficult to dodge).
  • Spin (His direction is straight at you so it can be a little difficult to dodge).

Once he's finished his attacks, that's your time to get a combo in. Be wary of his grabs and spin the left stick to get out of them.

DJ K-Washi - Level 10 Boss: To the Concert

Image 1

DJ K-Washi has 4 attacks

  • Two green discs on the floor (Jump over these).
  • 1 large green disc on the floor (Jump over this).
  • Two blue fireballs (Move up/down).
  • Orange fireball (Move up/down).

Thankfully this is an easy boss, he has a shield that you need to break down, once that's been done, he'll be knocked out for a few seconds, then you can get him with a few combos. The signals that appear can be a little bit of a pain as they'll throw you. Just keep an eye on them.

Mr. Y - Level 11 Boss: Airplane

Image 1

Mr. Y has 3 attacks

  • Shooting (He'll try to get some shots off, stay close to the top of the screen to avoid, if he's close to the top of the screen when he does this be a 1/3rd of the way down the screen in the safe area to avoid this).
  • Grenades (Once half his health has gone he'll start throwing grenades, get out of the way of these).
  • Rocket launcher (Once half his health has gone he'll get out a rocket launcher, move up/down to avoid).

Mr. Y can be a bit of a pain until you get learn the tendencies he has. He's pretty quick. Give him a few punches as he's running and jumping around.

Ms. Y and Mr. Y - Level 12 Boss: Y Island

Image 1

Image 1

Ms. Y has 3 attacks

  • Simple slash
  • Quick succession slashes
  • Dash

Ms. Y is probably the easiest boss in the game. Get her with a few punch combos while she's on the move.

The strategy for Mr. Y is the same as level 11.

For this battle you want to go for Mr. Y first, once he's hurt enough (About 1/4 of his health) he'll jump into the robot. Either stay in the top right or top left of the screen and come out to attack one of the legs. You can largely ignore Ms. Y during your time up here. There's only one attack that can hurt you if your positioned properly and you can avoid it by timing your jump right just as it's claw slams down on you. Keep working on the robot until he is dead. Ms. Y will jump in and repeat the above until she's also dead.

Story Walkthrough

Your first play-through is going to take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. It's quite enjoyable on the easiest setting so take your time, sit back, get used to the controls. You're ok to die a fair amount as every level is replayable with a full set lives once again (6 lives on easy).

We'll be doing story mode a minimum of 8 times. All can be done on the easiest setting. The game is incredibly linear so the walkthrough will point out the achievements but not really point out each enemy or strategy as this is covered on previous pages. Without further ado let's get started.

On the main menu pick the following - Story > cn_A for New Game > Easy. You can pick any character but I would fully recommend Axel to begin with. (He's probably the most balanced of the starting 4 characters). Press cn_A to start and cn_A once again to start. You'll be immediately be put into a cutscene with a backstory. Once finished you'll find yourself in 'The Streets'

The Streets: Level 1

S Ranks and Arcade on Hard

Here we are... The hardest two achievements in the game, and we're now going to tackle them. They're not a daunting as you think. By now you'd have around 10-15 hours of decent playtime and start to get very familiar with the enemy strategies. Once we've done these two achievements it's all sailing from here! These two are skilled-based and require good technique, learning enemy patterns and some determination.

We're going to tackle the S-Ranks first. These require you to get a predetermined score on each level - you can try any level as often as you want. These have to be done on hard difficulty.

The points are calculated on the following parameters -

  • Base score (This is calculated by the amount of damage given out plus any multipliers from combos).
  • Time Bonus (The quicker you do a level the more points you get).
  • Health Bonus (How much health you have when you've completed a level).
  • Star Moves (Extra points dependant on how many star moves you have saved).

Here are a few tips.

  • Pick a character your comfortable with. I personally used Axel SoR1 and others use Zan SoR3 (Both have a good hit range to keep enemies away). There are no bad characters to use, only bad methods.
  • Most points in levels are earned by damage combos so you need to get these high. Having a 100 hit combo but only dealing 500 damage isn't as good as a 70 hit combo dealing 600 damage so having characters that have more power makes more sense.
  • You need to 'Save' combos, this means if you're hit mid-combo you'll lose any extra multipliers you'd have earned. You essentially have to have a few seconds wait and a + score will come up just below your health bar to tell you it's counted.
  • You're better off going into co-op if you have the option. These are all possible in solo but will take a bit longer as building combos are a little more difficult. Bosses will take a little longer as double-teaming can sometimes take off half the boss's health in one go. The tips here are the same for both solo and co-op.
  • If you do pick co-op, you want ideally one at the left side of the screen and one on the right. This will help keep combos going when someone appears on either side of the screen.
  • You can still use your star moves but try not to where possible. Some levels they're worth an extra 250 points in your bank, some they're worth 500 (don't forget to pick them up). Just don't use your special moves (two different things).
  • You can die a few times on some levels. Notably levels 8-12 have very easy S Rank scores so you can afford to lose a good amount of points here.
  • Use as many weapons as possible and throw a weapon at an enemy to extend your combo time if nobody is around.
  • Hold cn_A if you've been thrown - you'll land on your feet and so save vital seconds as well as getting out of the way of the crowds.
  • Use the arcade machines on every level that has them - there's 4; level 2, 4, 5, and 8.
  • Some levels are worth restarting if you have a poor start - for example. Skytrain... You need to get a 50 hit combo on the 1st section and a 50 hit combo in the middle section to have any chance of getting the S rank.
  • You gain an extra life at 8000 points. If you're playing solo you'll almost always gain at least one and possibly two. Playing co-op you're best having one person pick up the bonuses until they've got an extra life then swap. You don't want to finish the level *just* missing out of the extra life because you've shared the pickups. The extra health bonuses at the end of the level are worth it.
  • Break every bike, bin, table etc (breakable items). There are some valuable items. A suitcase is worth 500 points and money bags are worth 200.
  • Take a break from some levels if they're frustrating.
  • 350 damage combo adds about 900 points to your base total so you don't need huge combos but lots of decent ones.
  • The turkey tip is not to be underestimated, this will pretty much guarantee your success on most levels. This is done by picking up an apple at full health which gives you an extra 300 point bonus. If you get a turkey at full health you get a 1000 point bonus. It makes sense if your doing co-op and someone is nearly dead and someone has full health to have the full health go for a turkey/apple. If the person dies, you'll miss 500 total points at the end of the level but gain 1000 if you get the turkey. Some levels have 4 or 5 turkeys, and so can be an extra 5000 points if done correctly (sometimes having someone sit back when at full health just for the turkeys is also a good idea). It actually makes more sense to die and grab the turkey at full health.

Below are the lowest scores that have still managed to get an S-Rank.

There's also a video below for each level done on solo mode and a very short note addition to each level. The strategy is the same for all levels so keep to the above as best as you can, the text walkthrough above will be enough to get the S ranks however there are videos for those who prefer them. Thanks to TA user - RAINKINGX1 for the videos.

The Streets: Level 1

Top 3 hardest levels. Get to know the enemy patterns and remember where they spawn. Don't forget the three extra star moves hidden in the level, one in the car that you can beat up, one on the power line, and one at the boss in a crate.

Requires - 26,000 points for S Rank

Police Precinct: Level 2

Not too difficult. Don't forget the extra stars, one in the arcade and one before you get into the commissioner's office. You have to beat all the Murphy's just before the boss and it'll drop down from the ceiling.

Requires - 21,000 points for S Rank

Cargo Ship: Level 3

Short level and quite easy, no need to waste star moves. In the section where there's a linear path that you have to walk down,  don't forget to pick up the health and bonus pickups. 1st star is in a container near the start of the level the 2nd is found when you break the captain's chair at the end of the level.

Requires - 17,000 points for S Rank

Old Pier: Level 4

Another short level, don't forget the arcade machine just after the Murphy's - and the star in that section. If needed, use a star move here.

Requires - 18,000 points for S Rank

Underground: Level 5

A little bit of a harder level due to the bar area and the Honey's being a problem in the boss area. Feel free to use a star move in the bar area. Use your throw to keep your paths clear, especially at the boss area as you'll want to pick up all the bonuses when you've destroyed the bikes. Barrel in the underground section for the 1st star, 2nd is opposite the arcade machine, 3rd is in the arcade machine and the 4th is in the boss area under a motorbike.

Requires - 26,000 points for S Rank

Chinatown: Level 6

Arguably the hardest level due to the dojo areas. You need to perfect both areas with a decent combo. Use the spears you find as they deal huge amounts of damage. Once things get a little hectic, use one of your star moves to clear out the screen. The only star is in some bins just before the kitchen.

Requires - 29,000 points for S Rank

Skytrain: Level 7

The last of the hard levels. Smooth sailing after this. Time your jumps well. You've got to perfect the 1st and 2nd part of this level with combos. Don't forget the star that's right at the end of this level. Luckily this one is short!

Requires - 14,000 points for S Rank

Art Gallery: Level 8

5 levels left and they're relatively easy from now on, the requirements are very low in the next few levels. There are two stars on this level, one in the arcade machine at the end of the game and one in the boxes just before the bosses.

Requires - 19,000 points for S Rank

Y Tower: Level 9

4 levels left. The 1st and only star is just before the elevator.

Requires - 18,000 points for S Rank

To the Concert: Level 10

Last few levels now. 1st star is in the 1st segment just before you jump down and the 2nd star is in a crate after you defeat the Koobo.

Requires - 20,000 points for S Rank

Airplane: Level 11

2nd-to-last level. Grab the food items on the elevator as your 1st job. Throw as many people off as you can for some easy kills.

Requires - 19,000 points for S Rank

Y Island: Level 12

Last one. Just before the Ms. Y fight, you have an opportunity to fill up on goodies. You'll have full health before starting the fight. Grab the turkey and apple with full health, you'll have to break the statues to grab them. The 1st and only star is just before you enter the castle under a motorbike. You can use both your specials if you need to in the castle area as this can be a bit tricky without the extra help.

Requires - 31,000 points for the S Rank

Next, we'll take on the arcade, this achievement requires you to beat hard mode with just 3 lives.

  • It sounds daunting at first but you can get extra lives, and you now don't have to worry about getting items at full health.
  • You earn extra lives when you've reached 30,000, 60,000, 90,000, 120,000, 150,000 and 180,000.
  • You can now use your star moves - keep these for times you really need them.
  • Don't eat any health items until you really need them.
  • Once again, this is easier in co-op but not essential.
  • As you have done throughout the game, utilise the weapons around you.
  • Play defensively and try not to get hit. You have no time limit.
  • By now you'd have completed the game a minimum of 9 times so you'll know the patterns and tendencies well by now.
  • Some characters are better than others, popular choices here are Axel SoR1 and Floyd due to the huge special damage.
  • It's a mistake to try to go for this achievement once you've unlocked the mode but most people who try it when they're a lot better at the game do this on their 1st go.
  • A video has been added below for those who like a video reference.

Once you've completed the mode you'll unlock -

100 Yen

Clear the Arcade mode on Hard difficulty or higher.

Next, we're going to complete a stage on Mania difficulty. If needed you can do this in co-op but if you've managed to do arcade on hard or S Ranks you'll have no issues here. Start a new story, set it to Mania difficulty, pick any character, remember to use your star move to make your life a little easier through your playthrough, complete it to unlock -

We now have 4 achievements left, possibly 3 if you had earned another combo achievement but for now, we'll assume you haven't. Up next is the "Out Of This World" combo achievement, which requires a combo of 1100 damage. There are a few places in the game that this can be done but this is the easiest place to do it;

Go to story mode and pick up where you left off on the Mania difficulty.

You want to pick Floyd.

Press cn_start when your able to move, and click retry, choose 3 extra lives and 2 star assists.

Reach the black clothed police officer normally. Once the two come out from the cells at the top, this is where you want to start your combo. Do a few enemies normally then use your star move, you can also use your special moves too. Just before you run out of a combo, use another star move if needed. You should - assuming you've done it right - get over 1100 damage and unlock the following two achievements (there is a video below) -

Combo Expert

Achieve an "Amazing!!" combo.

Combo Master

Achieve an "Out of this world!!!" combo.

Now we're going to beat a level without taking any damage.

There's two ways to do this, either one is perfectly fine.

You can do this in solo or in co-op

If you want to do this in solo, pick stage select, easy, Skytrain and pick Skate - SoR3.

You'll want to take advantage of his amazing special; you do this by hitting cn_rightcn_Y together. When you need to jump, use this and you'll pass straight through it. Use this to beat all enemies. Note that you'll be invincible as long as you have enough health. Grab the food at the end of the level so you can keep going. See the video below:

If you want to do this in co-op, pick stage 1 (The Streets) Have your partner cover you. Try to avoid all contact with enemies and let your partner do all the work. You need to grab all the stars so at the end you can protect yourself. If at any point you get close to being hit, use your star move. It's actually much easier than you expect. Once done you'll unlock -

Perfect

Complete a stage without taking damage.

Perfect
2 guidesOnline/OfflineSingle PlayerCooperative

Almost certainly your last achievement; you're going to have to grind to 5 million points.

Since this guide is about completing this the quickest way possible, the best option is to keep replaying Skytrain using the exact method above with Skate over and over. Each run on average is 12,000 points, if you get a perfect, it's about 17,000 points. Every time you reply the level takes approximately 3:30 including loading.

This will take 1 hour for 208,000, that 5 hours of grinding for 1 million. There are other ways to not grind. You can go through normal and hardest difficulties in story mode with characters that you've not used before for extra bonuses, it will take longer than the Skytrain method though.

Once done you'll unlock -

Bleeding Knuckles

Reach a lifetime score of 5,000,000.
