DiRT 3

Welcome to the walkthrough for DiRT 3, a rally racing game that has you racing through dirt, rain and snow. Most of the game can be made very easy by playing on the lowest difficulty but the platinums you’ll need to earn can definitely be challenging. The walkthrough will be split into four sections: Story, Battersea Compound, Multiplayer, and DLC.

For the story, you’ll be racing through the DiRT Tour, making sure to place first in each event. You’ll need to platinum all DC Challenges, which takes some skill but anyone can do them with enough persistence. You’ll also need to platinum all five Gymkhana Academy tutorials, one of them is very difficult and will take a lot of practice and persistence.

The Battersea Compound consists of three open areas with various tasks you’ll need to complete (these are unlocked as you progress through the DiRT Tour). There are 80 missions in total so I’ve created a separate page for these, none of them are overly difficult.

You’ll need at least four people to unlock all the multiplayer achievements, all though the majority of them can be done with just two. These can all be done fairly quickly except for the level achievement. Good news is you can idle boost the experience, but it will take just under 20 hours.

And finally, the DLC. This will cover the four add-ons for the game. There are two multiplayer achievements which can be completed very quickly but require two people. The rest are singleplayer and won’t take more than a couple of hours to unlock them all.

There is an achievement for placing first in all events, so to make this as easy as possible, play on the lowest difficulty setting. You can change the difficulty before the start of any race by selecting Difficulty and Assists and changing the Experience Level. Casual is the lowest Experience Level (difficulty) and features auto-braking so all you’d have to do is hold down cn_RT and follow the green driving line.

Each race has a bonus objective, you need to complete 25 of these for two achievements. Most objectives will be completed naturally and you’ll have completed many more than 25 by the time you’ve finished the DiRT Tour.

As you level up, always choose the newest cars to race with (furthest right). The cars you unlock give a larger REP reward for completing bonus objectives and you’ll want as much REP as possible to reach Driver Rep level 30.

Each race, you’re given five flashbacks. To use these, press cn_LB, then hold cn_LT to rewind and press cn_X to resume. These are especially useful when attempting to platinum the DC Challenges. Inside the Battersea Compound, you have infinite flashbacks.

Before doing anything, you’ll want to change some settings to unlock an achievement after the first race. From the main menu, select Options, then HUD. Set Entire HUD to Off. Now select DiRT Tour from the main menu.

For the third event in the Brembo Blast triangle, choose the 90’s class to work towards another achievement. The event after this will be your first DC Challenge. You’ll need to platinum all of these for an achievement. This requires a bit of skill and may take a couple of attempts to earn platinum.

This one is the first Drift Showcase. You’ll need to score 15,000 drift points for the platinum. Use the handbrake to drift around turns, trying to maintain a drift throughout each one. Best way to do this is when you’re beginning a turn, let up off the gas and press cn_B into the turn (the longer you hold it, the harder the drift). Then hold down the gas and use the cn_LS to maintain the drift.

Do this for each turn and at the end, circle around the pillar and come back, drifting again around each turn. With a little bit of persistence, you’ll eventually reach enough points to earn the platinum.

The next DC Challenge will be the second Drift Showcase. You’ll need 26,000 points for the platinum and this one is more difficult than the first. Before you start, go into Vehicle Setup and change Downforce to High and Ride Height to Low. After quite a few attempts, I made those two adjustments and was able to get it within a couple of tries.

Don’t worry about driving off the cliff or the road, as you’ll still get your points and you’ll respawn back on the track. Just try to keep drifts going and drift as much as possible and you’ll eventually get the platinum and unlock:

Onto the Gymkhana Academy. There are five tutorials and you need to earn platinum on all of them for an achievement. First is the Smash Tutorial, which you’ll need to score 200,000 points for platinum. This one is pretty difficult and will definitely take you multiple tries. You have to hit every sign and aren’t given any extra time for mistakes. Just remember you can use five flashbacks.

The route to take: start by driving through the large buried pipes ahead, then drifting right and smashing all the signs along the outside. When you come back around, drive to the right of the buried pipes you drove through and circle around the two smaller concrete pipes (approach them from the left and drift to begin driving around them, being sure to hit every sign). After fully circling around the second concrete pipe, smash the signs ahead while drifting to the right to turn 180 degrees. Go up the ramp, smash the signs atop the containers and after the last two, keep left to go down another ramp to smash the final sign.

Next is the Jump Tutorial, you’ll need 45,000 points to score platinum. This one is much easier than the previous tutorial. On the first jump, score 5,000 points then drift as soon as you land. The trick is to let up off the gas when you begin your drift, then when you’ve almost turned 180 degrees, hold down the gas to hit the next jump with enough power. All the jumps after the first should be 10,000 points. Just make sure to hit the jumps straight on and you should have no problem netting the platinum.

Next is the Drift Tutorial, this is the hardest platinum in the game. This tutorial is extremely difficult to platinum, you’ll need to score 145,000 points. Most importantly, pause the event when it starts and select Options, then Controls, and change to Manual transmission. As soon as you’re able to drive, press cn_X to switch to second gear and stay in that gear the entire time.

In order to earn the platinum, you’ll be drifting in a figure of eight through the gates. You need to be drifting as you pass under a gate and continue drifting all the way around (staying in between the markers), out of the gate on the other side. Then drive to the gate in front of you and repeat. Each time you drift through a gate or between markers, you’ll gain points. Max is 5,000, but you need to score at least 4,000 the majority of the time (you can maybe get away with one or two 3,000s). If you miss a drift and earn no points, you may as well restart.

You need to drift hard and use the cn_LS to maintain your drift throughout. What I found worked best was as soon as you come out the other gate of the drift, let up off the gas to straighten yourself back out. Then gun it towards the other gate and keep cn_RT held down as you begin the next drift. This is a very challenging platinum and will likely take a couple of hours. But keep going at it and you’ll get it eventually.

Next is the Spin Tutorial, very easy if you use a little trick. You need 100,000 points for the platinum. To start a spin, gain some speed then simultaneously hit the brakes and handbrake while turning. Once you’ve slowed down, let up off both brakes, continue to turn and hold the gas down.

If you can position your spin just right in the corner of one of the squares so your car is halfway in and out of the square, you can just spin in the same spot the entire time. Otherwise, doing it legit isn’t that hard either. You can only get 10,000 in a square at a time, so just switch back and forth between the two squares until you earn platinum.

And finally, the Donut Tutorial. This should be very doable after earning the platinum on the Drift Tutorial. You need 110,000 points for platinum. Just switch between the two larger circles and you should finish this one easily and unlock:

Next event is the first Gymkhana Sprint DC Challenge. You’ll need to have a near-flawless run for the platinum, which is 45 seconds. Don’t forget you have five rewinds, they can be very helpful during challenges. Follow the path around, doing the tricks as you come to them.

You start with a jump, let up off the gas as you go off and slowly approach the upcoming spin. Exit after completing the spin and follow the path to a drift. Smash the sign, then start to slow as you approach the donut, making sure to start it from the right. After circling around, hit the next three signs and drift under the truck. Slowly approach the next donut and start it from the left. Then drive off the jump.

After a couple of tries, you shouldn’t have much trouble earning platinum and possibly unlocking:

If you don’t unlock the achievement, do the challenge again. You don’t need platinum, you just need to complete it without hitting anything. Also, you need to land softly on the first jump, making sure you land on all four wheels at the same time. You shouldn’t have any trouble doing this since you’ve just earned the platinum.

Within a couple of events, you should have completed your 25th bonus objective and unlock:

Next DC Challenge is the first Smash Attack. You’ll need to smash all the robots without hitting any buildings for the platinum, this one isn’t very difficult. Rewind is your friend as always. Start by keeping right and driving around the outside. After looping all the way around, continue into the middle. Donut around the first pole then hit the lone robot by the next pole. After earning the platinum, you’ll unlock:

During the third event in the Pro Invitational triangle, you can get another achievement. During the second race of the event, your goal is to score 500,000 points. To do this, you’ll need to build a x3 multiplier by performing tricks.

The best way I found to go about that is to only do the donut trick around the green structures. Also, don’t hit anything as it diminishes your multiplier (if you do, rewind). Jump into the first area and do the two donuts, then jump into the next area and do those two donuts. Finally, go into the last two areas and do those donuts.

You should have a x3 multiplier. Now drive around smashing signs, remember to rewind if you hit anything. If your multiplier is about to go back to x2, do another donut to keep it at x3. Continue driving around smashing signs with a x3 multiplier and you should reach 500,000 points before the time expires and unlock:

If you don’t reach 500,000, select Restart Race and try again. You should be able to get it after a couple of tries.

Next DC Challenge is the first Speedrun, you have 35 seconds to complete this for the platinum. This one is very tight and you’ll most likely just barely make it when you finally do. Keep going at it though and you will eventually get it.

Gun it at the beginning off the jump, then let up off the gas when you land for a bit to regain control. Then quickly drive between the containers, letting up off the gas a little to avoid running into them. Then gun it as you exit and start slamming on the brakes as you near the turn ahead.

Perform a tight drift around the bend as you’re slowing, then gun it again and when you’re driving under the pipes, let up off the gas for a quick second so your car doesn’t start to drift as you exit and approach the next marker. Gun it again and start slamming on the brakes before the final turn. Continue to brake while you’re turning, then drift slightly and gun it up the ramp to the finish.

In the X Games triangle, after winning the first race of the first event, you’ll unlock:

Air Miles

Win a race in every location

Next DC Challenge is the first Gymkhana Attack. You need to complete the six different tricks located around the area in 40 seconds for the platinum. This one isn’t too bad and if you follow the route below, you should be able to get the platinum within a few tries.

Start out by doing a donut around the pole, starting from the left. After circling around, go drift through the large buried pipes on the other side of the area. Turn 180 to the right as you exit and go off the jump, then donut around the digger ahead, starting from the left. After circling around, stick to the right side of the area and drift under the truck trailer. Then drive towards the containers in the far corner and drift between them.

After winning the final event in the X Games triangle, you’ll unlock:

The DC Challenge in this World Tour is the third Drift Showcase. You need 20,000 points for the platinum and you should have no problem getting that, very likely earning platinum first try.

The next DC Challenge is the second Smash Attack. Again, you’ll need to hit all robots without hitting any buildings and you have 30 seconds. This one isn’t very difficult and you shouldn’t have any problem earning the platinum.

Start by going right around the outside, slowly approaching the corner and drifting around. Just brake around the next set then donut to hit all of them in the garage. Start braking as you hit the next robot to avoid falling off the edge and continue around. Then drive straight up the middle and slam on the brakes as you approach the last two. Drift around the pole and drive back down the middle to hit the final robots.

Next DC Challenge is the second Gymkhana Sprint. You’ll need to hit all 13 tricks within 45 seconds for the platinum. By now you should have a better grasp on the game and how the cars handle and should be able to earn this platinum after a couple of tries.

Brake and drift around the first two turns, then hit the jump and brake as soon as you land, drifting around the turn. Brake and drift the next turn then full speed ahead, through the fence. Start braking as you approach the turn, then tightly drift around the pole. Donut around the barrels ahead, starting from the right. Brake before the next turn and slightly drift around, then approach the next donut from the left. Hit the smash, then about a quarter of the way into the garage perform a tight spin. You should continue to spin out of the garage and hit the boxes to complete the challenge.

After a couple more events, you should reach Driver Rep level 20 and unlock:

Next DC Challenge is the second Speedrun. You need to finish within 32 seconds for the platinum. This one is fairly straightforward and you should have the platinum after a couple of tries. Just do a combination of regular brake into handbrake and drift around every turn, trying to cut them as tight as possible.

By now you should have three more World Tours available. In the second World Tour, you have the second Gymkhana Attack DC Challenge. Nothing too difficult here, you’ve got 40 seconds to earn the platinum. Should get it within a couple of tries.

Start by doing the donut around the pole in front of you, starting from the right side. Then hit the nearby drift with a very slight drift and continue down the right side. Turn left at the end and hit the drift ahead. Donut around the pole ahead, starting from the left. Go up the ramp ahead, turn right twice and hit the jump. Turn right then drop down to the left. Drive into the garage and perform the spin.

The third World Tour has the fourth Drift Showcase DC Challenge. You’ll need 15,000 for the platinum. This one isn’t too bad, just try to maintain long drifts around turns and drift as much as possible.

The fourth World Tour has the third Gymkhana Attack DC Challenge. This one is very easy, you have 38 seconds for the platinum. Should be able to first try this using a couple of rewinds.

Start by slightly drifting under the digger to the left, making sure to hit the drift turning right. Then drive right to the nearby corner and do the donut, starting from the left. Do the spin ahead, starting from the left. Then keep to the right side, cross the bridge, and hit the next donut. Cross the other bridge, then hit the drift that’s ahead and to the left. Make sure to hit this drift turning right, then hit the final donut ahead to finish the challenge.

The final triangle of the third season, Winter X Games, has the Bobsleigh Challenge. This is a unique DC Challenge in which you have to beat the bobsleigh for the platinum. It’s pretty much just another Speedrun. This one is probably the second hardest platinum in the game and will take many attempts.

Before the challenge, select Vehicle Setup and change it to this setup (1 being the furthest left):

Gear Ratio - 3

Downforce - 2

Suspension - 1

Ride Height - 2

Differential - 2

Brake Bias - 3

Try to improve each area as you work towards platinum. Hold down the gas as much as possible, use the regular brake before turns, then hit the gas throughout the turn. You should only use the handbrake once, about halfway down, on a hairpin turn. When you finally do manage to earn the platinum, you’ll unlock:

Season 4

First DC Challenge is the third Gymkhana Sprint. You have 52 seconds for the platinum and this one’s pretty tight. Keep at it and you’ll eventually earn the platinum.

Do the donut in front of you, starting from the left. Then hit the spin under the crane, starting it just before going underneath and trying to finish it as you come out the other side. Hit the smash, then very lightly drift under the next crane. Hit the jump, brake as soon as you land back on the dirt and continue toward the donut, starting it from the right. Hit the two smashes and the next drift, starting it after crossing the bridge. Continue to the next smash and brake quite a bit in advance to start the donut ahead from the left. Go up the ramp to hit the final smash and jump to finish the challenge.

Within a couple of events, you should reach Driver Rep level 30 and unlock:

Next DC Challenge is the third Smash Attack. This one is very easy, you need 40 points for the platinum. Avoid hitting any buildings and follow the path below.

Start by going hard right, then donut to hit all those robots. Continue right and 180 to hit the next set. Ignore the closer robot and drive towards the one further right, hit it and continue in that direction. Smash the next set of robots then 180 to the right and smash that set. Drive toward the digger in the distance and donut around, starting from the right. Then donut around the bottom of the crane, starting from the left. Head straight to the next robot and continue around the right side to finish the challenge.

Next DC Challenge is the fourth Gymkhana Sprint. This one is pretty easy, you have 54 seconds for the platinum.

Start the donut from the right, then hit the drift ahead. Hit the smash and start the next donut from the right. Head across the other bridge and hit the next three smashes. Hit the drift ahead slightly then approach the donut from the left. Hit the two smashes and approach the next donut from the right. Then drive into the container and stick to the left side to hit the jump and complete the challenge.

The next DC Challenges are the third and fourth Speedrun, both are located in the final triangle of Season 4. For the third Speedrun, you have 30 seconds for the platinum. Keep your vehicle controlled and use the regular brake for turns, you won’t be smashing the gas much. When you come to the section underneath the bridges, if you line your car up right in the middle you can just drive straight through. Use your rewinds and you should be able to earn the platinum after a few attempts.

For the fourth Speedrun, you also have 30 seconds for the platinum. Brake into handbrake on the first three hairpin turns as you’re going down. Then drift around the next three turns and on the last turn just use your regular brakes. You shouldn’t have any trouble earning the platinum, especially with rewinds.

Start by driving straight ahead and around the left side of the area. After coming back around to the middle, drive to the closest group of robots to the right and donut around, starting from the right. After doing a full circle, drive to the next group. Hit these robots then 180 to the right and follow the next few robots to another group. Donut around, starting from the left. Drive through the pipe and hit the next group, turning right. The Battersea Compound consists of three free roam zones you unlock after completing Seasons 1, 2 and 3. In each of these areas, you’re given various tasks to complete (the game calls them missions). There are 80 missions in total. You can check your progress at any time by pressing cn_start and selecting Missions.

Some drifts are very finicky and you have to hit them at just the right angle and with the right amount of speed. Also, you have to make sure to start all drifts before passing or going under the area it wants you to drift. I’d suggest using the Ford Fiesta Gymkhana 3.

Zone 1: Parking Lot
23 Missions

Hidden Packages - Find the hidden packages.

1/9 - Go off the dirt ramp to the left of the digger in front of you.

2/9 - Drive past the concrete pipe and pole, then turn right and go off the wooden ramp.

3/9 - Take the right that comes up immediately after landing and drive to the end of the platform.

4/9 - Drive off the end and head towards the far right corner from your position.

5/9 - Turn around and follow the left wall, then drive under the two large buried pipes and into the open container.

6/9 - Back out of the container, turn left and drive up the ramp onto the top of the containers. Drive to the opposite end atop the containers.

7/9 - Drop down and head left towards all the shipping containers stacked on top of each other. When you’re about halfway to them, drive under the scaffolding to the left.

8/9 - Continue towards the stacked containers and just before reaching them, turn left and drive under the truck trailer.

9/9 - Turn left and drive towards the large buried pipes. With both of them on your left, continue past them and straight ahead, towards the containers you drove atop earlier, to find the final hidden package next to some boxes and wooden pallets (right beside the white container that’s in between the blue containers).

Block Buster - Smash all the DC blocks.

From the last hidden package, turn left and drive towards the green DC blocks under the scaffolding in the distance. Smash these six blocks.

Spin Dryer - Do a triple spin inside the plastic blocks next to the power station.

Drive to the stacked containers again and to the left of them, between the plastic barriers, is the area where you need to do a triple spin. You’ll need a bit of speed to start the spin, then just continue it until you’ve done three full circles.

Slalom Lamp Posts - Slalom between the lamp posts at a minimum of 30 mph.

Drive to the corner where one of the hidden packages was located (the corner behind where you initially started). In this open area are four lamp posts (the poles with tires at the bottom). Wind around the four lamp posts in succession, keeping your car in second gear by just tapping the cn_RT.

Airborne - Complete a jump from either side of the dirt ramp.

Go back to where you initially started and jump off the large dirt ramp again.

180 Jump - Perform a 180 spin while jumping.

Return to the initial starting position and make sure you’re a good distance from the dirt ramp, as you’re going to need a lot of speed. Gun it towards the ramp and before going off, drift hard. Rewind if you’re unable to perform the 180 spin in the air and attempt it again.

Crossover Ramps - Complete a jump between the crossover ramps.

Go off one of the smaller ramps that are located between the large dirt ramps.

Powerstation Leap - Jump from the ramp onto the power station girder structure.

Completed while collecting the second hidden package.

Mother Trucker - Drift under the truck trailers.

Drift under the truck trailers where one of the hidden packages was located (to the left of the stacked containers).

Digger - Drift under the digger scoop.

Drift under the arm of the digger near the initial starting position.

Scaffold Structure - Drift under the scaffolding near the block of flats.

Drift under the scaffolding where the DC blocks were located.

Behind the Containers - Drift behind the containers.

Drift between the containers in the corner by the buried pipes.

Powerstation Girders - Drift through the power station girders.

Drift under the section that comes out from the rest of the platform surrounding the power station. This is located near the truck trailers you drifted under. It’s the first piece you land on after going off the ramp.

At the Ramp’s End - Drift between the concrete pipes and tires at the dirt ramp.

At the end of the dirt ramp, near the buried pipes, are two concrete pipes and two lamp posts. Drift between these, with the concrete pipes to the left and lamp posts to the right. This one seems to be very specific, make sure you start the drift before passing between the first pipe and post and just drift slightly. I nailed the drift many times with a tight drift but it wasn’t until I just slightly drifted through that it counted.

Between the Jumps - Drift between the large dirt ramps.

Drift between the dirt ramps, coming from the side without the scaffolding and starting from the left. Start the drift just before the smaller ramp that’s left of the dirt ramp.

Under the Jump - Drift under the dirt ramp scaffolding.

Drift under the scaffolding between the dirt ramps, where one of the hidden packages was located. Another picky one, come from the left side and make sure you start the drift before going below the scaffolding.

Pipe Dream - Drift through the buried large pipes.

Slightly drift through the two buried pipes. As always, start the drift prior to entering the pipe.

Can You Dig It - Do a double donut around the cab section of the digger.

Donut around the body of the digger, fully circling twice.

Two Scoops - Do a double donut around the scoop of the digger.

Donut around the arm of the digger, fully circling twice.

Pole Dancer - Do a double donut around any of the six lamp posts.

Donut around any lamppost, fully circling twice.

At this point, you’ll unlock:

Scaffolding Posts - Do a double donut around any of the dirt ramp scaffold posts.

Donut around one of the posts holding up the scaffolding that’s connected to the dirt ramp, fully circling twice.

Girder Herder - Do a double donut around any of the power station girders.

Donut around any of the red girders holding up the platform surrounding the power station, fully circling twice.

Pipe Cleaner - Do a double donut around any of the concrete pipe sections.

Donut around any concrete pipe, fully circling twice.

That’s it for Zone 1!

Zone 2: Depot
19 Missions

Hidden Packages - Find the hidden packages.

1/7 - Drive under the crane slightly to the right and continue in that direction towards the alcove on the side of the power station.

2/7 - Turn around and drive back under the crane. Continue in that direction towards the crane in the distance, then drive under the container to the right of the forklift.

3/7 - Turn right and drive into the garage. Drive into the third group of boxes on the right (the one right after the red spin zone) and directly into the wall.

4/7 - Go out the other end of the garage and continue straight, up to the raised area, then up the ramp ahead. Turn right at the top, then drive under the crane and go to the far end. Turn right again and into the open blue container.

5/7 - Back out all the way until you fall off the containers. Ignore the open container directly in front of you and enter the other open container to the right.

6/7 - Back out of this container, turn right and drive through the small fence slightly to your right.

7/7 - Back up and turn left. Drive all the way back to the garage and to the left of the closest entrance, you’ll find the final hidden package under a ramp.

Don’t Paint the Fence - Smash the fence between the Parking Lot and Depot areas.

Drive back up to the raised area and drive through the fence at the other end.

Big Fence Little Fence - Smash the small fence between the Depot and Parking Lot.

Completed while collecting the sixth hidden package.

Crazy Legs Cranes - Do a triple spin under any of the three four-legged cranes.

Drive back around to the Depot area and find the nearest crane, then start a spin underneath it and circle around three times.

Warehouse Spin - Perform a spin while driving through the warehouse.

Go back to the garage, get some speed and drive into it. Perform a spin while moving through it and come out the other end.

Like a Record - Do a triple spin on a corner of the raised containers.

Go back to the raised area and up the ramp to the top of the containers. Drive to the end near where you found the hidden package in the container and start a spin, fully circling around three times.

Container Gap - Jump the ramped gap between the containers.

Still atop the containers, drive back under the crane then turn left. Go off the jump ahead.

Take It to the River - Jump the car into the River Thames.

Drive back to the start and head to where you found the hidden package by the forklift under the container. Drive off the edge here into the river.

Thread the Needle - Drop off the containers into an open container.

Head back onto the containers to where you just did the spin. Drive up the nearby ramp and face away from where you initially started in this area (facing the stacked containers). Straight ahead, on the bottom row of the stacked containers, is an open container (you can easily see it if you change your view). Drive down the ramp, off the containers, and into the open container. You’ll have to rewind if you hit the sides.

Trailer Trash - Jump through the open container near the river.

Go back to where you just drove into the river. Drive up the ramp by the forklift into the container that had the hidden package underneath. You’ll need a bit of speed for it to actually register.

Ramp to Roof - Jump from the ramp onto the roof of the warehouse side building.

Go to the side of the garage and off the ramp that had the final hidden package underneath. Just barely go off the ramp for it to register.

Forklift Drift - Drift behind the forklift nearest to the river.

Drift around the forklift straight ahead, starting from the right.

Container Slide - Drift around the corner between the power station and the Depot.

Head towards the stacked containers, driving under the two cranes. Turn right after passing under the second crane (the stacked containers should be to your left). If you face the entrance to the power station, you’re going to have to drift between the wall and the containers to the right of the entrance.

You need a pretty wide drift for this to count, so reverse until you’re back under the second crane. Drive right up next to the stacked containers and start your drift. You want to be starting your drift just after the first open container on the bottom row.

Get on Up and Slide - Drift around a corner of the raised area surrounding the yard.

Go back to the raised area and up the ramp onto the containers. Go over the jump then turn left, drive under the crane, and stop. Turn around and drive towards the blue containers ahead, starting your drift as you approach the wooden bridge.

Under the Crane - Drift under the free-standing crane.

Drive back under the two cranes leading to the stacked containers and drift under the second one. Start the drift from the right and drift turning left.

Lamp Posts - Do a double donut around any of the five lamp posts.

Donut around any lamppost, circling around twice. There are two in the raised area and three by the initial starting location.

Forklifts - Do a double donut around either of the two forklifts in the area.

Donut around either forklift, circling around twice.

At this point, you’ll unlock:

Crane Legs - Do a double donut around any leg of the free-standing crane.

Donut around the leg of the nearby crane, circling around twice.

Girder Post - Double donut around the tire covered girder next to the power station.

Drive to where you found the first hidden package. Underneath the nearby platforms is a red girder right next to a pole with tires at the bottom. Donut around these, circling around twice.

That’s it for Zone 2!

Zone 3: Power Station
30 Missions

Hidden Packages - Find the hidden packages.

1/8 - Drive towards the dirt ramp slightly to the left in the distance. Go off of it, then turn around when you reach the crane. Now go off the ramp to the left of the dirt ramp (the one that causes your car to do a barrel roll). Rewind if you were unable to hit the hidden package and try again.

2/8 - Head back to the crane and turn left to drive down a curved slope. At the bottom, 180 to the right to the other side of the railing. Drive forward and turn right when the wall ends.

3/8 - Turn around and head left. Keep heading straight under the cranes and keep an eye on the right side to find the hidden package close to the other end.

4/8 - Drive out the other end and up the curved slope. Follow the outer right wall of the area and go into the power station when you come to the entrance by the truck trailers. Drive forward and go up the ramp you come across. Keep taking the ramps all the way up and drive off the ramp at the very top.

5/8 - Head back down the ramps you just drove up. Turn left at the bottom and enter the large pipe directly in front of you (entrance is to the left). Drive up the wall of the pipe to do a loop and hit the hidden package at the top, in the middle.

6/8 - Exit the pipe and drive up any ramp in the power station to go up one level. Drive over to the pipe on this level and get on top of it.

7/8 - Drop down off the pipe and position yourself so the pipe is directly to your left. Drive to the wall directly left of the entrance ahead and to the back of the alcove.

8/8 - Back out until the pipe is to your left, then go up the ramp to your right. Turn right at the top and follow it around. Ignore the first left you come across and take the second. Take the first left to find the final hidden package.

Corkscrew the Pipe - Drive upside-down inside the pipe in the power station.

Head back to the large pipe and instead of driving straight up the wall, drive slanted up the wall. The goal is to have one fluid loop, from one end to the other, while driving through the pipe. This may take a couple of attempts to have it register properly.

Top-Spin Dryer - Perform a triple spin at the top level of the power station.

Drive to the very top of the power station again and start a spin in the spin zone, circling around three times.

Spin Dry Jetty - Do a triple spin under the cranes on the jetty.

Exit the power station through the main entrance and head towards the two cranes in the distance (you have to cross a bridge to reach them). Start a spin under one of them and circle around three times.

Steel Spinner - Do a triple spin amongst the submerged steel girders.

Head back across the bridge and turn left. There’s a spin zone between the short pieces of metal clustered together. Do a spin there, circling around three times.

Stairset - Drive down the stairs.

Head toward the nearby curved slope that leads down to the river (you drove down it earlier to collect some hidden packages). Instead of turning left and driving down it, continue past it. Turn left into the area with a forklift and continue following the left wall. At the end, 180 to the left and drive down the stairs. If it doesn’t register, reverse back up and get a little bit of speed this time.

Rolling Stock Leap - Jump onto the trains from the riverside.

Head back to where you initially started. If you’re looking at the dirt ramp, there’s a ramp to your left on top of some tires. Go off of this ramp to land on some buildings.

Scaffold to Parking Lot Leap - Jump up the scaffold side ramp into the Parking Lot.

Go off the wooden ramp to your left on the side of the power station. It seems you’ll need quite a bit of speed for this one to register.

Railway Hopper - Jump onto the trains via the ramp furthest from the river.

Turn around and drive under the furthest truck trailer. Go off the ramp ahead, similar to the one you already went off, to land on the buildings again.

Leap of Faith - Jump across the gap at the top of the power station.

Completed while collecting the fourth hidden package.

Make the Gap - Jump the gaps between the scaffolding inside the power station.

Go back into the power station and go up one level from the ground floor. At one end of the large pipe is an unfinished bridge. Gain some speed and jump across it.

Table Topper - Clear the scaffold tabletop jump in the power station.

Go to the main entrance of the power station and turn around to be facing the inside of the power station. Drive to the opposite entrance, flip back around and back all the way up. Now drive back up the middle to go off a little ramp in the center to clear the flat section. You’ll see where you’re supposed to jump because it has an orange arrow on it.

Locomotive Leap - Land a jump through the train between the corkscrew jumps.

Completed while going for the first hidden package.

Trailer Thrash - Jump through the trailer into the Parking Lot.

Head back down to the power station’s ground floor from the main entrance. After going down the ramp, with the large pipe to your right, turn left. Drive between the two white columns and turn right. Go off the small ramp ahead, into a container, and out the other end.

Do a Barrel Roll - Land a corkscrew jump.

Head back to where you initially started. On the left side of the dirt ramp you went off in the beginning is a container that has a ramp inside of it. This one is very picky. Start from the tire pile and drive towards the container. Let up off the gas as soon as your entire car is inside the container and hit the ramp directly in the middle. You’ll need to land on the dirt ramp after doing a barrel roll. Keep using rewinds and adjusting until you get it just right.

Big Jump to the Riverside - Hit the big jump from the power station to the wasteland.

Go back to the ground floor of the power station. With the large pipe to your left, back all the way up and go off the ramp ahead.

Onto/Off Jetty - Drift onto or off the jetty.

Drive over the bridge ahead and start drifting halfway across it.

Crossmembers - Drift under the large cross-frame girders.

Go across the other bridge and drift between the two central large girders to your right. You’ll need a good amount of speed for it to register.

At this point, you’ll unlock:

Power Station Main Door - Drift into or out of the power station through the main door.

Start from the inside of the power station with the large pipe to your left. Drive towards the entrance and start drifting to the right as soon as you reach the first red girder to your left.

Train Carriages - Drift between any of the train carriages.

Return to where you initially started and face the dirt ramp. Pan the camera right and drift through the furthest opening. (These looked like buildings but apparently they’re train carriages.)

Riverside Drifter - Drift up or down either of the slopes leading to the river.

Head to the curved slope nearby that leads to the river and drift down it.

Boat Stands - Drift under the brick boat stand.

Go back through the train carriage you just drifted through and turn left. You need to drift under this boat. Head back to the dirt jump you went off of and position yourself right at the start of it, facing the boat. Drive towards the boat and drift under it.

Buried Large Pipes - Drift through the buried large pipes.

Go back towards the two cranes that are across the bridges and near them is a large buried pipe. Approach it from a distance and slightly drift through it.

Truck Trailers - Drift under the truck trailers near the railway.

Go back towards the boat you just drifted under and follow the side of the power station. Drift under the first truck trailer you come across with a decent amount of speed.

Tire Piles - Do a double donut around any of the tire piles.

Return to where you initially started and donut around the tire pile, circling twice.

Huge Girders - Do a double donut around any of the huge girders.

Drive to the large girders to the left of the dirt ramp and donut around one of them, circling twice.

Mooring Posts - Do a double donut around any mooring post.

Drive across one of the bridges toward the cranes and donut around one of the mooring posts, circling twice.

Column - Donut around the column above ground level in the power station.

Go towards the main entrance of the power station and drive up the ramp to the right of the entrance. Go inside and drive around to the left. Donut around the white column you come across, circling twice.

Indoor Girders - Do a double donut around any of the girders inside the power station.

Go down to the ground floor and donut around any of the red girders, circling twice.

Big Cranes - Do a double donut around either of the big cranes.

Go back outside and drive towards where you initially started. Keep driving towards the large crane you see in front of you and smash through the fence. Donut around the bottom of the large crane, circling twice. This one is a bit more difficult than your usual donut. You kind of have to keep flicking the cn_LS to the left and right to keep the donut going.

That’s it for Zone 3! All that’s left are the cumulative missions that can be done in any of the three areas.

Any Zone
8 Missions

Air - Spend 3 minutes in the air.

Keep going off jumps to increase your time spent in the air. Probably the best way to grind this out is to keep going off the two large dirt ramps in the Parking Lot.

Drift - Spend 4 minutes drifting.

Any time you drift this will increase. The Parking Lot is a good place to grind this out because it’s a big open area. Just drive in large circles around the area, drifting as much as possible.

Speed - Spend 5 minutes above 80 mph.

Again, the best place to grind this out is the Parking Lot. Just hold down the gas and drive in large circles around the area.

Roll - Roll the car 30 times.

Just keep going off the two barrel roll ramps.

Spin - Complete 40 spins in any spin zone.

This can be done in one continuous spin. Find a spin zone and stay in the spin until you’ve reached 40.

Drive - Drive 50 miles.

This will most likely be the last mission you complete. Just like the drift and speed, drive in large circles around the Parking Lot to increase your miles driven.

Donut - Complete 60 donuts.

Same as spins, find a small donut zone and stay in the donut until you’ve reached 60.

Smash - Smash 500 compound objects.

Anything that you can break or push around when you run into will add to this. Cardboard boxes, wooden pallets, barrels, etc. Just keep smashing into anything you can. If you do circles around the perimeter of the Parking Lot, you can increase this pretty quickly. The objects respawn as you come back around to them.

After completing your final mission, you’ll unlock:

The best way to gain experience is to idle boost. You can either do this by yourself with two Xboxes or with a boosting partner. You’ll need 1-2 wired controllers (depending on if you’re multi-boxing or not). You can double-box with either two physical copies or one digital copy and either two Xbox Ones or an X1 and an Xbox 360. You could also use two 360s but you’d need two gold accounts.

Set an X1 as your home Xbox and create a silver account on the same Xbox (this account will have gold because your main account does), then use the other Xbox with your main account. Now onto the boosting method.

Search Team Pro Tour and select Gymkhana. When choosing cars, select the first option (Subaru Impreza WRX STi GD Gymkhana). Rubber band the cn_RT and cn_LSr, causing your car to continuously drive in circles. The match will take a minute and a half. Once it ends, you’ll earn around 900 XP. After leaving this to idle for 18 hours, you’ll unlock:
