Return to Grace

RTG Main Screen

Hello there ;-) and welcome to my walkthrough for Return to Grace.

Return to Grace offers a stroll through a groovy '60s sci-fi world where you're in control.

You take on the role of Adamari Ito, or Adie for short, a space archaeologist who's stumbled upon something huge: the ancient home of Grace, a super-smart A.I. that once ran the whole solar system.

But here's the twist: Grace isn't flying solo. There are different versions of her hanging around, each with their own quirks and agendas.

As Adie, you'll walk, interact, and explore, figuring out who to trust and who to buddy up with while piecing together why Grace got the boot thousands of years ago.

RTG Controls

Controls are super simple in this game. You can refer to the image above, but note that some controls are used for more things. Let me list them:

Hide ads

cn_A - Interact, examine, use, open, hack

cn_B - Have AI put in codes to open doors

cn_Y - Toggle your flashlight

cn_LS - Mainly used for moving your character, but also used to switch levers, and keeping your balance

cn_RS - Mainly used for moving the camera, but also used for aiming, keeping your balance, and crawling in some locations

cn_RT - Used for shooting flames during one chapter

--------------------

Adding some useful information that Gannon94 shared in the WT Thread:

Keyboard Controls:

Left Mouse Click - Interact, examine, use, open, hack

Q Key - Have AI put in codes to open doors

R Key - Toggle your flashlight

WASD - Mainly used for moving your character, but also used to switch levers, and keeping your balance

Mouse - Mainly used for moving the camera, but also used for aiming, keeping your balance, and crawling in some locations

Left Mouse Click - Used for shooting flames during one chapter

On PC, Copy a save is the C key
The game is more prone to crashes on Low Graphic settings. If the game crashes for a shader issue while on Low Graphics, you must change to Medium Settings before reloading your save or it will crash again and again. Enabling V-sync will also stop your GPU going into overdrive.

Select Start Game and select Load Game on Slot 1

Once the opening credits and cutscenes have finished, you’ll take control of Adie. After your AI, Allen, says “You’ll have to pull the manual release”, look at the Manual Release on your right and press cn_A to grab the lever, followed by holding cn_RSd to pull the lever.

Using cn_LS, start walking into the direction of the blip on your Comms Device. Stay on the right side a bit, and once you pass through the big rocks for the first time, you’ll see a waving antenna in front of you. Walk over and examine with the Station by pressing cn_A.

Continue straight past the Station and keep following your blip. Cross the bridge that's found straight after you pass between two big rocks again. After the bridge, climb the Wall by using cn_A. Once you made it up the Cliff, cross the bridge on the right side. After the corner to the left, press cn_A to examine the Rock Pile, unlocking:

From the Rock Pile, continue slightly to the right until you see another bridge. When you try to cross it, the bridge will collapse, making Adie fall to a path below. Once you regain control, follow the linear path for a bit until you can squeeze through the opening by using cn_A. When you made it through, turn slightly to the left and move forward. You’ll quickly see another Station that you need to interact with, using cn_A. As you do so, you’ll unlock:

Elementary, my dear Watson

Examined both Weather Stations

Elementary, my dear Watson

Continue to the right of the Station and follow the path until you walk under some arch made of rock. Continue until you see a second arch. Once you pass that, you’ll see a ladder, and the next achievement will unlock:

Hello there

Found Grace Spire

Hello there

You can interact with the ladder, but it’s not required, so turn right and walk until you see an Exhaust Port. Use cn_A to jump over to the Exhaust Port. Once you’re in the tunnels, go right at the first intersection. Go left at the second and use cn_A to duck under the Crawl Space. Once prompted, use cn_Y to turn on your flashlight. Look down, and use cn_A to enter the Shaft. Hold cn_RSu to shuffle forward.

Once you make it down, go right and at the next intersection, go left. Go right at the next one and straight across the next intersection. At the next one (where you’re facing a Vent Fan), go right. Halfway down the path, there will be an interruption of the pipes. Look left here and press cn_A to squeeze through the Gap. Continue forward and use cn_A to duck under the Crawl Space. Continue left, directly followed by a right, and you’ll see a Broken Fan. Use cn_A to examine it. Use cn_A again to crawl through. Go forward, look down a bit and examining the Shaft with cn_A. Use cn_A again to jump down. Move forward and use cn_A to enter the Shaft, followed by cn_LSu to shuffle forward.

Walk forward towards the green Console in the middle of the room and once you stand in the middle of it, you’ll unlock:

This means something

Found source of signal

This means something

Examine the Console using cn_A. Once the conversation is over, use cn_A again to run a scan on the Console. After some more conversation, use cn_LS to move the gyroscope on your Comms Device to a position that will make all bars light up. Do this two more times.

Meet Logic (she’ll be named later on, but I’ll refer to her as Logic as of the start), one of the base's AI. During the conversation, turn around and move towards the door behind you. Open the Floor Panel with cn_A and then alternate cn_LSl and cn_LSr to ratchet the Winch until the door is completely opened. Adie will close the Floor Panel herself. This will unlock:

After you see the load/save animation in the top-right, press cn_start and Quit to the Main Menu. Choose Start Game, and then use cn_X to copy your save into Slot 2. Don’t touch or overwrite this save as we need it for a (partial) second playthrough to get three more achievements in the end. Once copied, select load game for Slot 1 to continue on your main save.

After your save is loaded, you’ll be at the Console again. Turn around and move towards the door (past the Floor Panel where you used the Winch). Use cn_A to examine the Security Panel. After the instructions, use cn_A again to use the Security Panel. You’ll need to toggle the buttons so that a pattern appears. Fortunately, Logic will tell you what the pattern is, albeit a little cryptic at first, but she’ll give more hints eventually. For the first Security Panel, you’ll need to illuminate a square of nine lights right in the centre. Use cn_LS to select a Button and cn_A to toggle the Button. See the image below for reference:

Now that the door is open, enter it, and follow the path down some stairs. Enter the Shaft Lift and press the Shaft Lift Button on the left side to move the lift. Once the elevator stops moving, exit on the right side and continue down the path. Press cn_A to examine the Power Station Door and enter the Power Station. You’ll be greeted by a different AI, Control. Move down the stairs during the conversation. Although Control can be quite demanding in what he wants you to do, go to the right once you made it down and use cn_A to examine the Crates. Move in between the Crates and examine the Open Crate. This will unlock:

Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn

Ignored Control's instruction

Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn
2 guidesOffline Mode - These achievements require play in game modes that do not necessitate a connection to any online services.Single Player - These achievements can be obtained by a single player.Missable - These achievements can be missed.

Next, leave the crate area, and move to the other side of the room by going down, and then up some stairs. There are more things you can examine here, but we’ll skip them as they are not required. Instead, move to the three Generators at the far side and use cn_A to prime them. Pull down on cn_LSd three times and repeat the same process for the other two Generators.

After the Turbine fails, move towards the small Lift that goes down to the Turbine area. Use cn_A on the Lift Button to call the lift. Enter it, and the Lift will go down automatically.

On either side of the Generator are two levers. Use cn_A followed by cn_LSd to release the Turbine Latch. Do this for the other lever as well.

Ride the Lift back up and move towards the magnetic Crane opposite of the Generators. Use cn_A to board the crane, and then use cn_LS to move the crane over the old Turbine. Press and hold cn_A to lower the magnet until it latches onto the Turbine. Release cn_A and the Turbine will be lifted. Move to the empty spot on the left, hold cn_A to lower the Turbine and release cn_A to raise the magnet. Now, use the same controls to pick up and pace the new Turbine.

After you regain control of Adie, leave the Power Station the same way you came in. Enter the Shaft Lift and, once you can, press cn_A on the Shaft Lift Button to start the Shaft Lift. Leave the lift on the left side and follow the path back up the stairs.

Keep walking forward, past the Console, straight to the door across the room. Logic will kindly illuminate the door for you. Use cn_A to use the Security Panel. This time, you’ll need to illuminate a big X on the panel. See the image below for reference:

Enter the door and keep following the path until you reach a big room. There’s plenty to examine here, but we’ll ignore it and continue up the stairs on the right towards the Airlock Door. Use cn_A on the Airlock Button to pressurize the Airlock.

After the conversation, and when the door opens, move forward into the Zen Garden. Meet Empathy, the AI that will set up lighting and oxygen for you. Keep right and walk towards the big Lantern in the Garden. After Empathy asks you if you recognize an object, use cn_A to examine the Lantern. After this, make sure you’ll interact with the other items in this section as well, being the Metal Object, the Plinth, the Statue, and the Carving. After interacting with all five items (for me it actually unlocked after four items), you’ll unlock:

I'm curious what makes you so curious

Examined all items in Zen Garden

I'm curious what makes you so curious

Next, move towards the flowers left from the stairs. After some conversation, you’ll need to pick a flower that best represents you. I’m not sure if the choice matters for an upcoming achievement, but to be sure, pick the Purple Flower, like I did during my playthrough.

Turn around and move towards the centre of the pergola. Adie will sit down automatically and remove her helmet. When prompted to take a breath, hold cn_A and keep holding it, even when Empathy tells you to release. Just keep holding cn_A until Adie exhales automatically, and you’ll unlock:

Follow Empathy’s instructions to do two more breaths (hold cn_A until she tells you to release). After the breathing exercise, you’ll need to tap cn_A to raise yourself up towards the sky. After that, Adie will stand up and you’ll need to use cn_LSl and cn_LSr to balance yourself. When Adie moves to the left, slightly use cn_LSr and when she moves to the right, lightly use cn_LSl.

After this mind cleansing yoga session, move towards the stairs just behind you, next to where you picked the flower, and move up until you reach another Airlock. Use cn_A on the Airlock Button to pressurize.

Move to the next area and go into the small room on the left side. Exit out the other side, and use cn_A to interact with the first Welders Jetpack you see. This will unlock:

No disassemble!

Discovered evidence of scavenging

No disassemble!

Go back into the little room, and use cn_A to examine the Controls. After some conversation, turn around and access the Electrical Panel. Use cn_A to select all five buttons, and then do the same on the five breakers. After some more conversation, and meeting a new AI, Pal, the power is rerouted, and you can flip the five breakers and click the five buttons again to restore power to the Controls. Turn around and move over to the Controls and press cn_A to use them.

After the pod gets stuck, move to the Welders Jetpacks, and examine the 2nd one (Equipment) with cn_A. Press cn_A again to use the Equipment. Press cn_RT to use the Welder. Once Pal opens the fuel throttle, use cn_RT again to see a bigger flame.

After some conversation, Pal will fly you towards the ice. Use cn_RT to melt the ice and cn_LS to control the direction. Use small bursts as that will prevent Pal from losing control. After you’ve cleared the first section of ice, you have to do the same with two more sections. Once all the ice is cleared, move back to the Controls and use cn_A to make the pod go down to the station. This will unlock:

Go inside the pod, and after some loading screen, you’ll end up on a new level of the base. Exit the pod and more down the hallway. Press cn_A to use the next security panel.

For the next achievement, you have to "solve" this security panel without making a mistake. This means you can’t hit a button twice. The symbol you’re after is a backwards Z, taking up the full space of the panel. You must only hit each button once, and it should take no more than 21 clicks to solve this. If you make a mistake, you have a 2nd chance in the 2nd playthrough. Use the below image as reference when solving this Security Panel:

If you made no mistakes, you’ll unlock:

Clever Girl

Solved Security Door with no mistakes

Go through the door, and use cn_A on the Airlock Button to pressurize the next Airlock. Move into the next area and go towards the Security Panel on the other side. Use it with cn_A. After some AI hissy fit, turn left and go around the wall with the two lights on it. Wait until the next AI, Mom, is configured and after the initial talk press cn_A to use the Keypad next to the door. Mom will play the sequence, and you’ll have to repeat it by using cn_LS to select the button, and cn_A to press it. Open and enter the door.

As of now, we’ll interact with everything we can. This seems to be needed for a later achievement. I’ve had some troubles getting this achievement on my first attempt, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of consensus on the requirements, so in order to play it safe, we’ll just interact with everything from now on, until we get that achievement.

Inside the room, examine the Map on the right side. Followed by the Banks and the Missing Bank in the middle, and the console on the left. Use cn_A on the console again to hack it. Like in the beginning, use cn_LS to move the gyroscope on your Comms Device to a position that will make all bars light up. You’ll need to do this four times. Once you hacked the console, you’ll unlock:

I KNOW HIM!

Uncovered Everett's identity

Turn around and examine the map again. Turn right and go towards the balcony and use cn_A on the trellis that is covered in plants. Use cn_A again to start climbing the trellis, followed by cn_LSu to actually climb to the roof.

Look you your left and use cn_A to examine the Beam. After some conversation, use cn_A again to start walking the beam. Use cn_LSu to move forward. After some steps, you’ll fall down (this can’t be prevented). Turn around, climb the trellis and cross the Beam again. This time, when you lose your balance, use cn_LSl and cn_LSr to balance Adie, like you did during our little yoga class in the Zen Garden. Once you regained balance, move forward until you successfully cross the beam.

Enter the apartment, and use cn_A to examine the Floor Feature, the Art, and the Tube Access that is to the right of the Art. Next, move to the hallway and enter the door on your left and examine the Fixture. This will unlock:

Move out of the bathroom and use cn_A on the Door Button to open the front door. Go up the stairs and press cn_A on the next Keypad. Repeat the pattern and enter the apartment. In this apartment, examine the Tube Access again. Go to the balcony and look up until Adie mentions that she doesn’t see a way up. Leave the apartment the same way you came in.

Go up the stairs, unlock and enter the next apartment. In here, examine the Barrels in the corner of the room, after that, examine the Bed. Next, go to the balcony. Press cn_A on the trellis and use cn_LSu to climb up. Once you’re on the next level, ignore Pal’s idea of taking a shortcut.

Instead, move left and open and enter the first apartment on your left. In here, use cn_A to examine the Canister (1/19) that lays below the Tube Access, see image below for reference:

Once yet another AI, Jack, is configured. Examine the Canister again. Once again, move your ball on your gyroscope to fill all bars. For these canisters, you’ll only need to do it once. After you hear the recording, you will unlock:

From here on, you can use cn_B to let Jack input the code for you. Don’t use this option though, instead, input the code yourself!

Leave this apartment and go up the stairs on the left towards the next apartment. Open the door and enter the apartment. Inside, examine the Broken Furnature (typo not mine).

Leave the apartment, go up the stairs and use cn_A to examine the Broken Keypad. Next, enter the apartment and hack the Canister (2/19) that is inside the Tube Access:

After the recording finishes, examine the Art and then move to the balcony. Once again, climb up the trellis.

Once you’ve made it to the third floor, turn left and unlock and enter the apartment on your left. Inside, hack Canister (3/19) on the floor and Canister (4/19) inside the Tube Access:

Exit the apartment and go up the stairs on the left.

Unlock and enter the next apartment and inside, examine the Scarf. Next, hack Canister (5/19) on the floor and Canister (6/19) inside the Tube Access:

Before leaving this apartment, enter the bathroom, turn on your flashlight with cn_Y and once in the bathroom, turn slightly to the right to see Canister (7/19) laying on the floor:

Leave this apartment and go up the stairs on your left. Just before the next apartment, look carefully in the planter to find Canister (8/19):

Continue where you were heading before finding that Canister, and open and enter the next apartment. Inside, examine the Portrait on the furniture and then look on the bed to find, and hack, Canister (9/19) and Canister (10/19):

Although you now know who Everett is, or was, we are not quite finished here. Leave this apartment, go down the stairs opposite of the apartment you just exited, and open and enter the next apartment. Once you go in, Control will turn off the lights, so hit cn_Y to turn on your flashlight. This will unlock:

Proceed inside the apartment, and you’ll find Canister (11/19) on the floor, and Canister (12/19) in the Tube Access. Hack both of them:

Once done, turn around and examine the Art. Next, leave this apartment and go once more down the stairs and open and enter the last apartment, on your right. Inside this apartment, examine the graffiti on the windows, there are three different windows to examine, the others cannot be examined. Once you’re done with the graffiti, you’ll find Canister (13/19) on the floor, and Canister (14/19) inside the Tube, but a bit higher than where they usually were:

While examining this room and hacking the Canisters, Jack will mention this is the last room, and you’ll unlock:

You call this archaeology?

Leave the last apartment and go down the stairs on the left. Examine the Security Panel next to the big doors. For this last Security Panel, you need to highlight just the corners of the panel:

Enter the doors you just opened, and use cn_A on the Elevator Button to call the elevator. Enter the elevator and the screen will go black for a bit, showing a loading animation. Once the image returns, there’s some conversation until the elevator stops and the doors open. Exit the elevator.

Proceed to the other end of the church. At pulpit, go all the way right and examine the Fire Pit, the Bedding and the blue barrels of Food. Turn the camera right and examine the Graffiti. Go back towards the pulpit and examine the damaged Wish Canisters on the floor on the right ride. Look up and examine the Cracks in the window. Next, go to the other side, past the pulpit and examine the Graffiti. Go back to the other side again and use cn_A to climb the Debris Pile. Use cn_A again to climb the next pile, and once more cn_A to climb until you are on the next floor.

Examine the Lightpost here, followed by the Pulpit in the middle. Go back and move behind the pulpit to examine the Camp, the Graffiti, and the Boxes. After a brief conversation, you’ll unlock:

Turn on your flashlight with cn_Y and squeeze through the Gap using cn_A. Walk a bit forward and then look left, and right, to interact with the two Statue Plaques that are there. Move forward and look left and right again for two more Statue Plaques. Look down the path you’re going, and you’ll find Canister (15/19) on the floor:

First, examine it, and then use cn_A again to hack it and listen to the recording. After it finishes, continue forward and examine the Barricade. Next, duck under the Crawl Space. In the next area, examine the graffiti on the right, as well as the Air Tanks on the floor.

Before entering the small hallway, you’ll find Canister (16/19) on the left. Hack it:

Continue down the hallway until you reach an airlock. Once your helmet is on, use cn_A on the Airlock Button to pressurize the Airlock. Enter the funicular and use cn_A on the Controls on the right side. After you find out that the funicular doesn’t work, Control will give you an option to consider. After he’s done talking, it’s time to set up another savepoint for some later achievements.

Press cn_start and Quit to the Main Menu. Choose Start Game, and then use cn_X to copy your save into Slot 3. Once copied, select load game for Slot 1 to continue on your main save.

You’ll be in the funicular again. Turn to the left, and examine the Broken Window in the funicular, as well as the Airlock Hatch in the hallway outside the funicular. Use cn_A again with the Airlock Hatch to open it. To unstick it, you’ll need to tap cn_A repeatedly.

Use cn_A to Enter the Storm. Follow the linear path until you’ll end up at a structure from the funicular tracks. Wait until your conversation with Allen is over, and Mom shows up asking you to reconsider jumping. Follow Mom’s advice, and turn right, dropping down towards a Path.

Follow this linear path, but make sure to keep your eyes out for things to examine. The first option is an Etching on a rock on the right side of the path. Examine it. Continue forwards and once you go through a narrower path, there’s another Etching on a rock on the left side. Examine this as well. Continue the path. When you are at a fork in the road, take either path as they will end up at the same spot again. You’ll walk into a Rock Pile consisting of 5 square rocks stacked on top of each other. Examine the Rock Pile. Once again, continue down the path. Once Mom asks about your parents, Adie should give an honest answer (considering that we bonded with Mom due to all the extra examining we did before). If Adie mentions what happens to her parents, you’ll unlock:

As you continue down the path, you’ll need to climb up a ledge with cn_A. A couple steps further, there’s a second ledge to climb up to. Continue the path ahead. Once you are near the end of the path, there’s a ladder structure in front of you. Use cn_A to open the Override and cn_A to use the Override. If you need help solving this puzzle, see below:

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Once the ladder comes down, you’ll unlock:

Use the ladder with cn_A and use cn_LSu to climb up. Once you’re all the way up, turn left and open the Airlock Hatch. Go inside and the screen will fade. Once the image is back, the next room will open automatically.

Go down the hall and go inside the second room on the right. You’ll find Canister (17/19) on the bed:

Examine it, then hack it and listen to the recording. You can examine the bed and the room afterwards, but this is not required. Exit the room and go further down the hall. Enter the last room on your left and use cn_Y to turn on your flashlight. Inside this room, you’ll find Canister (18/19):

Examine it, hack it, listen to the recording, and leave the room. Finally, go to the end of the hallway and inspect the Relief on the left side. Use cn_RSu and cn_RSd to examine the following sections: Human Figures (bottom), Triangle Symbol (middle), Figure Symbol (top), followed by the Ring Symbol (slightly below the top) that now became examinable. Do a 180 and move to the other Relief. Use cn_A to inspect it, followed by using cn_RSu and cn_RSd to examine the following sections: Human Figures (bottom) and the Writing (top). After you regain control of Adie, examine the door. When prompted, use cn_A to speak to the door, you’ll need to do this twice. This will unlock:

Next, use the lever on the right side of the Device. This will make a ball come down from the ceiling. Examine the Cavity on the left side of the ball. Return to the Device (DO NOT press the button on the left side), and use the lever on the right side again, then quickly move back to the Cavity and use cn_A to climb in. Once you rode to the top, you’ll unlock:

Press cn_B to exit the Cavity. Use cn_A to jump to the closest platform, and then keep jumping across the platforms until you reach the centre, larger, platform. There’s only one platform you can jump to at a time, so you won’t get lost.

Once on the centre platform, examine the Machine. After that, examine the Generator that is illuminated with green light. Use cn_A to use the Generator, followed by cn_LSd three times (or hold it) to prime the Generator. You’ll need to prime three times here. After priming, look around to find the misaligned Energy Beam (the one that’s not firing towards the spiked orbs on the centre platform). Jump from platform to platform towards the misaligned Relay. After some jumps, you’ll end up next to a beam you need to cross. Examine the Beam, and after some conversation, use cn_A again to cross the beam while Pal will block the energy for you. Halfway through, use cn_LSl and cn_LSr to balance yourself. Jump down to the platform with the Relay and examine it with cn_A. Pres cn_A again to use the Relay and use cn_RS to aim for the spiked orb. Once done, you’ll unlock:

Jump across the platform on the other side, back to the centre platform. Move to the green lit Generator, and use cn_A to use the Switch next to it. Use cn_LSu to raise it.

Find the next Generator, which is illuminated in blue, and prime it using cn_A first, followed by cn_LSd three times per prime. There are three primes needed. Walk around the platform and look around until you see a smoking Relay. Jump from platform to platform using cn_A until you reach the Relay. Use cn_A to open and use the Override. Once again, you’ll have to put in a number, 113 this time. For help, see below spoiler:

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

This will unlock:

Jump across the platforms, back to the centre platform. This time, it’s the same way you came from. Go back to the blue lit generator and Examine the Switch next to it, followed by another cn_A to use the Switch, and cn_LSu to raise it.

Move to the third and final generator, illuminated in red, and prime the Generator the same way you did with the other two. This last one just works and doesn’t require any extra work. So, move over to the Switch and cn_A to use it. As you can’t raise the Switch with cn_LSu, you need to tap cn_A repeatedly to finally raise the Switch. Once you succeed, you’ll unlock:

It's alive! It's alive!

Activated Grace

It's alive! It's alive!

After some conversation with Grace, move around the platform until you see a small lift. Use cn_A to ascend, and as you do, some conversation, and afterwards, as the credits start rolling, you’ll unlock the achievement for reaching the Good Ending:

DO NOT SKIP THE CREDITS!

Let them roll out until a cutscene starts, involving your own ships AI, Allen, if all by himself now. Let the scene play until you unlock:

Give her another 20 minutes, but that's it

Witnessed Allen's fate

This is the end of the main playthrough where we got most of the story, collectible, and miscellaneous achievements. You should be at 29/35 achievements now. The next pages will describe how to unlock the rest, by going back to the saves we made earlier.

From the main menu, choose Start Game, and load Slot 2 (2: The Control Room)

For this playthrough, we need to follow Control’s instructions. Meaning we must do immediately what he said, without anything extra. I will highlight this as we proceed, but let me sum it up really quick:

Hide ads
  • In the Control Room, we must prime the generators without examining anything else
  • When replacing the turbine, be quick, don’t make any mistakes or take too long as Control will start to make remarks, and you’ll lock yourself out of the achievement
  • After searching the apartments and finding out who Everett was, don’t do any further examining; go straight to the control panel of the door, you can now open it
  • In the church, don’t examine anything
  • At the funicular, you must throw away your device
  • In the Keepers room, you must not investigate, but go directly to the console and use the button on the left site

On we go! Instructions for this playthrough will be briefer than for the first one, considering you know what you’ll be doing now.

After your save is loaded, you’ll be at the Console again. Turn around and move towards the door Examine the Security Panel and once you can, solve it by illuminating the nine squares in the middle. See the image below for reference:

Go through the door and follow the path down some stairs. Enter the Shaft Lift and press the Shaft Lift Button on the left side to move the lift. Exit on the right side and continue down the path. Press cn_A to examine the Power Station Door and enter the Power Station. You’ll be greeted by a different AI, called Control. Move down the stairs during the conversation.

Don’t interact with anything here. Go straight across towards the three generators

At the generators, use cn_A to prime them. Pull down on cn_LSd three times and repeat the same process for the other two.

After the Turbine failed, move towards the small Lift that goes down to the Turbine area. Call the lift and enter it so that you ride down.

On either side of the Generator are two levers. Use cn_A followed by cn_LSd to release the Turbine Latch. Do this for the other lever as well.

Move quickly when removing the old turbine and placing the new one

Ride the Lift back up and move towards the magnetic Crane opposite of the Generators. Use cn_A to board the crane, and then use cn_LS to move the crane over the old Turbine. Press and hold cn_A to lower the magnet until it latches onto the Turbine. Release cn_A and the Turbine will be lifted. Move to the empty spot on the left, hold cn_A to lower the Turbine and release cn_A to raise the magnet. Now, use the same controls to pick up and pace the new Turbine.

Leave the Power Station. Ride the Shafe Lift again and follow the path back up the stairs.

Keep walking forward, past the Console, straight to the door across the room. Use cn_A to use the Security Panel. This time, you’ll need to illuminate a big X on the panel. See the image below for reference:

Enter the door and keep following the path until you reach a big room. Don’t examine anything and continue up the stairs on the right towards the Airlock Door. Use cn_A on the Airlock Button to pressurize the Airlock.

Walk into the Zen Garden. Keep right and walk towards the big Lantern in the Garden. After Empathy asks you if you recognize an object, use cn_A to examine the Lantern. After this, don’t interact with any more items.

Instead, move over to the flowers next to the stairs, and pick one you like. After that, go to the pergola and follow Empathy’s instructions for the breathing exercise (no need to hold your breath this time), raise your hands, and the balance exercise.

Once that’s done, move up the stairs next to where you picked the flower. Pressurize the Airlock and move to the next area. Go directly to the little control room and examine the Controls. Turn to the left and move to the Electrical Panel and interact with it when you can. Press the 5 buttons, and then flip the 5 breakers. Once Pal is there and after he reroutes the power, flip the breakers again, followed by pressing the buttons.

Use the Controls again, and after the pod gets stuck, walk back, past the Electrical Panel and examine the second Equipment twice to put it on. Use the welder gun and after Pal adds more fuel, use it again. After you start flying, use the welder gun to melt the three sections of ice.

Once done, examine the Controls again to bring down the pod, and enter the pod. Once you can exit the pod, do so, and move down the hallway towards the next security panel.

If you previously missed the “Clever Girl” achievement for solving the security panel without mistakes, here’s another chance

You have to "solve" this security panel without making a mistake. This means you can’t hit a button twice. The symbol you’re after is a backwards Z, taking up the full space of the panel. You must only hit each button once, and it should take no more than 21 clicks to solve this. Use the below image as reference when solving this Security Panel:

Enter the Airlock and pressurize it. Go into the next area and interact with the Security Panel ahead. Wait until the AI are done talking and turn to the left and around the corner of the wall with the two lights on it. Interact with the Keypad and enter the room.

In this room, examine the Map, then turn around and examine the Console. Hack the console and use your gyroscope to move the ball so that all bars light up. Repeat three more times. After that’s over, interact with the map again and leave this room through the balcony.

Examine the trellis, and use cn_A again to start climbing. Use cn_LSu to climb up. Once up, look to the left and examine the Beam. Use cn_A again to cross it with cn_LSu. Whoops, you fell again, didn’t you? Turn around and climb the trellis back up. Cross the beam once more. When you start losing your balance, slightly move cn_LSl and cn_LSr to keep your balance. When you’re good to go, cross the rest of the beam.

Enter the apartment and go straight to the front door without examining anything. Unlock the door and move up the stairs. Ignore the first apartment on your left and move up the second stairs. Use the keypad and enter the code. Enter this apartment. Go straight to the balcony and climb the trellis.

Now that we already got the achievement for listening to Mom, this time, we can take a little bit more risk. So, move straight forward (towards the flag) and interact with the beam to cross it. You’ll lose balance twice this time, and it’s a bit more intense than the first beam, but just use cn_LSl and cn_LSr to balance yourself. Once you made it to the other end, you’ll unlock:

Get busy living or get busy dying

Used the Beam as a shortcut

Get busy living or get busy dying

As you are going through apartments hacking Wish Canisters, you’ll eventually find out about who or what Everett was. This seems to be random, as the 2nd time I went straight for the canister that told me that in the first playthrough, but that time it was a completely different recording. It seems that the “Everett recording” will happen at the 6th or 10th Canister (very random). Just keep hacking Canisters until you hear about Everett, and then don’t hack any more Canisters!

Climb the trellis ahead of you and go up the stairs on your left. Unlock and enter the apartment and inspect the Wish Canister on the floor. Once Jack is there, hack the Canister and after the recording played, hack the 2nd Canister inside the Tube Access.

Leave the apartment and go up the stairs. Unlock the next apartment, this time, you can let Jack to the honours by using cn_B. This apartment will have two Canisters to hack. One in the Tube Access, and one on the floor right from the first one. For me, this last one mentioned Everett (it was the 6th one I opened because I started at the apartment all the way on the top, with the two Canisters on the bed).

Now that Everett has been mentioned, leave the apartment and go down to the Security Panel. Examine it, and enter the code by illuminating the four corners of the panel:

Go into the next area, call the elevator, and enter it. Once you can, leave the elevator and move to the other side of the church. Don’t examine anything, just move towards the Debris Pile to the right of the pulpit and climb it. Climb once more, and then a third time until you are on the next floor.

Move to the area behind the pulpit and squeeze through the Gap. Move forward and duck under the Crawl Space (toggle your flashlight with cn_Y if you find this part too dark). Once through, move towards the Airlock and pressurize it.

Enter the funicular and examine the controls on the right. After Control is done talking, turn around and examine the Broken Window in the funicular. Then, examine the Airlock Hatch outside of the funicular.

If you forgot to make a save at this location during the first playthrough, do so now, as it’s your last chance (unless you really want to do a third playthrough. Press cn_start and Quit to the Main Menu. Choose Start Game, and then use cn_X to copy your save from Slot 2 into Slot 3. Once copied, select load game for Slot 2 to continue on your main save

If you loaded your game, examine the Broken Window and the Airlock Hatch again, and then return to the Broken Window and use cn_A twice to Throw Away Device. This decision will unlock:

Wilson!

Cast away Device

Wilson!

Ride the funicular all the way up, and the next Airlock will automatically open. Go to the end of the hallway and inspect the Relief on the left side. When prompted, use cn_A to speak to the door.

Once you’re in the Keepers Chamber, head over to the Device in front of you. Wait until Control arms the mechanism, and then examine the Beacon Button on the left. You have to use cn_A a couple of times until you finally press it. Once you do, the final scene and conversation for the "Bad Ending" will play, and you will unlock:

It is your destiny

Followed Control to the End

It is your destiny

This is the end of the 2nd, partial playthrough. You should be at 32/35 achievements now. All that remains is loading one final save to get the last three achievements, which should be pretty quick.

From the main menu, choose Start Game, and load Slot 3 (4: The Temple)

For these three last achievements, we need to take the outside route, and then not the safe path like Mom would want, but the other route, which has some risks, as Pal seems to like. This part will only take a couple of minutes.

Once your save loads, you’ll be inside the funicular again. Turn around and examine the broken window. Outside the funicular, examine the Airlock hatch and then again to start opening it. Tap cn_A to open the door and then cn_A to Enter Storm.

Follow the linear path through the storm. After the conversation with Allen, you’ll end up at a large pillar. Move closer until Mom mentions you considering to climb it. Next, move to the beam on the right side of the pillar and examine it to start crossing the beam. Once more, use cn_LSu to move forward, and once you start losing your balance (this will happen twice on this beam), use both cn_LSl and cn_LSr to keep your balance. Once you made it to the other end, you’ll unlock:

Once crossed, turn left and move around the pillar and up the ladder. On the next platform, turn around and move towards the back of the next pillar and examine the Gap. Wait until the AI is finished talking, and use cn_A again to attempt the Jump. Once you see the result of your attempt, you’ll unlock:

Tis but a scratch!

Once you’re in control of Adie again, walk towards the Ledge and climb it. Turn to the left and climb again. Turn left once more and climb, so you’re back at a pillar again. Next, follow the path to the right and upwards. Keep walking, make some turns, walk, turn again, until you end up at the emergency escape ladder. This time don’t use the Override. Instead, follow the path to the right of the ladder, further up the mountain. Go all the way up until you’re under a low ceiling. Here, on your left side, look at the ladder until Adie and Pal talk about it. Move the camera down to find an Ice Pile. Use cn_A to pick up some Ice and throw it towards the latches that hold the ladder. As it took me a bit to find out what I actually needed to hit, here’s a picture for you:

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Walk the path down until you see another Ice Pile. Repeat the same process of hitting the latches:

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Once the ladder is all the way down, you’ll unlock the final achievement of this game:

If came here just for the achievements, you can close the game and this walkthrough now. Thanks for reading and using my walkthrough!

However, if you want to spend 10 more minutes and see the third ending, have a look at the next page.

There's a third ending to this game, we'll call it the "Very Bad Ending". If you're curious, you can reload save Slot 3 that starts at the funicular. This time, keep your Comms Device and leave through the Airlock Hatch. Take the outside route until you make it to the Keepers Chamber. This time, while still having your Comms Device, also choose to press the Beacon Button on the left side of the device.

Also, as you might have noticed by now, each achievement is a quote from a book or movie. However, contrary to popular belief, the quote "Hello there", does not originate from ManicMetalhead when he welcomes new users on the TrueAchievements Discord server.
