Fable II Walkthrough
So, as soon as the game begins and you have control of your hero, you will see some random chickens around the town; now guess what you have to do... Yes, you have to kick one. Proceed by approaching a chicken and pressing A to kick it and the achievement is yours.
Note: You may not get this on your first attempt since you have to kick the chicken around 10 feet in length. If the achievement doesn't pop, repeat the process; poor chicken...
This achievement is story-related and cannot be missed but I'll explain it anyway. At the start of the game you will be a child and you'll be with your older sister, together you must collect 5 gold pieces to continue in the game, the tasks are as follows:
- Collect 5 arrest warrants.
- Pose for a photo.
- Clear out the warehouse from the bug infestation (with your toy gun).
- Collect the drunks booze.
- Deliver the love letter.
Once complete, purchase the music box for 5 gold pieces.
Sacrifice ten people in the Temple of Shadows, or see another Hero do so.
This achievement is missable! Do NOT start the quest "Temple of Light" before you've gotten this.
For this one you have to sacrifice 10 people to the Temple of Shadows. If you are about to start the quest "Temple of Light" and you still don't have this achievement, stop whatever you're doing, as accepting and finishing the quest will disable this achievement (for this save, you can start a new save and do it again, of course). Find the Temple of Shadows located in Rookridge. Outside you should see a man which will give you a quest to see if you're evil enough to join their cause. Your quest: eat 5 crunchy chicks infront of him. Do this, and you will be a proud member of evil.
Walk down the stairs, and you will see a circle mounted on the wall. In front of it you will have a platform where you need to bring the people to. Simply go to any crowded town, like Bowerstone Market, start dancing in the centre of the town and people will start gathering around you. Once a few of them love you, tell them to follow you. When you have 10 or more followers, quick-teleport to the Temple of Shadows (you'll find this under the Rookridge area). Once there, run up to the lever that you'll find to the right of the mounted thingy, and pull it. This will sacrifice everything in the platform behind you, giving you the achievement. Another way you could do this in is to join someone who has this achievement, and see them sacrifice ONE person, unlocking the achievement for yourself. This achievement is part of the storyline and cannot be missed.
Defeat Thag and his waves of bandits outside Bowerstone to unlock this. This achievement is part of the storyline and cannot be missed.
Recruit Sister Hannah to your cause and this will unlock. This achievement is part of the storyline and cannot be missed.
Recruit Garth to your cause and this will unlock. This achievement is part of the storyline and cannot be missed.
Recruit Reaver to your cause and this will unlock.
Kill a sweet, innocent, fluffy bunny rabbit (remember, safety's off!)
Find a Rabbit, bring up the expressions wheel, click the skull to turn safety off and shoot the Rabbit. Rabbits can normally be found mainly in the Bowerstone Lake region and in the fields at Oakfield.
First things first, you will need to purchase a rubber ball if you don't already have one, so head over to the General Store on the east side of the Bowerstone Market bridge and purchase one (purchase a spade for the next achievement as well). Once you have your rubber ball, bring up the expressions wheel, click on Dog and then fetch to get this achievement.
You need to purchase a spade from the General Store on the east side of Bowerstone bridge. Once you have purchased one, your dog will bark and it will say "dig spot" above his head. Follow him and let him guide you to the spot. Once there, stand next to him and press down on your D-Pad.
The Dog Trainer
Teach your dog a trick, or see another Hero's dog learn one.
Go to the Book store in Bowerstone Market and purchase one of the many dog tricks, and to use it, press Start and go to items, then books/documents and use the trick you purchased on your dog.
Convince a villager to give you a present, or see another Hero do so.
This is a simple achievement to get: in your game, villagers will want to give you gifts. A symbol will appear above their heads when they do; if its greyed out you will need to socialise with them for it to be coloured. Once it's coloured you can press A to receive your gift.
Impress a villager with a perfect expression, or see another Hero do so.
Find a villager, target them and press LT then Y to find out their likes. If they like dancing bring up the expressions wheel and select fun, then dance, but instead of just pressing it, hold the button down, then release it. When the scale is on green, release the button.
String together a full-speed chain attack, or see another Hero do so.
This achievement can be quite tricky; you don't have to attack anyone to get it, all you have to do is string together a chain of attacks. First of all, find an open area where there's no one around, any weapon can be used for this but I personally recommend a Hammer or Mace. Once you're all set, start by pressing X to attack. Try to leave half a second break, then press X to attack again. Repeat the process and eventually you will see a blue 'Swish' coming from your weapon; this means you're doing it right. Once you see this blue 'Swish', speed up by pressing X at a normal pace (faster). It takes between 10-15 swings of the weapon before the achievement pops (this may take a few attempts). I'll link a video below to show you in detail:
Note: This achievement can be done with any weapon.
The Black Knight
Shoot the weapons from a hollow man's hands, blow off his head and then kill him for good!
First of all, upgrade your Dexterous Styles level to 4 to unlock the Sub Targeting skill. Step two is to find a Hollow man. Once you've found one and want to make things easier, use a Time Control spell to slow down time, giving you a great advantage. Then press and hold Y to lock onto the Hollow man and press LT to select the body parts. Start off by shooting his weapons that they hold in each hand. Once you've shot the weapons, mark their head and shoot them there. If, by any chance, that doesn't kill him, finish them off in any way you want.
First of all, get yourself a Blunderbuss. I'd recommend either getting a Master Blunderbuss or the legendary "The Enforcer". Now repeat the same procedure you've executed many times before; make people follow you. Get yourself around 10 villagers from Bowerstone Town Square, for instance (seriously, this town has everything). Once you have those people, turn your safety off and run away from them. They'll follow you, so turn around and fire your Blunderbuss at them. You should kill at least 4 of them, unlocking the achievement. If it doesn't work, try upgrading your Dexterous Styles a couple of levels until you can zoom in your shots. Try again, and it should work.
Take a villager on a perfect date, or tag along to one. Location and expressions are all-important.
This one can prove to be tricky. Walk up to a villager and target them with LT, then press Y to see which gifts, locations and expressions they prefer. Try to adapt to those as much as you can. If someone's favourite place is Fairfax Gardens, for instance, take them there and then either give them the gift they love, or perform the expression they love to see. To be on the safe side, just do both. Gift them and do the expression.
This achievement is for sending a gift to another player over Xbox LIVE (this doesn't have to be a friend). First things first, we'll need to change some settings so we can see everyone's orb online. Press Start > Options > Game > Online Orbs > Everyone.
Now we're all set and we can see everyone's orb. Since this game isn't new and it's aging, I'm quite sure there will be players online, so the best place to find another player (orb) is Bowerstone Market. Once there, locate and approach one of the orbs then continue by pressing LT. You will get options on what to do, so "Press ( A ) to interact" and make your way down to "Gift". Send them anything from one gold to a toy gun; anything you have and don't want. Once the transaction is complete, achievement unlocked.
Succeed at one job to Level 5, or see another Hero do so.
There are many jobs to be taken in Albion. For this achievement you have to go from level 0 to level 5 in the profession of your choice. A couple of jobs that will be available from time to time are jobs such as bartender, blacksmith and woodcutter. For this achievement I recommend you do the blacksmith job. It's all about timing and building up that combo. You level up once you've reached a certain amount of gold gained from your work. Try building up the combo because when you do, your multiplier goes higher as well, resulting in leveling up faster. Be aware though as jobs are not available at all times. Go to Quests/Maps > Jobs to see where and what's available at the time.
A Hero must achieve a high-enough chain while performing a job.
While going for the above achievement, this should come naturally. If not, the requirement for this is that you have to get your gold multiplier up to at least 10. This means no mistakes until the achievement pops which is really easy in my opinion. No-one should have any difficulties with this one.
Seek out the Town criers in the major towns, approach them and then either purchase one or, if you've met the requirements, get one for free.
Make bandits respond to expressions with fear, anger, mirth, and confusion... during combat!
I'm leaving this to the guys over at RoosterTeeth. Basically what needs to be done is to use one expression of each category. The categories are the following: Fun, Flirt, Rude, and Scary. The order shouldn't matter, as long as he gets to taste 'em all!
First, have the Vulgar Thrust expression unlocked. Chances are big that you already have it. If not, purchase this from the bookstore in Bowerstore. The book goes by the name of "The Perv's Handbook". Now, from the menu, go to Clothing -> Outfits -> No Clothes (Yes, I'm being serious, the things we do for achievements...) Now get yourself to a nice place like Bowerstone Market and then start terrorizing villagers with the Vulgar Thrust expression. Eventually someone will be offended and report you. You'll be getting a 10 gold fine for Public Indecency, but also a new achievement!
The Party Animal
Get five villagers drunk in under three minutes, or see another Hero do so.
If you don't have 5 drinks of alcohol (wine or beer, for instance) in your inventory already, get yourself to a pub and purchase at least 5 alcoholic drinks. After that, get 5 people to like you by dancing in the middle of the square in Bowerstore Market, for instance, then proceed to make them follow you. Once you have 5 followers, approach each of them, stand face to face with them, press LT and then press RB to bring up the expression wheel. Select Social -> Gift -> Food and then give the person the alcohol. You now have 3 minutes to do the exact same thing with the other 4 villagers. Because these people are not used to alcohol, all it takes is one glass of whatever you're treating them to make them drunk. Get going, you party animal!
The Pied Piper
Start a party where at least five villagers are dancing, or see another Hero do so.
Purchase a lute from any general store. Once you've acquired the lute, go to a populated area once again (try your luck at Bowerstone Market, near the Town Square.) Pull out your lute and keep playing. Slowly but surely you'll have people gather around you. Some may dislike you at first, but after some time they'll dance like there is no tomorrow! Once you have 5 or more villagers dancing simultaneously, the achievement will pop.
Take part in a debauched bedroom party with several participants.
Find your way to Bloodstone and seek out two hookers. Impress them with expressions and finally use the "Come Back to My Place" expression. Once you've done this to two hookers, find a bed in any of the houses and make it happen!
Reach 100% good or evil, or see another Hero do so.
Either be super-good, or super-bad. It's easiest is to be bad because then you just need to turn your safety off and go crazy on the civilians. If you want to choose the good path, then keep donating to the Temple of Light and to beggars. It seems that donating to beggars earns you more good points. Try mixing the two of them.
Reach 100% purity or corruption, or see another Hero do so.
An easy way of doing this is to buy a house and immediately rent it out. Now adjust the rental price to, depending on if you want to be good or bad, either -60% for purity or +100% for corruption. When this is done, save the game and exit to the Dashboard. Sign out of your account and change the date on your console to several years into the future (2015 should be plenty). Now fire up your game and the achievement will unlock when you've entered the world of Albion. This is also a great way of making quick money.
This may sound really hard because in the beginning of the game you barely get any, but as you proceed, Reknown will come at greater scales. Think of this achievement as the description said: "Complete a lot of side-quests". By doing both main and side-quests you're almost guaranteed to get this achievement. You can also show off your achievements trophies to get smaller amounts of Reknown. This should unlock naturally as long as you complete a lot of quests. The later quests, both main and side quests, will net you thousands of Reknown. Just for beating the game you're given 10,000 Reknown. You can see where I'm going with this.
Start off by finding a cheap house that has a low decoration cost. You'll find many of them in... you guessed it, Bowerstone! Buy that house and redecorate it with 5 star pieces of furniture only. Once you've done that, sell your house and if you're lucky enough, the achievement should pop. As to where to get furniture, there is a store in the town that you're located in, Bowerstone, but there should be another one in Bloodstone. If you need more furniture from the store but they're all out, sleep in a bed (a week should be plenty) and return to the store. It's like you were never there! Re-buy everything and try your luck again.
The Ruler of Albion
Amass a 2.5 million gold real estate empire, or be there when another Hero does.
In order to unlock this you must earn 2.5 million gold's worth of Real Estate. To achieve this you will have to purchase pretty much all the houses, stalls, shops and pubs available. If the total sum is not above 2.5m by the time you've purchased all of these, then see if you can replace furniture in the houses with some of your own. Furniture you've received as quest rewards, as gifts from NPCs or even stolen furniture will do just fine (you pesky thief). Or, if you want this achievement without having to spend a lot of cash and unlocking it in an instant, find someone with Colosseum Model, or someone who can access the Gargoyle Trove. Have them take you there, either by entering - spoiler inbound - the "whirlpool" looking thing underneath the bridge in Bowerstone Market, or by teleporting to the Colosseum with the Colosseum Model (that's an item) and the achievement will unlock straight away for you. It will NOT work if you use the methods in your own game. It has to go through someone else's game.
A Hero must win 500 gold at a pub game in one sitting, having tried each game type at least once.
This is one of the funnier achievements in Fable II. Could it be because I'm a real-life gambler? You'll never find out. Anyhow, let's move on to what matters! For this you have to win 500 gold in one sitting after having tried all of the available pub-games in the game. These fun, little mini-games can be found in the following towns:
- Keystone can be found in "Cow and Corset", located in Bowerstone Market.
- Bloodstone can be found in, you guessed it, Bloodstone.
- Fortune's Tower you'll find in the Westcliff Tavern, as well as in Knothole Island.
- Spinnerbox appears in the Sandgoose Tavern in Oakfield, Lucky Heather Tavern in Rookridge, even the travelling game masters in Brightwood will let you play Spinnerbox, if you didn't piss them off, or even kill them, that is.
Once you've played them all (NOTE: you only need to play each mini-game ONCE, no need to visit each location) it is time to head over to Bloodstone and prepare to unlock your achievement. (NOTE: the following guide comes with a risk, and because it's luck-based, there's nothing me or you can do about it. If you would lose money, the Game master will try to kill you unless you pay him the debt. If you don't want to pay him, simply teleport out of there, sleep in a bed for a couple of days, and it should be all good).
Talk to the Game master to start the game and begin by placing your arch on number 14. After that this is done, move on to the inner betting. Now press A and a note will pop up telling you that you don't have enough chips. The game asks you if you want to borrow chips, press yes. Now, instead of pressing "Quick Chips", go down one option, to "Get Chips", and take the maximum, which is 40,000. Now, with all those chips, the fun part starts. I want you to place a bet on the following tiles: Number 3, 4, 5, 16, 17 18. Once you've placed your final bet on number 18, from where you are, go left and place a bet on each of the tiles, this covers up the following: the three dices with fives, fours, threes and twos, as well as the tile that says "Trips". Once you've done this, press X to roll the dice; tap A if you want to speed up the process. If the dice total sum landed on anything other than what you've chosen, you're doing well.
Repeat this for a couple of minutes. After every roll, hold in RT and see how much you've got on your Total Winnings. (NOTE: Do NOT mix this up with Points Earned, as they're two completely different things!) Sometimes the final sum ends up being one of the tiles you chose; this is where you fall hard. If you find your score to be minus something, quit out, and try again. Quickly though, because the Game master can be pissed and if you aren't fast enough, he won't let you play, instead he'll try to kill you.
There is one a small chance that the total sum with be 3, 4, 5, 16, 17, 18, or trice dice, so don't worry. Keep going until you have 600 in Total Winnings; yes, you read correctly. Somehow the game didn't give me the achievement once I passed 500. I tried multiple times and nothing. Once I reached 600, I quit out and the achievement popped. If you fail and end up with a negative score, don't worry, I've reached above 1,000 in total winnings in minutes. It's really fast and fun, too. If you want, you can do this first, then play all the other pub-games. The achievement will unlock once you've played your final and unique pub-game.
For this one you have to get a co-op combat bonus. It may sound hard and complicated, but it's actually very simple. Either join somebody's game and swing your swords at the same time, or simply plug in two controllers and swing the sword on both controllers at the same time, or try charging up spells, which may be a little easier. When the spell is maxed out, let go of the buttons at the same time, and the achievement should unlock.
Very similar to the one above. Either join someone's game, and try to time the expressions, or use two controllers for a much easier job. Pull up the expression wheel, do an extended expression on both the controllers, when it's full, let go simultaneously, resulting in this achievement.
In the quest "Treasure Island of Doom" you are asked to go into The Sinkhole. Follow the path, and eventually you'll come to an edge, where the only way is down. Dive with the A button to unlock this achievement.
Marry a villager, or attend the wedding of another Hero.
Find someone from the opposite sex and get them to like you (either use expressions or give them gifts). Once they're satisfied with you, buy a ring from any jeweller, the one in Bowerstone Market for instance, and give it to them. Then find a fancy (or ugly) house and set it as a marital house. You are now officially married! Oh yeah, you get this achievement as well!
Get married a second time, whilst already married, or attend the second wedding of another Hero.
Follow the same steps you did for the above achievement, preferably in another town, so that your first spouse won't go like: "How could you!" Once you've gotten married twice, while still being married to your first spouse, the achievement unlocks. Lionhead really wants you to go all nuts, eh?
Have a child, or be there for the birth of another Hero's child.
Once you're married, use the "Come back to my place" expression on your spouse to make them follow you to a bed. Once there, have unprotected sex with them and this should unlock once all the noise is over. Note that this may take a couple of times until it unlocks (the female might not be "in the desired month"). If you are missing this expression, it can be purchased from the Bowerstone Bookstore.
Head over to the Gypsy Camp and get yourself two tattoos. One for the face, and the other for the body. Once you've applied your second tattoo, the achievement will unlock. If you don't want to keep your tattoos afterwards, you can have them removed, for a small fee.
Steal something undetected from a building while there are people nearby, or see another Hero do so.
Steal something without being detected while someone else is around. It's not as hard as it sounds: simply walk into a bar, head upstairs and raid their drawers or cupboards. The achievement should unlock in an instant.
A Hero must kill five human enemies with one spell.
First, get your Inferno level to 5. Getting your Time Control to level 4 is also recommended. When this is done, find a group of bandits; there has to be at least 5 of them. Have them gather around you, fire up your Time Control spell to make time pass in slow-mo (if only this could be done IRL!) and then fire up your level 5 Inferno, frying the flesh and bones of the bandits and granting you this achievement. A great place to find many bandits is in the later waves of the Colosseum.
A Hero must dye their hair black, and wear a black outfit and black makeup.
Dye your hair black, wear black, and have black make-up, that's what you gotta do for this one. The dye we're looking for is called Moonless Midnight Dye and it can be found in the Fiendish Fashions in Bloodstone. After purchasing this, press start, go to Items -> Dyes and then choose to dye everything with your newly bought dye.
Inspire the Bard to compose songs celebrating your great deeds.
Find a Bard in any of the major bars in the game. Approach him and you should get the option to press A to give him 10 gold and have him sing a song about your latest adventures. 5 gamerscore secured.
A Hero must choose 'The Needs of The Few'.
One of these achievements will be granted to you, depending on which ending you choose. I would strongly recommend that you save beforehand, preferably at the part when you stand in the Spire, with two torches on the right side, and two on the left and you see a white stripe going vertically in front of you. Make sure to save BEFORE going up the stairs. Once one of these achievements unlocks, immediately go to the Xbox Dashboard, fire up the game and choose a different ending. Do this with all three endings.
- The first card will revive everyone who died in the making of the Spire, but your dog and family will remain dead.
- The second card brings back your family and dog, but comes at the cost of every innocent soul who died in the making of the Spire.
- The third card won't bring anyone back to life, but it will however, grant you a lot of gold. We're talking about 1 million gold coins.
Get all expressions, pet tricks and abilities, or see another Hero do so.

Or you could simply join someone who has this achievement, let them discard one of their skills and then learn it again. This will instantly unlock the achievement for you.
Fable II has three sets of collectibles. Those are Keys, Hero Dolls and Gargoyles.
Collect all the Hero dolls, or see another Hero collect them.
In total there are six Hero Dolls that you must collect, only one will appear in your game, so to get this achievement you must either trade with another player over Xbox LIVE or set up a boosting session here on TrueAchievements.
To get the hero doll from your game you must head to Westcliff and locate the Shooting Range. Once there, play the game. You get points for hitting the Bandit targets without hitting innocent targets. In order to obtain your Doll you must score a total of between 150 and 175 points, this will net you 2nd prize.
Now the doll you receive will be completely random, so whatever you get on your first try, scoring the same again will only get you a duplicate of the doll you already have. I personally recommend obtaining more than one doll at the shooting range and trading with someone over Xbox LIVE.
Another thing you could do is find someone who has all the dolls, join their game and tell them to buy anything from the store. Somehow this will trigger the achievement to unlock for you.
List of Hero Dolls
- Garth Doll
- Hammer Doll
- Hero Doll
- Theresa Doll
- Reaver Doll
- Lucien Doll
Collect every silver key, or see another Hero do so.
This video guide will show you the keys exact location. Credit goes to ch0colatemilk.
An alternative way of getting this is to join someone who has it. Together, go to the Colosseum and WIN any of the prizes; that is third, second or first. The achievement will unlock once the announcer says: "Third prize!" NOTE: You must've started both of the DLC's!
Here's another great video guide by ch0colatemilk again; credit to him. This video will show you where to find all 50 Gargoyles. Simply shoot them down and they will lead you to the ultimate treasure!
Or you could, once again, join someone's game. That person needs this achievement and the Gargoyle Trove accessible. Either teleport there or enter the whirlpool underneath the Bowerstone Bridge and the achievement will unlock for you.
Congratulations! You've completed Fable II and now have 1,000G! Feel like you want to take on the DLC's? Keep on reading, then!
