Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Welcome to the walkthrough for Counter Strike: Global Offensive. This is the first Counter Strike game to appear on the Xbox 360 and was released onto the Marketplace on 21st August 2012.

Those of you who are familiar with Counter Strike should find this a fairly easy, if extremely time-consuming, completion. For those that are new to the franchise, Counter Strike is a First Person Shooter dating back to 2003 as a Half Life add-on. Many consider it to be one of the greatest in its genre to date. As of writing this walkthrough (October 2012), 23 million units in the Counter Strike franchise have been sold.

Enough with the sales talk, let push on:

This walkthrough will help you to earn all 12 achievements for 400 GamerScore. All 12 of those achievements can be earned either online or offline. It'll save you a lot of time and stress to earn them all while boosting, but if you cannot secure a partner, you can earn them by yourself.

It should be noted that there is an extremely lengthy grind to earn the “King of the Hill” and “God of War” achievements, for playing 5,000 matches of Arms Race or Demolition mode and killing 10,000 enemies respectively.

Within Counter Strike: Global Offensive, there are four different map types:

Defuse: The Terrorists are required to plant a bomb at a designated bomb site. There are usually two bomb sites to choose from. If a bomb is successfully blown, the Terrorists win. If the bomb is defused by a Counter Terrorist, then they will win. Teams can also win by eliminating the enemy team.

Hostage Rescue: The Counter Terrorists are required to rescue a group of civilians (usually four) being held hostage by the Terrorist team. If the Counter Terrorists fail to rescue all of the hostages left alive within the time limit, they will lose. If all hostages are killed, the round will then be decided by process of elimination. Teams can also win by eliminating the enemy team.

Arms Race: Players are required to earn a kill with each weapon. Once a player earns one kill with their weapon they will be “promoted” to the next weapon. Starting with the pistols, through to the machine guns, and ending on the knife. The first player to earn kills with all of the weapons will win. This is the same as the popular “Gun Game” mod for Counter Strike 1.6 (and can also be found in the newer Call of Duty games).

Demolition: This mode is a hybrid of both the Defuse and Arms Race game modes. Each player start with the same, randomly chosen weapon. If they earn a kill with this weapon, they will earn a new, less powerful weapon the next round. Defuse rules apply for this game mode. After 10 rounds, the teams will switch sides. The first team to 11 wins will be the victor.

Currency

A currency system is featured in Counter Strike. You can earn and lose money be performing certain actions during any given round. Each player usually starts a game with $800.

They can earn money by doing the below tasks:

Killing an enemy player.
Completing a round (more for winning a round).
Interacting with hostages (Counter Terrorists only).
Rescuing hostages (Counter Terrorists only).

Players will lose money for doing the following:

Buying weapons and equipment.
Injuring hostages.
Killing hostages.
Killing a teammate.

Hints

Crouching while shooting will improve your accuracy. Your reticule is a good instrument of telling you how accurate your gun will be – The smaller, the better.

Listen out for footsteps to hear your enemies approaching, especially when they’re out of sight. Conversely, make sure you make use of the walk feature (by not pushing fully on the thumbstick), so as to not give away your own position.

Use short bursts. The recoil in this game is very difficult to control, so using short bursts of fire instead of the spray tactic will be a lot more beneficial.

Buy armor. It is imperative as it will absorb a lot more damage than without it. You may be able to withstand a headshot from a weaker gun if you have a helmet on.

Find a gun you like and stick with it. Although there are medals for killing X amount of enemies with each gun, try and find a particular gun that you prefer as you will find yourself a lot more efficient with it. Trying to master every gun is possible, but very time consuming. The more popular guns are the M4A1 (CT), AK-47 (T) and AWP Sniper Rifle.

Switch to the pistol rather than reloading. If you run out of ammo before you've killed your adversary, instead of waiting for the reload, press your Y button and get that pistol out.

Aim for the head. This is true of any Shooter game and doesn't really need to be said any more than this. Even a pistol can get you a one-shot kill if you aim for their noggin.

We don’t have to worry about concentrating on a storyline, as there isn't one. Instead, we’ll crack on with the achievements.

During your time playing this game, you'll be awarded medals for completing certain tasks and objectives. You'll need to earn 100 medals to earn the "Awardist" achievement. You can find more information on earning these medals on the next page of this walkthrough. It is recommended that you open this page in another tab in your browser (click here).

Before we start getting into the meat of the game, it should be noted that you’ll want to concentrate on earning the “Battle Sight Zero” achievement, which requires you to cumulatively kill 250 enemies with headshots. I would say “aim for the head”, but that might come across as condescending. If you plan to play against Bots, set them to Easy difficulty as they give you enough time to train your sights at their head before they decide to shoot at you. This will unlock as soon as you've earned your 250th headshot.

Another cumulative achievement to keep your eye on over time is the “God of War” achievement. This requires you to kill 10,000 enemies. This is a very time consuming achievement and shouldn't be taken lightly. The quickest and easiest method for earning this is to play Arms Race against Easy Bots. You should be able to earn all 27 kills, which is the maximum amount of kills you can earn per game, in roughly 5 minutes. As this is an Arms Race, there is no spawn timer, so no wasted time in Spectator mode. This method can also be used to boost the amount of matches played for the “King of the Kill” achievement (below). Obviously, you can mix up the game types for variety as the 10,000 target is spread across all game modes. This can take anywhere between 20 and 30 hours.

Arguably, the “King of the Kill” achievement will take you the longest amount of time to achieve. It requires you to play 5,000 matches of Arms Race or Demolition. This can be seen as a very dauntless task and will take a lot of time and effort. You could use the tried-and-tested method of just grinding this out while enjoying the game, but not everyone has the same amount of enthusiasm and patience.

The best method asks that you not even be in front of your Xbox. You can be asleep, at work, playing on your Windows Phone, or whatever else you get up to in your leisure time. You merely have to set up a game of Arms Race with the following settings:

Mode: Offline with Bots/Arms Race
Map: Any
Bot Difficulty: Expert

Then, just sit back and watch the ‘matches played’ tally up. You don’t have to worry about setting up a new game as the game will do that for you. You don't even have to worry about your controller turning off, as the game will still continue to play. It is recommended that you do this while disconnected from Xbox LIVE as there have been reports of the game freezing whilst connected. Using this method should earn you roughly 60 games every 8 hours or so, meaning you can earn this in approximately 666 hours.

As of writing this walkthrough (October 2012), the game is awarding two games played for every game you play. Hence, the above methods approximate timing can be halved to ~333 hours.

Now that we have the ridiculous cumulative achievements out of the way, let’s continue...

Load up a game of Arms Race (Offline, against Bots) and make sure the difficulty is set to Easy. Playing in a lower difficulty than this will not unlock any achievements or awards. You can, of course, play on a more difficult setting, but it makes the grind slower and more sadistic and frustrating. You can choose whichever map you like, as they’re all fairly similar in size.

As explained in the “General hints & tips” section of this walkthrough, the aim of Arms Race is to be the first to acquire a kill with each weapon that you are given. It isn't too difficult against bots whose difficulty is set to Easy as they take a few seconds to fire at you, giving you an ample amount of time to set your sights on their faces. You can even ‘spawn camp’ them for easier kills, but be aware that they gain ‘spawn protection’ for a few seconds after they’ve spawned, meaning that they’re invincible and cannot be killed.

Playing through, you should earn the following achievement for “Dominating” an enemy. To dominate them, you simply need to kill any given bot four times without them killing you. You can be killed by any other bot, but not the one you are targeting. If they kill you, the counter will be reset.

After you've killed a few enemies, you’ll get to the shotguns. These are your best chance at earning the “Magic Bullet” achievement. For this, you’ll need to kill an enemy with the last round in your guns magazine. This is possible to do with any weapon, but shotguns are the easiest due to its close-range damage. Get up close to any bot and drive your last shotgun shot (of the magazine) into its face and the achievement should unlock.

Within the same game, you may unlock the next achievement for inflicting 2,500 points of damage. This is cumulative and doesn't have to be done in one game. As each player has 100 health points, so you’ll simply need to kill 25 enemies (assuming you inflict 100% of the damage on them).

Now that you’re familiar with the premise of Arms Race, it’s time we earned the “Rampage” achievement, which requires you to win a game of Arms Race without dying. This can be tough, even against Easy bots as they have a tendency of being ridiculously accurate with their weapons from afar and can catch you unaware. There are a few different methods of earning this:

  • Set up a boosting game here on TA and plan ahead. This is arguably the easiest method if you can find the people.
  • The legitimate way – Using all your skill and guile, you can attempt to tackle this on your own against bots. The easiest map to try this is on Baggage, as it boasts more than a few places to sit and camp and pick off unsuspecting bots.
  • Using the extremely helpful “glitch” which takes the strain of earning this achievement off immediately. Play a normal game of Arms Race on any map you wish. Continue killing enemies and ranking up through the weapons as you normally would until you get to the Knife. Don’t worry if you die, as it won’t matter. Once you get there, don’t kill any enemies with the knife, instead swap teams by using the pause menu. You’ll spawn on the opposite team with the Dual Berrettas. Now it’s simply a case of killing two enemies without dying using the aforementioned Berrettas and a knife. If you do get killed, just switch teams again. Once you've earned the two kills, the achievement will unlock.

To earn the “War Bonds” achievement, you’ll need to accumulate $50,000. Again, this doesn't have to be earned in one game and is cumulative. Playing Competitive or Casual modes will earn you the most amount of cash by killing enemies, winning rounds and completing map objectives. This shouldn't take you too long to achieve while playing against “Easy” bots.

The next achievement you should aim towards earning is the “Expert Marksman” achievement. This requires you to kill an enemy with every weapon that the game has to offer. Playing and winning a game of Arms Race will net you the majority of the weapons, but it doesn't feature the G3SG1, SCAR-20, SSG 08, or the Zeus x27. Note that grenades are not required for this achievement. All the required weapons are as follows (these can also be found on the “General hints & tips” page):

Pistols:

The “First Things First” achievement requires you to kill the entire Terrorist team before the bomb is planted in Online Demolition Mode. One method is to create a boosting session either with your friends or here on TA. Either way, you’ll need 10 people for this to work without any problems. If you can’t find 10 people to boost this with, just make sure that the bots are playing as the Counter Terrorists. Once you have all of your participants, start up a game in Demolition. The recommended map for this achievement is Shorttrain, as it has a few bottlenecks which the Terrorists can funnel through. Make sure you select Counter Terrorists as your team and when the game starts, it’s simply a case of making sure that you kill the entire Terrorist team. Your team mates can injure the opposite, but if they kill anyone then your chance is gone. Also, if you die, you’ll need to try again and it will also void your attempt.

If you don’t have any friends (or at least any with this game) or lack the drive to set up a gaming session, this can actually be obtained on your own (hooray!). Setup a game by using the “Play with Friends” feature and create a Private session. Selecting the map Safehouse is the easier of the maps available as the bots tend to like the shelter of the house. Now it’s a case of waiting until all of the Terrorist bots arrive in the house so that you can pump them full of lead. It may take a few rounds for them to decide to enter the house, so just keep attempting this method until they do.

Next up: Clean Sweep. For this, you need to kill the entire opposing team without any members of your team taking any damage. Again, this can be boosted online, which is ten times easier than attempting this with bots. If you are going to attempt this with bots, you’re going to need plenty of patience and luck.

Setup an Offline, Classic Casual game with bots using the map Dust. Make sure you select the Counter Terrorists as your team and continue playing normally until you have enough money to buy the AWP (Sniper Rifle). Once you have it, make your way towards the tunnel on the left-side of the map. You can either wait for the Terrorist bots to enter the tunnel up on the balcony that overlooks the tunnel, or make your way down to the tunnel itself and pick them off. A few might make the detour up the stairs to the left of the tunnel which means you’ll need to keep an eye out up above the tunnel entrance.

Hopefully your team mates will have gone to the right, meaning that they won’t begin a firefight of their own and consequently taking damage themselves. It may take a few rounds for the Terrorist to work their way down through the tunnel, so keep a hold of your AWP and hope that they do.

If you haven't already earned 100 medals during all of the above, continuing on to the next page may aid you in your progress to earn the last achievement, "Awardist".

Global Offensive introduces a new system to the Counter Strike series in the form of Awards. These work in the same way as achievements do, so you should all be familiar with how they work. You’ll need to earn 100 awards to earn the “Awardist” achievement. There are 167 possible awards to earn which are split into five categories: Team Tactics, Combat Skills, Weapon Specialist, Global Expertise and Arsenal Mode. The awards, along with methods on how to earn them, are listed below:

Team Tactics:

Awardist – Earn 100 awards
Self explanatory.

Someone Set Us Up The Bomb – Win a round by planting a bomb.
You must play as a Terrorist, as they are the only team to utilise the planting of a bomb. You’ll spawn with the bomb, so make your way to a bomb site and plant it. Once it’s down, simply defend the bomb site until it blows.

Rite of First Defusal – Win a round by defusing a bomb.
You must play as a Counter Terrorist, as they are the only team that can defuse bombs. You can purchase a defuse kit to make the defusing of the bomb a lot quicker. Simply wait until the Terrorists have planted the bomb. When they do, kill off any Terrorists near the bomb site and get to defusing the bomb.

Second to None - Successfully defuse a bomb with less than one second remaining.
Same as “Rite of First Defusal”, only you’ll have to time when you start defusing the bomb. Keep an eye on the flashing light on the bomb, until it starts to get faster will help. This will take a few efforts to succeed.

Counter-Counter-Terrorist – Kill a Counter-Terrorist while he is defusing the bomb.
Same as “Someone Set Us Up The Bomb”, only this time, wait until a Counter Terrorist starts to defuse the bomb, then kill him.

Short Fuse – Plant a bomb within 25 seconds
Self explanatory really. Inferno might be a slightly better map to attempt this on, as the bomb site is closer to the Terrorist spawn point.

Participation Award - Kill an enemy within three seconds after they recover a dropped bomb.
Spawn as a Counter Terrorist, then hunt out the bomb handler. Once you've killed him, camp the area where the bomb has dropped, preferably hiding around a corner. Once you see or hear the bomb being picked up, quickly dispose of the new bomb carrier.

Clusterstruck - Kill five enemies with a bomb you have planted.
Spawn as a Terrorist and quickly run and deploy the bomb in either of the designated bomb sites. You’ll then have to play a waiting game and hope that all 5 of the bots are in the spawn area and that none of them defuse the bomb before it blows. This is a lot easier to boost online.

Wild Gooseman Chase - As the last living Terrorist, distract a defuser long enough for the bomb to explode.
Again, this is easier to boost online, as the bots tend to ignore any shots being fired at them when they’re defusing the bomb. Just make sure that all of your Terrorist teammates are dead before attempting this.

Blast Will and Testament - Win a round by picking up the bomb from a fallen comrade and successfully planting it.
When you spawn with the bomb, immediately drop it in the path of one of your Terrorist teammates. If you’re playing with bots, make sure they pick it up. You’ll then need to follow the bomb carrier and hope that they die. When they do, pick up the bomb and successfully plant it at the bomb site.

Defuses Interruptus - Stop defusing the bomb long enough to kill an enemy, then successfully finish defusing it.
Spawn as a Counter Terrorist and wait until the Terrorists set up the bomb. Usually when bots plant the bomb they hang around the bomb site. Try and start defusing the bomb without being noticed by the Terrorists. Once you've started defusing, stop and and look for any remaining Terrorists. Kill one and continue to defuse the bomb

Boomala Boomala - Plant 100 bombs.
Self explanatory. This is cumulative across all game types. Probably easiest, and quickest, against bots in the ‘Demolition’ game type.

The Hurt Blocker - Defuse 100 bombs successfully.
See “Boomala Boomala”

Good Shepherd - Rescue all hostages in a single round.
Office hosts four hostages that you need to rescue. Spawn as the Counter Terrorists and during the first round (pistols only) rush straight towards the Terrorist spawn point. There will be two sets of two hostages. Collect them, then rush back to the Counter Terrorist spawn point to ‘rescue’ them. Easiest against bots.

Dead Shepherd - Kill an enemy who is leading the hostages without injuring the hostages.
This can be difficulty with bots as they have difficulty finding the hostages. Definitely easiest to do online. Just make sure you don’t hit any of the hostages when attempting the kill the Counter Terrorist that’s leading them.

Freed With Speed - Rescue all hostages within 90 seconds.
See “Good Shepherd”

Cowboy Diplomacy – Rescue 100 hostages.
See “Good Shepherd”

SAR Czar – Rescue 500 hostages.
See “Good Shepherd”

Newb World Order – Win ten rounds.
This is cumulative across all game types. This is for winning rounds, not matches.

Pro-moted – Win 200 rounds.
This is cumulative across all game types. This is for winning rounds, not matches.

Leet-er of Men – Win 5,000 rounds.
This is cumulative across all game types. This is for winning rounds, not matches.

Blitzkrieg – Win a round against five enemies in less than thirty seconds.
Easiest against bots. Simply try to eliminate the enemy team as quickly as possible

Mercy Rule – Kill an entire opposing team without any members of your team dying.
If you've managed “Blitzkrieg”, you should earn this at the same time. You should have eliminated the entire enemy team before your team mates even spots an enemy. You can use the method as explained for the “Clean Sweep” achievement.

Clean Sweep - Kill the entire opposing team without any members of your team taking any damage.
See the “Clean Sweep” achievement.

Killanthropist – Donate 100 weapons to your teammates.
Simply drop a gun for your team mates to pick up. Bots won’t pick up any guns, so this will need to be done online. If you have the money, buy as many guns as possible during the “buy” phase at the beginning of the round. Hopefully, your team mates will pick them up.

Cold War – Win a round in which no enemy players die.
Easiest done online when winning a round by either detonating the bomb or rescuing all of the hostages before any enemy has died. Bots tend to be a bit trigger-happy.

War Bonds – Earn $50,000 total cash.
See the “War Bonds” achievement.

Spoils of War – Earn $2,500,000 total cash.
See the “War Bonds” achievement.

Blood Money – Earn $50,000,000 total cash.
See the “War Bonds” achievement.

The Cleaner - In Classic mode, kill five enemies in a single round.
This should be fairly simply against bots.

War of Attrition - Be the last player alive in a round with five players on your team.
I’m sure you’ll be left on your own many times during playing this game. To earn this award you’ll need to be the last left alive on your team and win the round.

Piece Initiative - Win 5 Pistol Rounds in Competitive Mode.
Make sure you and your team win the first round (pistol round) of the game in Competitive Mode. Easiest done against bots.

Give Piece a Chance - Win 25 Pistol Rounds in Competitive Mode.
See “Piece Initiative”.

Piece Treaty - Win 250 Pistol Rounds in Competitive Mode.
See “Piece Initiative”.

Black Bag Operation - Win a round without making any footstep noise, killing at least one enemy.
If you gently push on your joystick, your player will walk. Make sure you keep walking through the entire round, while making sure you also earn a kill and win the round. This is possible to earn against bots (if your team mates haven’t already killed the entire enemy team), but I’d recommend boosting this.

The Frugal Beret - Win ten rounds without dying or spending any cash in Classic mode.
Simple enough. Don’t purchase anything at the beginning of the round, make sure you live and win the round.

Combat Skills:

Body Bagger - Kill 25 enemies.
Self explanatory.

Corpseman - Kill 500 enemies.
Self explanatory.

God of War - Kill 10,000 enemies.
See the “God of War” achievement.

Shot With Their Pants Down - Kill an enemy while they are reloading.
This is pretty much luck-based, although if you’re playing against bots, wait until they’ve fired all of their rounds at you and then kill them immediately afterwards (the bots’ aim is so bad they probably won’t kill you).

Ballistic - In Classic Mode, Kill four enemy players within fifteen seconds.
See “Blitzkreig” above. Just make sure you’re playing in Classic mode.

Variety Hour - Get kills with five different guns in a single round.
This is a tricky one. As soon as you've killed an enemy, pick up his gun. Repeat four more times. If one of your team mates gets a kill, you’ll need to try again, as they won’t be enough enemies to kill.

Battle Sight Zero - Kill 250 enemies with headshots.
Aim for the head!

Shrapnelproof - Take 80 points of damage from enemy grenades and still survive the round.
This really is luck-based. I wouldn't even bother trying to attempt this, so move on.

Blind Ambition - Kill 25 enemies blinded by flashbangs.
Fairly simple. Toss a flashbang towards an enemy (make sure you don’t blind yourself) and kill an enemy immediately afterwards.

Blind Fury – Kill an enemy while you are blinded from a flashbang.
See “Blind Ambition”

Spray and Pray - Kill two enemies while you are blinded from a flashbang.
See “Blind Ambition”

Friendly Firearms - Kill 100 enemies with enemy weapons.
If and when you see an enemy weapon on the floor, pick it up and kill the opposition with it. If you’re playing as a Terrorist, pick up and Counter Terrorist weapons that you stumble upon, and vice-versa if you’re playing as a Counter Terrorist.

Expert Marksman – Get a kill with every weapon.
See the “Expert Marksman” achievement as this will unlock at the same time.

Make the Cut – Win a knife fight.
This requires you to stab (and kill) an enemy whilst they also are also wielding a knife. Finding someone on the opposite team who is running around with just a knife drawn is pretty rare, so this is easiest to earn while boosting with a friend.

The Bleeding Edge – Win 100 knife fights
See “Make the Cut”.

Defuse This! – Kill the defuser with an HE grenade.
See “Counter-Counter Terrorist”. Only this time, kill the defuser with a HE grenade.

Eye to Eye - Kill a zoomed-in enemy sniper with a sniper rifle of your own.
Easily boosted with a friend. Just make sure you are both “zoomed-in” with your sniper rifles. You can also attain this in Arms Race while making sure the AI has levelled up to the sniper rifle ranks. However, there’s no real way of knowing if the enemy is zoomed-in or not.

Sknifed - Kill a zoomed-in enemy sniper with a knife.
See “Eye to Eye”, only this time, knife them in the back! (in the back is optional)

Hip Shot - Kill an enemy with an un-zoomed sniper rifle.
Use either of the semi-automatic sniper rifles for this one. Obviously, don’t zoom in with your rifle and get as close as you can to your enemy to make life easier.

Snipe Hunter - Kill 100 zoomed-in enemy snipers.
See “Eye to Eye”, but you don’t need to kill them with a sniper rifle – any weapon will suffice. They should unlock with natural progression.

Dead Man Stalking - Kill an enemy while at one health.
This one is pure luck. You could try and boost it, but trying to get your friend down to 1hp is probably more difficult than actually doing it without trying.

Street Fighter – Kill an enemy with a knife during the Pistol Round in Competitive mode.
During the first round, the pistol round, holster your knife and try and creep up on any unsuspecting victims. This is more fun than it sounds. Just make sure you’re in Competitive mode.

Akimbo King - Use Dual Berettas to kill an enemy player that is also wielding Dual Berettas.
The easiest method for this is to boost it. You can also earn this in an Arms Race match. Just make sure your enemy and yourself have Dual Berettas equipped.

Three the Hard Way - Kill three enemies with a single HE grenade.
This is heavily luck-based. It’s probably easiest to earn towards the end of a round as the enemy will be weakened.

Death From Above – Kill an enemy while you are airbourne.
What is registered as “airborne” varies. To be safe, jumping from ledges and windows are a better bet than just using the jump button. Your aim will be significantly reduced while you’re in the air, so spraying and hoping that you kill someone relies largely on luck.

Bunny Hunt - Kill an airborne enemy.
Easily boosted with a buddy. Shoot them up a bit before they take the plunge, then when they’re airborne, shoot and kill them.

Aerial Necrobatics - Kill an airborne enemy while you are also airborne.
Very difficult to earn this one. Combine both “Death From Above” and “Bunny Hunt” methods.

Lost and F0wnd - Kill an enemy with a gun they dropped the current round.
Due to the fact that the AI or anyone Online hardly ever drop their guns, this is best boosted. Get your friend to drop his gun. You’ll need to pick up and kill him/her with it.

Ammo Conservation - Kill two enemy players with a single bullet.
If playing Online, this is down to luck. Use an AWP and hope they two enemies are in line with each other. The AWP should be powerful enough to kill them both with a well-aimed shot. Alternatively, you can try and mow down a series of AI’s with a shotgun.

Points in Your Favor - Inflict 2,500 total points of damage to enemies.
See the “Points in your Favor” achievement.

You’ve Made Your Points - Inflict 100,000 total points of damage to enemies.
See “Points in Your Favor”.

A Million Points of Blight – Inflict 1,000,000 total points of damage to enemies.
See “Points in Your Favor”.

Magic Bullet - Kill an enemy with the last bullet in your magazine [excluding sniper rifles and Zeus x27 ].
See the “Magic Bullet” achievement.

Kill One, Get One Spree - Kill an enemy player who has just killed four of your teammates within 15 seconds.
Luck, luck and more luck. There’s not a lot more to say.

Primer - Do at least 95% damage to an enemy who is then killed by another player.
You’ll no doubt earn this during some point while playing online. Again, you’ll just have to hope that there’s at least one player on your team who likes stealing kills from teammates.

Finishing Schooled - Kill an enemy who has been reduced to less than 5% health by other players.
You could call it ‘supporting your team’ or ‘kill stealing’. Either way, do it yourself to earn this one.

Target-Hardened - Survive damage from five different enemies within a round.
Another luck-based one. Pull out your Neo-from-the-Matrix moves for better results.

The Unstoppable Force - Kill four enemies within a single round.
See “Blitzkrieg”.

The Immovable Object - Kill an enemy who has killed four of your teammates within the current round.
Luck-based. Enough said.

Head Shred Redemption - Kill five enemy players with headshots in a single round.
Easiest against the AI. Make sure to, obviously, aim for the head. Sniper Rifles, shotguns or Pistols are probably the better of the weapons to use.

See “Tourist”, this time making sure to win every match.

Rampage! - Win an Arms Race match without dying.
See the “Rampage!” achievement.

FIRST! - Be the first player to get a kill in an Arms Race or Demolition match.
Don’t hesitate when the round starts. Head straight towards the enemy and be the first to earn a kill before anyone else. This is easiest playing with bots.

One Shot One Kill - Kill three consecutive players using the first bullet of your gun in Arms Race mode.
As soon as you level up to the shotguns, get in close to your enemy and aim for a one-shot-kill. Try to do the same for the next set of shotguns to achieve this medal. Aiming for the head makes this easier.

Conservationist - Win an Arms Race match without reloading any of your weapons.
Pretty self-explanatory. If your aim is good enough, this shouldn't pose a problem. If you’re struggling, use your knife for the entirety.

Shorter Fuse - Plant five bombs in Demolition Mode.

Self-explanatory and cumulative.

See the “First Things First” achievement.

Born Ready - Kill an enemy with the first bullet after your respawn protection ends in Arms Race mode.
An AWP or shotgun is best for this. When you die, you’ll need to rely on an enemy being in close proximity to your spawn. If they are, kill them straight away with one bullet.

Base Scamper - Kill an enemy just as their respawn protection ends in Arms Race mode.
Self-explanatory. Just camp the enemy spawn until an enemy spawns. Wait until they aren't faded, then kill them.

Knife on Knife - Kill an enemy who is on gold knife level with your own knife in Arms Race mode.
See “Denied!”, only this time using only your knife. This is risky, as the enemy may kill you which will end the game, so try and kill them from behind.

Level Playing Field - Kill an enemy who is on gold knife level with a sub-machine gun in Arms Race Mode.
See “Denied!”, only this time using a sub-machine gun.

Still Alive - Survive more than 30 seconds with less than ten health in Arms Race or Demolition mode.
As soon as you're under 10 health points, back out of the firefight and run towards your spawn or in a less populated area of the map. Preferably, try and avoid detection for at least 30 seconds.
