Popular Xbox games — July 24th, 2022

By Heidi Nicholas,

Our latest Xbox Gameplay Chart of popular Xbox games show Xbox Game Pass additions As Dusk Falls and Watch Dogs 2 just missing out on the top 20, while more new appearances and reappearances crop up further down the chart.

Fall Guys refuses to budge for the fifth week running, and there's no change in the top ten until we get to Forza Horizon 5 at sixth, which has jumped up two spaces following its Series 10 update and the release of its Hot Wheels DLC. PowerWash Simulator has kept its spot at ninth since last week — while House Flipper has now dropped off the top 40, both it and PowerWash Simulator were popular additions to Xbox Game Pass, with the House Flipper devs referring to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass team as "the best of the best." Then there's Call of Duty: Vanguard, which has jumped up two spots to 16th — it's not quite as high as might have been expected, given that the game is currently offering free access to multiplayer and Zombies. Far Cry 5 continues to drop as the boost from its addition to Xbox Game Pass wears off, falling three places this week to 19th. Then there's the more recent Xbox Game Pass additions, As Dusk Falls and Watch Dogs 2, both making their debut appearances at 21st and 22nd respectively.

Elden Ring has dropped a little, falling three places to 23rd, while just below, Sea of Thieves has sunk to 25th. Red Dead Redemption 2 has fallen four places to 27th, perhaps as a result of the news that Rockstar will be ditching "major" Red Dead Online updates to focus on GTA 6. Trek to Yomi, meanwhile, has re-joined the chart at 34th after it was included in the latest Xbox Game Pass weekly quests. Then there's MultiVersus making its first appearance at 37th after launching into open alpha for early access players. The MultiVersus open beta kicks off tomorrow, so we can most likely expect to see MultiVersus rise. Just below, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition makes its first appearance at 38th — like Trek to Yomi, it too was included in the Xbox Game Pass weekly quests. Lastly, No Man's Sky has just re-joined the top 40 at 40th, thanks to Endurance: the game's 20th major free update. This week's disappearances are House Flipper, Loot River, Assassin's Creed Origins, Naraka: Bladepoint, My Friend Peppa Pig, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge.

Looking ahead, we have the open beta of MultiVersus and the addition of Inside to Xbox Game Pass, before early August brings us the likes of Two Point Campus, Arcade Paradise, and Cult of the Lamb.
